Negative experience: Employees were awesome! Shoutout for Zach! But you guy need to FIX the AC IMMEDIATELY! Jesus! It was 95* outside and the AC was broken!!! They even had to open the door since the store was so damn hot!!!

Fantastic experience: I'm not a big gamer - but Zachary who works here made my day. His attitude and excitement for his job was amazing. I had called to ask if they had a cable in stock and I showed up 3 hrs later to grab it - and he had kept it behind the desk for me, even though I hadn't asked him to. He had SO much excitement and gaming tips for the younger kids checking out in front of me, I could tell he loves his job and the customer base. Well done Zachary, I wish more people in the sales world had your attitude and enthusiasm!

Negative experience: Went in tonight to ask about trading my Switch in but the horrible atmosphere made me immediately consider just selling it myself on offer up. Associate didn't greet anyone as they entered. Plenty of customers in store but the dude was zoned out behind the counter. Zero engagement, not even a nametag. Just a guy in his 20's in a hoodie unaware of how lucky he is to work in a game store. Have fun turning off more potential customers guys.

Negative experience: The manager had a very pushy vibe and didn’t really care about what you want. He pushed very hard to oversell.

Noah Smith Posted on Google 1 year ago

Negative experience: Cancelled my preorders stating a limit that didn't exist when I made the order. I assume they cancelled it to sell to employees like the videos I've seen.

Fantastic experience: I dropped by my local Game Stop this week and this store now stocks a couple of new items I enjoy collecting that weren't previously stocked at this location. Cool! So, I recommend to check in at your local brick and mortar store location because their store merchandise and the brands regularly stocked will and do change. I know ordering online is very practical and convenient, but nothing beats the joy of finding something you really want and being able to immediately have it in your hands. Online scalpers and auctions are not the last and only option left available for us to obtain those elusive or hard to find collectibles. Physically dropping in at the store does pay off. w00t!

Negative experience: Store was messy when entering, no greeting from staff.

Fantastic experience: This gamestop, like all others is great for game lovers, cloths games of all ki da and plenty of collectibles. However where this gamestop stands out is with the manager, he frequently is behind the desk and is one of the best employees I have ever interacted with at any business. Just super fun and helpful.

Negative experience: My son wanted to sell his XBOX 360 with a Kinect camera. No problem. The shop employee apparently was new to the job, had to call his boss 10 times. No, we don’t buy the Kinect camera. After 30 minutes of boss calling and re-entering and scanning all information, ‘we give $37 for the device’. My son accepted the bid. Again entering our info scanning the identification, he is paying the cash: $26.37. The employee never asked do you want cash or in-store credit? We just accepted the in-store credit but felt misinformed. For the in-store credit the whole transaction had to be re-entered. Later we went to GameOver, as suggested, the sales person first asked: * cash or in-store credit. That wad a Way better experience.

Negative experience: GameStop - Crossroads Mall Bellevue: Buyer Beware - Manager Matt's Shady Sales Tactics (Multiple Locations) Avoid this GameStop location at Crossroads Mall Bellevue, and frankly, any GameStop managed by Matt! His sales tactics are more used car salesman than friendly game guide, leaving me feeling frustrated and misled. This isn't an isolated incident - I've had Matt use these same shady tactics at other stores he manages, including the Landing Location and the Totem Lake locations. Buyer beware! Here's why I won't be going back to any GameStop with Matt at the helm: Price Hike Hysteria: Matt relentlessly pushes the narrative that game prices are about to skyrocket, never to be seen again. This felt like a scare tactic to pressure me into unnecessary warranties. Physical Media Phony: Matt blatantly lied, claiming GameStop was phasing out physical games entirely. Talk about out of touch! Paper Mario Panic Attack: Matt tried scare me into pre-ordering by saying "Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door" would be gone forever after launch. Don't fall for this fear-mongering! Pro Rewards? More Like Pro Ignored: I had Pro Rewards credit waiting to be used, but Matt didn't even offer to apply it. Isn't that the whole point of the program? Salty About Saying No? When I politely declined the warranty, Matt hit me with some condescending comments. Not cool, dude. Lying About Stock & Zero Effort: To top it all off, Matt lied about having certain items in stock and couldn't be bothered to even check, and when pointed out those items were in stock on the shelf, sheepishly claimed there were inventory system issues when he never bothered to look in the first place. This experience felt like a bait-and-switch scheme, not a video game store visit. Manager Matt's tactics are deceptive and unprofessional. Take your business elsewhere - online or to a different store. Hopefully, this review helps warn other gamers about Matt's shady practices at multiple GameStop locations!

