Fantastic experience: Staff was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable! The store was super well organized and clean. Big thanks to Emma for going above and beyond with helping me find a specific compatible controller and the friendly conversation! The art display in the back is also very cute and I love that the store is commissioning real local artists. Even if you aren't in the market for anything in particular, the store has a great entourage of video game history. As the associate Emma mentioned, since this location is surrounded by Nintendo/Microsoft HQ, there's a massive selection of old school gear available. Great for shopping or taking a look around!

Negative experience: I went into this store fully planning on spending a few hundred dollars because this is the one of the only places that carries the Evercade. I wanted to offload some games from my collection. Mainly duplicates. The guy working there emerged from the back room after I’d been standing there for a couple of minutes, he then proceeded to “look” through my games, and after about one minute he tried to pull some sort of Pawn Stars routine. I’ve really never been this insulted in a store because he said that the best he could do was $25 for the whole lot. I could tell that he hadn’t even looked at the games because he seemed shocked when I pulled out copies of Mario 64, Ocarina of Time, Punch-out, anyone who knows games knows that these would sell that day for upwards of $50 each. I said that I’ll buy my Evercade from Amazon and sell my things on eBay. He should “I should do that”. Hopefully this store realizes that you shouldn’t insult the people who support the retro game niche.

Thanks SO MUCH for reaching out about this! We pride ourselves on our excellent stores, staff, and service, and we're so sorry that we seemed to not show that on this particular visit. After speaking with the local manager, it sounds like there were definitely some communication issues between you and the employee working that day, and we apologize for the miscommunication. We'll make sure to work hard to retrain our team and make sure this doesn't happen again. We obviously want you to buy and sell with us and not other stores or online competitors. Please accept our sincere apology, and we hope that you will give us another chance to impress you at some point in the future. Thanks for understanding!

Positive experience: Okay so let me start by saying this review is way overdue, as i came here back in December. This store has by far the WORST selection of games i’ve ever seen in a game store, i was shocked and disappointed. Genuinely nothing but slop, and anything even slightly decent was overpriced. Obviously that can be kind of subjective, but my partner and i were really not impressed. What i think was most insulting was how expensive the DAMAGED consoles and DAMAGED game accessories were… absolutely ridiculous. The staff were nice though! Sorry your game selection sucks, clearly no one is trading or selling anything to y’all that is worthwhile.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out to us, and glad to hear how much you like our staff at this location! Sorry we didn't have any of the games you were looking for, but remember that inventory varies daily & by location. Unfortunately, our stores are HEAVILY shopped by collectors, which makes it very hard to keep the great, rare, hard to find stuff in stock. We DO get those gems, they just tend to sell FAST here, often the same day...so it just takes a bit of persistence and a bit of luck to find the great ones. Please don't give up on us!! Just keep circling back regularly, and we promise one of these days, you'll hit the jackpot here!

As for pricing, we do monitor and adjust prices regularly to stay competitive, but the reality is that most customers don't pay full retail price on our stuff anyway....we offer numerous ways to save including trading in your old stuff for credit, weekly sales, monthly trade in bumps, and the best rewards program of any game store! It's totally free to join, and basically gives you $1 back for every $10 spent, so you essentially get 10% back on everything you purchase!!

We'd certainly love to have you check back with us from time to time, and hopefully you will find something amazing on your next visit! Thanks for your business & support!

Fantastic experience: Outstanding small store jam-packed with games and gaming accessories, including lifestyle accessories like posters, keychains, gifts: even doormats. (Nook's Cranny doormats! And others!) The focus is on older and even retro games. If you have a gamer in your life and are in Bellevue, stop here *for sure*: and then grab a treat at the Crossroads food court or Dick's.

