Fantastic experience: I wanted to take a minute to discuss the amazing customer service I had at this GameStop store today. I met with a couple of associates that stood out as amazing customer service employees. Both Justin and Maddie are both next level with their level of customer service, courtesy, professionalism and are an asset to the GameStop franchise. I cannot say enough good remarks about the both of them.
Fantastic experience: Madi called me to remind me that my pre order was ready which I totally forgot about, she also went out of her way and searched the amibo I was interested in And gave me all the info on it. She was also very sweet and kind. Every store should have their own Madi!

Negative experience: They were respectful but minors can’t use there warranty that they paid for when they have a broken controller and they said it just became a policie and I’m not a fan of it
Fantastic experience: I had one of the best customer service experiences ever at GameStop thanks to Kayla! From the moment I walked in, she greeted me with a warm smile and such a genuinely kind and helpful attitude. You can immediately tell she cares about her job and the people she helps. I came in with a simple question, but Kayla didn’t just answer it—she went above and beyond in every way. She took the time to call another store for me, made all the arrangements so I wouldn’t have to do a thing, and even wrote down the exact address to make it easier for me. I didn’t have to ask or insist—she just took the initiative, and that speaks volumes about her work ethic and character. Her attention to detail, thoughtfulness, and willingness to go the extra mile made my day. Thanks to her, I was able to quickly grab the New Super Mario Bros. game from the other store, and my kids are going to be so happy! Kayla is truly a gem—patient, efficient, and incredibly sweet. GameStop is lucky to have someone like her on their team. I left the store not just with a solution but with a smile on my face. Fantastic experience: Shawn was super nice and helpful with my purchase. Very knowledgeable. My only complaint is that is insanely hot in the store. If it were not for Shawn and his knowledge and kindness I would have walked out without making a purchase. Please fix the ac for this poor guy!

Negative experience: DON’T CHOOSE THIS LOCATION This is one of the most horrible customer service experiences I’ve had or lack there of . I called several GameStop locations to see if I could trade or sale my son’s broken XBox One S ( I broke the port for the HDMI connection while unhooking it from the television). To my surprise I was informed that as long as o had all of the pieces , I could, so I chose this location as I frequent this shopping plaza often . On Friday 12/272024 I spoke with Shawn the store manager, who informed me after hooking it up that it’s GameStop’s policy that if it’s doesn’t turn on meaning no signal due to broken port that they do not accept them for trade in this condition. So I left called a location in Tampa and they informed me that in fact this was FALSE . So I went to the GameStop location In CountrySide Mall , and they also confirmed what I was told a couple of times over the phone and what the Tampa store communicated., they infact take them even if they don’t power on , so I went on to complete the transaction. I went back to this location to explain to Shawn the so called manager, that either he’s a liar or he’s untrained. He stated “he’s been working there for a year” which leads me to believe he’s a liar and was too lazy to be diligent to process the trade. There was no accountability just a blank stare , so Shawn basically waisted my time and gas , simply because he could .I contacted customer service who never called back . I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION, STAY AWAY . The COUNTRYSIDE LOCATION HAS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE !
Negative experience: The kid with the Grateful Dead tattoo needs to have multitasking training. I’ve been to this location twice within the past month and both times there have been multiple people in line and he is taking over 20 minutes to assist a customer. I understand some transactions take longer than others, but if there are multiple people in line and you know you’re going to take a while, you need to check out the individuals that have 1 to 2 items in their hand that are waiting for 20 and honestly 30 minutes. There are two registers, it’s very easy to handle. Also, when somebody exits the store, it would be wise for him to not be sarcastic And say inappropriate things as they leave the store, that is a very good way to not have somebody come back and it’s not a great look on GameStop when there’s about 10 people in the store and he’s Speaking and acting in a condescending manner towards customers who no longer had the patience To wait 20 minutes to buy a single item. Absolutely horrible attitude and even worse customer service.
Fantastic experience: I don’t see how anyone would say that the people that work there are not nice. These people and I mean all of them have always been very nice and helpful. They have even taken time to walk over to the new games and spend time giving me their opinions on different games. The store is always organized. I don’t buy any games on line because I enjoy talking and getting their expertise on all the different games. Keep doing a great job! I will be there later today to get my Microsoft flight simulator 2024 premium deluxe game at noon!

