The lady was super friendly and I ask her if they knew of anyone that’s currently working that’s played granturismo and then jrone answered the phone and was able to give me some tips. Thank you jrone for helping me out. Then I called back to see how to spell drones name Mori told me he couldn’t tell me. They said they can’t give that information out. I asked mori if he was one of the managers and he said yes. And he said sorry about that . Just weird they can’t give the information out to customers on how a workers name is spelled for a review .
Experiencia negativa: Javi gave me a terrible service today. I came today to trade in my ps5 to which I ended up having to go to a different location where I did not struggle as much as the assistance Javi provided today. One thing to note, instead of using the designated computer to test my console, instead, he plugged it into one of the TVs and proceeded to sign into his personal account IN MY CONSOLE. As the original ps5 model includes a glossy finish, it was reflecting superficial scratches, to which he told me he wouldn’t buy it in the condition it was and proceeded to offer me $100. I understand that each store has policies they must follow, but this employee clearly did not have the intention to assist me in a fair manner. After visiting the Tempe Marketplace GameStop now I happily own a new console thanks to the employee not exaggerating over a scratch on a product that is 5 years old and was FULLY functional.
Experiencia negativa: Black Friday deal wasn’t explained correctly and when we asked in the front why 3 funkos were still $30 bucks in total, when it states on the shelves buy 2 get 1 free and all funkos $15 or less are now $10.. it should have been $20 plus tax for 3.. all he said (tall skinny Caucasian) was “I don’t know” and shrugged his shoulders.. I don’t care about the price but don’t be rude when the day before he said the deals stack.$10 each plus the buy 2 get 1 free.
Experiencia negativa: I bought 2 brand new controllers for my daughter’s PS4. She had 3-4 old ones that simply wouldn’t connect. Well, we couldn’t get the 2 brand new ones to connect either (even after following tips from a ton of videos). I figured there’s probably issues with the console itself and decided to go ahead and upgrade to a new PS5 as a late birthday/early Christmas gift to her. So I box up the 2 new controllers and my receipt and head back to GameStop planning to return them and pick up a PS5. The GameStop employee tells me that I can’t return them for full value, that the best they could offer is 25% of full price. Good thing I didn’t buy the damned extended warranty!! I understand it’s not the employee’s decision. He was perfectly friendly, but this policy is terrible!! I had those controllers for about 3 hours. I’ll try to sell them online I guess… GameStop, you’ve lost me forever as a customer. Now I’m on my way to BestBuy to pick up a new PS5.

Experiencia negativa: The staff can be very helpful during my visits. However, be aware on new video game releases. I just wanted to purchase Battlefield 6 today since it was release day. However they flat out told me they didn’t have any copies in stock. I’ve never been flabbergasted in my life. The local game store had BF6 in stock at least. I didn’t think I’ll ever purchase games at GameStop for awhile after today.

Experiencia negativa: Edit: the staff is always late and never open on time. The staff is usually really rude and sound like they don’t even want to be there. If I could give this place negative reviews, I would. I was really excited to get my first cards graded and I thought GameStop would be a perfect place to start. I’m a little worried after a week of waiting for them to be shipped and nothing happening. I was told they’d be shipped on Monday, but my order is showing that it’s still at the store. When I tried to ask about my cards, whoever answered the phone was rude and seemed annoyed at me asking when my cards, which I paid $200 for grading, would get sent out. He insisted it would be at the end of the day on Monday, but now it’s Thursday and they still haven’t been shipped. I really hope this gets through to the employee. I’m just really excited. Those cards I brought in are my favorite cards and I feel like this whole experience, which was already nerve racking, is now unnecessarily more nerve racking.
Experiencia negativa: Will never come to this game stop ever again. The guy working on May 18th around 6:58PM Was rude when i asked about Pokemon cards. I came in to grade cards, but how he reacted to me asking if they had any cards to sell was rude said "You guys asking for pokemon cards all come and say the same things." Then started to rant about how people ask for card's, then he tried to be polite after I said I was coming to here grade cards, but since he was rude for no reason I have no trust that he would take care of my order in a respectful, responsible manner due to the rude introduction.
Experiencia negativa: Black dude with the Naruto headband has 0 customer service skills. I asked if they had a figure instock that was released to today and asked if he could check and see if another store has it so he begrudgingly looks. Then I just made sure he spelled it right cause he asked again what the item was after I gave him the phone. He flips it around with an attitude and says see no one has it. Like I can instantly read the screen that was also upside down. So instead of buying another figure I just left. Pretty rude, he also doesn't wear a name tag and I see why so you can't complain about him by name.
Experiencia negativa: Javier sold me a product he claimed would work better than the product I came in for and I asked him numerous times if it would work on my Xbox the same way as the storage chip and he said it did and when I get home it doesn’t work and now I can’t return it because their return policy won’t allow it

Told the dude game probably wasn't working because of my disc drive and then just gave me another disc, like cool thanks for another thing that isn't gonna work. Waste of time. He was complaining about how he was giving me the last copy they had and it's like, well you wouldn't have to do that if u just exchanged it for a digital code (item of lower value) for the physical one so I can actually play the game but thanks for listening to my Ted talk.

They tell you to come to the store to resolve issues but refuse to do anything to fix their own mistakes / lack of training.

Experiencia negativa: I feel like GameStop is going downhill. I recently traded in Final Fantasy 16 and only got 15 bucks for it and it’s a pretty new game. They’re still selling it used for over 40 bucks. Even with my pro membership, an extra 20% trade-in credit my five dollar coupon I still ended up paying $37 for dragons dogma two. I just feel like I used to get more from my trade-ins and pay less for games when it was all said and done. I feel like they’re milking us folks.
Experiencia negativa: wouldn't take my games because they were sealed and i came back later with them unsealed and she wouldn't take them because she knew they were sealed at one point. like yes, all games are sealed at one point? not a good experience. don't sell your games here, not worth it.

