Experiencia fantástica: Yesterday a friend of mine and I went into this Gamestop to trade in some old games and consoles that we have had sitting for a while and when we entered we were instantly greeted by the employee Oliver and he helped us with our trade ins and respectfully told us that we needed to factory reset the consoles before trading in, so we went back and reset everything and upon arrival again Oliver was quick to help us again and successfully finish our total trade ins. I would highly recommended any customer that goes to this Gamestop to see if Oliver is available so that they know whatever request or question they have will be greeted with a polite reply and leave very satisfied. 10 out of 10!

Experiencia positiva: I came 30min before they close expecting to run in and run out, but they had closed everything. The lights were on so we knocked and a lady saw us. Rather than signal at us that she can’t let us in or anything she completely ignored us. Edit: I went again and there was a guy who helped us quickly get what we needed. Very kind.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely rude and Disgusting. I was there today with my girlfriend and we were planning on buying a PS5 controller and a Wii game. One guy was pretty helpful and the other was very stand- off- ish and rude. He was on his phone the whole time and was making my girlfriend and I extremely uncomfortable. Saying “do you want to see what the inside of a human skull looks like” or “do you want to see what the inside of a human brain looks like?” He was very rude when i was trying to understand how the controllers were priced and said “well dont look at us” in a very unprofessional manner . Ive been coming to gamestop my whole life and have never been so uncomfortable and unsatisfied. My girlfriend and I had to walk out of the store and leave. Very sickening having an employee talk like that in front of anyone let alone a customer. Ill spend my money elsewhere. Please get your employees in check gamestop. Happened on may first at 7:10 ish.

Experiencia positiva: Customer Service Matters. I come into this store and am greeted nicely by the guys working. They help me with anything I need and sort any problem I have. But one time a small woman, I can't remember her name, was extremely rude to my wife. My wife wanted to get a card graded with my account and I was with her so she can use my account. This woman's attitude and tone were so belittling. She was talking to us like children. We both left the store very upset. We came back to grade a card again, thankfully there was a different worker and had no issues.

Experiencia fantástica: In my experience, the customer service here is good. It's too bad other customers have dealt with unfortunate circumstances regarding the help received. I haven't been there when it's been busy; 2 of the 3 employees who I've interacted with were professionally chatty, helpful, friendly, with a down-to-earth, approachable attitude. In a separate occasion, the 3rd one was very serious, not very friendly but was very knowledgeable, helpful & still did what was needed professionally. In my experience, they answer the phone when I call, and provide accurate information, which I appreciate. I'll keep visiting this branch whenever I can

Experiencia negativa: Short chubby Spanish lady at the front with glasses was rude and wouldn’t let me check my pro members account because I didn’t have a physical Id, I had it on my phone when I drove over 20 min to come to this specific GameStop because this is where I made the purchase. Instead she was extremely rude and disrespectful and sarcastic and had a nasty tone. She swore I was trying to hack my account and I had the photo id on my phone along side with the email and phone number that is on file. She was just trying to make it difficult because she presumed I was trying to scam. Shes rotten and I was nothing but respectful.

Experiencia positiva: Overall good. The selection of wii games shocked me due to the wii and wii u nit having a lot of rep in gamestops. I also bought mario galaxy 2 pack here and the staff told me about the game and their experiences really nice. The amiibo selection is good but I wished it was in a box or on a table not behind the counter so I can see the condition. Yet I still bought a bowser amiibo which was level 50 on smash bros. Sadly this gamestop gets scalpers always which makes the pokemon collection not great. Still good would put it as a 4.5 if they were an option to.

