Experiencia negativa: Had a horrible experience at this location i came back to return a few games and the cashier who sold me the games said they were BRAND NEW and put them in this case that looked used. I eventually decided to return the games since I found them cheaper somewhere else. The same cashier told me that I can't return them because it was brand new and it was already opened. That doesn't make any sense to me because he said they were brand new and put them in a used case, not to mention I never used the games and I never got to put them into my gaming console so how is that opening it. The last time the games were open was when that SAME CASHIER open the cases and put the disc's in there claiming they were brand new. He should've at least told me that before I bought the games instead of waiting my time. Trading them in was the only option I had since I didnt want to keep them but he only offer me less then what I paid for. So I basically just wasted a lot of money that I wont be able to get back. This has to be the stupidest policy I have ever heard of. I'm not doing business with gamestop anymore if this is how they treat their customers. Go to Best Buy, Target or Walmart instead.
Experiencia fantástica: Thank you Sean and Carlos for helping get my Switch 2 connected to the internet, even after being told by both Cox and Nintendo support there was something wrong with it. They gave me the right information to get things connected while I continued to troubleshoot the issue. Carlos suggested there was some security setting that can cause issues with nintendo consoles, even when my other devices could connect. I am happy to report that I finally found a work around to get online (and now know more about router/modem settings and security features than I ever wanted to). Thanks for saving me the hours of continued frustration I would have had with a replacement, the shipping handling fees of trying to get nintendo to fix it, and waiting 2-3 weeks for them to ultimately tell me there was actually nothing wrong. I will definitely be back to shop!

The store leader, Mike, was unhelpful and gave me a runaround with excuses: first, he said there wasn’t enough cash for a refund, then it might take a week, then the internet was down so it might not even be possible. He also claimed the “free” pro membership couldn’t be refunded—if it’s free, why is there anything to refund? Mike showed zero problem-solving skills; I had to suggest putting the refund on my debit card myself. He even said it was “weird” to return a console. Another employee rudely jumped in to back him up. Then he refused me service for calling him out on his poor customer service. These guys are literal children. Poor customer service and no solutions—avoid this store! 2/5 stars is generous

Experiencia negativa: I felt that that Team Leader / Manager was trying to discourage me from making multiple purchases without buying a Pro Membership because he said it would “hurt” their “numbers.” I decided to take my business elsewhere. I find it rude and very unprofessional to try guilt your customers about your sales quotas.
Experiencia negativa: Switched over to GameStop for PSA grading. On my 3rd batch of grading now and many of my slabs come back with scratches all over the outside. Some with deep scratches. Probably gonna stop using GameStop. Or maybe try one last batch at another store. Bit ridiculous tho.

I walked out because if didn't I would have went over the counter and knocked his teeth out. I have been here several times, NO MORE !! They are rude every time. This is a Zero star gamestop . Can't wait to see this place fold. I hope i run into this guy somewhere.

Experiencia negativa: came in today to do a return on a game, knowing full well I was going to get a credit and stuff. handled everything well with return no problems with that. the problem i had was that the store manager and worker that was with him today 'quietly' talk about me thinking I did not heard, about how basically dumb I was on leaving the seal on and trying to get a full refund back and stuff. YALL CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT! come on now if your going to 'quietly' talk about someone at least do it when I leave the store or in the back, not while they're still on the store floor. Experiencia negativa: Came in yesterday to swap out my old Xbox controller for a refurbished one was reassured the controllers that they sold preowned were inspected and looked over. Got the controller home fired it up and the blue X button was sticking and the controller was dirty buyer beware they don’t even clean the controllers before they take them in on trade and resell them. The gentleman that sold me the controller’s name is Stas he basically laughed when I said I would send in a review about my experience and put his hands up and went. “Oh wow I’m really scared”. Then I ask him the store manager‘s name was and apparently his name is Mike and he’s gonna be in sometime tomorrow. GameStop has fallen in customer service and this location is a prime example of it. You want horrible customer service come here.

Also I don’t like the funko pop collection, very disappointing + i haven’t gotten a single good Pokémon deck from their mystery packs. Experiencia negativa: The store opens at 10:00 am on Saturdays. Today is Saturday, at 10:00 am the store wasn't open until we started heading back to our car. They guy who is very unknowledgeable and a bad attitude works there, open the doors when he saw us leave. We were unwelcome entering the store and when asked about game selections, the Game Stop employee was very unprofessional and didn't provide us alternative options to purchase. The location is convenient but we will not be coming back to this location.

Had to receive a talking to like I was 10 years old because I didn’t have a physical copy of my ID, and a 15 minute over-explanation just to finally get my game. Not impressed with this location and don’t plan on coming back.

