Game X Change

Negative experience: I had the absolute worst experience at Game X Change. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They spoke to me with a very dismissive and disrespectful attitude, making me feel completely unwelcome. I came in hoping for fair service, but instead I was met with eye-rolling, short answers, and zero willingness to help. It was such a disappointing and frustrating visit. This is not how a business should treat its customers. Extremely dissatisfied and I will not be returning to this store ever again. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Amazing prices, and amazing items from the movies to the devices, bought an amazing working projector for $50

Fantastic experience: Stopped by to get a PS4 and Brad was super helpful and even helped us make sure everything was in good condition before we left the store. Great location with tons of selection:)

Negative experience: offered me 30% of TCG for pokemon cards… that’s just demonic. Never coming back, if you sell them your pokemon cards you got robbed.

Negative experience: I have two xbox games from this store. They gave me the wrong game and the other game didnt work. I came back, they cleaned one enough for it to work and I exchanged the wrong one for another game and it didnt work either. They do not test their games before reselling them. Its pretty annoying to have to go all the way home and come all the back to repeat the process.

Fantastic experience: I love going to this place. Great selection of Games, funko pops , posters, and nostalgia. The employees we very helpful as usual. A guy named Travis had helped me and was very knowledgeable on his games and movies. Will definitely be coming back .

Fantastic experience: My husband and I been in there several times they are very nice and very helpful we bought two tablets from the an ipad a while back and we just got me a samsung galaxy s9 fe new in box both work wonderful we have all bought collectibles toys and candy from them we will def be back my grandchildren like the store to my grandson finds stuff for mine and his action figure collection in there lol I highly recommend

Fantastic experience: Just want to start off saying thanks to the crew! These guys are awesome! Since day one everyone in there's been helpful and have treated me like gold I actually feel like family walking in there and know that if I go in there looking for anything or wanting anything they're going to take care of me! The management is on point this guy knows his stuff and is very considerate and knowledgeable when it comes to your items that you're selling or purchasing. I would definitely recommend anyone to go in there it is the spot to go in Mobile for anything game related whether it be systems card games Collectibles this is the place to go. Negative experience: So I have gone in twice now with some games to trade in and quite frankly their trade in values are horrendous. And they were games such as Pokémon titles and some sealed games too. Which is weird that they said they take sealed games for trade in but only price them as open/used for trade in values. Their selection in games are nice, but for a chain the store feels cluttered and unorganized.

Fantastic experience: Cool little place, stays open late vintage toys ,gaming systems, video games, and they have music equipment such as guitars, foot petals for drums , computer moniters, etc. They buy and trade and have great employees who will help with any questions you need to be answered.

Fantastic experience: These guys are actually amazing. I went and got a Wii today and they hooked me up with every thing you could need for the system. Power cord, the sensor bar, controller. They forgot the AC cable for it though. So I went back up there and they gave me the AC cable and a converter box for AV to HDMI for free! That converter saved me $25. Definitely check them out!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful people from the start, they had a nice selection of all things games, electronics, and memorabilia. The guys there helped me get a controller for my PC and were even kind enough to exchange it same day and allow me to get exactly what I wanted. If you're ever around and have the change to stop by, I highly suggest it!

Negative experience: My boyfriend went in there yesterday evening to buy a game. This is the second time he went in there and the game was on the shelf, but when he went up to buy it, they states it is not in the store to buy. The guy in there then threw the case across their cashier desk. I am not sure if the associates in there were arguing about something or not but it is very rude to act like that in front of customers with those type of attitudes. They need customer service training because women like me or other women finds that very scary and rude. I suggest their manager train them on customer service, being friendly, being polite, and not to throw things with customers in the store.

Fantastic experience: Wow! This place is deceiving from the outside. It looks small, but they pack so much into it! Movies, games, collectibles (tons of Funkos!), PC parts, gaming consoles... All kinds of deals! Great prices too. This place is the GameStop killer, so definitely check here first! I will be back!

Positive experience: The employees have been friendly, but I have noticed their prices aren't consistent with what is on the tags. The amount was negligible so I didn't say anything but you definitely want to watch your total. I wish they had more games and less Funko Pops and DVDs!

Positive experience: Depending on what you take in, they kind of rip you off so definitely be careful what you take in but somethings are worth exchanging, their point system sucks for movies, but it’s pretty decent on the games depending on what system it’s for, don’t know that I would exchange any of my consoles here. Pretty good service they try to give you the best deals possible. really love their posters decently priced

Positive experience: I have not had a good experience with this location until recently. I didn't get cut a great deal, and the store wasn't very well put together, but the staff was tryin' for once. If this keeps up, I will be happily shopping here often.