Fantastic experience: This is probably one of the best places to go to when you want a game for an old console. The staff is really nice and they have a collection of games to choose from. There's not only games, but also some controls/accessories for the consoles, and helped me get some games for the wii and xbox 360. I highly recommend this. Just so you know, if you decide to sell here, there is a chance that you might get a lower price than expected. I recommend bringing games one at a time slowly, because I noticed that big chunks of games usually get about 20

Thanks for visiting our store, and sorry you haven't found the games you're looking for lately at our Bellevue location. Retro games are our specialty, however, as such, that stuff definitely sells FAST at our stores as people come from all over the Seattle area to shop with us! We do get amazing trade ins on retro stuff, but sometimes they just go so fast, many people never see them sitting on the shelf for long. Please don't lose hope, just call or visit our store regularly, and you will see those rare/cool items pop up eventually!

We're constantly checking and updating our prices, plus, we have weekly sales, great store credit trade in values, and an amazing and free rewards program (that basically gives you 10% back on EVERY purchase!), so when all that is figured in, pricing is pretty fantastic overall! :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to add this review, and we really hope you continue to shop with us and keep the faith that regular visits WILL pay off eventually with you picking up some great games from us! Thanks for your business & support!!

Negative experience: Follow-Up Review — Continued Gaslighting, No Accountability Looks like “Dave” is the CEO of Game Over. So I got a response from the head honcho gaslighting. This is a follow-up to my original review (please see my first post and screenshots for full context), because the way this store has continued to treat me is completely unprofessional. I came in for a trade. I accepted the $20 offer—no reseller’s remorse whatsoever. I’ve said that from the beginning. I followed up because the experience didn’t feel right, and I wanted to understand how their trade process actually works—because it didn’t match what they promote. Instead of a conversation or any accountability, I’ve been consistently insulted and gaslit. The employee I dealt with gave a flat $20 offer with no item evaluation, no explanation, and no breakdown. He didn’t inspect anything, didn’t look anything up, and didn’t explain how that number was reached. And here’s the important part: he never once mentioned anything about “lot pricing”—until I brought it up. Only then did he shift the explanation to say they “buy in lots,” but that clearly wasn’t part of the initial discussion. That inconsistency alone says a lot. Since then, a staff member named Dave responded to my email and doubled down on this false narrative of “reseller’s remorse.” Not once did he acknowledge my actual concern or take ownership of the experience I had. No manager reached out, no attempt was made to have a real conversation. Just repeated gaslighting and deflection. Again—I wasn’t upset about the money. I knew what I was walking away with. What I’m frustrated by is the lack of transparency, professionalism, and respect. This was a missed opportunity to handle things with integrity, but instead, they chose to act defensive and dismissive. As a lifelong gamer and someone with experience in the industry, I can confidently say: this is not a game store—it’s a pawn shop with retro branding, more focused on being “right” than being customer-centered. I hope this review helps others understand exactly what to expect—and encourages the store to seriously reflect on how they treat the people keeping them in business.

Thanks for posting all this info, pics, notes, emails, etc so everyone can see our full transparency and professionalism here, and the full context of this situation. Games have specific values and require a bit more research, but random wires, accessories, chargers, etc are easily and quickly estimated by our trained staff based on average accessory resale values, which are typically quite low. Again, we apologize for any implication that you had any remorse or second thoughts over your choice to accept our offer at the time, and we're sorry that now you clearly feel differently. Sorry things didn't work out here on this specific transaction, but we wish you all the best and we hope that you have a blessed day as well!

