Negative experience: I have had it with GameStop. I pre-order figures and they either come in VERY late or not at all. The most recent game I pre-ordered I NEVER received a call to tell me it was in. When I came in to find out what happened I was told it was giving away because I "didn't come get it" they act like it's my fault for not getting the call or magically knowing that they had it in. They have taken ZERO responsibility for their lack of action. It's just a "sucks to be you" attitude. At this point I hope this company goes under. They don't deserve to exist

Fantastic experience: I am absolutely done with Gamestop as a company. They shipped my online order with a case missing the game entirely. Then online customer support gave me the runaround, told me to return to the store, even though they literally DON'T DO THAT for missing item returns. The reason this gets a 5 star from me though are the specific employees at this store. The guy at the counter and the store manager went out of their way to work with me to get the refund I was due. No thanks whatsoever to the garbage, incompetent, online support. I believe Shane and Joel were the ones my husband dealt with? Thank you both. You deserve better than this absolute nightmare of a company. Hope you get a chance to find somewhere better to work one day. Thank you for all your help.

Fantastic experience: Shane was amazing he helped me with locating a specific Star wars helmet that my boyfriend wanted for his birthday today. He was able to locate the helmet that was available at a store around the corner from where I actually live. He was extremely helpful, friendly and went out of his way to make sure our needs were met.

Fantastic experience: I had such a great experience at this GameStop thanks to Maddie and Danny! Both of them were super awesome, welcoming, and really fun to talk to. They took care of me, were very helpful, and made the whole visit a pleasant experience. It was a huge difference compared to another GameStop location I went to that was absolutely awful. This store definitely stood out in the best way—thank you, Maddie and Danny!

Fantastic experience: Joel & his other coworker (unfortunately didn't catch his name) were a lot of fun to talk to about Superman and Magic the Gathering (Final Fantasy set). I opening some card packs in the store with them, and it just reminded me of the older days when folks went to game stores more often. Great guys, great store, and just a nice experience overall.

Negative experience: Poor communication. I went there yesterday to pick up my pre-order Nintendo Switch 2 When I got there I gotten the news that my switch 2 was sold to someone else because I wasn't there during the 48 hour peroid. I told the employee on a phone call that I could get it then because I was out of town during the 48 hour peroid. The employee never told anyone else about so now I have to wait another week just to get it.

Negative experience: Got a new collectors edition game that was the last copy. I thought the clerk put everything in the box when he put the disc in it. I get home and i was missing all extra content. Don't live near the mall, so I called to double check on the colector edition goods and never heard back.

Negative experience: I bought an hdmi cord for $16 on a Friday, realized it was the wrong item, and then went to take it back on Saturday - receipt in hand and still sealed. The employee there couldn't figure out how to return it and couldn't figure out how to give me store credit, so he refused to do anything for me. ALSO - i wrote into gamestop's customer service (because you can only email them) and NEVER heard back. I would rather order what I need online or in a place like target than go to another gamestop.

I used to go there quite a bit with my young son so he could play his games. they haven’t changed much which is kind of refreshing. Negative experience: It’s fine. Some of the employees are nice. They don’t really turn over their stock as much as they used to. I’d also recommend against pre-ordering here. I did so a while back, and never got a call that my ordered item came in. After a couple days it was sold out from under me, and I couldn’t get my money back unless I called their customer service phone number (which, currently eight days after calling, I still haven’t gotten). UPDATE: 23 days later, I called customer service back, and found that the initial offer was “not approved” (again, no communication with me). After another twenty minutes, I was sent a gift card for $10 toward my next online purchase.

