Experiencia negativa: If I could give zero stars, I would. I visited this GameStop location on Sunday (4/26/26) and purchased a Mystery Power Pack. I was genuinely excited—I've been wanting to try my luck with one of these mystery slab boxes, and I finally pulled a card I really wanted: a 151 Charmander SIR graded 10. Unfortunately, that excitement didn’t last long. When I flipped the PSA slab over to check the back, I immediately noticed a major issue—a large crack running through the case from the inside. This clearly wasn’t minor wear; it looked like damage from shipping or handling, which completely affects the value and integrity of the collectible. I brought the issue to the assistant manager, who was helpful in the moment. She took photos and submitted a report to the district manager. I made it clear that I actually liked the card I pulled—I just wanted the damaged slab addressed, since a cracked case makes it far less valuable as a collectible. The next day, I received a call from the store manager after they spoke with their district manager. I expected a reasonable solution—something like having the slab reholdered or replaced so the item I paid for would be in proper condition. Instead, I was told my only option was to trade in the card I like… for another mystery box. That makes absolutely no sense. Why would I give up a card I specifically wanted, just to gamble again, when the issue wasn’t my choice or fault to begin with? At the end of the day, I paid for a graded collectible in good condition and received a damaged product. Offering another blind box as a replacement instead of fixing the actual problem feels dismissive and unfair. This experience completely took away from what should have been a fun purchase, and it’s disappointing to see a company handle a clear product issue this way. I expected better customer service and accountability. What makes me even more nervous and uneasy, is that I have 6 cards I’ve also trusted GameStop to get graded in the beginning of March and not I’m not sure what condition to expect once they return. Edit: contacted Customer service yesterday and they informed me the District Manager is to contact me via email/phone call to discuss dispute and find resolution to issue. Still no call/email from acting district manager. Edit: NO CALLS or emails from District manager. They obviously don’t care about their main customer base. All I asked for was a partial refund/credit so I could get the BROKEN slab reupholstered myself. and nobody at store level can do anything because of “District manager directions”. Obviously customer service isn’t their focus.

Experiencia fantástica: This is my local GameStop after the one in the target plaza closed. I rather enjoy the retro game section and are always cutting deals like 4 for $20 or 4 for $40. On this particular visit I was genuinely impressed with the customer service from Issac & Luis who were awesome to work with as Luis was diligently looking for different retro games I had purchase in the drawer Issac was dealing with young man who wanted a WWE wrestling video game with Brock Lesnar while he was looking for the game I was fact checking to make sure this young man got to play as Brock Lesnar in the game in which he settled for WWE 2K19 on PS4. Truly great work from Issac & Luis and highly recommend anyone stop by for any video game needs
Experiencia negativa: Placed an order for an in-stock game last night. I went to go pick it up and they had sold my copy to someone else. Blamed it on the “system” taking a minimum of 24 hours to process the transaction. They said they have no idea when the next shipment will arrive and told me they don’t handle sales or customer service, I would have to call corporate. It is a $75 game and they are just holding onto my money for an indeterminate amount of time. I would not recommend buying anything from GameStop.

Experiencia fantástica: I called ahead to make sure a game I was ordering was in stock and would be available for same-day pickup. The girl who assisted me, Kari, was super helpful and friendly and even called back to confirm she had recieved my order and it was ready for pickup. The cashier who assisted me, Jeremy, was also very nice and made my pickup and additonal item purchase very easy. Wonderful staff and a great overall experience. Thank you! :)
Experiencia negativa: I traveled about an hour and a half to get to the store and bought three t-shirts for my children today I took them out of the bag to look at them and I noticed all three of them have the security tag on them. So today I've been calling and calling the store trying to make sure I can come in and they'll take care of it for me with no issues before I travel another hour and a half but now no one is answering the phone.