Negative experience: I don’t like to speak negatively about any business, but I do think it’s important to share this experience so others can be mindful before trading in their items. To be clear, I accepted the trade, and I’m not experiencing any buyer’s or trader’s remorse. But there were a few things I wish I had known ahead of time. When I arrived, I was told that Game Over only purchases items in lots, not individually. That wasn’t mentioned in the email communications beforehand (see attached), and it would’ve been helpful to know. It directly affected how my items were valued. What I brought in could easily fetch $100+ in the resale market. I received $20 in cash. I did ask what store credit would have been, and was told “maybe $30”. I opted for cash since I don’t plan on returning, but either way, the amount didn’t feel like a fair reflection of the value—even accounting for depreciation. To be honest, the interaction at the counter felt a little uncertain, as if the person assisting me wasn’t entirely sure how to assess what I brought. I say that respectfully, but it added to the feeling that this wasn’t a well-considered offer. That said, these items had been sitting in my trunk since April, so I wasn’t relying on the trade—it was more about clearing space and hoping someone else could get use out of them. If you’re planning to trade items in, I recommend doing your research, asking questions, and being confident enough to walk away if the offer doesn’t feel right. You’re not obligated to accept something that doesn’t sit well with you. This is specific feedback for Game Over (not GameStop). It’s a cool store with a great aesthetic, but based on this experience, it’s not a place I’ll be visiting again for retro gaming trades. Update: Just to clarify again—there’s no trader’s remorse here. I accepted the offer as it was. This isn’t about regret—it’s about making sure others walk in more informed than I did. The biggest issue wasn’t just the low offer—it was the lack of effort, transparency, or value placed on me as a customer. The process felt rushed, unprofessional, and frankly, impersonal. The employee at the counter didn’t inspect any of the items I brought in, didn’t look anything up, didn’t ask follow-up questions, and didn’t try to explain the valuation. It was a quick glance, a shrug, and “I can give you $20.” I’ve since sent the same photos to two other local stores, and both came back with offers between $60–$75—without even having the items in hand. That tells me what I brought in had real value, and that proper evaluation can be done, when there’s effort. For some context—I’ve worked in this space before. I’ve been behind the counter at GameStop and at an independent retro game shop, so I understand how trade-ins work. I’m not walking in blind. I wasn’t expecting top dollar, but I was expecting to be treated like a customer, not like someone just offloading junk. And honestly? Even pawn shops often provide more explanation and effort. The follow-up response from the store missed the mark completely. There was no acknowledgment of the interaction, no ownership of the lack of process, and no appreciation for the fact that I took time out of my day to support your business. Instead, I got a canned response ending with “hope to see you again soon,” after I’d already said I wouldn’t be back. I don’t enjoy leaving reviews like this, but I do believe it’s necessary so others know what to expect. If you’re planning a trade-in, ask questions, shop around, and remember: you don’t have to accept an offer that doesn’t feel right—you and your items have value.

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the trade in process or values...but to summarize, every buyback is evaluated as a whole lot, and values are based on the items you're selling, as well as condition, our overall current need, resale value, current demand, etc, so many factors go into determining a correct value. Yes, you definitely get more in credit than cash...plus you get more by using our online buyback system too - but that requires you pay to ship them all to our main warehouse for processing, so those values will be higher than in our retail stores. Selling in our store or any resale shop for cash results in the lowest overall pricing per item, but we still pride ourselves in paying at or above the competition of other game stores, pawn shops, or resale shops like Half Price Books, etc. The thing we do offer is a great store and staff experience and a safe and easy way to turn ANY old video games, consoles, accessories, or collectibles into easy cash! Thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you again soon!!!

Negative experience: After many positive experiences at this store, I’m disappointed to say that today’s visit was an exception, entirely due to one employee. In the past, I’ve brought in untested consoles I’ve purchased from thrift stores to see if they work. This has always been a great opportunity to buy any missing cables, extra accessories, or games while I’m there. Today, however, I was met with an unexpectedly condescending attitude from a very tall man working the counter. When I asked if I could quickly test a console, he dismissed the idea outright, saying it was against store policy. When I asked for clarification, he explained that it would require opening products, that they don’t do “favors,” and that accommodating me would involve breaking policy. Rather than using the moment to offer alternatives or upsell accessories, he seemed more interested in ending the conversation so he could return to what sounded like a personal phone call. He delivered all of this in a way that made me feel as though I was being dishonest about my past experiences at the store. The interaction felt unnecessarily hostile and left me uncomfortable enough to leave rather than continue browsing. I still recommend the store overall and have received great service from other staff members in the past. However, if you walk in and see a tall (approximately 6'7") man with glasses behind the counter, I would suggest coming back at another time.

