GameStop: Reviews
Negative experience: Two of the rudest employees with little to no interest in successfully helping/satisfying customers.
Fantastic experience: I love this place . Was so gooooooooood
Fantastic experience: Go here! Ashley and Bri know Exactly what they're doing and saying! They are Very helpful. They're SUPER knowledgeable! I Trust these girls. They're Real gamers. I wouldn't go Anywhere else! Ask for them! 5 Stars because of these two!!
Fantastic experience: Suki was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. Thank you
Negative experience: Wow just wow they have given me charges on warranty and stuff like that i didn’t ask for i continues to be displeased with this shop employees extremely rude and think i will steal
Positive experience: Juegos de todos, buen surtido.
Negative experience: The store would likely get a much higher rating if the store manager, Suki, was not so passive aggressive and rude as so many other reviewers have pointed out. Anytime I try to make a return to the store, she is always so quick to tell me it cannot be done or that I have to do it online. Yet, every time I question her and she calls corporate she’s told otherwise. It’s honestly laughable at how much this lady despises taking returns at this store and will try to make it difficult or make you question yourself. Today, I was returning two items, and she was so quick to tell me that if I make too many returns, my account will likely get canceled. I told her that was fine, I’ll make a new one. She then went on to say I cannot return the products because it was over a certain amount. I told her that’s fine, I’ll just return one of the two. She tried to not have to take that return either; but while on the phone with corporate was instructed otherwise. Her disdain for receiving returns is so palpable. Suki will many times go as far as to say how it negatively impacts the store numbers and bottom line. In the past she’s thrown such an attitude it’s borderline vile. She’ll stress how horrible the week has been and how the store is now suffering because of my one return… Seriously? Regardless, today, she took the product she had to receive, slammed it on the counter and began the process. Seething through the teeth, she asked me for the original form of payment. I gladly handed her my credit card. She took the return and then stressed that that I “CANNOT RETURN THE OTHER PRODUCT AT THIS STORE AND NEED TO GO TO ANOTHER STORE! Yet, at the beginning of the return process, she said, I’m unable to return these products because they were over X amount of dollars and need to do it online and back to corporate. So it is obvious that this one store can take both. She just doesn’t want to and will likely lose sleep over this transaction. Don’t be fooled by the short in stature manager, stand your ground and know that if the website tells that you can return the product to the store, then they can receive the product. Worst case, as in my situation today, tell her to call corporate and confirm. Let them explain their own process to those that should know the rules and store regulations. Overall, the store does have a lot of product, the other staff are very pleasant and welcoming. But Suki, always with attitude, always displaying passive, aggressive behavior, always pushing warrantees, subscriptions and extras that are not necessary down peoples throats is what makes coming to the store many times a drag. I honestly come here only because it is the closest one to me and always en route of other locations as I run my errands. Also, I have no problem explains to folks the rules and policies of the very places they work for. Show some respect and humility. No need to display to the world if you’re having a crummy day and put people down; this store would be so much better if you didn’t push your attitude on everyone that came in the front door.
Negative experience: My 10 year old bought a starwars helmet and his brother bought one too. So they spent over $300 and when he realized that it doesn’t have the voice changer like his brother’s helmet, he put it back in the box to exchange it. Receipt states return within 15 days for refund when we got to the store they said no return or exchange on open items and that the return policy has just changed So Ridiculous. Talked to owner on the phone and he said we should have read the box and that it is our problem not his. Never will I ever buy a I thing from this store. My boys are in the store weekly Amazon or target on line would have allowed us to exchange it and this guy / owner said he doesn’t care and not his issue. Never again
Negative experience: I wanted to give zero stars. The short, light skinned, woman Suki behind the counter was rude and passive aggressive. As seeing other reviews, seems common in interactions with her. Not shopping here ever again.
Negative experience: Employee at the counter told me "I don't want to hear it" and was genuinely furious that I didn't buy a subscription. I used to work at GameStop, I know the pressure they put on people to sell them - but the fit she threw was insane. Sure as hell never going back now.