Both of them were very kind and helpful. I had quite the list of games for the both of them. They took there time to make sure I got the best quality game and displayed extreme professionalism and care during my experience. I will be going back to this GameStop every month just for these two!
Experiencia negativa: I go in to buy a refurbished PS5 controller advertised at $52.24. When I arrive, I find a used black PS5 controller on display listed at 49.99. When I go to pick it out, the sales rep says it’s going to ring up at 69.99. Any other store would honor the price it’s displaying. Anyways, I ask about the refurbished controller advertised, and they tell me they can’t price match online pricing, even though it’s their own website. I have to buy it online, and pick it up at store. I go to buy it online, and GameStop wants to charge 9.99 for shipping, even though I’m looking at the controller in front of me. Won’t be supporting a GameStop again. We all need to stop supporting these shady companies.
Experiencia fantástica: The employees here, especially the manager Jess are exceptional and make this store a step above not just other GameStop’s but other similar businesses in the area and beyond. They are a busy store in a large shopping plaza and have to deal with a lot of different people every day and they do a great job with it. I’ve made many purchases here, lined up for drops, graded cards through PSA, just about everything they offer and I’ve been happy every time. Just have a bit of patience and they will do right by you.

Experiencia negativa: 100% you should not buy anything here. They are selling broken used equipment. I purchased a Wii Fit Board online and picked it up at this location. I took it home, and discovered the battery compartment was filled with battery acid from leaking batteries. I still tried it out with fresh batteries and it would not turn on. When I brought it back, I was told that I would have to wait at the back of the line to return it, and the line was around the entire store. There is clearly no quality control involved in obtaining used items. Nobody ever checked this unit. A pawnshop or thrift store would not have accepted this used item for resale, yet this GameStop was fine with taking my money for something that they knew was broken. I recommend staying away from this store.
Experiencia fantástica: Jeremy was super helpful and went above and beyond. I had my two boys with me and since GamesStop was out of big bags, he offered to carry my merchandise to the car. In all the excitement, I left my phone and Jeremy noticed when he got back and came out to found me. Needless to say, excellent customer service, especially amongst the holiday season .

I come in weekly for PSA submissions because I trust this location with the handling of my cards. Tiff is also amazing when she's handled my PSA submissions, so shout out to her as well as Gio. They told him only Pro Members can buy cards and because he is only 12 he can't open a Pro account. Basically "Sorry, get lost kid." They will gladly sell to a 30 year old scalper with an account though. Find somewhere else that actually appreciates kids in the hobby and spend your money there instead.

Experiencia negativa: The pre-order experience for the Switch 2 at this location was an absolute waste for anyone that actually took the time to do it when orders launched in April. We got the call that we were welcome to come for the midnight release, but when we arrived there were multiple "ticket" lines that were established and if you didn't have one, you got thrown into an overflow line. This line ultimately included a mix of people that had early pre-orders and others that had none and were literally buying at the midnight release. No point in waiting for the initial pre-order at all because you just got lumped in with lucky people that waited to order starting at midnight.

Experiencia negativa: Let me first start by saying my extremely unpleasant and subpar experience yesterday at this GameStop location was entirely due to one employee who from my understanding doesn’t normally work at this store (for whatever that’s worth). I went into the store yesterday afternoon to pickup a couple of ps4 games for my nephew. I walk in go to the ps4 section and pickup up a used COD Black Ops game with a $49.99 sticker on it. I also grabbed a Sonic game for like $20. I get to the counter and a Asian/Pacific Islander looking gentleman greeted me and let me know he could retrieve the games for me but he couldn’t ring me up because he’s not a regular employee at that specific store. While waiting to be rung up the man behind the counter obnoxiously kept trying to sell me more games and protection plans etc. no matter how many times I said no this is all I want today. Anyways a young lady who also appears to be younger Asian/Pacific Islander was the one on the register to ring me up. So she rings me up and my total is like $109 I paid not paying attention then I realized wait the games stickers were $49 and $20. So the gentleman who got the games looked in the bag and took out the COD and low and behold there was a COD for ps5 brand new in the plastic and his excuse was he assumed I meant to grab COD for ps5 not a used ps4 one when I clearly brought two USED PS4 game cases to the counter for purchase! I said no I wanted the used game off the shelf that I brought it was for ps4. So now he brings the game and the girl begins doing my return and starting the process over with what I thought was the right game now , this whole time the man is still attempting to sell me other games I didn’t ask about or have any interest in! So now the young lady finishes ringing me up and my total is still like $101 and I’m like ma’am no that doesn’t add up how does $50 + $20? = $101 even with taxes? She then takes the game out and this time it’s a brand new ps4 game in the wrapper I said no I picked up the used one that you have on the shelf for $49 she then became visibly nervous and didn’t know what to do and she then said “oh sorry we don’t have any used ones” yet they clearly had it on the shelf and when I brought it to the register the gentleman never asked me did I want used or notified me that they didn’t have any actual used ones . Not to mention he put a ps5 game in my bag assuming that’s what I wanted when I clearly brought a ps4 game to him, 2 of them actually! When I called them on it they laughed awkwardly and said “good catch”. Yea it was a good catch I’m glad I have a brain anyways I would never set foot in this location ever in life just based off this one random manager, or owner that I encountered at 2220 S University Drive Davie, Fl. Beware of this character if you decide to shop here people

