Experiencia negativa: Always had issues with this location at gamestop. Pre ordered a game that was supposed to come with an exclusive. A whole lot of people didn’t get the item, I was called saying they finally got very minimal copies a week or so after it was released. Then proceeded to tell me I would have to wait a few days just to be able to buy the game to get the exclusive item. Horrible from the people at that location as well and the company for producing very little when it was supposed to be guaranteed for most people.

Experiencia negativa: I am writing to express my concern regarding a recent purchase I made on July 3rd. The item I bought did not function as intended, making it effectively unusable. As a result, I visited your Stapley location and attempted to return the product. Unfortunately, my experience at the store on july 9th was disappointing. One of the staff members appeared uninterested in understanding my issue and simply repeated the store’s return policy without any effort to engage or assist. The policy in question states, “New products that have been opened are not eligible for return or exchange.” While I understand the importance of return policies, this particular clause feels unfair and highly anti-consumer, especially when a product is only discovered to be faulty after being opened and tested. I also contacted your corporate support line, hoping to escalate the issue. However, the representative I spoke with was unhelpful and repeated the same message without offering any real assistance or escalation options. Despite calling the store and being told by a manager that I could return the item for store credit, I was again denied this option when I returned on July 10th. As a long-time customer of over 15 years, this experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I feel I have not only lost money on a non-functional product, but also valuable time trying to resolve this issue. I am respectfully requesting either a full refund or store credit as a resolution. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope we can resolve it promptly and fairly.

Experiencia negativa: I used to go to this Gamestop store for a awhile. The last two times the customer service has been really bad. I asked the sales associate once about pre ordering a switch 2. He told he waited at work when they live and order directly from the store before anyone else. This time I had questions about the switch 2 and it seemed he did not want to be there. That is fine. The one on stapley and the one on Ray road were a lot more professional. I will be driving out to do my shopping from now on

No need for 20 questions. Plus I think there's a skimmer at this location cause both my cards ended up fraudulent charges a month later.

Experiencia negativa: Avoid shopping here if you can! stopped by with my brothers to purchase a PS5 Pro and they had one of my brothers standing in line for over 15 minutes without being assisted. Then another customer walked in trying to sell a gaming CD and was immediately assisted by a younger staff member. Afterwards the worker didn’t bother to ask if we needed any help and just walked away. We left and went to a different store to purchase.

Experiencia negativa: I purchased a brand new PS5 controller with a 2 year warranty a little over a year ago. When I purchased the warranty their policy was if it stopped working or developed problems they would exchange it for a new controller. They changed their policy between then and now and you get a used controller instead. I would not have wasted my money on a warranty if I had known their policy would change making the warranty basically not worth it and screw everyone over. Why would I spend extra money on a warranty on a NEW controller, so if it defects, they replace it with a used one? How does that make sense to anyone. If you need a controller go buy one from Walmart, get their warranty, if you need an exchange they will take it and not give you a used controller because they don't sell used controllers. I've been a customer of GameStop since I was about 12 years old. I'm 33 now. Won't be back again. I'll spend my money elsewhere from now on and I recommend you do the same.
Experiencia negativa: Very rude staff, I went to buy an Xbox controller for a birthday gift, and the controller was marked at $ 79 dollars. When I was about to pay, they said it was $ 99 dollars. They said it was on sale, but not anymore. They didn't bother to change the sticker and didn't honor the price tag, ignoring Arizona requirements on pricing errors.

Experiencia negativa: Bait and switch con artists, I was excited when pre-ordering a product, I was informed that supplies may be limited but, they'd alert me when they arrived however, I checked with the store a few days later and found out, not only had they not informed me of it's release, they in fact didn't have the product that I pre-ordered, the cashier was pleasant but, that doesn't excuse the blatant bait and switch routine done by either the manager or the other employee I placed my pre-order with. I will not be going to GameStop for any more pre-orders.

You could pay $56 for a used game that just came out instead of paying $60 for it brand new. They're trade-in values are not very good, they always give you a better price if they give you store credit so you end up losing a lot of money if you sell games to them.

Experiencia negativa: Just tried to go in and purchase a couple of game cards for my kids and was rudely told they were closed. It was 12:45pm. There were already 2 people in line and I just asked if I could just quickly grab some game cards the the person working refused to accommodate my request. I had already been to 2 other stores that didn’t have what I was looking for. Wasn’t even given the opportunity to see if they even had them. Was just told to leave. This used to be a great store, my kids even enjoy going to this specific store. Used to go out of my way to visit this location.

Experiencia negativa: After over a year tried going in to make a purchase but was told there was a limit so asked if I could do multiple transactions or maybe purchase from a different store the clerk that I was talking to implied that might be possible but wouldn't do it themselves because, said in a more roundabout way, it's not their job and they don't have to. Went to the Wal-Mart across the way and while they also had a limit they still let me make the purchase with multiple transactions. Customer service is always been poor with GameStop and now it looks like it's reaching the store personnel as well. This will be the last time I ever go to a GameStop. Seriously disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: SCAMMERS READ ALL. Bought a bundle which wasn't a bundle. Standard console w controller. Upon buying the "bundle" sales associate told me it comes w one accessory that I need to pick. I got a controller and game expecting to pay for 1as she told me 1 comes w the "bundle. After leaving on the receipt showed I played for both iteams including the one she said comes w "bundle". Reported on line saying i feel like I was hustled manager called me told me I misunderstood and it doesn't matter what sales associate said. He said its a bundle that if I don't like one of the iteams I can pick one I like in exchange for the other iteam I don't like and that determines the bundle value. Then he said "they wouldn't pocket the money". Due to my statement of being hustled. I wonder why he said that, a guilty conscience. Moral of the story is sales associate and manager told me two different bundle stories and prices and what the sales associate said and charged me with didn't matter. They are both scamming to get sales. The only reason I didn't return it was cause it was a Christmas present.

Experiencia positiva: Currently (20201226) 16 person limit. Awesome help today as both employees were nice and knowledgeable. Store set up is clean and feels more like general game retail space than old set up that primarily felt like used game store. Lots of extras (not games) now being sold at stores that I will never have any interest in but lots of people do. New game member perk is $5 off anything each month sounds useful. Overall what you would expect of nationwide chain with the exception that the employees were Great not just sub par like expected.

Experiencia negativa: This rating is for gamestop's online contact-free/curbside service. I ordered specifically because they emailed me a promotion about their new curbside feature. It's a joke. I shopped online and finally found a few games that were available at the same location, then had to wait until the next day to pick up, even though is was hours before closing time. When I finally drove to the store to pick up the new games, I was instructed to call when I got there. Then I had to do a google search to look for the correct phone number because it's not on the confirmation email. When I finally called the store to have someone bring my games out to me, the call went directly into an automated menu, I chose to speak to a store member, after about a minute of ringing, no one answered and the automation told me to try back at a later time. So I sat in my car outside Gamestop for about 15 or 20 minutes trying to reach someone inside the store by phone. I ultimately broke down and put on my mask and went inside. From there I got to stand in line for about 15 or 20 more minutes. When it was finally my turn, the gentleman behind the counter was very polite and found my package within seconds, and had me out the door about 1 minute later. The sign on the door asks customers to limit the number of people in the store to no more than 10 at a time but there were lots more than that by the time I finally left, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid by utilizing the contact free purchasing option. Oh well, lesson learned. I'll just buy from amazon or walmart delivery from now on.