Fantastic experience: Didn’t have the White Joy-cons ️ wanted, but the Travel Case, 128gb memory card, and NBA-2k23 were available. And the even allow you to sell & trade certain items. The Ladies were very nice in the service they provided. Appreciate their time. Besides, working out, Music, and Creating Art; Video Games keep my hands busy and me out of trouble.
Fantastic experience: I've been here a couple of times and the staff are really nice. I went to the midnight release for a game and they had trivia and prizes. We all had a great time.
Negative experience: I'm giving it two stars cause the kid who helped me last week was nice BUT. I showed up one time at open (they were late opening the door) and the girl working I guess was mad that I was there because she made a point to inform me that the mall game stop (which is probably 15 minutes from this one and inside the mall) opens an hour earlier. Cool. Except this one is right across the street from me. Not sure why me being there when the store is open is a problem. Fast forward to today, I get there with 11 minutes to spare. I only need to exchange a warranty. She says "we close in three minutes" uhhh no. But ok I continued trying to solve my problem. Another dude comes In and she says we are closed. I look at my PHONE, YA KNOW THE TIME THAT THE WHOLE REST OF THE WORLD HAS, and its 6:54. I said you guys close at 7. And she says " my computer says 7". Well your computer is wrong. Don't treat customers like villains for coming in when you are still open. We all have the same time. We aren't going by what your computer says. What don't know what your computer says. Now I get people coming in close to close is annoying but it is what it is. She was also annoyed that I was there at open so you can't win with her I guess. She needs to get over customers being in the store at hours of operation. Don't work there I guess if doing your job, within the hours of the store being open, is a problem. Its convenient how their computer clock is behind when they are opening and ahead when they are close to close
Negative experience: Rude and disrespectful management. Do yourself a favor and take your business to a different location. Short woman behind the counter is short tempered and focused on running people out of the store. Worst experience I’ve had at GameStop in years.
Negative experience: Walked in looking for a specific game, looked around the store and was unable to find what i was looking for so we went to the counter to see if they could search stores in the area. The short woman at the counter was VERY rude and dismissive, said this is the most organized GameStop in the area so if it’s not out they don’t have it. She was unwilling to help us look and said we can go on the website. No one else was in line waiting so I don’t understand why she was unable and UNWILLING to assist.
Negative experience: SUKI the employee on site was very rude and impatient. Definitely won’t be returning here thanks to her.
Negative experience: This short lady was very rude and wouldn’t honor my return even tho I had the account that made purchase and the box with sticker horrible
Negative experience: If I could give zero stars I would. One of the worst experiences I've ever had in retail. And from the Google Reviews it looks like many other people have had the same experience. My family was a group of 6 walking into the store. First point of contact was the female manager telling us to hurry up because we're letting out the Ac. I then overheard her say she doesn't even know why they're open today, she just wants to go home. I came to do a return of a Christmas gift I bought in the Black Friday Sale. She had to call corporate to process the refund and when she pulled up our order and saw we purchased on Thanksgiving, she said people don't even know how to celebrate Thanksgiving anymore. Then when corporate advised her that they will send me a return label to bring it back to the store, she asked us to go to another Game Stop when I get the label. We asked why should we go to another Game Stop and she admitted that it's because she didn't want us to come back to her store. The male attendant in the store was so nice and apologized to us. I feel really bad that he has to work with her. I tried to get the store owner's info and she wouldn't give it to me so I'm hoping he sees this review.
Fantastic experience: Friendly local GameStop, love all the current and recent employees, everyone's great, they will give you honest opinions on games and are engaging and helpful
Negative experience: Extremely disappointed in this location's customer service. I visited twice on December 3rd in the afternoon. I was returning a purchase made online. The first visit I was told they didn't take back game systems and referred me to call customer service. After returning home I called customer service and was told all purchases less than $500 can be returned to the store. I was led to the site where I processed the return and was given the choice to mail back or return to store. I chose return to store and printed the return invoice. I returned to this location and was still given a hard time. I waited quite a while as the cashier struggled to add money to a gift card for the customer after of me. Once it was my turn, I told them I had called customer service and had the return invoice with a bar code for the store to process. They said the bar code was pointless since they have no way to scan it. They sell disagreed that I could return the order and said they'd have to call customer service. I felt skeptical to let them process the return reluctantly and without knowledge as to how to do it. I told them I was upset and they had no qualms in handing me back the return and letting me handle it elsewhere. I then drove to Pembroke Lakes Mall. This GameStop was amazing and quite the opposite of the Miramar location. They took my return back, scanned the bar code on the return invoice, were courteous, quick, and successfully processed the return. Save yourself the trouble and drive to the GameStop in Pembroke Pines.