Hi Jake, Thanks so much for reaching out to us, and sorry to hear about your disappointment in your recent visit. As a business and as a matter of policy, we don't typically test, clean, troubleshoot systems unless we're billing you for the time/service...but our staff is always happy to help answer questions and they will often go above and beyond and even make occasional exceptions to that policy from time to time within reason. In this particular case, it seems you brought in several untested, incomplete systems and wanted us to test/clean/troubleshoot them all for free, and all consoles were missing cables/controllers (which would in addition have required us to open new packages to fully test them), and therefore, we simply couldn't make an exception at that time. We certainly understand your frustration, and we apologize for the inconvenience. In the future if you're willing to pay for the time/service, we're happy to test/troubleshoot anything you bring in. If not, then we highly recommend that you test and clean everything at your place before coming in, and then you'll know what specific cables/controllers/etc you need when you come into our store. We'll then be able to help find what you need quickly and easily to get your consoles up and running! Thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you again soon!

Negative experience: Prices are a joke, you’d be better off making the drive to stores like Pink Gorilla or Another Castle. Even the nearby GameStop has games priced lower. The museum aspect is really cool, but otherwise, this feels like one of those stores that preys upon nostalgic folks who aren’t familiar with actual market values.

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

Thanks for reaching out to us! We really appreciate the kind words on the museum and setup of our store :) As for pricing, we always try our best to be competitive and our prices for sales and buybacks are usually very much in line with all competitors, including those mentioned. Sometimes we are cheaper, sometimes they are cheaper, but we're never far off and usually are right on with current market pricing. Retro games, like everything else, has gone up quite a bit in the past few years, but we do our best to stay competitive PLUS we have weekly sales, great buyback store credit values, and a FREE and amazing rewards program that basically gives customers 10% back on everything they buy! So, always good to shop around, but never a good idea to skip our store during your search, since often our amazing staff, prices, sales, selection, and rewards program make US the BEST option in the area! Thanks again for coming by, and we hope to see you again soon!

Negative experience: In case anyone else is planning to go during the afternoon, I got to the store at 3:35 and a sign on the door read that they were closed for lunch until 4 so I guess don’t come at this time. Not sure if their lunch is an hour or only thirty minutes. I’ve come here multiple times and never seen this happen. Wish their lunch hours were on their website or Google because I had to drive forty minutes to get here. What an absolute waste of a trip.

Thanks so much for bringing this to our attention!! We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience, but we can assure you that our stores typically are NEVER closed for lunch or anything else anytime during business hours 11-8. On this particular day, we had an emergency situation with a member of our team, which led to us having only one employee that entire 9hr day...who then had to close for a brief lunch from 3-4p. Again, we're really sorry for the trouble, and we can assure you that this situation will not happen again. Thanks for understanding, and we hope you give us another chance by coming back to our store soon!

Negative experience: I lugged 3 boxes of retrogaming consoles and games to sell. They said they would need to inspect everything, but I guess that also meant opening a brand new Nintendo Switch and Nintendo DS consoles. They did not ask me permission to open them, and they didn't even buy them!!! Now they've lost a ton of resale value, because they were opened for no reason at all. Their games and consoles are overpriced, and they're only interested in Gameboys anyway, so idk why they just didn't tell me that when I called them. Update: Their response is a complete and insulting lie. You think I would confuse you with a GameStop!?!?! The employees called you on the phone multiple times to see what you wanted to buy. I brought in three bins of stuff to sell, spent two hours there and they only bought the gameboys. They opened my sealed Nintendo Switch and Mario Maker 2DS boxes.

Positive experience: Store is alright. They don’t seem to price their games differently if they are complete or not and games in generic cases are priced the same as ones with original packaging. In addition pricing is generally pretty steep vs what I’ve observed at other retro game stores. Good news is the employees are very friendly and helpful. Just a lil pricey.