Negative experience: Won't be back here again. Thursday, July 20, 11:20 ish AM the husband went in to purchase a game. He was in there at least ten minutes and when he came out, he came out empty handed, angry that the kid behind the counter was more interested in talking to other kids in there and digging Funko Pops out of boxes, (the kids weren't purchasing anything, they were just wasting time) than tending to my husband...STANDING AT THE COUNTER...and the $60 game he had in his hand. He completely ignored my husband in favor of showing the kids the Funko's. If this kid doesn't want to do his job, he needs to be fired in favor of someone who A) actually wants to work and B) doesn't let $60 sales walk out the door. How many others have walked out? Y'all might want to think about that.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience when I was in a rush to quickly pickup gift cards I needed that day. Both employees stopped what they were doing to make sure they greeted me (which never happens anywhere anymore). The woman working then came over to ask if I needed help and proceeded to show me where the cards were by walking over to them. I had further questions about Nintendo Switches to help make a decision on my purchase and she answered all of my questions and was very informative. I didn’t get the name of the employees working but both were clearly well informed and put the customers first. I was at the store on 3/17 around 12:30.

Fantastic experience: I always love coming to Game Stop, although one thing I always notice in every store I visit.....every Gamestop store is always unusually warm or stuffy, and the poor employees are usually sweating. I, myself, have worked retail, and I know the difficulties of being on my feet all day and having to deal with not having an AC unit that either doesn't work properly or isn't accessible from inside the store. Corporate managers, please do something for your employees on that. Especially during the holidays when they work extra and stores are packed. Otherwise, thanks to all for what you all do. We love you guys.

Negative experience: meh. Gamestop used to be a required stop on every mall visit. Now.. it's just another square hole filled with things I can get elsewhere at a much cheaper price. There's nothing special about Gamestop anymore.

Positive experience: Run by apathetic late teens and early twenty somethings. No real need for physical copies any more. Decent selection of game related gifts, and hit or miss with hardware. Doesn't suck, but I wouldn't ever make a trip, just to go there.

Fantastic experience: I don’t normally do this but I feel that when someone goes above and beyond with their performance in their job role, it should be recognized. If I’m being honest, I don’t think GameStop is all that great of a company overall, especially the executive team. I know how your employees are treated and I don’t agree with it. That’s the main reason I’m writing this, because the fact that your employee, Will, at the CountrySide mall location in Clearwater, FL still gave me a level of customer service that far exceeds a great many other places that I have been recently even while working for a company that doesn’t appreciate their people. It also speaks volumes for Will’s character as a person. Months prior, I had pre-ordered the Razer Halo bundle (Keyboard, mouse & mousepad) from this GameStop. The pieces started coming in 1 at a time and I would get a call one week for the mousepad, then a call for the mouse. Then some time went by and I hadn’t gotten a call about the keyboard even though they had been in stock a lot of other places. So a couple weeks ago, I went into the CountrySide location asking about this. Will didn’t know why this was the case because other GameStops had the keyboard. He took a few minutes, then he was able to call around and find the keyboard for me. Usually when that’s the option, the customer has to go and pay at the other location. Will was able to set up that I pay in his location and then do a pick up at the other location that was in Citrus Park. Tom was the manager there and he was fantastic as well. I was able to go in and pick up the keyboard with no issues. I want to say thank you to both Will and Tom for the absolutely fantastic experience overall from both locations. I hope you guys actually recognize both of these employees and just don’t discard this message as it comes in because they deserve YOUR recognition as well as mine. Please stop treating your hardworking people like garbage. It’s the holidays!!

Negative experience: The employees at this GameStop could care less to help you if your transaction is more than a a fast normal transaction, I went to trade in a game and they tried to charge me a refurbished fee even tho the disc is perfect then was lied to saying that she would change it as she continued to make me finalize the transaction, then the thumb print scanner would not scan my thumb to take the trade, instead of giving me an alternative they just flat out told me they can’t take my trade. Poor training and customer service you guys could do better…

Positive experience: The countryside mall / westshore mall continues to be a staple in the area, even with the pandemic closing a few of the stores and restaurants. This GameStop had the same energetic, informative, and helpful staff as they usually do. Although we weren't able to find exactly what we were looking for, we were directed on where to find it.