Once I got there it's an empty store and he's not doing ANYTHING behind the counter. He was a nice guy tho 3/5 stars Edit: I have raised my review to 5/5 Stars because ever since I've dealt with this GameStop since my first interaction(listed above) I've had the immense pleasure of being taken care of by a wonderful woman named Lavender. She is incredibly quick to answer the phone, Always happy to help, provides quick and accurate information and is always willing to go the extra step in helping you with whatever you need. She's absolutely great and makes this GameStop a pleasure to do business with. This location should be very proud/Happy they have an employee like her! 10/5 starts Great place to shop for games!!!! Edit #2: EVERY TIME I've tried to call their phone "isn't working " and I've given up trying to use this store. It's a mile away but I gladly drive 5 miles farther to not deal with their B.S.

Experiencia fantástica: Socks that most games tops no longer carry 360 games. This game stop was a pretty decent size and the employees were very nice and very knowledgeable.
Experiencia negativa: I had pre ordered a game a month in advance, i was told multiple different times that we can pick it up which was overall confusing. When I eventually did go to pick it up the worker said if i want the game I would have to have been to the store prior that day which I had. Then proceeded to tell me they needed to verify my purchase which i had already made, the problem with this is that he was the one i talked to that day and did not verify it. It is a small thing but it is a big annoyance and for now on i will stick to purchasing games online.

Experiencia negativa: I normally stick to my local GameStop but had to go to this location to pick up a quick birthday gift. All the GameStops I been to would do a military discount. The clerk here told me corporate isn't doing military discounts anymore because people were taking advantage of the discounts. I been to other GameStops afterwards and still got a military discount. I asked about this new policy from corporate and they said they never heard such things. If a store doesn’t offer a military discount its not a big deal. There was no need to lie about corporate not doing military discounts anymore.

Experiencia positiva: Not a bad location but seldom ever have what you are looking for regarding PlayStation games, etc. They seem to busy too even make the effort to assist which is a huge deterrent for continued business. Especially when you are potentially considering spending upwards of hundreds of dollars in the endeavor. Is it any wonder that they are fading from the spotlight when they should be in its stead basking in it? Hmm, I shudder to think and took my business elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I was very unhappy when I went in this store I am in a wheelchair and the aisles was not handicap accessible I could barely fit my wheelchair through and didn’t feel like I was welcome there but when this game I got wasn’t in a case they did give me a blank case which was the surprising part that’s why I gave a 2 star I won’t be going back to this GameStop location!

Ricky is great at his job, but its impossible to take care of the phones and the customers simultaneously. I should have called because that was priority at this store.

The dude inside ignored me and was on his phone, not even cleaning. Went to another gamestop that actually wanted my business.

Experiencia negativa: People working were like high on tranquilizers. Had to explain 5 times what we wanted and what we needed. Took guy 3 times to get the transaction right on the register. Spent an hour having to virtually the guys job for him myself. Had to get multiple refunds as I was told one price and after he ran transaction on my card, it said a higher price. I know times are different and tough, but people still need to do their jobs and properly. Otherwise why show up to work? Its time for people all ages to wake up and start doing more and trying harder in everything they do. A little effort goes a long way in so many facets of life!
Experiencia fantástica: This gamestop is a nice place to find decorations for your rooms at home and filled with a lot of games from many systems. If you want a PS5 you have to pre-order online to get one so don't expect to buy on in-store anytime soon.

We showed up more then 30 minutes before the POSTED closing time of 10 PM and the gate was down and lights were off. Encountered an employee outside who informed me that "they closed at 8 because they're a strip mall" (90 minutes earlier) just admit it dude you closed early don't lie about it.

Which could have been avoided if they bothered answering the phones! Luckily Fallout games is just a few miles away and they have a better selection of used games anyways.

Today around 445pm tried to go in 2 employees were at the counter inside with a locked door and a sign saying be back in a half hour with no time-stamp for that statement.

A sign is posted stating they’re doing “deep cleaning on the hour, for 30 minutes” but the employees are standing at the registers. Which is it? Can’t be open and closed. And I’m by myself, so it doesn’t affect the 10 person limit.
Experiencia positiva: This is a pretty good store. Sometimes the staff have been a bit weird, but the customer service is still o.k.. Can become a bit busy inside.. If you ever have an issue or question, definitely call the store. They can be very knowledgeable and helpful about anything regarding gaming.