Experiencia negativa: I’ve never put a review out on here and it’s a shame the one time I feel the need to is due to my multiple bad experiences with this location due to one person repeatedly. After reading these reviews it appears I’m not the only one with this issue. I visit and shop various GameStops around my area frequently, and this location happens to be closest to me, so I visit this one the most. Everytime I’m shopping with Suheil behind the counter, it is typically not a pleasant experience. She talks to you like you’re stupid, which I know isn’t just a me problem because I hear the way she interacts with other customers as well. This is probably the most frequent issue I deal with but unfortunately not the worst. One day I came in with the intentions of buying an Xbox Series X. When I asked to buy one of the Xbox’s, I was met with an interrogation by Suheil, asking me why I would want to buy an Xbox over a Playstation with a derogatory tone as if I’m stupid. (Are you seeing a reoccurring theme here..?) I laughed it off assuming she was just making a joke but she was being dead serious and basically tried to talk me out of buying an Xbox implying I’d have to be stupid to buy one. From my understanding she is the store manager, and regardless of your own opinions of certain consoles it seems counter-intuitive of GameStop to have her as Manager when she’s constantly talking to customers like they’re stupid- going as far as stopping customers from buying things because of her own opinion. This experience wasn’t out of suggesting “better” options, it was out of belittling you as a person. She’s incredibly condescending. There have been other instances where I’ve tried trading in consoles and she’s told me she can’t take them without explanation. I’ll ask what is the reason she can’t take the console for trade so I know what to look out for in the future so I can save my time and hers and I don’t get much of an explanation, which leads me to believe she doesn’t have a reason and just doesn’t wanna deal the with the task of testing the console. This review doesn’t reflect GameStop as a whole, most of my experiences in this area are pleasant 90% of the time. The Pembroke Commons and Davie Tower locations have always been pleasant to me. The Sawgrass location prior to it closing recently was also a good experience most of the time, and The Pembroke Lakes Mall location was also awesome when it was still open. I spend a lot of time and money with GameStop, I’m a pro member, I do a lot of pre-orders and a lot of my own personal purchases with these guys. If you’re gonna spend your hard earned dollar, save yourself the headache and the poor customer service with Suheil, and take yourself to the Davie or Pembroke Commons locations, those guys are top notch. ** Adding this in post, I forgot to mention that Ryan, who I met at the Pembroke Lakes location and who is now at this location in Pembroke Square, is awesome. It is always a pleasant experience with him and his customer service is 5 stars. I’m happy to see in other reviews that other people feel the same!

Experiencia negativa: Completely unprofessional. One lady working the entire store and she was rude and demeaning to me and several other customers. I accidentally gave too much cash to her and she waved it in my face and proceeded to count the money to me like I was a 3 year old. Then proceeded to shove the purchase I made into me without a care. Unacceptable behavior to have when dealing with people.

Experiencia negativa: Beware of Employees forcing you to open an account to purchase pokemon cards. You do not need an account to purchase. They are forcing you to do this so that they meet there "open account quota". I repeat do not create an account! This is employees scamming customers and NOT ALLOWING THEM TO BUY 1 PACK OF CARDS!! I called the cooperate office infront of the employee to confirm and they too said this is unacceptable. So if you do go, please make sure your aware no account is needed. I wish I could do negative stars!

Truly disappointment that people think that since you want to buy their stuff they have the right to treat you like that. I hope they can talk to her and ask her if she really likes the job . Experiencia negativa: Terrible staff on the night 11-30-25. Also, no one answers the phone called multiple days in a row. I understand why GameStop’s have been closing the customer service is extremely bad. Staff is not attentive, no effort to help. Very bad service is a good reason to go back to ordering from online competitors such as Best Buy, target, Walmart, and Amazon.

