Positive experience: Gamestop is too pricy now

Negative experience: Guy who claimed to be the on-call manager who answered the phone could not tell me the difference between switch version 1 and switch version 2. How do you get to be manager of a store and not know your products? Especially when there is only a few systems to know.

Positive experience: They were out of $9.99 ps+ subscription so I got a $25 gift card at home Depot

Negative experience: I just want to say that he doesn’t even deserve a one rate I purchased an item on February 6, 2024 at 3:19 I was told that the item will work with what I have. I was lied to the item did not work at all. The employee that was on that sold me the item specified that it would work, I gave them the information on why I needed the item. He said it would work and he lied to me just to have a cell now I’m stuck with an item that I have no need for because this individual which I took his word because he was an employee of GameStop, so I assumed Not being knowledgeable about this that he was so So I bought it now I’m stuck with this item the reason why I’m writing this review because I would not go back to that store because of the type of employees that are lying to an elderly person so this individual was taking advantage of the elderly I feel that the people that started GameStop should go to Ming Avenue Bakersfield the store was 3743 Ming Avenue and fire these people for giving false information taking advantage of the customers I read the review it was sad that I read about the 10-year-old being ripped off as well as I was other people writing reviews also being ripped off being told things they’re lazy rude and they should all be fired from that store. I was a loyal customer for years buying different items from that store just to go in there and be lied to then I called to complain and I got the runaround from them too I got a number from Corporate so they say and I will call and if nothing is done then I will get a hold of media or whatever , so I can let other people know that the GameStop on Main Avenue should either be closed or fired

Negative experience: My nine year old daughter just spent $10 on a Roblox gift card and instead of providing an actual card they printed the code on the receipt. Being only 9 years old she accidentally threw away the receipt with the card. When I called the store they not only said they can not print out the receipt and email it to me or have me pick it up but will also not refund her $10. So they robbed my little girl of her money. I have never been treated like this anywhere before where the store would not at least honor and try to do the right thing.

Negative experience: Ordered online for pick up at this store, received the email saying my order was ready to be picked up but i get there and the store is closed at 630 pm when its supposed to stay open till 9 pm. Very bad experience

Negative experience: This specific store used to be good, but the new employee takes like a 2 and a half hr break and shuts the store down while he is taking it. I'm pretty sure lunch breaks don't last that long.

Negative experience: Management at this location is rude and arrogant. Talks down to customers. ignores customers when they speak. Goostavo you should probably not scream and threaten people with death over the phone when your behind the register or at all). Very unprofessional.

Selection is decent if you're looking for something recent.

Fantastic experience: Just a normal game buying place, i can argue that i like physical games more and its more expensive compared to digital copies but if thats how it is fine ill take it. Can anyone explain why? Staff is nice there and very informative about what is needed for something and are very nice making sure i have evidence of purchase for possible emergency refund. Its a nice game purchase place but wouldnt recommend items such as shirts or other merchandise im not a big spender so i would think its a bit expensive 5 stars lovely clean and organised gaming sections

Positive experience: Pretty messy GameStop. I prefer the GameStop in Rosedale to this location. Twice now I have pre-ordered games and it took them 10-15 minutes to find it because behind their counter is a mess.

Negative experience: Told me they would pay $14 for Amazing Spider-Man 2 on PS4 but I needed an ID. Came back 3 or 4 hours later with and ID and was told that they could only give me $8. Honestly most of the staff there isn't very helpful.