Negative experience: Went to pick up Call of duty Modern Warfare 2 on my lunch break launch day 10/28/22...and the store was closed at 1pm til 3pm, I thought that was odd...but I get off work at 7pm (this store is really close to my job) so I figured I'd just pick up the game after work since they close at 9pm. So I called at 6:30ish to make sure they are open. And the manager tells me they are closing at 7 because she has to take her break....so they close at 7pm but online it says they close at 9pm. I don't live close to this store and they can't transfer my fully paid pre order to another store! I'm so angry! So now I either can't play COD this weekend or I'll have to buy it somewhere else...they need to either staff up or take breaks in a manner that allows them to honor their posted hours. Call this store before you drive there to make sure they are open...I've never seen this at any gamestop...I hope it doesn't happen again. This location is usually reliable...
Fantastic experience: Customer Service is awesome!!
Negative experience: "They asked for your opion and went with this anyway" When we asked for your opinion one of you responded with "im out" and the other "i dont really game like that" You guys are normally better than that but if you want to talk that way on the floor go work elsewhere..
Fantastic experience: Excelent
Positive experience: Great attention
Positive experience: Service was excellent
Fantastic experience: This store is awesome I’ve never had a problem here. Suki and the rest of them are always helpful and a have never given me s bad experience
Negative experience: No quality service here. This was my second GameStop visit in the same day. My wife spoke with the manager over the phone and inquired if a game was in stock. We were never informed that the "New Game" was used as a display. Fast forward to the checkout, as I assumed I was paying for a pre-owned game, only to be charged full price for something that wasn't technically "New". The manager, Suki, was rude and lacked hospitality. She wasn't willing to discount the game at all. I would not recommend shopping at this GameStop. Terrible experience.
Negative experience: I walked in the store for a trade in and the manager asked if i needed help and i told her I’m here for a trade in and without me taking anything out of the bag i had. She only saw my bag was labeled for a jewelry store saying that they don’t accept it. I didn’t bring in jewelry that’s for sure. Terrible and rude, prejudice manager. Maybe next time, wait to see what people actually pull out of the bag before replying with a smug response. I looked at her like if she was being serious or not. After being helped by the nice associate, I lost my interest in shopping around the store. I took my gift card and left. I’m avoiding this gamestop for good, this was not my first experience with the store manager. I’m surprised she’s still around with that attitude.
Positive experience: The staff here is friendly, always willing to assist. The store is pretty quiet most days.
Negative experience: Can someone pleas pick up the phone
Negative experience: The short, female manager is atrocious. Pleads up and down that they don’t have the game I want without even checking. I return two hours later with new employees and turns out they did have it she just didn’t feel like looking in the system. Every time I have dealt with her she is passive aggressive and extremely unhelpful. Hope she reads this and resigns.
Fantastic experience: Very helpful staff. This location is the best. Dedicated people who are into games and will always help you. Much better selection than in past.