Negative experience: Went to go pick up my preorder that they didn't give me any information on. Waited in line to pick up zelda for 45 minutes only to be told to sit in epithet line for even longer. Then to be sent in a separate line to pick up the game finally. Terrible miss communication, will never preorder with this bad experience.

Fantastic experience: Great experience shopping here today. They tell us the current promotion. They welcome us as we enter the door.

Peter Tang Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: Give up hope on coming here for any Pokemon codes - they'll just run out sometime on day 1, and never resupply. I've never had another Gamestop that did this.

Fantastic experience: I have a gift card for game stop. I am not sure what to do... So many options! Thanks for the nice store experience, the staff that morning was very helpful and conversant in gaming recreation. Awesome

J A Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Bryce is the rudest person. We all hate our job bro, at least try. Every question I asked he'd just ask it back like I was stupid, or give the most monotone, quiet, low level answer that I'd have to repeatedly clarify until I could understand, then he'd say "yea that's what I said" like I was stupid. Been a shopper for 10 years, will definitely skip this store anytime he's working.

LimeFox Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Got my PS5 from here. Bryce is incredibly helpful and patient. Everyone else is so nice and fun to talk with.

Kevin Richards Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: The staff is really cool and knowledgeable when it comes to games. They always have great deals going on and have decent prices on older consoles. Their used games can be pretty expensive though, sometimes it's cheaper to head to Walmart in Factoria and buy new games than to buy used here

Zick Z Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Not too many choices of available games there, but the staff are really nice. Helped me and my friends several times to save the most on the purchases.

Cole Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: The clerk was great, and even though I was only there for around ten minutes I really enjoyed his company and we talked about halo going bad and how assassins creed is releasing better and better games every year. A very great experience and I feel like that clerk deserves a raise.

Marc Bannos Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if possible and this will be long. I will say that the clerk was great though and this review is not reflective upon her. I placed a pickup order in the morning at this location for an item they had in stock. My card was charged, approved, and I received a confirmation number from Gamestop to my email. I arrived at 12 and gave the clerk my information but was told my information wasn't in their system. We confirmed that I was in the right location and she called another location to ensure there wasn't a mix-up. There wasn't. We called Gamestop customer service but was informed by a rep that 'the systems were down' and would be for the next couple hours. I could not even cancel the order nor could Gamestop due to their systems failing. Despite the fact that Gamestop's systems were down, they still were able to accept my pre-payment. The clerk, however, couldn't just give me my item because Gamestop's systems couldn't reflect my order (despite my conf number and charges showing on my credit card). There was also no manager available (either hiding or off) that could make a judgement call) so I ended up having to pay twice and will now just have to cancel the online order. What should have been a quick stop turned into a 30 minute waste of time. Gamestop's policies are archaic, their people have no control and the 800 service reps are a complete waste of time. I will avoid doing business with Gamestop in the future and stick with Best Buy if I don't feel like waiting on shipping.

Jake McCauley Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: "Yea we got a copy of that game in" I show up and get offered a download code... I can buy it online from somewhere else at that point. What a joke.

Ronnie Jovan Sullivan Posted on Google 5 years ago

Negative experience: Horrible selection and prices way to high for the old games in house and horrible service. They act like your supposed to know what you want for your kid or as if everyone games in they’re lol universe or game bubble they live in!!!

Positive experience: This GameStop was o.k. I was happy to do a trade-in here for an old console and got store credit. I got more in store credit than anyone else was offering online. I thought the process was reasonable, safe, and positive overall. I'm happy someone will get to play games rather than the console just collecting dust while we've moved on to the newest consoles. The negative thing about this GameStop was how the staff treated some customers who came in asking about the latest consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series S/X). The customers just asked if they had any consoles and the staff wasn't too nice about it. They were just laughing about how they haven't had any in stock since Black Friday. I really don't think this is the way to say it to people who are considering buying a console. It should have been more considerate and gracious, maybe offering some kind of wait-list and empathizing with how hard it is to find during these times. I also know you should follow the twitter accounts and send updates to your phone for in-stock announcements, and they didn't even mention that to them as a possibility... Even for GameStop's twitter account themselves!

Fantastic experience: Little kid and his dad walk into the store. Kid nervously hands the employee a used game. Claims that the used game he got came with x-rated material instead. Employee opens the game. Yep, that's naughty stuff alright. Little kid: "I um... I got this game this summer and didn't...um...didn't open it til today..." Right. Because we all know that the one things kids do with video games is not open them for 6 months. No receipt. No record of purchase. Manager wasn't having it. Love this place.

