Fantastic experience: Every time we go there they are always nice. Lots of different items and prices are actually pretty fair. If your looking for something they probably have it. Everyone is always very helpful too. We drive about 40ish minutes just to get there but its worth it.

Fantastic experience: In January, I was working to rebuild my physical game collection and found an original copy of Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year Edition from a separate seller. Unfortunately, when it arrived, the original two-disc case had been replaced with a single-disc case, with one disc shipped loose in a paper sleeve. That disc was heavily scratched, and even careful handling caused an additional radial scratch. Needless to say, I was disappointed. This is where Game N Groove came in. After speaking with Max on the phone about their disc resurfacing service, I decided it was worth my time to visit the store. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed, the disc was inspected, and it was taken straight to their resurfacing machine. During the process, I had a pleasant conversation with the staff—it was my first visit, and the atmosphere left a great first impression. The results speak for themselves: the scratched disc was completely revitalized. It’s reassuring to have a local shop that offers quality resurfacing at a reasonable price. Both discs are now in pristine condition, stored in a proper two-disc case, and ready to play. I didn’t have time to browse the store on this visit, but that just gives me a reason to return. If you have disc-based media that needs a little cosmetic help, I highly recommend giving Max and the team at Game N Groove a chance—you might find another treasure while you’re there.

Negative experience: Sold them two systems one which was brand new in plastic offered me 40$ for both then talked about how people mod the system and sell it for much more. Low ballers to the max a bunch of grown men that have no real work ethic and most of there VHS tapes they sell have mold on the films. I can post pics of the moldy things if need be

Negative experience: I just stopped in here for the first and probably last time. Definitely got the vibe of not being welcome here, and as a fem presenting nerd, this is not the first time a local nerd shop made me feel uncomfortable. I didn't expect to be fawned over obviously but I said hello and just got stared at... Definitely set the mood off to a bad start. Also, super not handicap friendly. Nothing they can really do about that, but just a heads up to others since I'm doing this. Tldr: the vibes were off.

Negative experience: They sell you things at what ever price they want you ask one person a price then ask someone else they tell you another price. They tell you that you have 30 days to return something just to say we can do a buy back. It's better and cheaper game store around

The nearby meats endorsed by the other owner are very delectable. I occasionally bring by my own offering of meats to show them what's good...I also buy records here sometimes. Fantastic experience: I forgot to post my review I went there a few weeks ago to sell my Xbox series S and the guy there had gave me a tour in there store they had a moded ps2 a room full of games of newer/old games and they had a room full of OG dvd and blu-ray and VHS and record room too I will say if you like old games and movies this definitely the place too go I appreciate these guys for keeping the good Ole retro stuff alive coming to this store made my day.

Fantastic experience: my original review for this place was glowing. I had nothing but high praise for the guys there. as is demonstrated everyday, Hangout around a certain group enough times around someone long enough you'll find out who they really are. for me it took quite a long time because I'm not there a lot it's not a grocery store it's not a gym it's a video game store. I had a pretty bad family crisis which I'm still in. this involves a member of my family that cannot care for themselves we'll put it that way. I had a game that I had purchased there for $25 it was practically new for PlayStation 5 and also in Naruto DVD box set imperfect shape. along with this with a PlayStation classic system the plug & Play people can modify to play any game on they sell for around $80. I told them what was going on over the phone they seem stunned at least it seemed that way I got there with the products. I walked all the way to westwood. he said he would take them and help me out. I was happy. I got there the whole mood was changed he's like unfortunately we can't buy any of this the situation has changed and I can tell I was probably being played with I'm like are you serious? one of the guys that was pretty rude said to the other guy without looking at either of us we can't take that one Bing my PlayStation well I wasn't going to leave it there anyway and get low-balled knowing I needed the money they low-balled me and said well we'll give you five bucks for those two I was like my Naruto box set and a $25 game I just bought in this box set that it's worth more than that though. I didn't thrust my problems on to him I just gave him a general sense of what was happening to kind of explain myself because it was embarrassing and I said are you serious? he's like yeah that's all that's worth completelyU N CARING. I couldn't believe it I was completely shocked. I walked all the way from the other side of Cheviot to Westwood did you just get this little bit of money to help a family member who really needed it and it blew me away they would lowball somebody I guess because they knew I needed it? yeah that's what it was I've seen that look before they will sell you stuff with a smile but don't try to sell anything there if you don't expect to be treated like a human being I was not treated like a human being I was treated like an opportunity.. I haven't been exploited in that way in a long time of course I needed the money. looking back with my PlayStation classic premium system here up and running thank God I didn't sell it but that day when the crisis was new, because Lord knows we needed the money the child needed the money and I gave them all the details I spared here. so everyone should know where your money is going. before this I had high praise for them. if you're looking for a video game to BUY. IT'S FIVE STARS. but I just thought I'd let you know The human side of this so I want you to know what the hard side the other side is what the people need to realize is when someone is selling something they obviously need the money. I just wanted to give you a glimpse of what that side of this place is like.

