Fantastic experience: Honestly by far the best customer service I've experience at a GameStop. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially the manager, Tea. Even when they don't have what you are looking for the recommend games or items like it, or offer to order it for you. The store is always organized and clean, easy to find what you want. They do sometimes have a smaller selection than the other locations but will always call and have them hold items for you if they find it in stock somewhere else. Honestly overall I can't complain, I have never been treated like I was less important than anyone else in the store and that's a lot more than I can say about other locations. I recommend this GameStop to anyone who wants to have the best Experience.

Negative experience: The employees of this store are just bad. Don’t even bother calling to check if they have something. They will just tell you yes without checking. Then when you drive over and they don’t have it, they act shocked and ask you to drive to a different location. They have no professionalism and don’t really care about their customers. I will never return to this location.

Fantastic experience: This is the best gamestop in Bakersfield. Tha manager is super friendly and very knowledgeable her staff us the same. My son and I really like coming here on pokemon release days because they're always happy to help and have a fair system to ensure everyone gets something.

Negative experience: EMPLOYEES STASH ITEMS FOR THEMSELVES/FRIENDS. Went in today to find some McFarlane figures and they only had 2 on the floor. I asked an employee if he had any in the back and the Manager butted in and said "no, all we have is on the floor" I asked the employee I asked first, again, and the Manager goes to the back for a second and says again "no we don't have any back here" the employee I talked to goes in the back and comes out with TWO McFarlane figures...he asked the Manager "are these for anyone?" And the Manager says "Well not anymore" sounding annoyed. The employee asked her if he should put them back and the Manager said "no you already brought them out"...like wow the Manager didn't even try to hide their conversation from me! Lol. Terrible. Explains why there's never anything good at this location. Will not be shopping here anymore.

Negative experience: Honestly do not shop here if you're looking for collectibles or cards. Employees shop the merchandise before the product touches the floor. You're lucky if you even see any good collectibles. I've watched Employees skip lines outside to get first didbs on card before anyone else. Don't even get me started on all the "on hold" items in the back that they have for themselves.

Negative experience: I had an absolutely horrible experience at this Game Stop location, when visiting my family. The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful when I needed assistance. Instead of addressing my concerns, they were uninterested and acted like I was a burden. It's extremely disappointing to encounter such poor customer service, especially from someone in a leadership position. I won’t be returning to this store, and I strongly recommend finding another Game Stop with better service.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. The short manager with glasses was extremely pushy about the membership, and when I politely declined, her attitude changed instantly—she became rude and dismissive. I came in to shop, not to be pressured or treated poorly. I will never shop at this GameStop again.

Negative experience: Employees do not follow many of the stores own protocols. Recently I went in to buy two items and there was a trade in customer in front of me who was obviously selling stuff they once tried to resell. Customers with such big trade in needs are not to hold up the line. I left and will never come back. Prior to this, I have had many pre-orders messed up and items never properly credited not to mention beyond pushy sales people.

Fantastic experience: Had lots of product very well kept store no dust all has a sparkling shine all around.will recommend to everyone visit a Game Stop. Near them!.I raised my boys in a small town on a beach in Washington and kids really something or a GameStop,t sell and trade their game's.i think you'd mage a fortune placing GameStop in small towns For kids that's all they do is play videos.

Positive experience: Purchased a game console, didn't like it, came to return next day, the same guy that helped me to purchase informed me since I opened it I can't return, he apologized that he didn't tell me when processing the sale, I asked to make an exception since I purchased a bunch of other stuff in addition and part of refund was going towards another 10pokemon packs which i had already chose . But he still said he just can't do it, the system won't let him, even though they didn't follow proper procedures, his last advice was for me to try offerup to recoup some of the money lost on the must have subscription backbone system less u want to play generic tetras thevwhole time, smh,

Negative experience: There is never supposed to be only 1 employee alone in a store but there is only one today. He put a note on the door saying "back in 45" but when we called he said he was just hanging out inside and that he had decided to take a full hour off. We can literally see him inside just goofing around.

Fantastic experience: Customer service was great young man at the register was very insightful. Didn't get a name but would like to describe him since he was very helpful. Small thin guy. The other guy was the opposite, bigger heavier set. The thinner guy was giving me info on gaming consoles as for the other guy was giving me his rude opinions and thoughts. There's a time and place for things. Great job to the other guy though.

Negative experience: I feel that when I buy a year warranty on a $200.00 purchase that the warranty should be valid. I went in because my nintendo switch was not working. They said they could not honor my warranty because it was missing a $2.00 thumb stick cover. Everything else cosmetically was like new. I wish I would have known that gamestop would try to con me before purchasing from them.

Negative experience: I had a better experience at the location in Rosedale. I had ordered a PS4 controller and had it delivered to the east side location only because it is closer to where I live. I walked in the store and noticed a worker just sitting behind the counter with full attention on their phone. I walked up hoping to get some eye contact. I assumed he was waiting for me to say something because there was no response and still no eye contact. as soon as I started to ask a question, the gentleman behind the counter immediately cuts me off and ask how he can help me. I had to repeat myself and let him know I was there to pick up my package. he gave a big exhausted sigh and asked for my name. He had came back with a open box with my controller in it and I asked if he wanted me to grab the controller or take the box. he just shakes the box at me and rudly tells me to take the box. I know Gamestop isn't the best of jobs out there, but be grateful for having a job or even the benefit of working inside with AC with this heat! I will NOT be coming back to this location. EVER!
