Negative experience: *DO NOT COME TO THIS GAMESTOP* I got my girl to come in to pickup an order of multiple SD cards. The employees proceeded to raise his voice at my girlfriend assuming it was to resell and saying stuff along the lines of “We know this is for reselling and we hate resellers” and “to tell your boyfriend to stop doing this”, overall pushing my girl to damn near tears just because she was picking up multiple SD cards for me. She never mentioned anything about reselling, however the employees made her feel very uncomfortable with the whole situation. The employees were very unprofessional and should not be making unprofessional comments just because his personal opinion and assuming things of “I hate resellers”.

Negative experience: This particular gamestop is completely unprofessional. First, I called beforehand because I've been looking for this game for a bit and I see they have one. Then I call and ask to make sure they have it and please hold one for me as I'm coming a long way and on a limited time. He doesn't ask for my name, I have to ask if he needs it. I finally get there and he didn't pull it and sells the only copy to the person in front of me. The manager or managers don't offer solutions, they don't offer apologies. They tell me I can yell at the employee which horrified me. I work in retail, why would you tell someone they could yell at one of your employees?! There may have been one more somewhere but I don't have time, I have to get back to work, I ask if they can send it to the gamestop near me as an apology for messing up. They ignore me and never answer. This is why people go to Amazon or spend money elsewhere because you guys can't even follow simple directions and don't care about making things right. I hope you don't do this to other people ever again. Jerks.

Negative experience: The young lady who I will not name is very rude. She will rather send you out the store than help you, if you are looking for a helpful and inviting environment I can’t force you to go elsewhere, but I highly recommend not coming to this location.
Negative experience: They do not answer the phones. Last time I was there they were talking about my physical appearance as I left and it was really uncomfortable
Positive experience: It's hit or miss depending on who's working. There's a female supervisor who slow in everything she does. If there is a line and you don't have time just leave. Pretty slow majority of them with the exception of one guy. He was pretty great.

Positive experience: This gamestop has been here forever, before it was a gamestop it was a funcoland. the staff are friendly and it is well run unlike the one in Nicholasville. Modern gamestop is a shadow of uts former self but that isnt this store's fault.

Fantastic experience: I had to make this review in response to the previous review written by Cameron Tapscott. It is appalling blatant lying is allowed on these reviews so allow me to set the record straight as a customer who stood in line for 45 minutes prior to GameStop opening this morning. In total there was a line of about 30 of us before the store opened. The manager opened the store approximately 15 minutes early in respect to us customers that arrived early and were waiting in line outside in the cold. The person putting the employees on blast in the previous review would not have gotten any cards regardless if the store opened at 10am as opposed to 945am as the rest of us who had prepared to buy Blooming Waters Pokemon cards knew to arrive early enough to get a spot in line before they sold out. The employees should be praised for opening early and preventing us from waiting any longer in the frigid cold than we already did.
Negative experience: We were specifically told the store opened at 10am for a release they only had 20 of. We got there 10 minutes early to receive the news they had opened early and sold out. Very disappointed in the employee that gave us misinformation.
Fantastic experience: Today, I witnessed a concerning incident in the store. A customer entered in a highly aggressive and confrontational manner, using inappropriate language toward an employee. Despite this behavior, the employee remained professional and took the time to explain why the customer’s request could not be fulfilled until a specific step in the process was completed. From my understanding, when making large purchases, customers often receive a fraud detection text message asking for confirmation to process the order. If this step is not completed, the transaction cannot proceed. It seemed the customer was unaware of this process and directed undue frustration toward the employee. What stood out to me was the customer’s blatant disrespect and rude behavior, especially as this unfolded in front of their child. In contrast, the employee, who I believe may have been the assistant manager named Jeffrey, demonstrated exceptional patience and professionalism. To Jeffrey: You handled a difficult situation with grace and excellent customer service. Please do not let disrespectful customers discourage you. Your dedication has earned my loyalty as a returning shopper. Keep up the fantastic work!
Negative experience: Bought and paid for a PS5 Pro online! Waited 2 hours and went to pick it up! The assistant manager looked at the computer and he said I see where you paid and everything is clear and then would not give me the console for whatever stupid reason! So I cancelled the order and left! This guy lost game stop over 800$ and a customer who will not return to any game stop ever again! I highly recommend not going to the franchise! Customer service is ignorant 100%