Fantastic experience: Always great service and very knowledgeable staff
Negative experience: Terrible attitude for the personnel at the store, an employee turned us down because we wanted to trade-in our old console and get cash from it, using the excuse that she already gave $800 usd cash trade-ins for the day, she was nodding her head like if we were unreasonable. Not our fault or anybody's that she gave a lot of money already, there is no rule about it right? She had bad attitude since we got there yelling es very body like we were cattle. So sad ppl like this make you stop going to businesses, this store is pretty close to my home, so it's very convenient, but I'm not planning to go back anytime soon. Hopefully a manager reads this post and takes some action, this lady was working on Sunday January 2nd at 5:00 pm. Thanks
Negative experience: Horrible service. This store in specific lies about their return policy. Customer service confirmed it, and just to be clear: If an item is new then you can return it inside any store. Furthermore, they need not know the last 4 digits of the card as seen on the original receipt, the customer service representative stated that the person at the store is lying because they do not wish to do any refunds in the store. This store is run by a liar that does not care about the customers, avoid the store if possible as they will lie to you to take your money, you are not a person to them, you are a transaction. If an item is open and was purchased new, please keep in mind you only have 7 days to refund said item, I state this for clarity as I know this store will lie to you and I want everyone to know the refund policy now that some holidays have ended and people may want to refund something. Tl;dr - This store has a supervisor that does not care about you and will lie to you to profit her store. Avoid this store when purchasing anything, many other GameStop have better service and care about you as a human and not as a transaction. This store will lie to you with a straight face and a smile on the whole time.
Negative experience: The employee was super rude and annoying. She let everyone skip me because I was doing a trade in. She was giving a child a hard time and sass because he was charged incorrectly. She was telling another customer that we were all going to die because he didn't have a mask on. She was insane and I wish I had gotten her name so that I could call corporate but I couldn't take her antics anymore and just walked out. This was on 12/26/26 at 12:45 pm. Stay away.
Fantastic experience: Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Negative experience: The dudes that work at this store are cool and helpful but that short light skin girl is crazy, Idk if she's trying to be cute or funny but it comes off nasty and rude. I asked what's up with the ac and she said do I look like I work for the ac company and while I was still shocked and trying to laughing it off. She asked if I was going to buy something or just hang out. I ran out of there. No wonder it was empty she's so uninviting.
Negative experience: The young lady that works their has such a bad attitude and outlook on life. I visited this store on 10/25/2021 and was 1 of 4 customers their at the time and the young lady either didn't offer to help anyone or was rude to the ones that asked a question. Even making the kids feel uncomfortable. I came in to pre-order a game and didn't like the vibe in the store. I just left and went to Target down the street and got the game one day early. Really hope she gets the help that she needs or be yet hopefully GAMESTOP can provide her some customer service training.
Fantastic experience: Nice seller
Fantastic experience: Awesome customer service. The young men working this afternoon were amazing! Gave is all the info we needed to get started on Pokémon cards.
Fantastic experience: Friendly & helpful staff.
Negative experience: Rarely I have a bad experience at a GameStop. The place is a candy shop for gamers, But service is everything. The phone is never picked up and is disconnect after being put on hold. I went in to trade in a PS4 only to be told I have to wait until she can clean up what ever she was doing before I can be assisted , it was obvious by the amount of excuses that she didn't want to help me with my trade in. no other GameStop required a USB charger for the controller in order to complete the trade. Suki needs to go
Fantastic experience: Good Place for gaming stuff
Positive experience: Muy profesionaled
Fantastic experience: The entity practiced social distancing. Very friendly young lady kept her cool with the customers. Good assortments of purchases overall i shall return .
Negative experience: Rude manager
Negative experience: As Christmas approaches us a lot of stores will either give us huge discounts or try to ripe us off. Well that’s that this store is doing. They are up selling the Nintendo Switch, they to sell the switch with two games, the case and the protection plan for only $498.00. Well all you have to do is say NO thank you and go to Walmart. Walmart has it for the right price of $299.00. I found it at the one on 57th Ave.
Fantastic experience: Buen ambiente
Negative experience: Suki is very rude and should not be working with people.
Fantastic experience: Great store, Carlos was helpful. Happy that I wasn't beaten over the head with the upsell, and I wasn't secretly charged for a pre-order without my knowledge. Drove 30 minutes as they were the only one that had the game I wanted in stock, will continue to come to this store as the employees at the ones near me aren't as nice. Great customer service goes a long way.
Fantastic experience: They have the best games
Fantastic experience: Best Gamestop to shop at for all of your gamer needs! Has the best employees that are knowledgeable in video games and more than willing to help anyone out!