Christian Frey Posted on Google 6 years ago

Positive experience: Really nice location. It's a small store, so cool stuff sells out pretty fast on sale days. The people that work here are gamers which also rocks. The only bad thing is how lighter my wallet is after visiting :D

Negative experience: Went in to trade my nintendo switch this morning for the newer model with better battery life. Currently gamestop is doing a promotion which is supposed to run up the return value to $225, however when I went into the store they only gave me $200 store credit simply because the new model was "hot in demand and low on the shelves". I dislike that treatment.

Fantastic experience: I had a very pleasant experience. I picked up Kingdom Hearts 3 and even though I didn't pre-order it they still gave me the promotional pre-order item.

Chad Stanovich Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: Place smelled like a locker room like someone straight sharded. Don't know if it was an employee or customer but couldn't get out quick enough. Not very helpful when it came.to transferring a pre-order. Basically told me I could have my money back and lose it and maybe get a copy on another date that he couldn't say. Wouldn't check into another store that was close to help solve the issue.

Fantastic experience: Really helpful staff

Tsukkuyomi Kokuryuu Posted on Google 7 years ago

Fantastic experience: I love coming to this store! The staff know me well and they always are friendly and happy to talk about games. I know I can trust them to give me their honest opinions when I ask if a game is good and whether early in the day or late at night (I work late in Kirkland so I often on release dates come at like 8-8:30ish) the staff is always very nice. I'd recommend this place to any gamer or anyone who wants to get into gaming since it has never failed to give me a great customer service experience, which is why its set as my home store (despite Redmond and Alderwood actually being closer; I'm willing to make the extra trek to come here since it feels more like a store I wanna visit often).

R C Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: Worst experience I’ve had at a game stop I’ve been coming to this game stop for years now even though it’s farther than the one I live by as before customer service has been pretty good. My past couple experiences and especially today’s will make me NEVER go back to that store again. This is my second or third time now having an issue with their store leader TAYLOR. Taylor seemed to always have attitude or be in a bad mood but the last couple times I looked past that but today was different. They told me over the phone that they would honor a certain price / promotion. I called before making the drive to make sure because it’s about 30 minutes out of my way. Once i get there Taylor the manager said they would not honor it. I asked the rep next to him who answered the phone a little heavier white man why he told me that and he said he didn’t. Then he finally admits it. Taylor then would not honor their misquote after going out of my way to drive to that location and said he could then discount a game for me but his discount was no where near the promotion. His discount was $5... I asked to speak to a manager and he wouldn’t let me speak to anyone higher than him. I asked for a name phone number or email and he would not give me anything at all just kept telling me to call customer service which I am currently on the phone with and I’ve been on hold for 93 minutes so far. As I’m talking to him he decides to ignore me and tell me that he can’t do anything for me at al after their mistake even tho I have now wasted time and gas by driving here and back. As I’m trying to continue the conversation with me he asks me to move aside so he can help another guest buy a game when I’m trying to make a consol purchase. I said I’m trying to buy something as well but you’re not helping me in any way. He ignores me and proceeds to help the next guest. I will NEVER go to this game stop again and I’ll make sure none of my friends or family will be giving you any more business. I’m going to continue sharing this situation on as many plat forms / social media as possible to make sure that no one else goes through the horrible experience I’ve had to go through until management is changed or might just discontinue using GameStop services completely. If 0 stars were possible I’d give that or even less. Save yourself the hassle and frustration and please go to a different location before Taylor ruins your day as well. I’ve been trying to contact a higher up but he was no help if someone could please contact me that would be appreciated

Craig Stevens Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: The WORST customer service after Taylor (store leader) and his rep misquoted a cyber Monday promotion on the Switch and wouldn’t honor. Wouldn’t help or give us info on how to get the promotion other than ordering online even though the rep next to him admitted that he quoted the promotion. DON’T GO HERE!! They’re terrible, it’s a mess and they’re extremely rude and unprofessional!

Tyler VanBeeK Posted on Google 7 years ago

Negative experience: Went to the store yesterday and attempted to talk to the cashier. Asked about a product that they did not have in stock, which is fine, it was the inability of the cashier to converse with me about if any other stores in the area had it that really got me. Thankfully, the employee unboxing product behind him was the only saving grace for this experience as he informed me of another store that might have the item in. The fact that an employee was unwilling to converse with a customer so as to make a sale for the company is a sad sign of how far this gamestop has fallen.

Positive experience: Helpful and knowledgeable staff

Ryan c Posted on Google 8 years ago

Positive experience: This place is addicting and dangerous. Would be better if the price disparity between buying and selling used things wasn't as far apart.