Experiencia negativa: Very well stocked store, clean. However an employee was extremely rude. I was trying to look at the Pokémon merchandise and said excuse me so I could get a little closer. She said I wasn't allowed back there, I asked I was just trying to stand in the spot she was so I could actually see the prices and product she repeated I wasn't allowed. Even though it was not behind the counter nor was I trying to go behind. She was too busy on the phone talking about her day playing games. Extemely rude when I was trying to purchase, but not even allowed close enough to look or get her full attention as she's chatting on the phone.

Experiencia negativa: Went in to my local GameStop looking to add some collectibles to my collection specifically the new tsunade hokage funko pop, i walked in seen they did indeed receive some and i couldn’t reach so i asked the lady if i can see about 2-3 and compare the boxes because i don’t wanna pay for a beat up box, she replied with i guess with some attitude and then said I’ll give you two as if she thought i was going steal them or walk out with them, so i looked and didn’t even feel comfortable because not too long after security walked in coincidentally, and you know i didn’t feel comfortable as a young black male, felt profiled and so i just took the most decent one even thought i didn’t get to check the rest because i was irritated at that point. Checked out and then she asked for my phone number and for me to confirm the name as if she didn’t believe it was my account, no other cashier or associate at this location asks that, but i ended up leaving and not too long after i walked out security walked out, Thank you for making my shopping experience great ️

This is not a good place to try to sell your used games. They sell them to you 40 bucks and then give you back a $4 store credit for them

Experiencia negativa: I love gamestop but I do not like this location. Every time I shop at this store there’s an issue. Today I went in to use my $5 pro credit and wanted to partake in the 4/$20 game deal. After getting to the register with the 4 games I chose he first told me one of them was new and couldn’t be part of the deal… ok no big deal I’ll pick another game. Then he tells me metal gear solid V one of the main games I wanted is not part of the deal either. At this point I’m beyond frustrated as I’m slowly having to replace every game I picked out because they aren’t part of the deal even though they are in the 4/$20 bin. They should have made it right and honored the price they advertise instead of having me pick other games. I cancelled the transaction and left.

Experiencia positiva: This is usually the GameStop I go to. Now that my collection has gotten bigger I don't find many games on my wishlist. Their selection seems to be low. But the staff is always friendly and super helpful. I never had a bad experience with any of them and I have been going to this GameStop for years. Edit: 2022 management in the store has changed for the worse. They are still friendly but very unhelpful. The manager lied to me about one of their policies because he was to lazy to deal with it.

Experiencia negativa: Purchased a PS5 bundle at this location. After a back and 4th disagreement with the store manager he decided to honor my return. New and factory sealed with receipt I might add. 5 minutes later I get a phone call from him saying he spoke with his District Manager stating that he cannot accept my return. I asked him what changed? And he told me he wasn't allowed to disclose any information that was discussed between him and his District Manager. Extremely poor customer service and unprofessional to withhold information from a customer. Like many of you I spend large amounts of money with GS and to be treated this way is absolutely appalling. Buyers beware with you're returns, as to they will not honor it even if it literally just came off the shelf. Oh EB Games and Babbages, how you are dearly missed.

Experiencia negativa: Walked in and the two girls at the counter didn’t even acknowledge me and my sister. They were gossiping about boys and i had to go up to them and interrupt their gossip session for help and they gave us attitude the entire time like we were bothering them. After they pointed out where something was they went back to gossiping again and i had to interrupt them again to get the product out of the case for us. It’s a job, instead of ignoring customers and gossiping maybe do your job and customer service. Go ahead and conversate but AT LEAST check in on the customers and acknowledge them when they come into the store. It’s just basic human decency.

Experiencia negativa: This has been the song worst GameStop experience of my life all started by Bryan tech # 282148. I went to exchange my warranty items as I always purchase the warranty. I have been to other GameStop’s in the past who will allow you store credit if they don’t have the items. This day Bryan must have already been having a bad day. As a manager of multiple companies I know when an employee is burnt out. This dude does not like or care about his job when he told my he didn’t have my items on 01/14/21 I asked if I could use the credit towards a different remote. He sarcastically asked me if I knew what a warranty was? I advised him to not take that tone with me as I have done this with other GameStop’s in the past. He forced me to have items shipped. Then one of my items wasn’t available anymore so he offered me an upgrade that had to be shipped and not one in store. I accepted even though that was very hypocritical of the situation. That was 01/14/21. It is now 03/24/21. I received one remote and was told the other items where lost in the storm. I was told to reach out to support where I spoke with Pedro. Pedro said he seen the items where not in stock but we would escalate and I would have to wait 3 days for a call back. That was 3/16 no call. Here I am 3/24 speaking with first a Luis who was 0 help and told me my order didn’t exist. Who connected me to a supervisor Maria who told me a gift card was issued that day and used more than likely by Bryan. So now I am out $120 with the hopes that someone will reach out in 3 days. Do not by warranty from this store in fact DO NOT SHOP HERE. The Tempe market place store is the best store. I will make the extra drive to go there as for Bryan I hope you find a different job, and thanks for making a company I always loved ugly to me. You are a horrible representation to all of frontline and I hope life humbles you one day.

She instantly knew exactly what I was talking about and had me taken care of quickly. She's very personable which made me feel welcome and comfortable in my environment. I wish every place i went to had someone like Brandi. Kudos to her.