Experiencia negativa: My recent visit to this GameStop location revealed significant issues related to customer service, organization, and overall management. The experience clearly demonstrated a lack of urgency, minimal attention to customers, and unprofessional behavior displayed by both staff members and the on-duty manager. Upon entering the store, there was already a long wait at the register. Rather than focusing on assisting waiting customers, the employees working the counter were openly discussing how relieved they were that the register machine was finally functioning properly. While it is understandable to feel relieved when equipment issues are resolved, it was concerning that this conversation took priority over acknowledging customers. Their comments implied that unresolved equipment issues had been neglected for some time, further contributing to the store’s inefficiency. During this time, the female manager on duty showed no concern for the growing line or the extended wait customers were experiencing. She remained disengaged, providing no guidance or support to improve workflow or reduce wait times. Merchandise was left scattered in the register area, creating visual disorganization and obstructing the workspace. Despite the presence of three employees—two of whom were simply talking and not assisting customers—no effort was made to remove or process the items. This lack of initiative was both unprofessional and reflective of poor leadership. When I asked whether the store carried additional merchandise, I was told that they “might have it in the boxes,” but that the items were not yet checked in. No attempt was made to look through the boxes or offer to check product availability. The response was dismissive and demonstrated no sense of urgency or willingness to assist customers beyond the bare minimum. This mindset ultimately communicates that customer time is not valued. The most concerning aspect of this visit was that the manager appeared to treat her role casually, acting as though managing a store was optional rather than a responsibility. There was no direction given to employees, no prioritization of customer service, and no awareness of the impact of long wait times and neglected tasks. Leadership sets the tone for staff behavior, and the lack of professional standards was evident throughout the store. These issues—poor organization, unprofessional conduct, lack of urgency, and inadequate management—contribute to the ongoing reputation challenges the company faces. Retail success depends heavily on customer engagement and efficient operations, and this location demonstrated neither. Until this store addresses its leadership, customer service expectations, and workflow standards, it will continue to deliver a disappointing experience. At this time, I cannot recommend this location based on my visit.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased 2 games together and as Suheil was checking me out she also mention the 1 year protection plan as apart of the order that I DID NOT ask for…I asked her kindly to remove the plan and she informed me how it’s recommended based on someone else’s previous experience…She removed the protection from 1 of the games but as I left later I checked my receipt and saw that there was still a charge for the protection on the other game…This type dishonest sales practice infuriate me as someone also in sales,specially after I called it out. **UPDATE** I will never visit this location again,Suheil is very rude and sarcastic,kicked me out the store because I called her out on being sneaky about adding warranty on games without approval and denying refund on preordered game….Came back later to get refund,another employee assisted me with no Issues whatsoever and Suheil still insisted on giving me a hard time….Absolute worst customer service I’ve had in a while…..0/10

Experiencia negativa: I usually avoid leaving negative reviews, but I feel it’s necessary this time. Every time I visit, I end up feeling unwelcome for no apparent reason. I always try to be polite and respectful because I understand how demanding customer service can be. However, there is no excuse for Ashley’s consistently unkind and dismissive attitude. She often looks like she doesn’t want to be there, and her behavior makes it uncomfortable for customers. To be honest, if engaging with people is that difficult for her, it might be time to consider another role. On top of that, getting through by phone is nearly impossible. The line is either disconnected or never picked up. I’m not sure if management will take this seriously, but everyone deserves to be treated with basic kindness and professionalism. Thanks, be better.

Experiencia negativa: I have been here two times to trade in my watch. I called before I showed up the day before they told me my watch was fine even though it was on my wrist. I did not erase it now. I come back the next day like they promised with the assistant manager here and I got told to come back tomorrow, which does not work because I work. Do not lie to people at least tell them you can’t do it. If you cannot do it don’t waste over an hour and a half of my time because your “assistant manager” apparently only works every day that I’m not here.

Experiencia negativa: I write this, being a former ASL. I haven't shopped at Gamestop for some time and didn't think I'd return. I decided to end my dry spell with you guys by buying controllers. Shouldn't be bad, its just a controller. I always buy my controllers with the prp, because it WAS a good deal. However, my last trip to Gamestop proved to not only anger me but ruin any chance of returning g as a customer. When buying my ps5 controller, Ashley began to talk of the prp. She mentions replacing and says "so if the new one breaks, you replace it with another new controller" to which I responded, "I know, I was an asl back in the day" Fast forward a couple months and my controller has stick drift. I go to the store to replace my controller and she grabs a pre-owned controller. I tell her no, I want a new controller. I bought a new one" She then tells me that the returns are for used. So one, Ashley lied to fix her prp numbers. I know how corporate is always looking at those gpgs and prps, so she lied to get her sale. Because had I known it was for a used controller, I wouldn't purchase the prp. AND your return policy states that it's under the stores discretion to give used or new. That it depends on availability. We'll, there were at least 30 new controllers on that wall. I hope the "discretion" was worth it. To charge $15 prp to both used and new, is shady. And using Word like "discretion" to cheat customers, is why stores continue to close. Nice job. In both having shady deals and allowing your employees to do whatever is necessary to make numbers.

When I came in I was greeted by a gentleman who was very nice but when I went to the cashier who was a young lady with glasses, a COVID mask, and a black "Friends" shirt inquiring about my account and trade in credit she got irritated because I had a lot of questions regarding my account. If that's the case, this person should not be working in retail providing poor customer service.

