Experiencia fantástica: My first experience here was to sell an unopened Switch game that I had bought for my son and he already had that one. ‍♂️I was able to name a reasonable price to both of us and it was accepted and easy peasy, I was paid within minutes. I think I'll come here First for games for my son next time. Great customer service. Thanks guys. Would definitely recommend this store.

Experiencia positiva: I ran in here just to have a quick look around since I was in the area shopping at other stores. This wasn't my kind of place and honestly it was a little overwhelming being olinside because there's a lot of merchandise and not a lot of space to move around. But if retro media and toys are your jam, you'll probably like it.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give this business no star review I would, I went in yesterday to sell an item, and I walked up to the guy who was working and went to shake his hand. The man didn’t even shake my hand or even really acknowledge me at all. It also offended my friend that was with me that the guy did not shake my hand. He was extremely rude very condescending. He seemed offended that I did not want to gain anymore and just wanted to get rid of my PlayStation 4. I asked him if he sold and bought Yu-Gi-Oh cards he said no he doesn’t deal on them unless like dang man I have a base set one legend of blue eyes PSA 10 card that will knock your socks off if you were interested any basically insulted me about the fact that no Yu-Gi-Oh card not a sock off yet I have the first blue eyes white dragon prints. I will never be going to the store again. I will never recommend the store to anybody. This store is awful

But no, I walked out with $25 on me. I'm going to be honest, I wasn't expecting those games in total being that much for cash value but I will say it definitely made my day. Thank you guys so much.

Experiencia negativa: I was visiting from out of town, cool collectible spot but the nerds working there were the opposite of what uou d expect in a shop like that. So rude, didn’t even break eye contact from his phone, it was like I bothered him by coming in…just ok compared to legends also in town

Experiencia positiva: There is not much variety of Nintendo games and the few I have seen CIB above market price many times or at the same price plus taxes.

Experiencia fantástica: The guy who manages this store is one of the most interesting, well versed, and culturally insightful blokes I've ever come across in the Midwest. He's extremely well-versed in the history of music, movies, action figures, video games, pop culture icons/moments/franchises and his personality, generosity, thoughtfulness and consideration for his customers should encourage you to support a rare gem like him and go out of your way to ensure the success of the business. Not just a buying experience, creates a cultural experience.

Experiencia negativa: I liked to support family stores but not this one. Very rude an act like they dont want to be there. Owner is nice but my god the other guys are bad. Offered a 200$ collector edition in perfect shape an dude said i dont know what it is (you have a computer). I was asking for 60. Went to another family owned store an got 100. Wasted 15mins of my day lookin at computer not doing anything. Also saw them looking at gamestop to see what they are buying for. They are gamestop with a new name. No smile, seemed irritated. Dont care about my money, cool. Ill let everyone know not to go and support. Spend my money elseware.

Experiencia negativa: When I called asking for a video game the guy who answered seemed busy, I could hear him checking out a customer and he checked the computer saying I don't have either one of these in stock. I then asked about the possibility of seeing this video game or if it had been something he has seen in the store before. The remark he made was along the lines of I'm surprised you haven't checked already assuming I haven't looked at the online pricing. Stating that he has been here for 10 years he had thrown that in the conversation so I'm met with the Assumption of why don't you buy it online? Simply enough have you seen this specific video game anytime recently? This is the question I wanted to ask I understand you've been there for 10 years so I would expect that perhaps this information would be a simple yes or no even I'm not sure. I explained that I support local business and don't trust online shopping he quickly interrupts saying do you have any more questions I've got another call on the line! I did have extra questions in regards to purchasing a video game system and other retro games however it seemed I was an inconvenience for asking a question of clarification, a question that would draw me in as a customer to come view products and make purchases. I can understand being overwhelmed with being short-staffed.

Experiencia fantástica: Great place and great deals always finding things I need for my nerdy gaming needs for classic things. Also great deals on game restoration they try there best and that's all I ask thanks again guys.

Experiencia negativa: The place is nice and interesting but one guy there seemed like he was very busy and couldn't help anyone. And when I asked if he had something in stock he was like "unless you look around first" ummmm there's thousands of funko pops and fortunately ur store carries alot of them. If u don't have the one Im specifically looking for I don't want to waste my time. But apparently I guess I'm wasting urs by asking. Then as I'm on my way out a guys was just making conversation with the guy who had helpped me and the cashier answers "is there supposed to be a question?" Bro calm down. Bad days happen to everyone. But service with a smile isn't to hard to do. Might come back but I don't think they'll have what I'm looking for any time soon.

