Fantastic experience: We didn't get what we were looking for this trip but the staff was super friendly in checking other locations and making suggestions. Cool place!

Fantastic experience: These guys put GameStop to shame. These guys (at this location specifically) were understanding and kind. They were patient. They treat their customers with respect. They have the best discounts. I don't typically leave reviews but these guys earned it and then some.

Fantastic experience: Good selection, but I am weary to buy any console here again. I came in and got an xbox 360 elite, went to set it up the next day and low and behold no controller in the box. My fault i should have checked before leaving but little did I know the disc reader on the 360 elite was bad and does not read discs. So now for a second time I have to go up there and return the main item I went in to get. Update went in to swap out console and the employee was very nice and understanding and fast at swapping it out for me. They even made sure it worked before I left.

Fantastic experience: This place is awesome. Purchased a handful of used games and a console there. Good prices on everything they sell there. We did have a few used items there that were defective (which is to be expected buying used products produced 10+ years ago) BUT they are always very understanding and go above and beyond to make things right. Positive experience: This shop has retro video games and consoles for sale but lacks any merchandise in the collection category. The only other items were a few custom local art for sale.

Fantastic experience: This location has been amazing. We purchased a used switch and switch lite. Once we got it home we found some problems with the controllers for the switch. Took them in and they let us trade them in and pick another set. Took the new set home but the left one had bad stick drift. Took them back the next day and the employee gave us store credit to use on a new box set. The employees have been super understanding and helpful and its been a pleasant experience.

Fantastic experience: Spencer is an awesome worker there!! He helped me out buying my first OLED switch there at this location they have a lot of different variety of accessories and vintage video games/consoles. I was even surprised they had plushies too! The membership there was easy to sign up too just needs an email and you'll gain credits from all your purchases at Game Over, and honestly in my personal opinion they have a better credit reward system than gamestop! I can see this company going far! Thank you Spencer for the 20 year anniversary bag and cheers to 20 more years!!!!

Negative experience: on sunday of march 2nd 2025 i came to this location and see how much i could get for an animal crossing new leaf edition 3ds and a couple 3ds games , i cant argue about the low offer they offered me because im not that person and im understanding even tho the console costed a fortune. but one issue i had is that when i got home i noticed my copy of super mario bros 2 is missing on its case i sorta feel like they took my game haha , good service tho ❤️

Fantastic experience: I can’t begin to describe how freaking AMAZING the employees at this location are. Specifically Spencer and Brad. I have no words. I can only say don’t go ANYWHERE else because you will not find the knowledge, kindness, patience, and out of this world customer service that they showed me. We need more people like Spencer and Brad in this world. I don’t know who is in charge but I really hope they read this and give those two what they deserve because they are the driving force of the business and the success of at least this location is a testament to the staff. If I could give 50 stars I would.

Fantastic experience: This place and the other locations always have such a great selection of games and games related things. I'll occasionally see a rare fighting game from my childhood behind the glass and can't resist buying it! It's also great how they support local artists like myself by selling their game related art. Customer service also goes above and beyond. The man with the light colored beard did great while my family was there recently. Every visit is always a remarkable experience.

Fantastic experience: The Best Retro Game Store I've Ever Been To. There is a large selection of games and consoles to buy. I recently have been looking for a Nintendo Wii, so I stopped by Game Over. I found one for only 15 dollars with its sync button broken (If you don't know, there is an easy way to connect a Wii remote to the Wii without a sync button). With the price of some games, adapters, and controllers, it costed about 60 dollars. The employees constantly give discounts, and today was no exception. The employee took 15 dollars off of the price. The people working there are always nice, and let you try consoles on the TV to make sure they work. I've been going there for about a year and a half now, and it's always a great experience!

Fantastic experience: This is a good store. They have authentic video game (retro) music playing in the background to give an old school ambiance. The staff was friendly and willing to take about the music source and exchange information about other sources. They had a good selection of both games as well as ambiance setting pieces like posters and doormats. Overall definitely worth visiting even if you end up not buying anything.