Negative experience: Sister brought in 3 boxes of games, consoles, with hundreds of games from nes, snes, psx, ps2 and up. Some sealed in box. Over 20 consoles. Was offered $300 cash without even going through it. Scammer lady with green hair made the offer with no research. Avoid these guys. Edit: If anything the owner says in their reply is in fact true. None of it was mentioned by aforementioned green haired lady. Instead an attempt to massively lowball a huge collection was offered. I’ll make another edit when another castle is finished sorting and making their offer. What does how much cash is on hand have to do with collection buying? Edit #2: Ended up getting $2,000 from another castle. That makes me furious with this place now. That’s such an insulting difference. Beware here folks. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

thanks so much for checking out our store! We're sorry for the issues with this buyback, but as you may imagine, cash is limited to what is currently on hand at the store on any particular day. In this case, you probably just hit the cash limit for that day. Unfortunately, for security and safety reasons, we are unable to keep large amounts of cash on hand, so with that much stuff, if you prefer cash payment options instead of store credit, you'd be better off to bring it in a small chunk at a time to maximize available cash payout. Or, we also offer store credit which is always an option and would be a MUCH higher amount than cash too! Also, we do have an online buyback system too at www.gameovervideogames.com - (just click SELL at the top and follow instructions) you just have to ship it all to our warehouse, but payout amounts are unlimited there (sent by paypal or check in mail), so for hundreds/thousands of games and thousands of dollar values, that is the best way to go. Thanks for understanding, and we hope to see you again soon!

Thanks so much for checking out our store, and we're sorry you didn't find what you needed on this visit! Please remember to check back often as the more rare or popular a classic game or console is, the faster we sell them, so it definitely pays to call us or check back often. We buy & sell everything from Atari to Xbox, and selection varies daily and by location. Even with over 20K+ items in inventory, it's impossible to have all the great stuff in stock all the time, but hopefully you'll have better luck on your next visit. Thanks for understanding, and we really appreciate your business & support!

Negative experience: While their selection is generally clean and well-organized, this store specifically has an extremely weak selection and low quantities of product. The store is also the most expensive in the region BY FAR, with some prices being marked 300% above market or more. I would highly rather recommend other local retail retrogaming stores over GOV, sadly.

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

Thanks for checking out our store and for the compliments on how it looks and runs! This store currently has over 27,000+ items in stock, which is generally more than most retro/used video game shops, however, we know the most popular, rare, and in demand items in retrogaming are currently very hard to come by and sell FAST when we get them...Plus, the retro game prices have gone up a lot in the past few years too! Please keep our store in mind as new items do get traded in daily, and you can always call ahead if you have only certain items you're looking for to help save a trip if those are currently out of stock. Thanks for your business & support, and we hope to see you again soon!

Fantastic experience: Great place to find a lot of retro games and consoles. They have tournaments and the service is great! I was about to buy a game that only played on European consoles when the salesperson informed me that the game only worked on particular systems, which I didn't have. As a result, I did not lose my money.

Negative experience: Sold some old sealed games after being promised comparable value to what they were worth. Got $150 in store credit. Walk in a few days later and see everything marked up for close to $1000. Prices are either ridiculously high, or their employees are deceitful and take advantage of a person's lack of knowledge. They even tried to persuade me to avoid using the store credit for the one thing I wanted.

Erick Calixto Posted on Google 2 years ago

Negative experience: This is the second time I’ve been here and both times the staff have been very rude and condescending in their tone. The first time I came here I was looking for a cable and the person behind the desk almost laughed at me for not knowing the year of unit I was trying to get a cable for. This time I just asked if they had a game and the person told me in a demeaning tone that “no this is a used game store, go to GameStop”. I know it’s a used game store, but often times used game stores also have new games. Anyway, like they said, go to GameStop instead.

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

Wow. That's definitely NOT what we like to see or hear about our stores & staff, but we really appreciate you taking the time to send this critical feedback. We'll definitely speak to the store manager asap to make sure we try to figure out what went wrong & retrain everyone there on how to properly provide a great customer service experience in our stores. We obviously do specialize in used/retro games, however, we do often get games in soon after release, so it's not unreasonable for you to check with us before heading elsewhere to see if we have any used copies - even of hot/new release games. Plus, there's no excuse for rudeness - period. We should always treat everyone professionally and respectfully at all times, and if that is ever not the case, we WANT to know about it! If you'd like to send more detailed info on this, please reach out via email at [email protected] . We're very sorry for how these prior 2 visits went for you, and we hope that you give us one more chance to impress you down the road, and we look forward to trying to earn your business back in the future!