Negative experience: At 12:19 on Sunday May 24th I came to purchase an action figure that I had ordered for pick up and was treated very rudely by a female staff member. She had nothing but smart remarks and constant rudeness for something so simple and had the audacity to tell me "I should've done this online" and also said "no cares about me/associates" I took every precaution needed to make sure we're both safe and did not deserve to be treated like this on something so simple. Will not be coming back here.
Fantastic experience:
Positive experience: GameStop!! tell the world to play Animal Crossing! Lol Thanks a lot for Hold my Animal crossing Switch you guys are the best! Love you guys
Fantastic experience: Great sevice and the young lady who helped me is super cool. I will definitely be going back to this location.
Positive experience: Muy amable el personal.
Negative experience: the cute guy with the long hair was very helpful but the manager was impatient and rude.
Fantastic experience: Good service
Fantastic experience: I stopped going to gamestop for a while now but recently I started going here and let me just start buy saying THIS IS THE BEST GAMESTOP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO!!!!!!! The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable on the games and i don't know what I can say other than this is the only gamestop I will ever shop at

Fantastic experience: Good
Fantastic experience: Great little place. The sales girl was very informative and helpful
Fantastic experience: The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming! The manager was able to make a good experience even better. My favorite GameStop and every time I go there, I learn something new and helpful.
Positive experience: Clean, big store with decent selection of extra stuff!
Fantastic experience: Me encanto las promociones
Fantastic experience: Always have the gear I'm looking for
Positive experience: The sales person was helpful explaining how their PowerUp Rewards program works.
Fantastic experience: Best GameStop in South Florida!
Positive experience: They always have what im looking for and the customer service is very good.
Fantastic experience: Wow! So many Pokemon!
Fantastic experience: The really adorable red headed girl in there was super sweet and very helpful.
Positive experience: Nice store, people is friendly and willing to help. Good options of pre owned games.
Fantastic experience: Fun time
Negative experience: Management at this store was great many many 7+ years ago back when Reuben was the manager and his employees were awesome too!. The last time i was there, there was a different manager. And when I requested two games, they made a rude comment saying "oh, so you're into that type of game huh?" In a weird tone. The person also sold me a game new that was missing the binis content in which i was lucky enough to get it corrected at another gamestop store. This review applies to the experience 2-3 years ago. Cant say about management at this store now since i havent been to it.
Fantastic experience: Yes, lots of cool gear here...
Fantastic experience: Super espectacular para compartir en familia
Fantastic experience: It's a great place to find the extras
Fantastic experience: Close to my house. Friendly staff. A little slow.
Fantastic experience: Excelente
Fantastic experience: Awesome location. Suki and Irvin were incredibly helpful and patient with three console trade-ins. They also helped me get more for my trades off of a new Xbox One X. I highly recommend this location.
Positive experience: Good people and always helpful.
Fantastic experience: Helpful staff
Negative experience: Horrible customer service from the new manager. I was very surprised. Used to go there with my kids all the time but have decided to take my business elsewhere. There are a lot of choices out there and Gamestop should have invested in hiring the right person. This manager is loud, condescending, and has no patience for children, who in reality are the ones who make us spend in their store. I witnessed this manager treating a mom and her child horribly, screaming and daring her to call his superiors.... just because the kid was touching the toys and making noise; nothing so out of norm to prompt a screaming match. Bottom line - GameStop you need to train your new crew on customer service or risk loosing more business
Fantastic experience: It's small but it's close to home and has everything we want to shop for. The employees are also knowledgeable and as nerdy as I am, so that's a plus.
Fantastic experience: Been there once two weeks ago got the game i need good customer service.
Fantastic experience: Muy buena variedad de juegos a excelentes precios, atencion y asesoria para la mejor seleccion.
Negative experience: The employees are awesome, and I will miss them. Corporate sucks (firing excellent managers, for instance), which has cost them my future business. Amazon is better due to massive pre-order discounts.
Fantastic experience: Cool
Positive experience: Good selection of games
Positive experience: Great place, but not too many Wii U games. Hence the 4 stars.
Fantastic experience: good service
Fantastic experience: $10 Roblox card
Fantastic experience: Roblox card
Positive experience: Has many things needed for gamers, but poor customer service
