Negative experience: Definitely would not come back here again. So unprofessional and such an unkind environment. Came in looking at Xbox games and was ignored while the staff were gossiping about the way a previous customer smelled. Come to find out one of them is the MANAGER. This is no way to run a business and I’m so disappointed:( I used to love this store.
Negative experience: Went in looking for "A game I waited too long to get that I'm probably not going to find now." and everything was fine until I made a dumb joke about scalpers...they didn't like that, just got a bit irked said "UH....NO...next time preorder" and walked off, and not one word from either of them the rest of the time I was there. So that was weird.
Negative experience: Went to try to buy a Nintendo switch and she told me she didn’t have the keys to open up the glass. Told me to come back the next day . This store is supposed to open at 12 and they’re not even open it’s 1 o’clock. How is this normal at all? Never had so many issues at a GameStop in my life .
Fantastic experience: Great store, tons of awesome selections from video game stuff to card games & more. The cashier Michael was very personable and showed me the awesome godzilla Ramen collectibles they had, which I ended up buying - Will be coming back to this location
Fantastic experience: I've had to go into this location a few times lately, and the reason I even went out of my way to go back to that one a second time is because of the amazing service Brandy and Toni (guessing on spelling, sorry) provided, and even went above and beyond by catering to my many questions. Every visit since has been equally enjoyable and I'll definitely be going back.

Fantastic experience: Recently went in to trade in my Xbox on a newer model. We got through the process until the very last step of resetting the old unit. It was protected by a passcode that I couldn’t remember. I was there for over an hour thinking there’s got to be another way to do this. Microsoft support was no help. Finally, an employee came in to start her shift. I believe her name was Ellie or Ella, she did some research and was able to bypass this. Excellent customer service! She was very friendly and turned a bad experience into a good one. Thank you again.

Negative experience: Went in there and was looking at a used system. And she would not let me take a look at it and see the condition that it was in. I was interested in it. She was not customer friendly at all.
Fantastic experience: Best staff around easy. Prices are getting too high for pokemon & other trading cards so that needs addressed ASAP gamestop higher ups. Other than that I would highly recommend this store.
Fantastic experience: Ellie is AWESOME! I had a great experience at this store. We purchased a Joy-Con controller that was mislabeled as a Right when we needed a Left. When we went in to exchange it we didn't have a receipt but they were able to go into the computer, pull our transaction from a few days ago, and print us a new receipt so there were no issues with the exchange. Awesome experience all around. Highly recommend this store if you are considering going to a GameStop. The staff here is awesome and seems to actually care about serving customers really well.
Fantastic experience: My switch wasn’t working so I came in to ask for any assistance or advise and the two ladies on staff were the absolute definition of excellent customer service. I couldn’t get my switch turned on and the second I handed it over they got it turned on and working. They even gave me the perfect advice to keep it running. I also appreciate that they helped me fix my old switch instead of selling me the new one I can’t afford. 10/10 will come back here again.
Fantastic experience: I've been shopping here since the early 2000s, back when they sold DVDs of anime and there was a movie rental next door. Even if the employees change I always leave with a big smile on my face, I hope this place never goes away.
Fantastic experience: Laporsha really helped me out and changed my experience today. After leaving the tacoma mall gamestop with a terrible experience I decided I would give it another shot. Laporsha and kayla were helpful kind and straight forward. This is how shopping should be. I will only be shopping at this location.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely hands down some of the best customer service I have ever received!!!!! I was struggling to find Pokémon cards for a birthday present and when I called this store, a lovely lady named Laporscha was so sweet and let me know to come early the next day for a restock. And I was finally able to snag some cards before they were all scalped!!! Highly, highly recommended this store and their employees for all your gaming needs!

Fantastic experience: Just came in looking for card sleeves and Kyleigh was very helpful she gave me some good stores to find cards and even let me look at her personal Pokemon card cook and informed me about the Pokemon blooming waters set coming out which I was glad to hear because cards have been hard to find
Positive experience: Tried to turn in my XBOX before and Kayla said I couldn't. Had to make a second trip to exchange my XBOX with some else. Here customer service wasnt so great as well. Been a pro member since 2011 and shop here all the time. Other employees knowledgeable.
Negative experience: Called ahead to put a game on hold and they sold it. I had to drive 40 min just to get here The employees just luaghed about it. It was the last copy in the entire district
Negative experience: Wooooow. I'm extremely late but I just realized this location scammed me. I placed a pick up order on February 29th that I never picked up because we got super sick. While checking my bank account I see a charge from them on March 2nd. I checked my gamestop pro account and see they marked it delivered. What the actual fudge. My last email from them was on March 4th saying my pickup order was ready and they would hold it for 3 more days. I'm very upset.
Negative experience: Stopped by to see if they had One Piece trading card packs. I know they are hard to come by but to be told an employee buys them all the second they come in on the truck.... Perks of the job, I guess ..