Experiencia fantástica: The worker there (i wish i caught his name) who worked yesterday, was amazing, gave me lots of good information even though they didn’t have the PS5 I wanted to buy. He gave me the advice to avoid the issues he’s seen in the past, where people have had their account and credit card stolen. Small chance it could’ve happened, but super quick process to ensure it doesn’t. I didn’t even ask, just a nice guy. Anything else I need as far as games go, I’ll be going here

Experiencia negativa: I called this store and asked them about the deal that ended same day where I receive the same cash amount as store credit. They told me I was fine to come in and do the deal. I drove 20 mins there and was told they couldn’t provide me with the deal because they didn’t have enough money in the register. EVERY other store I called said they could do prepaid cards but this guy told me I couldn’t. He sent me to another store and didn’t tell me that the store stopped doing trade in’s 10 mins before closing. A really bad experience but it’s GameStop so I guess that’s expected.

Nothing from Wii, nothing from DS, nothing from Nintendo 64. And a bunch of games. Honestly we wouldn't even have cared if they didn't give store credit or cash, if they had just taken everything so we wouldn't have had to cart it back to the car.

Experiencia negativa: I would love to come to a store that says open until 8 PM, and it is actually open until 8 PM. If not, you can state on the sign that staff takes 30 minues breaks ine hour before closing.....Kids wanted their game... waited for 30 minutes and left. I was gonna buy a PS5 an extra controller and the head set, but it looks like I have to take my money somewhere else. BTW more people are waiting outside. Andd another dad and son just arrived... but guess what the store is closed....

Experiencia negativa: One of the worst gamestops ever, imagine ordering something online in the morning, showing at at 6 pm to an empty store and the person in charge telling you to come later when ther order is ready. Come on, I had to tell her that I was gonna cancel the order in order for her to give me the game I order.

Experiencia positiva: Needs a deep clean. I am surprised in this day and age of covid that we now live in that a store would be so dirty especially behind the counter? I was taken back a tad by the lack luster customer service that I am otherwise used to getting especially compared to the prestige store locations, this store is in dire need of either an overhaul or someone to step in and get it up to where it needs to be because at present this is not the way. I was forced to wait for all the customers to clear out for the acting manager to finally process my online pick-up order which in the end was just a couple of clicks and turning over a receipt. For what normally takes less than 15-30 seconds to complete I had to wait over 45 mins for the manager to open his monitor screen and process my order. I'd look to other locations if possible.

Experiencia fantástica: Store called me for my pre orders just like they said they would. I’m still missing some of my pre orders but it’s not their fault. GameStop help your stores with more desirable items. Stores are missing out on sales when they don’t have items in stock. Thank you again I will continue to keep shopping here

Experiencia negativa: i feel robbed by gamestop buy 5 game 2 delivered to me on the same day, the other 3 supposedly sent me, but it never arrived, i got tired of calling, i spent hours on the phone and nothing, this is already going for 4 weeks, so i decided to go to the store, I was like 30 minutes and didn't solve anything, today I have to waste time and go to the store again, but I am convinced that I will lose my money, a terrible service $ 158.00 sad that.

Experiencia negativa: Be careful and always check the bag (and boxes if it’s a preowned game). Purchased four 3ds games as a gift and only three of the game boxes actually had the games in them. Extremely disappointed

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give them less. The worst customer service and lack of communication. I know today it’s difficult but placed for curbside pick up and it’s still two hours since my order and have yet to receive notice that it’s ready. The store is only providing curbside which is great but two people working and still can’t get things done in timely fashion.

Experiencia negativa: Went in this location after not being in a GameStop for years. The store seemed very organized and had a line of 6 people waiting to check out. I was baffled when I saw that one employee (Tiffany) has just left while the store had customers and the phones were going off. The other employee (Eric) was extremely well mannered with the guests and definitely had an amazing and helpful attitude with his his patrons. Almost 40 MINUTES later after six customers I made it to the front extremely agitated at the fact his coworker had just left not only her position but also had left Eric by himself. Eric helped me check out what I needed and was apologetic about his nomad coworker. I could have easily purchased what I needed on the PSN network, Best Buy, Walmart instead I chose to visit GameStop and seriously realized why this company is failing.