Experiencia negativa: Highly disappointed, I used to adore coming here. I've gotten good deals, found rare items for my collection, gotten rid of collectables I no longer wanted for a decent pay. I can't say after my latest experience that I'd want to return. I brought in a small collection of boxed figures, three of which highly sought after, I know what I had. I was offered maybe 30% of the value, so I backed out and decided to think on it for a week. While I could have sold on eBay, I don't really have the time nor will to deal with all that due to my job. So after sitting on it, I decided to come back and accept that offer. I get it, small business, a local business, they have to make their money too. These figures would give them a good amount. Little did I know upon returning and discussing, one of the guys would make it out as if I were a liar about what was offered. Acting as though I brought a bag of dirt to the counter. He kept pressing as if I were a fool until the, I presume owner, stepped in and went with what was said. However also acting as though I was nothing more than a bother. Frustrated, I wanted the ordeal to be over, these figures to be off my hands, got the cash and went on my way. However, I returned a few weeks to look some older games for systems like the Wii and PS2. I decide to look over at the case where more, usually rarer ones are held, only to see these exact three figures listed for exactly what I knew they were worth and kept stating that they were worth, only to have reactions and responses as if I were stupid. Well over what I got in cash, each figure just a piece will over what I got. I urge folks to not do as I did. Maybe stand your ground, don't feel pressured or hassled, if you have the time, try to sell on Mercari or eBay, maybe even whatnot. I will not be returning, even if I need to free up space and rid of my collectables, I'll find elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I can understand small businesses needing to make a profit off of people’s trade-ins. But to take in multiple items worth over $65+ a piece to then only give $70 for everything, to then resell at over $80 a piece. Scummy behavior.

Experiencia positiva: It is a lot of pop culture packed a little space. Overall it is cool little shop and a blast from the past.

Experiencia positiva: Nice toy store, other then the fact that they didn't have many vintage toys. If you are looking for new toys from this time period, then you have the right location for your likes.

Experiencia fantástica: This place is really cool. Bought a Sega Genesis for my son that was basically brand new and very reasonably priced. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Store is impressively organized. Will be frequenting in the future.

Experiencia negativa: $75 FOR A GAME THAT DOES NOT PLAY!!! Yesterday, July 28th 2024, I went into Pop Culture Exchange and purchased Mario Baseball for the Gamecube. It was in a glass case and we had to ask the employee to get it out. We paid $75 (including tax) for the game, unwrapped and used, which was no problem. The issue with our purchase is when we got home and attempted to play the game, the disc did not work. Today we took it to a different store and paid for it to be resurfaced, which unfortunately did not help, the game still does not play. I find it very unprofessional that this store would sell a game for that amount, unwrapped, without testing it first, especially considering they have a Gamecube in store. For clarification, we did try other discs to make sure the Gamecube was not the issue, and they played fine. We are incredibly disappointed. Be weary purchasing from here.

Experiencia fantástica: Traded in some old Gameboy Advance games and bought my son a GI Joe Snake Eyes action figure. Got an eye roll from the wife, but why not. Son loves it.

Experiencia fantástica: Wasting a little time with my teen daughter as we waited to pick up second daughter when we came upon this small shop. What a blast from the past. Vintage collectibles, video games, posters and more. They had things for every type of budget, from $10 to $500 and more. It was so much fun sharing old memories of my childhood with my daughter. We ultimately bought two posters and a collectible Alice Cooper Funko Pop for my 16 year old. Great experience and will definately be back in the future to see what other treasures we can unearth.

I bought a blockbuster shirt and some dinosaur trading cards. My 3 year old was having so much fun. Everywhere you looked there was something. I'd highly recommend visiting.

Experiencia negativa: This Store was great the first year I started coming here. They have a great selection of items and the prices were really good. I'm an avid toy collector and this place was another place in omaha that i could scratch that figure itch. But one time I showed up on a weekday before work and I was looking and talking to the staff at the cash register but they seem to be a little off that day. I kept coming back though because of the selection but each and almost every interaction with some of the staff got more and more awkward. Recently things haven't improved some of the staff act like they don't know who I am and the transactions are either really awkward or down right rude. As a collector I come to places like this because I would rather support local businesses then go to Target or Walmart. But with the treatment I've been getting from this place from some of the staff it makes me not want to support this place. I'm not trying to start anything or discourage anyone from shopping here I just feel like I have to get my point across

What should have been a simple conversation about value for items I brought in to sale turned into a negative spiral of how Amazon overcharges for sales and how I'm not really going to save money that way. Which isn't true. The conversation became a one sided "eBay and Amazon have secret fees" convo, which, again, isn't true.

A selection of toys and collectibles vintage to modern as well as a large collection of dvd/blu-ray and video games and a small vinyl section. I'm sure there's more I'm missing. The store is always clean and the owner and staff always friendly. The great thing is, you can bring you're kids and everyone can find something to pique their interests!

Experiencia fantástica: Thanks to PCE, I hardly ever get collector items new anymore... I just watch for them to show up here! They have a great selection, worth stopping in on occasion especially if you like Marvel, DC, or Star Wars stuff. They have lots of collectors items, including things like enamel pins and patches, which usually go for way more online. The staff is great and their trade-in program is wonderful, too.

Experiencia fantástica: I like to look for retro things here sometimes. Because there is a wide selection and things I do not expect to see, I end up browsing longer. I bought my first xbox 360 here, as well as a rare ps1 game and a CD I like. If things went wrong with the xbox I could return within 30 days or so. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the inventory. Very kind atmosphere.

The owner took time out of his day to help educate me and wife about how to spot fake game cartridges after we told him about some sour experiences buying DS games on Mercari. And it wasn’t a chore for him! He genuinely cared, which means a lot. The layout of the store is so clean, organized and vibrant. The pop culture collage in the window is awesome. They have a wild collection of rare toys and movies, even a vinyl section with game soundtracks (Sonic Adventure 2 double LP wow). Last time we were in, they had a copy of Metal Gear Solid on Game Boy Color CIB from Brazil. That’s the kind of thing you hope to see at these specialty shops. So fun! Prices are fair and they have new stuff all the time. Great place!