Also they use tape to seal the game case which is really hard to come off and destroys the game case! Just use price matching and buy your games somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: A Hispanic gentleman about 5'10" very rudely closed the door in my face rather than finish assisting me. All I wanted to ask him was since he said he couldn't take my debit card as payment even running it as credit, which is plausible but unlikely, was how long it would take to buy online and pickup from that location. I called into the store when he refused to help and asked him name, he refused to give it, and he was not wearing a name tag. I will never shop at this location again and hesitate to support any GameStop after being a loyal customer since the store chain began who has purchased thousands of dollars in games and all 3 generations of multiple Xbox systems. I have 5 systems purchased from GameStop in my house right now. Afterwards I went to Walmart and they got my money for the game I simply wanted to purchase. This was after I watched him turn away two other customers in a similar fashion with a similar attitude. He simply didn't want to do his job. He is lazy, confrontational, and rude if I was his boss I'd fire him. This happened at 5pm on 04/29/20

Experiencia negativa: Okay I returned a game with my brother and there was this one purple-haired girl working the counter who literally rolled her eyes when I asked her if I could get a refund on a game I got. And then when I was walking out the door she actually said, in a relatively loud voice, "Finally...". Seriously. What type of people does this GameStop hire? I didn't catch her name (she didn't really deserve any recognition aside from being a nuisance), but I hope that if any maintenance/manager sees this post, she gets reprimanded at the very least. What a disappointment.

Experiencia negativa: Bought a used star wars game for 54 bucks, with a 20 dollar trade in and 37 dollars on my card, it was defective kept glitching and freezing, so i brung it back wanted money back they didn't give me all my money instead 37 cash and a 19 dollar card for store credit, mind u i had an email saying they will pay me 20-25 dollars for my game i was bringing in, OK so i bit the bullet, then i use the card to but this game called Detroit, and took it home and the game didn't even wanna load soon as it got the 4min marl it said error, smh so i wiped it off, cleaned it real good and it finally loaded but then after the beginning scene it cut off with error, I'm done with this location, their games are broke, their even selling games for 4-8 bucks that are not working properly or broke smh unbelievable, and the cashiers pretend to be friendly and nonchalant, going get my 20 bucks back, but feel i should be awarded more for my stress and time
Experiencia fantástica: So I bought a power ranger helmet and the lady from staply and us 60 bs me saying she can’t return it when it was missing parts in the first place and because of some scratches but it was the display model ,so I came to the Tempe location and my home boy miles returned it and delivered great customer service!!!! And refunded the helmet with a new one made my day big shout out to miles best employee there

Instead of mailing the damaged discs by return mail, I took an opportunity that my local GameStop could solve the situation which was perfectly resolved thanks to Stan. He is a conscientious employee who performs what is required in any situation that may come up. I gave my local GameStop a well deserved 5 STARS.

I later went to the store and there were flyers saying they would take vintage consoles and games. Then we waited and line and got up to the regestier and told them we were trading in the console and games and we called ealier. They said they couldnt find it on the sytems and they would not trade it in. We were in that store for over thirty mintutes. Worst costmer service.

IMMEDIATELY left store WILL NOT RETURN to this location. Went to a different location much friendlier staff there and got a good deal on store credit. RUDE EMPLOYEE OBVIOUSLY NEED SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING!!!!

I grabbed two Xbox one games priced at $14.99 and another $13.99. I one of these two games because it very clearly advertised any two games $14.99 and under are $20. when I got to the counter the employee wanted to charge me the full price of $34.XX. I pointed out to him the advertised sale he went and looked at the sign and told me but they don't qualify. I asked the employee does the price have to be $14.98? Experiencia fantástica: Great store, great staff. They helped me find exactly what I needed (an Xbox 360 power supply, and there are about 6 kinds) and walked me through how to find the one I needed. I’ll definitely be shopping here again.
Experiencia negativa: I am done with these guys, no customer service, rude employees, and when you bring something back, for instance a controller that you've just bought and doesn't work, they apparently delete your account for the trouble.
Experiencia fantástica: Although gamestop can be a bit pricey, It's a good place and they are going to have what you need. Give em a chance. In my personal opinion they are a business and they won't realistically do absolutely everything you want them to do, so give them a little bit of leg room and please don't give any attention to the video from gamestop in Albuquerque. Take it easy.
Experiencia negativa: Its nothing more than a place to experience the living breathing equivalent of the comic book guy from the Simpson's. Dont go in there unless you are a teen with severe acne or an adult who hasnt gotten out of that phase.
Experiencia fantástica: My grandson was shopping for a game and I had no idea what i was in for, but the sales person took over and treated my ten year old grandson like he was a grown up with professional service all the way from finding his game, cashier to out of the door. Thanks Game Stop for letting me hang back to watch you do your best work.