Fantastic experience: A very fun and neat small business specializing in video games present and past, my kids were all able to find something they liked and I even found some PS3 games for my sister who still uses the console.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service just wanted a price check over the phone for a game guy acts like its the biggest hassle cause they close soon it was 4:15 they close at 5:00

Fantastic experience: I recently took in my old Nintendo Entertainment System that I've had for over 30 years for repair. This console is like a family member to me. I found this shop by google search in a desperate attempt to get my old buddy working again. It tought me how to play and my son when he was old enough. One day I plan on passing it on to him. So imagine how much I mean it when I say you can trust these guys to do a great job! The system is working great and I even received a follow up text with tips on how to get older games working. They are very well priced and they earned 5 stars. Thanks guys!

Negative experience: Sold me a broken XBOX controller. Didn’t realize it was broken until after about 2 days after buying it. Bought on a saturday, they’re closed Mondays and tuesdays and I don’t live nearby. Wouldn’t give me a refund, or store credit cause it wasn’t brought back in 7 days. Didn’t answer the phone anytime I called. Also purchased need for speed most wanted black edition for $30. Got home just to realize the game in the case was just the regular game and not the special edition I paid for. Don’t waste your money. (Edit) I clearly mention in my review I called multiple times. Nobody answers the phone so that was a dumb thing to say lol. didn’t mention anything about the game cause what was the point when I was already given a hard time about a $25 controller. The way you handled this review is a clear reflection of how you manage your business. Poorly. My bank refunded me in full for the controller and the game. Get bent.

They were able to put it on hold so I could come and get it the next day and the guy at the front desk when we arrived was very helpful and even threw in a free sticker. 10/10 would definitely come back.

Fantastic experience: I've been here about 4 times now. What a great curated selection of everything! You don't often realize the value of nostalgia until its staring you in the face. They have Blu-rays, box sets, next-gen Video Games, display stuff from the 80's through the 10's, old figures and guides, and one of the selections of vintage games ive seen at a shop of this size. It takes me back to some of the fonder parts of my childhood and that's a genuinely beautiful thing. I recently went to return something that was way outside of their 7 day return window. He informed me that if you purchase something that isn't functioning and you don't live close, just call within a week and you can return it the next time you come in without issue. He gave me a discount anyways and I picked up a couple new games for way less than most places are charging these days. Don't sleep on this place, folks. Also, if you're out an about in the evening, check out Wondercade next door. Love to see places like this in the area.

Negative experience: I was super excited to come check this place out because I’ve never been here before and I wanted to support a small business vs gamestop/Amazon. There were two gentlemen in the store when I entered, one with glasses and one without. The one without seemed generally annoyed by my presence and any questions that I was asking. I really wanted to take a look at more games other than what I came in for but that would have involved asking more questions so I just bought what I came in for and left.

Negative experience: Store looked like it had a cool selection but the trade value offered was borderline scammy. I was offered under a 1/4 of what the true value of my games were. A couple of my games were worth more individually than the total offer price of the 7 games + controller combined. I called Arcade Legacy right after and got an offer from them at more than double the amount.

Fantastic experience: The staff were very friendly. They were able to answer all the questions I had about the games I was looking to purchase, and I'll definitely be shopping here again.

Fantastic experience: This is Edward, I just had recently experience with them and we saved at least 100 dollars compared to the ebay prices for these games. I would definitely recommend this store as it is very versatile. Also, the employees or owners are extremely friendly and will kindly talk to you about video games, and if the game is dirty/scratched they make sure that it is cleaned for the best quality possible for the price point. This shop needs more attention, keep it up!