Fantastic experience: I was skeptical to do any business with this store at first due to the unpleasant comments and reviews. But after meeting Samatha and her crew I was glad that I took a chance. They were patience and gave me fair pricing on the items (vintage basketball player and Funko pops) I was trading in. I believe that they are making the proper steps into turning the store around and weeding out the bad experiences for the future.

Negative experience: The staff was too busy eating their lunch then to ring up my order correctly for my husband, they mischarged us by $20 and when he brought back the receipt and the items with their price tag showing it was $20 less they told him the company is unable to produce a refund. They can only get us in-store credit. It is a scam to shop there, take your time and your money that you work hard for somewhere else to a business that actually cares about their customers

Negative experience: My experience use to be rather good when they first opened in Mobile, but lately my experiences have been very poor. Some of the staff can be very friendly and approachable, but two of the heavier employees have been rude to me on several occasions. The place has a bad odor whenever I go and inside the building, and it just reek of bad body odor.

Fantastic experience: The store had ever video game and console you could think of the saff was helpful I just wish some of the games and suff was a bit more cheaper other then that cool story

Negative experience: I was really disappointed with my experience at this store. Two of the employees were too busy flirting on tues night with each other to even acknowledge me for a good fifteen minutes. It was so unprofessional and made me feel like my business didn't matter to them at all. I definitely won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Great store with a great selection of just about anything nerd related. The managers Mac and Tori are professional but super down to earth and funny. The employees at this store also seem to be very knowledgeable on most of their products and are happy to learn about unique or rare products that come in to the store.

Negative experience: Absolutely unacceptable service. Stood in line for 15 minutes waiting to check out while the employees chatted it up with other customers. Two guys behind the counter; I asked one if he would go ahead and ring me up and he literally walked away. Don't waste your time like I did, there are plenty of better places to get games and movies.

The shelves are massive, they have games for just about every system you can think of, the staff (particularly Courtney, from my last visit (hope I'm spelling that right)) is super friendly and helpful, and, my favorite thing, they sometimes put cute little drawings on their replacement covers. What more could you ask for?

Negative experience: The older bald man who has glasses was very rude. I had the absolute worst service ever and do not recommend anyone to go there. He stated my xbox was faulty, when it is not. The xbox works amazing. The other worker was very nice but the older man was RUDE. He does not deserve a job there. Wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

Fantastic experience: There is no better game store

Negative experience: My son and I spent over an hour going through bulk cards, and when we went to pay they put several of our finds aside and said they weren't supposed to be in bulk and wanted to charge us alot more for them. I've never had a card shop pull this kind of stunt; if you're not doing your due diligence as a seller and taking the time to properly present your product, you should not penalize your customer and should honor the price as displayed. I feel that this location engages in unethical business practice and takes advantage of customers in both selling and buying scenarios. My advice to would-be patrons is: go elsewhere for your cards; there are other shops in town that will treat you fairly and also have knowledgable and ethical employees.

Negative experience: The cards in there don't even go for more than 35 cents. The pokèmon cards holo on TCGplayer which is the official website. The most they go for is 15 cents and they charge you 20 cents more a piece. Wouldn't recommend for cards at all. Several places other than here are cheaper on there prices as well. Why have price charts if your just going to scan it either way.

Negative experience: At first, me & my husband really liked coming here to look around. On the 3rd or so visit we decided to bring in some blu rays/dvds & box sets to sell to them. There was a daily limit on how many they would buy, which was fine. The girl gave us the total for some box sets and they were giving us a dollar and some change for each box set. I wasn’t expecting a huge amount but that’s insane. Then the teenage girl, that was giving us the prices, had an attitude the whole time and just acted like it was burden that we were there. This could be a fun little store if there was someone to hold the employees accountable and if the customer didn’t get low balled so badly. If I wanted to experience that I would just go to game stop.

Fantastic experience: This is a great game store they do take trade in but do not expect anything high about $5. Might get a game for $1 or $2 than they sale for $10 so thats a big profit they win . But its great store

Fantastic experience: So many options here. From Retro consoles all the way to next gen consoles, plus games to go with them all. They also have Vinyl records, a LOT of blu ray movies, and accessories for pretty much any console or tech item you can think of.

Negative experience: I bought an Xbox 1 from here and the girl who sold it told me lied and said it was tested and when I got home it was locked on to another profile and didn't read disks. This place is ridiculous and they will screw you out of your money. And don't even bother calling the store because the girl will literally ignore the phone. I'm out $200 because of employess that shouldn't be handling people's money. Go somewhere else for sure.
