Negative experience: The store was very clean and organized for the most part. It's been a while since I've been in a Game Stop, so I wanted to reignite the feeling of shopping in a store instead of downloading all my games. Not a single associate asked to help or even spoke to me. The experience of shopping in the store was a huge let down with expectations of customer service. A simple "Hello, can we help you with anything?" goes far with a lot of people.

Negative experience: Straight up scammers. They will put a “protection plan” on your purchase without even asking, how convenient. I asked what it was and the girl at the counter looked at me like I was a moron as I asked her to take it off. This was after waiting in line for 15 minutes. The place in general is such a dump anyway, go literally anywhere else

Negative experience: Was forced to return the defective console through FedEx, although I had a return receipt in store. The reason given was the “computer” was not allowing them to process the refund. Having worked in customer service since birth, I knew that was straight bs. The manager had no people skills and was cold and had the “I don’t like my job” vibes. I asked for the DM’s name, and he acted as if he could not spell Nelson’s last name. Never will I spend a dime with the company ever again.

Negative experience: Reached out to this GameStop, looking for Pokémon shield, and or sword for my 12-year-old for their birthday. My child was very particular about receiving the game with the original case so I reached out to various GameStop locations, with the understanding that it is a six-year-old game. However, when I contacted this location, I was met with an attitude when I was on the phone with a woman, and after asking About their availability for either game I then asked if they had Original cases in stock. The girl then puts the phone down (not on hold) because I didn’t know I was asking for something that was outside of her job description. I heard her say to her coworker begrudgingly “like bro we have the game I’m not looking for a case.” I chose to hang up because she doesn’t understand why I specifically wanted the case, But I guess this is the reason why people shop online

Negative experience: I'm so disappointed in what this store has become. They constantly have a skeletal crew of one person working. They never answer their phones when called, and they never acknowledge online pick up orders. I have an order in limbo cause they never accepted or denied it. Also they're never there! Many times have I gone and there's a note in the window that they will be back in an hour. Which I get it, people need to get food, but to see a two and a half hour be back shortly notice, that's not acceptable. This is ridiculous.

Negative experience: Had the money in hand to purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart bundle and the sales associated attempted to scam me into purchasing a pro membership with GameStop and he didn’t even know the perks that came with the pro membership. When I called another GameStop close by, the associate over the phone told me I did not need to purchase a pro membership. Don’t go to this GameStop. They clearly do not know what they’re doing and they seem like they prefer to scam their customers than to give accurate information.

Negative experience: Incompetent is the best word to describe the people working here. The manager knows absolutely nothing. I been a customer at this location for many years. Seen employee go and come. But the new people managing this store will bring it to ruins. They know absolute nothing about retro. Trading is a disaster here. They accept game trade base on the looks not on functionality.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience at the GameStop in Ridge Hill. The store had a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, and the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. I came in looking for a Nintendo Switch console, and although they were out of stock, the associate went above and beyond by checking their internal inventory system to locate nearby GameStop stores with available stock. Thanks to their quick help, I was able to drive to another location just in time to purchase the console for my son's birthday. Negative experience: Shady place pre-ordered some cards months in advance. They never called to let me know that it had came in and I had to pick it up then when I got there, they told me they already sold what I pre-ordered and that someone called me and I never came to pick it up. On top of it the person working there lied and said well I don’t know. I wasn’t here last month, but he was the person that took care of me. I would definitely go to a different location

Negative experience: I went at opening and it wasn’t even opened (march 22). Online it said it opened at 10 AM but the person opening up the store showed up almost 40 minutes late. The man working the register was rude and had an attitude.

Negative experience: Tried to buy a used game for 29.99. Their computer rang it up as 39.99. Manager says that they don't price match. I showed him his own price label as 29.99. He said that he hadn't gotten around to putting the new price label on yet. I checked amazon, the price of the brand new game is 28.99. Save your money. Don't get price gouged.

Fantastic experience: Great experience versus other locations(avoid Central Park Ave in Yonkers) Here they are informative and I was in and out under 25 min….plus they grade your MLB, NBA, NFL, Pokémon & other trading cards to be PSA graded and worth it…if your a GameStop member. Even better you can trade in any PSA 8,9 and 10 and buy PSA online from GameStop. Best time to go is between 10 AM & 11:30 AM or after 2 PM.

Positive experience: My assessment pertains not to the specific store, but to Gamestop's overall business practices. Their new controller diagnostic app, utilized during system trade-ins, yielded an inaccurate assessment. Despite functionality verification by both myself and a store employee, the app reported minor controller drift, prompting a demand for a $60+ replacement (which I would have had to purchased from them) to proceed with the $13 trade-in. This is unacceptable given the system's full functionality and having them keep both sets of controller ( the one purchased from the and the alleged defaulted ones) This incident, coupled with corporate greed and a lack of customer loyalty, suggests Gamestop's long-term viability is questionable, especially given the rise of digital game downloads. While profit generation is understandable, exploiting customers through questionable practices is unethical. I find the trade-in offer so questionable and unreasonable that I would prefer to dispose of my system rather than accept it. I strongly believe this testing app is unreliable and just a money grab. Either way this not the best way in keeping your long and loyal customers. The employees to this store are pleasant and respectful!