Thanks so much for checking out our store! Currently this location has 10,000+ used games in stock - which is a TON! - but, we know that even with that much inventory, there are lots of hard to find, rare, and popular items that do sell VERY quickly. We can assure you that we buy and stock new inventory items daily, and our inventory varies by location as well. So, anytime this location in Bellevue is out of stock, you may want to check out our other store in Tacoma, which has another 10k of games in stock ATM...plus, we have a HUGE online inventory 30K as well at www.gameovervideogames.com - and from there you can request any order be sent to the local store for free instore pickup to avoid shipping costs, or ship it directly to your house for just $10. Thanks again for visiting our store, and please keep checking back with us. We hope that on your next visit we'll have the games you're looking for in stock!

Fantastic experience: Really great store and customer service! Bought two games for the PS2 as part of a buy 1 get 1 sale, they put a free 2 week warranty on both, and when one of them refused to work, they honored it. When I went to purchase a PS1 memory card, the associate offered to dock the price of the defective game from the memory card's price, even though I paid nothing for it. will definitely be shopping here for all of my retro gaming needs from now on!

Cheyenne Hughes Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Such an awesome store. Walked out with some really awesome retro gear at amazing prices. Definitely will be back.

Emma Brennan Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: Wandered in on a whim. I never buy video games in a store because it's 2023 and the internet exists and most of my library is on Steam, but I figured I'd look to see if they have any cool video game swag. And... they do! There's lots of official stuff like mugs and doormats and albums and figurines. But what really drew my attention was the back corner, which was dedicated to selling video game prints and art objects from local artists. I'm somewhat of a collector, and I love that they're helping small artists find customers (and helping me find art).

Hippycow12 Posted on Google 3 years ago

Fantastic experience: A quaint but stocked shop with brilliant customer service on top of excellent prices. They even have a section of broken consoles if you are into DIY repairs! I will recommend this shop to everyone who is looking for a niche game or just likes to browse fun and interesting games/gaming merch. I can't wait to stop by again!

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience shopping over at Game Over! Brian was the staff member that helped me find all my goods and made excellent recommendations. He is very well versed in the gaming industry as well as answering intricate questions regarding certain gaming consoles/specs. Today I took advantage of their 20% Black Friday deal and purchased a wireless N64 Controller (yes they make those now!), a new N64 controller, a game pak, GameCube controller, power for an N64 and a HDMI converter for GC & N64. WOW what a haul! They have every piece you would need to revive an old console collecting dust, as well as consoles if you were looking to purchase a new one if you’ve lost your previous! The pricing is very fair to the market including games using eBay as reference so might as well shop local and take advantage of their points program! I had these gameboy color games that I had their batteries replaced here. 10$ a game and the solder work was immaculate. I watched it myself took less than 5 mins each game while I browsed. Brendan was the technician and he was very knowledgeable and handled these heirlooms with care. Again the service, products and staff were amazing. Brian, Brendan & Josh were a godsend. Exactly the type of team & shop you’d want to visit if you’re game hunting, collecting or looking for information about retro games. Best regards,

Fantastic experience: For starters, I might be a bit biased because they have my art posted in the "Artist's Corner". With that said... Game Over Videogames in Bellevue is hitting all of the right marks. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the game selection is very expansive (not expensive, but EXPANSIVE), and the prices are reasonable. As I mentioned above, I am a local artist and business owner (ReiRaz Craft LLC) who consigns my art to them in their artists corner and since doing so, the staff has been nothing short of helpful, caring, and supportive towards our partnership. I highly recommend local artists consign with Game Over Videogames to get a feel for how your art will sell, especially if you are unfamiliar with business. Doing so will not only give you a bout of confidence but will also help you refine your craft. Hope this helps anyone looking to do so.

Thanks for checking out our store, and sorry for the bad experience the first time....we've spoken to the team at the store, and we're not sure what happened to cause you to have that negative first impression...but we're glad to hear that on the next visit things went much better. Hopefully it was just an isolated situation, but please feel free to email us anytime you have a less than ideal experience in any of our stores at [email protected] We hope you will give us another chance to earn your business and support, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Negative experience: Been there several times. Selection is pretty good. But the guy with the Majora's mask tattoo on the back of his hand was rude to me and I won't go back.

