Negative experience: For some Fn reason this specific store keeps messing up my preorders, I was supposed to pick up my pre order last Friday, i was told by GS employee that the my preorder didn’t arrive, came back following week, and i was told same thing, that my preorder did not arrive, I was also told that they did receive one physical copy of the preorder, but the employee took it. So as always customer service in that location really bad, even unprofessional, They do lie at times, to a customer just to save their behind.

Negative experience: I bought a PS Portal and a controller online, and the site said they could be picked up the same day. I waited until 8:30 PM but never received any notification, so I rushed to the store to ask what happened and to trade in some games. However, the cashier not only refused to process my pickup, but also said they couldn’t do any trade-ins because it was too late. Plz modify your working hours and don’t do same-day pick up if you can’t.

Negative experience: Rude cashier's. 2nd time this had happened to me at this location. I asked to do 2 separate transactions and for some reason they don't like that. After ringing up my items I asked for a bag to carry my items. Cashier rudely said they don't have bags. Really? You are a retail store and don't carry bags to offer your customers. Won't be coming back here.

Fantastic experience: Bodie is awesome! I’ve been to this store a few times to ask questions and learn about a few things, and he’s always been patient and very understanding. While I was browsing today, I overheard a rude customer yelling at Bodie — and even though it was clear the customer was trying to pick a fight, Bodie handled the situation calmly and professionally. I was also looking for a few items for my son, and he went out of his way to help me find exactly what we needed. Fantastic customer service — I will not go to any other store since finding this location, thank you, Bodie!

Negative experience: The employee an hour before opening said the items would be distributed one per person. Then right when the store is about to open he comes out and says the terms have changed and each person can get one type of each item. So everyone after the 45th person in line went from getting one thing to nothing. Worse part is they felt the best time to tell the line this information was an hour after waiting.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Waited in line 1 1/2 hours for the new pokemon drop. Manager came out and said we were good for items. Then last minute, changed his answer. Definitely kept items in the back for people because I heard him saying “I got an etb for you in the back”.

Negative experience: I recently went to this store looking to buy the 151 Alakazam box. I first asked a young employee with an afro and glasses if they had any in stock, and he told me they were all sold out. Later, however, I checked online and saw it listed as having 16 in stock, so I called the store. They confirmed over the phone that they had plenty available. The next day, I went back in person and asked again, only to be told there were none left, even though the website still showed 13 in stock. I spoke with someone who I believe was the manager, and he insisted the online inventory was incorrect. Strangely enough, by the end of the day, the website showed 9 in stock, as if sales were still happening. This isn’t the first concerning experience I’ve had at this store. On a previous visit, I witnessed the same sketchy employee abandon the short-staffed manager to go attend a card show. Situations like this are frustrating and reflect poorly on the hobby as a whole. Transparency, honest communication, and responsible staffing are all essential for maintaining trust with customers and unfortunately, this store fell short on all counts.

Fantastic experience: Been to this gamestop since a decade ago, but Ross the manager has been very helpful and accommodating in any questions that I had. Ive been to many of the pokemon drops recently and it seems he always wants to try to get someone in the line, even if it was around 100 people to get SOMETHING. I appreciate the honesty and work he puts in and appreciate all the hard work he does for his store.

Negative experience: Only preorder got everything they wanted. Even if you are in line for 12 hr. Nothing is promised. Maybe if they didn't take all the preordering people first and had more help they could get through 80+ people faster. They are trying to make everyone happy but maybe that's not the best thing. If you try to make everyone happy none will be happy.

Negative experience: We came here more than 5 times and they always out of packs for PSA grading. When we called them today, they say they are finally available to take cards to grade. We came and they said the system broke!! We called twice already to confirm and the last call is literally 15 min ago before we arrive at the store. The store person said manager Ross is not there and not answer the phone. Other stores have told us this store has been lying about unable to send PSA cards for grading. If you come for PSA, don’t come to this store. Worst store EVER!

Negative experience: 01/21/2025: The person that helped me was Ross. Trying to sell the $2.99 warranty and repeatedly trying to “convinced” it me during my check out process. Like SIR, take NO for an answer. If your games are defective and not tested properly then maybe improved your product liability process and make right with your customers. That is what good customer service is. If it wasn’t for the used version of the last of us and horizon zero dawn, I wouldn’t drive all the way to this location. LOL. $15 each game compared to $30 and $20 per game respectively.

Positive experience: This GameStop location is packed with a variety of interesting and desireable products, and especially seems to carry a lot of TCG products including Pokemon, Magic, and other product lines like Lorcana. Employees have generally been welcoming and helpful, but some push pretty hard on selling the premium (annual) membership, which I eventually did sign up for since the benefits did seem compelling and useful, despite the subscription fee (which you can opt out of if you decide to). A nice focused game store to find products, in addition to larger more general stores which can be hit or miss with stock availability. GameStop might not always have inventory either but it's another source for finding what you need. This location is particular convenient to visit with it being within Westgate shopping center and within just a few steps from the main shopping mall.