Negative experience: I ordered couple items(prerealse) at the same time. Both came at different time which I understood. Employee told me they would call me when my item got there. I waited a week past the date the item came out and nothing. Came to the store and the person told me my item wasn't there but there was one box of the item I ordered there. so he was trying to sell me my item again??? Then the guy said we don't call customers. Then today I went to the store bc I was told to come in today and the lady told me my item wasn't there after been told to come in on Oct 6th bc my item would be there. At first she said we have 3 boxes in the back about of my item and that she took one to the mall. I asked her why would they tell me to be there today but not have my item available again. In a condescending way she told me well do you want me to cancel you order. She was so rude. I don't know if that just game stop in general or just this store.
Fantastic experience: Knowledgeable staff always willing to help out…great game selection, plenty of accessories to purchase for birthdays, holidays, etc. I’ve purchased two refurbished PS4’s from here, never a problem and they both are still running great to this day.

Negative experience: I have regularly been coming to this GameStop for about 5 years. Very nice people. Soulja is the best! But tonight I was in there and an employee named Jordan do the whole speech about getting the pro membership to save money, which is true. But there was a guy and his girlfriend who came in to get Zelda Breathe of the Wild since it was for sale for $40 online. Not an online or pro member only sale. Jordan asked to see the online price, the guy showed her, she proceeded to let him know it would be $35 with the pro membership renewal, and the guy said sure. He then decided to say "Nevermind, I actually don't want the pro membership" and Jordan then tells him "Well the game is not $35 then, it's full price." The game is on sale, non-pro member specific and she denied the guy the game for the discount because he changed his mind and didn't do what she wanted. That is bad business and even worse morals. Just because they didn't get what you wanted, doesn't mean they don't deserve the deal every other non pro member gets. When me and my wife checked out, she was friendly to us at first, then I told her a game was cheaper online so we can price match, showed her, she discounted it. She then turned from very kind attitude to a very "here's the games, now get out" type of attitude. Ridiculous and kind of embarrassing to be honest. Will for sure still go to this store because of Soulja! That dude deserves a raise! Make sure to ask for him.

Negative experience: They are VERY CROOKED!! They want to sell you a game for top price and then when your done they want to give you pennies back. They should at lest be fair..I saw the same game I was selling for $49.95 and they wanted to give me $2.00. That is crazy!!!

Positive experience: I was unaware that you could sell used games here my daughter told me about it and they went through and checked out my games and in fact what games they didn't buy they were able to give me a referral to a couple places that might still buy my games but let me tell you they have an awesome inventory in there not just of games they have bobbleheads and toys all types of things it was my first time there so I really appreciate it all the help I got and I definitely recommend that you going into this location and checking out the GameStop by Target off of Union

Negative experience: Called to ask a question and I’ve been on hold for 20 minutes. Because the associate state when he answered the phone, “I AM helping another customer”. Well that’s great, apparently he’s the ONLY employee working and capable of helping someone on the phone.
Fantastic experience: All of the staff here are always super upbeat and helpful, they go out of their way to make sure you're taken care of! Shout-out to Tamara and Anna for going the extra mile and being easy to talk to, you create a positive experience for everyone in the store!

Fantastic experience: This my favorite GS now. Not just the selection which varies, but also the people there. One of the managers always greets my son as his own person and treats him like all of the other customers.

She's also very sweet and knows how to handle people that aren't really in there for anything game-related (Tacoma Central has some real characters). I stopped by for a specific game, was told great things about it and ended up purchasing said game with a price-match even! Thank you for being awesome super-cool manager lady!!

Negative experience: Went there to get a switch pro controller. Online store said they had it. We get there they have the box on the shelf, we wait in line because someone was selling an xbox one Which is completely fine but it took 20 min and when we went up they said that they were out of pro remotes. If you're out remove the box from the shelf don't make us wait and waist our time.

Fantastic experience: So I absolutely love Gamestop. Great costumer service, and even if they don't have something they are more then willing to take the time to check and tell you where you can get it. They also actually talk to me as a person and not just a wallet. Love the fact that they also inform me about things like insurance and what it does and doesn't cover but don't push me to get something I don't want. Also like the fact that they work on making sure to answer any question I have. Highly recommend Gamestop.

Negative experience: Bad customer service. 1 cashier named JD who took forever with each customer, even though there was a line. He never acknowledged anyone in line by say, “sorry for the wait”. One customer in front of us walked about because how slow he was going. By the time we get up there he is rude and hardly responded.
Positive experience: A good place to look for games. Gane consoles. Bring old games your not playing and trade for store credit. Or sell old stuff for cash. Gamestop is the best when it comes to games!!

Negative experience: Pre-ordered the ff7 remake back in january at a different location, they stated their shipment still hasn't shown up, but this location off of union got their's in. Weird, but i'm understandable and this whole covid ordeal had everything screwed. The nice girl at the store i was already at had called a ahead for them to hold a copy for me and i'm on my way to come collect it. Soon as i get to the store location, i see the associate walking two girls out, immediately locks the doors behind herself and walks away before i approach the store. I tried knocking a few times and called the store locations phone number at least 6 times and no one would answer. I even called the original store I was at again to ask maybe if they would know whats up, they wouldnt answer her phone calls either. So now i just literally drove across town twice, for one game and can't even get it. Not the greatest impression in my books.
Negative experience: I need to talk to someone about my preorder and they haven't picked up the phone all day. On hold with corporate to get some help now.
Positive experience: Clean and well organized place with plenty inventory to choose from in shopping center so it is well lit and secure enough to allow children to go alone ( teenager age of course )with out worry of harm coming to them . Staff is knowledge and friendly