I stopped by to get some Pokemon cards for my kid and was told by an employee that “you have to be a pro member” (which is paid service) “to buy Pokemon cards from GameStop”. I have been shopping at GameStop a long time and has never experienced this. He told me this has been going on for awhile now, when actually I shopped at game stop and purchased Pokemon cards when obsidian flames blister pack was released and this was not the case. Clearly a way this GameStop does business to boost their pro membership sign up rate. Definitely unethical. I was planning on renewing my pro membership (which expired a few months back) but this experience has me rethinking it all together. Better to spend your money at a different GameStop or somewhere else all together. Integrity goes a long way. Hobby is booming so greed takes over!!!

Experiencia fantástica: Tiffani is absolutely amazing! I took my son’s Switch into the store, and she was able to troubleshoot it and fix it, no problem, no additional charge. It saved me from dealing with an exchange process. She and all of the staff in the store are very friendly and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this location!

Keiry was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. She answered my call promptly when I asked about trading in consoles for a PS5, and when I arrived, she was just as helpful in person—quick, courteous, and informative. She explained the different PlayStation options and helped me choose the best one for my needs and budget. Keiry clearly knows her stuff, and I truly believe she deserves a promotion. Experiencia negativa: HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE TODAY WITH TWO EMPLOYEES! Whoever the man was working with Santiago at 7:30pm that refused to give me his name was absolutely horrible in the way that he responded to my issue. I worked in customer service for a long time and this is not how you go about treating a customer. They are false advertising. They had a game on the shelf for a price of $19.99 that was $29.99 that I wanted to purchase, upon it being rung up it was $29.99. I asked if they can adjust the price which they immediately in a hostile tone, told me no. The gentleman that didn’t give me his name said that they don’t have enough employees to go change the stickers on the shelves so that’s just the way it is and there’s nothing else that they could do about it, clearly that’s false advertising. I will be following up with corporate as there are various complaints about this location with the same issue that I had today with these horrible employees. I will never be coming back to this location.

I went to 3 different ones in a week looking for help, and Tiffani and Keiry were the only ones that had enough patience and care to help me. And the few things they weren’t able to assist with, they gave me recommendations of where I could go to get it done. Best customer service hands down, it’s hard to read any review on here that isn’t 5 stars and singing their praises. Poor, condescending attitude from female employee who appeared to be the “manager.” Went in looking to buy a new system, but the overall vibe and attitude gave me a bad feeling. Will never return to this location. Don’t people understand this is why we shop on Amazon because these employees don’t care one way or the other, nor do they really bother to look at you. God forbid I ask a question.