Negative experience: I really don't like leaving reviews, but I have a few complaints. Some of the staff at this location have been combative and plain rude throughout the years. Also I've been waiting to go in and make a pre-order, but it's 12:10PM on a Sunday and both Google AND the hours sign on the door say 11AM. The worse part is that someone is clearly here because the lights were turned on after I walked away to wait in my car. Saw several people walk up to the door and leave. Difficult way to make sales if you don't open the store.
Fantastic experience: Stopped by for the first time to pick up some tcg cards, thought the selection was fine and the girl was nice, she knew alot about the Pokemon cards and games, overall nice experience. :)
Positive experience: Most of my experiences have been fine, buying cards most of the time. However, I will never pre-order from gamestop again and will not renew my Pro account. I pre-ordered an inexpensive and small item and paid in full, went on vacation, came back and the item I pre-ordered and paid for was resold because I didn't pick it up in 48, 72, a week, who cares what the policy is...I prepaid in FULL and my item was resold to someone else before I could pick it up. Money first, customer service last. Never again... it only takes one bad experience to lose a customer forever.

Negative experience: The young man closed the store early I called from the Park Blvd location and drove to the us 19 and Gulf to Bay and still had 12 min til 9:00 pm he ignored me and continued vacuuming the floor. I knocked on the door and he said that the computer shut down meaning that he was closed because it was 9 o’clock on their computers. I showed him the time on the cell phone and he said that he can’t ring nothing up anyways, he’s closed. Come back tomorrow.. I came back the next day to purchase the game and spoke with the assistant manager to let him know what was going on when me and another customer pulled up at 12 minutes till nine and he didn’t let either one of purchase games.

Negative experience: Went to GameStop to try to save time and money. The worst customer service from both the shift leader and Juan the manager. Their 100% test products is a lie and when I asked them to show me, she couldn’t. The cashier told me I didn’t need to give my phone number bc I don’t shop there often. The controller was broken, so I’m out $60. No wonder you’re going out of business. Save the hassle and go to Target.

Negative experience: Review for GameStop, Clearwater Mall 2723 Gulf to Bay Blvd HELLO MANAGMENT I am disappointed to report a less-than-satisfactory experience at this GameStop location. On November 17th, I bought a physical copy of "Mario RPG," which was advertised with a bonus pin promotion. The staff informed me that the pins were delayed in shipping and advised a return visit in a few weeks. However, when I returned on December 5th, I was told that the bonus pins were exclusively for those who pre-ordered, which was not specified in the original promotion. This contradiction is concerning, as it reflects poorly on the store's commitment to its promotions and to its customers. I am seriously considering canceling my Pro membership and not returning to this store if such promotional discrepancies continue. It's crucial for customer trust that a store honors its advertised promotions.
Negative experience: Rude costumer service, they don't require restroom, not polite
Positive experience: Went to this game stop because they were the closest game stop to me with what I wanted in stock available for pickup. Knew exactly what I wanted and spent over $600. Felt the sales associate was prioritizing customers that came in after me and was only interested in selling me an extending warranty. Only to continue to show interest in the other potential customers talking about MTG cards. I felt like I wasn’t treated with any customer service and was just another potential up sell. But the good news is I got what I came for.
Fantastic experience: Sabian is a lifesaver. I came in looking to get my spiderman PS5 fixed and before I came in I had doubts and he reassured everything was going to be good. In short, he is awesome and we definitely need more employees like Sabian out there. I told my friends and family to come to this Gamestop. Thank you again!
Fantastic experience: My family member recommended me to come to this gamestop location. The employee at the register, I think his name was Sabian. He was very fast and helpful. My family was right about coming here, the hospitality is very welcoming in the area compared to other locations.

Positive experience: As we know, Gamestop Corporate itself is pretty sh*t. Me and my s/o pre ordered Tears of the Kingdom from the Tampa Gamestop, and we, alongside many others, got royally screwed over. The Tampa gamestop called me saying, in these exact words, 'the game releases at midnight'. Little did I know, that meant, there was a midnight party, which was never explicitly said to me in all the weeks I've been waiting up until that point. Even gamestops' written pre order rules said nothing about getting your plaque only at midnight. Not just that, but locations that did not hold parties still held onto their promised pre order plaque goodies and handed them to people as they came in. Not receiving my expensive piece of wood, I called corporate and many others, until this Clearwater location said they had one left. Upon coming in, I learned that it was a coworker's private copy. I am grateful for you guys to be willing to give away your own precious copy, but my good conscious would not let me. I wish Tampa's location was just as grateful and helpful. Thanks.

Still a great place to go to and get new and used games for decent prices, talk to staff about gaming and feel for them cause they are stuck at work and not at home playing games. I know the feeling all to well . I hope these stores stay around as gaming becomes a more and more digital space.

