Fantastic experience: Visited this place three times so far for a trade-in, a console repair, and a purchase. Each time I felt like I'd been treated fairly. All 3 staff members were friendly and knowledgeable. The selection of games has a nice variety of recent and retro, even some harder to find titles and not just 27 copies of something no one really wants. Would definitely visit again.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience at Gameware in the Mall of Louisiana! The two employees who helped me provided phenomenal service from the moment I walked in. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about everything gaming-related. When I wasn’t completely happy with my first purchase, they went above and beyond to recommend a game that perfectly matched my interests. Their enthusiasm and genuine care made the whole shopping experience fantastic. Fantastic experience: Great people working here. I been coming to the Gameware at the Mall Of Louisiana since it was at its first location in the mall. They offer disc scratch removal service for $5.50 after tax. They always have exclusive retro games for sale.

Positive experience: They have a pretty good selection of games, even classic NES games, but they are very overpriced.

Fantastic experience: These guys are awesome. Very friendly staff, and fast service. Went in on Sunday to have my ps4 hdmi repaired, and got it back the very next day. 10/10 job was done on hdmi port. They even took the time to clean the dust out of it. I highly recommend this place for the best service and prices.

Fantastic experience: Navid was so helpful when I came in with an Xbox remote control challenge. I was having trouble connecting the controller via bluetooth to my PC at home. He updated the controller while I was in the store and wrote down the directions should I need to update it again. I even learned a few neat gaming facts while I was in the store waiting. Top notch customer service! Please support this local gem :) Thanks guys!

Fantastic experience: Didn't have any Silent Hill

Positive experience: They answered my questions and had the product I wanted.. my concern is the level of professionalism... the sales associate was very hyper and rushed me. I asked the associate to relax I'm in no rush. The associate got very offended and defensive. This young man had zero poise. In fact he removed himself from the transaction and walked to the back. I mean really??? This is a video game store.. lol.. Another associate stepped in. It made for a very awkward moment. In fact I was ready to leave so bad that I told them keep the change and left out immediately..... I probably WILL NOT go back unless absolutely necessary... GameStop we need you!!!!

Negative experience: I wish no one would shop here. They buy things off ebay and double the price. I've literally sold to them via ebay on a shipping label. Please please please do not shop here.

Positive experience: Small store with a decent variety of consoles. Prices were on the higher side at a few of the games I looked at.

Fantastic experience: Old school games and nostalgia.

Negative experience: Starting to lose its luster. Staff always friendly and they have a great variety but their pricing is inconsistent at best. From fair to completely overpriced with no considerations for completeness or condition on higher-end items. Have a great variety of harder to find jrpgs for ps4 etc but again pricing isn't updated. Too, all games on walls are re-wrapped with shrink wrap which often leaves cases damaged/melted from this process.

Fantastic experience: A perfect place for gamers of all kinds- one of the only places I know of that have realistic and reasonable prices on video games. My girlfriend found some good Zombie games and I was able to add a classic to my Gameboy Color collection without emptying my bank account. The merch they have is all pretty appealing and in a good ratio to the video games, I actually bought something that wasn't a game for once- I couldn't pass up on Purple Yoshi. Aside from that, their selection is outstanding. Plenty of different systems and plenty of games from each era, it felt like I found something new each time I would turn around. The memes they have are pretty funny too. Wish we could've talked to the cashier's a little longer. Great place, great prices, great people.

Negative experience: Don't bother calling store when someone finally answers they hangup before saying anything the most unprofessional game store ever in business

Fantastic experience: Haven't been inside but the other location was open. This location doesn't exist anymore downstairs. It's upstairs same side as gamestop but opposite side of the food court. Next to finish line across from Vans They've got a great selection of Switch games. A saw some lesser known titles. Similarly I came across titles I haven't seen for Wii, ps3, nes, and ps2. N64 titles have skyrocketed. There's even a good selection of Gamecube games. Usually I don't see that much out there. They even have Billy Hatcher and the Giant egg. Which has gone up but it's a great platform. I picked up Super Princess Peach! As well as Birth the beginning on ps4. Btw they have a collectors copy of pioneers of olive

After being scammed by the College Dr location this one is truly great! I cannot say enough to give my gratitude. I will definitely bring all my gaming business here!

We love the arcade, so awesome that we can just go in and play air hockey, Jurassic park and I think one day we spent 20 bucks trying to beat the Simpsons arcade game lol. Fantastic experience: They have a collection of old games and consoles that is great! Went in with my kids cause they wanted to spend some piggy bank money. The employee was extremely friendly, made sure the games the kids bought were in good condition(even cleaned one of the discs to make sure), and was friendly to the kids. In a world where a lot of people look at kids as an aggravation, it was a breath of fresh air to see how nice this guy was. I wish I would’ve gotten his name, but I didn’t. He was working behind the counter on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at around 5:20-5:45 PM, which is about the time we were there. I hope his boss sees this review and gives him a big raise.

Fantastic experience: Fun place and you can buy older games, plus an arcade machine that has over 600 games :o

Negative experience: I went to game ware to trade in some games and they give you less money then GameStop. I brought a list of the games I traded in they gave me 75$ less then GameStop would have given for the trade in. I will not shop at game ware again.

They have two locations, and the one in the mall just upgraded their arcade to include an air hockey table and a multigame cabinet filled with classics. The staff is very friendly and informed, plus they don't try to push you into purchases ala Game Stop. Definitely worth checking out for every serious gamer in Baton Rouge.

Positive experience: Cool place, but they don't have as many collectibles as they used to. Prices on used games are lower than GameStop (at times), but my main purpose for coming here are the collectibles and the arcade games. Worth checking out if you've got time to kill.

Fantastic experience: This was my first experience dealing with Gameware, and I was extremely impressed. I had bought a N64 & Mario Kart off Amazon (to save a few bucks like a cheapskate), and of course it did not work when I set it up at my house. I took it to Gameware yesterday in hope they could get it working so I wouldn't have to return it. Low and behold, after about ten minutes of cleaning and testing, the gentleman helping me out (John-Michael) got it working perfectly. Not only does Gameware have a huge selection of games and consoles, they have a ton of games and knowledge of retrosystems like the N64 I just bought (they also have Sega Genesis, SNES and NES as well). John-Michael was super nice, knowledgeable and keeps the store spotless. I can't say enough good things about this place. This store is a huge asset to all gamers, from 10 year olds to 30+ year olds like me.

Fantastic experience: if you wanna buy games theres a gamestop in the mall... everyone i know goes there for the video arcade. so thats a cool thing... plus they sell a lot of classic console stuff that gamestop doesnt.