Valentine Pillow-Wilcox Posted on Google 3 years ago

Positive experience: Good selection, high prices, doesn't seem like a place to get a good deal.

Ana Vasquez Posted on Google 3 years ago

Negative experience: In this store I had a bad experience when I made a purchase in cash, they did not give me a receipt and the wrong change, then I went to get the remaining money back, they told me no and they made fun of me, it was $5 dollars missing and I told them that I they gave another game and they also refused I said I'll pay them the difference and he says no and that it would be so easy for me they steal the money from one

Game Over Videogames
Game Over Videogames

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, however, after discussing this with the staff manager and counting the cash in our register, we were exactly correct on our cash counts. It seems that your money must have been lost elsewhere, and we're very sorry for any confusion when you came back to the store on a later date and another employee didn't know what this was all about. If you have any additional info or concerns, please feel free to email us directly at [email protected]
Thanks for understanding!

Negative experience: Good selection of items and the employees are super nice - but really frustrated by their store policies. Bought a controller for $40 and when it didn’t work for what I needed it for I took it back the next day and they said they wouldn’t do any returns and would only give me $5 if I wanted to sell the controller back to them. An 800% markup is pretty steep even for retro hardware :/ very disappointed because I really want to support local game shops

Game Over Videogames

Thanks for reaching out to us, and we're always doing our best to provide excellent customer service! As with most resale shops, we do have a no refunds policy, but we are always happy to do exchanges if something is found to be defective within 14 days. Thanks for shopping local!

Tyler Davis Posted on Google 3 years ago

Positive experience: Great staff. Some prices are good, some not. Trade-in values for games and consoles are abysmal - just sell on FB, Ebay, or CL.

William Skok Posted on Google 4 years ago

Positive experience: It's not bad. The staff are nice and they've got a really broad selection. That goes for their other stores in the Puget Sound area, too. I just really get floored by their prices every time I go in there. Some of the prices are kind of mind-melting and the prices they give you for selling your own stuff to them are even worse. That being said, I can't knock them too much for that because they're pretty on par with the Half-Price Books in the same mall on both of those fronts. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it's always nice to take a look in here every so often to see what they have floating through but more often than I can't say I walk out having bought something.

Teddy Olson Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: Love stopping by when in the area to checkout a healthy selection of old games and systems; like a blast from the not so distant past. I feel like the games are reasonably priced and I'd rather sell to them than GameStop, feels like I get more especially with in-store credit. Always happy to give them my business!

Larry Wall Posted on Google 4 years ago

Fantastic experience: My son gives them 5 stars. He goes here for used Skylanders. They have a good selection and the staff is usually very friendly.

Aaron Posted on Google 4 years ago

Negative experience: Overpriced games. Selling FF7 for $60 while other stores in the area are at $35. Terrible trade in value. Every store is bad for this but here it's especially bad. They give strictly 20% of what a game is worth while other stores do 30% or better. Decent selection though, probably because they are a national chain. I will not shop here again unless I cannot find a game literally anywhere else.

Chris Richards Posted on Google 4 years ago

We’re sorry for your experience, but we do not sell consoles missing wires or controllers and/or consoles without reformatting the HDDs. We offer a 14 day warranty against any unseen defects, so we’d recommend that you bring any broken items back to the store and ask for the store manager who will be happy to resolve those issues and make things right.

Samuel Chan Posted on Google 6 years ago

Negative experience: Had a really bad experience unfortunately. Saw an original Xbox one for sale and the salesperson said they would sell it for 150 plus a discount if paid in cash. Bought it on the spot...took it back and found out the hdmi cable didn't work. Took it back for a refund and was notified that they only take in store credit and only if a similar used item was available. None were...so they said I was on my own. Bought my own cable then found out the left bumper on the controller didn't work. Brought it back to replace with another controller and again no used controllers available. Best that they could do was give credit of the used controller towards a brand new one and charged me an additional twenty bucks. Just forgot about used and grab something new from eBay...not worth the headache.