Negative experience: Walked into the store at 7:30 to do a trade in and the tall white gentleman with stupid curly hair turned me away. How rude and literally only 2 people were in the store. I called corporate and they informed me that there is no such policy. I will never come to this location again
Fantastic experience: Highly knowledgeable staff. The two individuals working when I went in and visited were able to answer all my questions and then some. Availability and pricing of most items in the store seemed to be on par, if not better than most places. I love visiting gamestop, even in my 30s.... Makes me feel like i'm a teenager again. Will be back soon and definitely recommend them for anything gaming related!

Negative experience: I came in to exchange my controller, and nobody was in line. I stepped up to the register and Brian tells me that he’s just got in and he needed to take a couple transactions before he can exchange my controller and slip me in line. The other representative finished a customer and grab my controller And exchanged it for me in minutes while Brian was still working on the same transactions he skipped me with. In most customer service stores , I’ve always thought that it was a first come first serve thing. It was obviously noticeable to Brian’s other coworker, as to why he hurried up and jumped on my transaction. I just hope that nobody else have this experience coming here.
Negative experience: If I look on the website and see an item available for trade in, I shouldn't be told at the store that they're refusing trade without them even looking at it. Don't bother taking trades here.

Fantastic experience: I went to GameStop this morning to buy a Nintendo switch game that my son had asked for. I had looked it up online very quickly and it had a little Japanese boy on the front. I asked the guy if it was age-appropriate for 11 and the salesman said absolutely not. “It’s for mature audiences and from from what he’d seen there’s blood and killing m. I don’t know what kind of mother you are but I wouldn’t buy it.” I said, “ok thank you for your honesty. We will not be getting that game for him.” They didn’t make a sale today, but I’ll be back for sure!
Negative experience: Walked in and there was one customer ahead of me. Employee asked me if I need help. I said I’m looking for a headset for a ps5. He said he’d be right with me. The customer leaves so I’m by the headsets seeing which one I’m going to purchase. 10 minutes later I’m still waiting for a headset. The other employee is on the phone with a customer walking around the store looking for something. The guy I originally talked to was on the computer. I assume the guy on the phone couldn’t find what the customer needed so he gives the guy I talked to the phone. Now he’s looking for it throughout the store and in the back. Meanwhile I’m waiting! They hang up the phone. Now a new customer comes in! By listening I find out it’s a new hire. They’re trying to show him how to log in! Meanwhile I’m still waiting to purchase my headset! So after approximately 15 minutes of waiting “ I know this because I was on the phone “ I leave! Went right around the corner to Best Buy and purchased my headset!
Fantastic experience: I cannot stress you enough; the sweetest people you’ll ever meet. I’m so sad I didn’t get their names but my boyfriend and I were selling an IPhone and they were so sweet and kind to us and I throughly enjoyed talking to them about the nintendo switch and games! it felt like i was talking to friends, I will definitely will be going back to get my switch lite when the time comes!

Fantastic experience: Without a doubt the best Game stop I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with. Super clean store, easy to find, great selection of games and collectibles, and fantastic staff. Of all the Gamestops in this town, this is the only one that I will be choosing from now on solely based on staff performance. Above and beyond does not begin to describe the associates at this location. I came to sell a controller (which was a super quick an easy process by the way), and ended up buying quite a few tokens for one of their gatcha machines. I didnt get a single repeat out of ten tries, which was amazing mind you, and the staff who assisted me was phenomenal. Very friendly, quick, and highly knowledgeable. I absolutely reccommend this particular location above others.

Negative experience: I preordered a funko pop around 2 months ago and they finally received it a few days ago. I got a call and they never once said they only hold for 48 hours. I couldn’t make it in until after the 48 hours and they said they sold it and could either order me another or refund me. How can you sell something I paid for 2 months ago? At least mention when calling that you have 2 days to pick it up.