I wanted to surprise my mom with CoD black ops 2 zombie cause it’s her fav game on the Xbox 360 and they let me in exactly at closing time and sold me 3 fire games for the console on a buy two get one deal and all the games work but they offer a warranty too. I actually had to do a little dance crossing the street back to my car. There is a nice boulder in the parking lot you can dance on right across from the GameStop that I’d give five stars too as well

Experiencia negativa: Terrible customer service. I came in today 12/10/2024 excited to try out GameStop’s new PSA Grading service and was very unhappy with the way the employees handled my business with them. I don’t even know where to start, first is there lack of knowledge on how to use their own system for processing cards to get sent out for grading, second would be how their lack of experience when it comes to processing cards to get sent out for grading risks customers cards getting a decrease in potential value because of the terrible card handling system. The reason I mentioned the last part is because I came in with my card ready to be shipped in accordance with PSA’s packaging standards just to be told by the unsure employee that “I don’t think it can be sent out like that”. I even showed him what PSA has on their website for guidance on how to ship out cards to them and even still, it’s like he listens to what I say through one ear and goes out through the other. GameStop of Tower Shops do better in giving your customers the confidence that we place our business in the right hands of reliable, knowledgeable and experienced employees. I included an image of how my card originally came in to the store and earned the disapproval of the employee ♂️

I give them all the credit for working as quick as they are able to and maintaining a good attitude with the stress.

Experiencia negativa: I had a pick up order for 2 items and decided I only needed one of the two items, the transaction was a nightmare, they said they couldn’t cancel it and that I needed to do it myself but when I tried it literally said “contact the store”. I showed them the screen and then they said they would void the entire pick up order on their end and they charged me a second time for just the one item. I still haven’t gotten my money back from the “voided” transaction and it’s been over a week. Not sure if the staff is incompetent or if they successfully scammed me out of $100. Additionally, novody answers the phone. I’m not going to drive all the way over there and waste my time for trying to find something that may or may not be in stock. They’ve lost so many potential sales from me personally because nobody answers the phone! I’ve taken my business to target and Best Buy instead.
Experiencia positiva: The staff is nice and their store is always clean. I end up enjoying my conversations with the employees and I'm always in and out when it comes to purchases. I just wish they would pick up the damn phone. I have wasted my time coming inside when I could have just asked over the phone. And they won't even be busy. I don't now what the deal is. My girl called them while I was in the store and they literally declined the call while I was standing there. I don't want to waste my time coming in if I can get an answer over the phone. That's what they're for.

I got gome and have an email with my next automatic renewal date unless I call to cancel. I do not appreciate being lied to or taken advantage of. I recommend going to Best Buy next door instead.

Experiencia negativa: Horrendous customer service! Tried calling today February 27th, 2024 at 12:01pm to ask about a particular item in stock. No answer. Tried a few minutes later. Same. I was near the store so decided to just walk in but I rang it one more time as I walked in, phone in hand, heard the store phone ring, WATCHED the employee look at the phone and decline to pick up, so I walked up and showed him my phone in hand, and said you don't pick up the phone here huh? He put 2 and 2 together and lamely said "we're busy right now." Uh huh. He had 1 customer at the counter. I've been in GameStops before where the cashier at least will answer and put you on hold. This kid simply doesn't care about his job or this store. Managers should be in place more. There used to be great employees here, but they were moved to other stores. Shame.

The first used PS5 controller he got from this location had joystick issues so he went the following day to have it changed for another . The second used ps5 controller also had issues. Once we realized this we'd decided to give up on the idea entirely. Tonight he tells me they wouldn't issue his money back after selling him two faulty products. This store is scam . I wouldn't recommend it to anyone

All I want to do is play balders gate 3 with my daughter Later today i tried returning the second broken controller sold to me so i could get my money back and the store employee told me they could only do store credit. THEY ARE SELLING Playstation controllers that are not tested. I Hate this store . worst experience of my Life. I would never go here again. Please go to the store in sunrise or on broward boulevard. I ended up having to buy a new controller. take my advice and have a good day.

I waited over an hour for a manager that was allegedly 20 minutes away. Eventually I had enough and left. Employee was not apologetic or concerned in any way. He really didn’t seem to care.

Experiencia negativa: Went on a Sunday store opens at 11am left at 1215pm because they never opened. I was out there with other customers who tired o waiting themselves. To top it off when I went back the following weekend they were basically calling me a liar they also didn't have my game which I reserved. Basically told me they only hold it for 24-48hrs. I explained to them the store was closed Sunday I was called a liar again.