Negative experience: This store so ahh . Balding dude with greasy hair that disgusted me I tried buying a used 3ds and I wanted to see the 2 options to see the condition and when the lady asked the greasy dude, he just said no. Not to mention how slow the entire process was, got there at 6:10 expecting a quick checkout but left the store around 35 minutes later because of how slow the 2 were. I didn’t know that a purchase over 250 basically gives you GameStop pro and I asked why they charged me because I didn’t know it was free and the lady just asked me to wait while she wasn’t doing anything and then the guy said “she said wait a minute “ when nobody was talking to him lol. I just wanted to get outta there but it’s the only store near that had what I wanted in stock but apart from that never go here

Negative experience: I placed a preorder for several items for pickup at this location and shortly after, the entire order was cancelled due to GameStop claiming “part of your order couldn’t be fulfilled.” I know this is BS as I had several friends place their preorders shortly after mine and theirs did not get cancelled. I then placed a preorder for the same item again, and when I woke up it was cancelled because this GameStop claimed my “payment method was declined.” Again, this is BS as I’ve placed several preorders in the past (both online and for in person pick up) and I’ve never had my card declined at GameStop. I’ve read online, and many GameStop employees at other locations have confirmed, that GameStop employees will cancel a customer’s preorder when they want to backdoor the item or purchase it for themselves. For the Black Friday promotion, this deal was only available for in person pick up and was of course sold out at all GameStops within a 100 mile radius when I woke up in the morning. As this was a Black Friday deal for a very popular item, this is certainly the case here. I’ve been going to this GameStop for over ten years, and it’s very disappointing an employee would do that here. Will certainly never be going back to this location and will tell all my friends to stay away.

Negative experience: I recently made a purchase at this GameStop location and was charged for a warranty I never wanted. When I realized the charge and requested a refund, the manager flat-out refused, despite the fact that the warranty was completely unused. The manager said:”I remember you wanted it.” Which was just a lie! The customer in front of me received a wrong item for their online purchase. When they asked for a return, the manager said :”contact customer service. Return is a nightmare.” DO NOT COME HERE AT ALL COST!!! The manager does not do business with honesty. If you’re shopping here, double-check your receipt to make sure you’re not paying for unwanted add-ons.

Negative experience: I traded something in and the associate was great, however he stated that if I wanted cash he would need to wait for the safe to open in 15 minutes, I said that was fine. A gentlemen who’s mid to late 40’s, balding and had a bad beard interjected the conversation between the associate I was already dealing with and stated “hey man, why don’t you take the Venmo, it’s the same as cash” I said “no thanks I asked for cash” he seemed frustrated and upset and said “it’s the same, and you have to wait till the safe is open because if we give you the money in the till we won’t have change”. Then he just walked away. I asked the associate who that was and he said “oh that’s Ross the store manager”. Ross eventually walked by again and demanded not asked, an employee to go do the deposit. The associate was fine the store manager was terrible, I remember a while back I purchased a game for someone and he asked “why are you getting a girls game”. If you are a district manager reading this, you made the biggest mistake when you let the previous manager Scott leave, that dude was a class act, Russ is ️, 100 percent this dude will drive this store into the ground and you will have high turnover and poor metrics. Will not be returning.

Negative experience: 08:00PM June 27th 2024. Rude and non engaging worker. I don’t know why anyone in their right mind would go to such store. By the way, not just me, multiple people were in the store and the employee didn’t engage at all. Toxic vibe the whole store and so gloomy. It’s not even the right prices. You’re better off buying online from GameStop. $10-$15 difference of the price. And you won’t have to deal with rude employees that don’t even like to work, and even talk while chewing imagine. Items are not organized even. And the pricing is way off than the website.

Negative experience: This place has the slowest service ever. Took 15 minutes for the guy to help me. There was a guy that came in to sell his PS4. He was asked to wait 40 minutes because the other guy went on lunch and was the only person who can help him. A girl was also upset because they sold her preorder game. They didn't call her to see if she wanted to buy it. She also had a deposit too.

Negative experience: Usually I have good experience with Gamestop. Tonight Scott was a total douch to my son and I . He refused to let us open a costume i purchased online and picked up tonight so I can hold it up to see if it even fit my son. My son is 10 and was pretty sad he couldn't get his costume. Fantastic experience: I would recommend this Gamestop over any other Gamestop for one reason. Excellent customer service! The store is small and they don't get a lot of merchandise and products in stock but that is not their fault. Despite Gamestop Corporate's awful sales pitch they make every employee do, the employees at this Gamestop over come it and put on a happy face. The current store manager Scott is the best part about this store. He is very strict with the policies but he is a very honest and respectful person. Have a chat with him from time to time and you will see he knows his stuff when it comes to video games. He gives great advice and recommendations too. He still gives the sales pitch but he's not pushy when he does it. I've always loved this Gamestop and I hope they never close. They might even still be open as an independent brick and mortar store if Gamestop ever goes under.

Positive experience: Traded in old games I've been meaning to trades in for a while. They didn't take 3 games they sold me used a few years ago because of their age so a little frustrated with them even if they had offered me a few dollars each to reward my loyalty it would have earned them a another star. Very little merchandise in this store so unless you are heading for specific items you know they have its hardly worth a visit as very few bargains.