Negative experience: Worst GameStop I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Ordered Pokemon Violet online and got a notification from Door Dash that my order was marked "delivered". When I saw the order wasn't here, I called GameStop and they said they had the order, and we're waiting for a driver to come pick it up. Next day came and still no game, so I called Door Dash, and they said the delivery was cancelled because they didn't have my order. Called GameStop corporate and they said they would get a new order out to me. 4 days went by and I check my emails to find that they had processed a return without asking me, or even trying to contact me about it. The whole company should really go the route of BlockBuster.
Negative experience: Ordered a game for same day delivery. Never got delivered when we paid extra. Called GAME STOP CUSTOMER SERVICE and they said I can go pick it up. Gave me the store number to a different store I originally ordered from. Mind you I live 20 miles from this specific store. I tell her I’ll get it after work at 6pm. I call the store number, this store in Clearwater. Explain the situation and took the worker about four to five times to understand what I was saying. Finally got it and said they will wait for us. I specifically said “DO NOT GIVE IT TO ANYONE ELSE WE WILL DRIVE THERE AFTER 6pm WHEN WE GET OFF WORK.” We get there after driving 20 miles to, and they gave it to the delivery driver before we got there. Same guy on the phone was at the register. Did not inform the other employee about our call nor simply put a sticky note on our game. 40 miles of gas wasted. I could see the miscommunication if I had not specifically said on the phone call to not give it to someone else to pick it up, but I shouldn’t have had my standards so high.
Positive experience: The pops are the reason I go. They have got games, tee shirts, controllers, action figures, and other gaming headsets.

Positive experience: I'm glad I found the closest Gamestop to me. I walked in and was not greeted. I left, came back, and wasn't greeted again. I feel devloping rapport right away is important.
Positive experience: The available stock is fine, and I’ve gotten some great deals. Isaac was a big help with some questions I had earlier. That said, at least get the employees a fan for behind the counter. The AC wasn’t running, so the consistent foot traffic led to it being very muggy in there. Almost no temperature/humidity difference compared to outside. In the summer.

Positive experience: This was more about the online experience than the store. The employees were as good as can be expected, with the corporate limits they have. But I went to get a couple games on black Friday, as part of the "buy 2 get 1 free" deal. I got through the order, went to sleep. A couple days later I go to check on it, and the delivery date. The site decided to unprocess my order, and the deal was over. So I could reorder the same games now, if I wanted to pay an extra $50. Unfortunately the rep over the phone and employees in house were unable to help me. So, yeah, sour taste in my mouth about the company.

They offered help in games I might enjoy and overall very polite and charismatic. It's further than my normal GameStop but it's now gunna be my go to. Thanks for all the help today guys.

Even when i became homeless and had no money I would walk here because I always felt safe here Its where I bought my ps2 from something that gave me comfort in a really bad time of my life. Negative experience: Went in to “shop around” for my 8-year-old son and maybe get him a game or toy if he found something he liked. Upon entering the store, there was a table that had a huge sign that read “Holiday Sale” 40% off for everything on the table- board games, a few Xbox and PS4 games were on it, etc. Found a ‘Stranger Things’ monopoly board game and was so excited. After taking it to the register, the employee tells me that it is no longer on sale and is back to its normal price of $39.99. So I asked - if it was not on sale any longer why were there still items on the holiday sale table-and the sign still up....? His response was that “the sale must have just ended”. I asked if a manager would give us the sale price since it was still sitting there advertised that way.....his response...he was the manager and there was nothing he could do. Disappointed and aggravated that they would not honor the “sale” for the items on the table when it was clearly displayed that way. My daughter then found a $54 PS4 game that was on sale for $24.99 and he informs us that yes, that game was on sale. However, it was the last night for the sale and they didn’t have any in stock so “If I wanted it- I could hurry over to the next closest GameStop to get it because they closed in 15 minutes”. Will not ever shop at that GameStop again.

Negative experience: I purchased a pre-owned Xbox One S. The system was faulty. I returned it for another system. The system I traded it for had a busted trigger on the controller. I did not even bother going back to try to get my money for the busted controller because of all the time I already wasted with this company. Lesson learned: Never ever buy used electronics. And especially don't pay nearly full price for an inferior piece of equipment. Buy new and forget the troubles of dealing with junk. I rated it 2 stars because their games are maybe half off. Other than that, their new off brand controllers are garbage too. What a waste of money. This place is for ignorant young people who like wasting their money. Buy online. Buy new. And Screw GameStop. Ha!