Negative experience: They closed it early (around 8:20) while the business hour clear states they are open till 9 PM. We were more than five customers outside knocking on the door but the attendant/sellers inside didn’t care. They didn’t care to listen the knock on the door. So unprofessional and irresponsible.

Negative experience: Literally buy a game anywhere else, don’t get suckered by the deals. Tried to order a game here twice; once via pickup and once via delivery. Both times did not receive my order. They didn’t even tell me why they cancelled the delivery. Impossible to contact the store by phone, and Gamestop’s support agents have no idea what’s going on and no agency to help.

Negative experience: Horrible service. They don’t answer the phone. Same day order pick ups are not completed. I called to find out how long before my same day order placed 3 days ago will be and I can’t get anyone on the phone. Went after work to the store to find out what’s going on and they are closed at 530 pm. Unbelievable. Customer service number is no help as well. All they can offer is a refund on my order which I would have to forfeit my reward points used for the purchase. Not fair to the customer at all.

Negative experience: This was the worst experience I’ve had at a GameStop. I visited yesterday, and the store was packed. Despite having three employees on duty, only one was working the register. The cashier restarted a transaction twice, claiming she needed to “make it better” for the customer she was helping, which slowed everything down even more. Customers were clearly frustrated, with some leaving the store, but the staff didn’t seem to care. After waiting in line for 20 minutes, I decided to go up front and ask if they had an old Xbox controller. When one employee asked the cashier, she laughed and said, “I don’t know anything about old systems like Xbox. I’m all about PlayStation.” Her response was dismissive and unprofessional, and it wasn’t even an answer to my question. At that point, I was fed up and decided to leave. The lack of organization, long waits, and poor customer service made this a truly disappointing experience. I can’t believe this kind of thing happens, and that companies allow it—especially considering how much money customers spend with them. Experiences like this are exactly why I decided to go to Walmart instead and buy the new Xbox system there.by the way I also have the last Sp !!!!! shame on this company for allowing this

Negative experience: My friend and I went to this location to try to catch them before they closed at 10 PM since they were supposed to be open a bit longer for Black Friday. We arrived at 9:37 PM and they were already closed. This specific location seems to close earlier quite often according to my previous experiences coming to this location. SMH.

Negative experience: GameStop has screw over there customers once again I went to do a warranty exchange on a ps5 controller but they informed me that the policy has changed after I purchased the warranty to be honestly it puts the employee in the bad situation to screw customers over and the employee here became rude and said “anyways” like I was a waste of time or it was my fult when I was told by this very store that I was going to get a new controller this is way GameStop loses customers and employees because the company has bad morales my recommendation is just go to target if you come to cross county to get anything for gaming I will never shop here again

Negative experience: GameStop new policy is that you cannot return any unopened items even if it’s within the 15 days grace. They don’t do any returns at all. My son had a headphone and it hurt his ears and I tried to return it and the only thing that they told me they can do is return it for the same item. The item that actually hurts his ears no refund no exchanges for anything else just the same item. I Well, never buy anything from GameStop again.

Negative experience: I paid this location a visit and immediately noticed a lady arguing with one of the cashier’s stating that she wanted a replacement controller for a controller that she’s returned already. She says they all keep drifting. I moved away started looking at some Xbox games and picked out three ten dollar games. I then brought them to the register, and the cashier begins to look for my games, turns back to me and states we only have one out of the 3 of them. He begins to ring me up and I was in the process of paying not noticing that the young man rang up $20 instead of 10 when my girlfriend Raised her voice slightly stating why he put 20 not 10 the young man replied with they never changed the price. I then declined the transaction and walk out the store disappointed. Disappointed in the fact that he was not going to mention anything. Common sense isn’t that common ‍♂️

Negative experience: Walked in today to trade in a ps4 and the store wouldn’t take it cause I didn’t have a USB. I laughed and told the “expert” this isn’t my first system I’m trading all you need is the power cord and HDMI I’ve been trading with GameStop for years all you do is deduct it from the trade in. Negative experience: I decided to buy me an Xbox series X today. So I thought heading to my local game stop wouldn't be a bad idea. My over all experience was not bad...the representative was pretty nice and courteous. But during my purchase I was told I had to but the Gamestop membership for 15 bucks to purchase the xbox. I ask why I'm not at GameStop enough to buy said membership. But i was told its policy now. Whi knows i probly got played but all i wanted was my xbox and paid the additional 15 bucks. Once said purchase was complete the representative asked if i wanted to purchase a bag for the xbox. The bag was big enough only for a geme or controller. I declined and asked if she had any bag big enough for the box. She stated that there was not any available. Woooonderful now i have to walk out of gamestop with this box and a game i purchased...call of duty...in my arms to the car. S.m.h any way i got my stuff and im about to get down right now. Otherwise your normal gamestop visit. Thought it would be more pleasant considering i just spent almost 700 bucks!

Negative experience: My Husband just went to the store and they opened late. Then they hung a sign about technical issues and still had the door closed. He went to the door to ask when they would open and a female employee waved him off with an attitude and refused to attend to him. Is it not her job to give good customer service?