Negative experience: Ok so I went to the place before and I bought a PlayStation 3 from a nice guy and i pacifically asked if they take old system or broken systems and he told me yes and so I took his word and I brought them today plus my PlayStation virtual reality headset and this other guy looked at them and said they couldn’t take the old systems and so I brought in my vr and he said he couldn’t do that two because “something split on it “ when there was nothing on it besides a little dirt and it works perfectly fine and he said he would do that for $10 dollars like I am so confused because I saw other broken systems that we’re getting fixed so I thought they would take it and fix it first and then sell it like most gaming places

Fantastic experience: I’ve always enjoyed picking up an older game or two here. Today Dale went way out of his way doing a reboot of a ps3 for my kids. He made it like new and had a answer for every question of mine. Thanks!

Negative experience: Like the Mayor of Bagtown already mentioned a few months ago, the price of an item I had called up was weirdly marked up. I called about a Wii remote earlier in the day that they told me was 38.99 with the other one being 80. After I express interest over the phone and show up, the price is suddenly 49.99. I bought it anyway because I needed one but why do something like that? I almost regretted making my purchase as I was walking out of the door because of the shadiness. It just seems disingenuous to customers.

Negative experience: So I've been coming here for years, spent absurd amounts of money at both locations and have lately been noticing a decline... Because of things like, trading in a game for $1 only for it to be re-listed for $30 or them suddenly losing track of my store credit right as I'm about to make a big purchase.. along with some painfully awkward experiences from the employees at this location recently, I've really started to rely on ebay for my games.

Fantastic experience: New location is good. Staff friendly and helpful. If you're looking for the little console museum that was in the previous South Parmer location, be informed that it can now be found at the Anderson location. Older games (other than sports titles) are getting harder and harder to come by, but they have some gems.

Negative experience: I have been coming to Game Over for years now and they have gone downhill in a bad way. Horrible and insulting trade in prices are one thing, but increasing the sale prices on games AFTER I already called to check price and availability is the last straw. That is a very sketchy business practice right there. They used to have fair prices and a good selection but now its slim pickings with prices higher than what you'd find on Ebay. They are doing everything they can to stay in business including throwing loyal customers under the bus. I was understanding when i'd get the occasional defective game or console but even that has become a more prevalent issue on top of everything else. I wish things were different but you should take your business somewhere else. Game Over does not respect you at all. Again, I was a customer here longer than most of their current employees have been there. I write this with a heavy heart. EDIT after response from owner: 1: Changing the price on a game BECAUSE I called to check is shady no matter how you spin it. Nobody at the store had heard of the game I called about so I know it's price wasn't updated THAT often. 2: 14 days is the shortest return time out of all the game stores I have ever been to and when half of your inventory doesn't work, store credit only isn't going to cut it. EBAY has a far superior return policy and customer assurance AND better prices. 3: After trading in a console with controllers/accessories and a stack of games, the employee told me its against store policy to disclose how much each part of the trade was worth. What possible reason could you have to make that against store policy? What if i just brought each item in one by one? How does that make any sense? Stop bullsh*tting me, dude.

Fantastic experience: I called Game Over videogames to see if they had all rock bands games available for the Xbox 360. Larry answered the phone and was very professional. I’m from San Antonio Texas. It’s worth the drive to get all the rockband games for my children for Christmas since the rockband games were sold out in San Antonio. When I arrived Larry had a customer but told me he will be right with me. I had multiple questions about rock band. Larry was very professional and answered all my question. Hard to find great people these days. Great customer service and it was worth the drive. Thank you Larry.

Positive experience: Mild frustration/dissappointment after having several positive transactions and interactions at different locations prior, this time, I bought 6 games in one transaction. Buy two get one free deal going on, but because I didn’t make two separate transactions, flushed $20 or so down the drain because they free’d 2 of the older Xbox 360 games at ~$7 a piece instead of one Xbox 360 game and one xb1 game, at ~$16 a piece when I initially bought 3x360 games and 3xXB1 games. Then, few days later when I put the games into my decks, when I realized I had played 2 of the very generic, older, lower cost xb360 COD games, they wouldn’t refund the purchase price, just trade in value, losing another ~$8 across the board. Didn’t even get offered a free Red Bull on fist go-round. I know it’s a business, but a few bucks like that may be silly, but it’s frustrating.

Fantastic experience: This is an outstanding store to find those classic video games we all know and love. I have been there atleast a dozen times. The one time I got a product that I wanted to return they gave me credit which of course I used for my daughter's Wii games. Great place and great staff they are so chill there.
