Positive experience: Decent for a small mall store, not a ton of merchandise to browse. I pop in for 10 minutes maybe, just to see if there are any deals. Update '26: Stock seems to have improved, and even the retro games section is expanding. They sell more anime merch than in the past, definitely diversified their offering to compete with Box Lunch, Target, and similar. Could probably display t-shirts better.

Negative experience: This place is an absolute joke. Went there tonight with trade ins and she ignored us for the first couple minutes and then huffed when I said I had a trade in. While this was happening another guy came in with a trade in and she said “I don’t know why people feel like they should come in 30 minutes before close with trade ins” and proceeded to keep telling me my items were going to come up worthless in the system. We ended up leaving with our items because she kept telling us they were junk without giving us a real number. Will not come back.

Negative experience: I came in to buy a Nintendo Switch 2 console. The female cashier, I believe her name is Brandi, made me so unbelievably uncomfortable during my 10 minutes in the store. I asked if they had the console and she said yes then proceeded to ask me if I wanted any additional accessories for it. I said no, as I already have some and did not want to spend more than the 500 I was already spending there. She insulted my intelligence for my age and continually said she doesn’t understand why I would make these decisions because they make no sense. After telling her no thank you to all of the products and memberships she offered, she would not stop. It was absolutely inappropriate and I will not be making any of my previously planned purchases from there because of Brandi. These employees need to learn how to take “no thank you” as a response instead of being rude and insulting. It was wildly unprofessional and inappropriate.

Negative experience: I went here with my friends today and had an horrible experience. I asked for the price of a backpack and had to ask multiple times before given an answer. I was told to wait for the employee to check but the employee was endlessly talking to another customer, even though there were others in line. Me and my friend who were going to purchase something had to leave because the line was not moving at all because this employee would not stop talking. The employee was named Damon

Negative experience: Absolutely rude. No customer service what so ever. No one in the store. We walk in and no even a "hi, can we help you" nothing. Employees were just texting and chatting like they don't have a job. Do better.

Negative experience: My favorite mall store as a kid but my review isn't about the employee or manager that work here but the GameStop corporation and name as a whole and give consumers the knowledge they need when shopping here CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! This is a photo of an internal training document encouraging employees to automatically add warranties to all available items when you make a purchase. This leads to customers purchasing warranties they didn't realize were optional. It's a pretty scummy practice and remember always be checking your receipts!

Fantastic experience: I stopped by the GME GameStop at South Hills Village Mall, and honestly, it was a great experience. The store is well-organized and has everything you’d expect—games, consoles, collectibles, all of it. The staff were super helpful, too. I asked about a game I couldn’t remember the name of, just described it as ‘something with dragons,’ and they immediately knew what I meant and even gave me a couple of suggestions. It’s not just about the products; the vibe is great, like they actually care about gamers. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just grabbing a gift, it’s definitely worth checking out. Solid spot.

Fantastic experience: Since the other gamestop in bethel park closed, this one has become more popular and cleaner looking. The staff is friendly and helpful when they're not super busy ringing out customers. Happy to see that they've started including new products, I'm curious of the quality of the gamestop branded products, but I hope they aren't cheap trash. Gamestop could be the last bastion of physical gaming, let's hope they don't fumble the bag

Positive experience: Decent GameStop, no better or worse than others I've shopped at. Some of the employees are very friendly and helpful, while others don't even acknowledge you when you walk into the store & spend 15 minutes. Some of them are more interested in their personal conversations than walking up to a customer and seeing if he or she needs any help. Like I said, that's only a few employees and not all of them.

Fantastic experience: The employees here were really nice when I went in store. I’ve been buying video games for the last 20 years and as the video game industry has been evolving, so has the sales tactics. Sometimes when you walk into a GameStop you’re greeted with “Wanna sign up for a pro rewards card” Etc.. before even saying hello and always pushing promotions down your throat. When I came to this GameStop, I was picking up Zelda: Link’s Awakening on the Switch. Needless to say, because the employee took the time to actually have a conversation and was not pushy, I left with 3 new switch games, a pro membership and preordered the Pokémon sword/shield double pack. I’ll drive here for games from now on.

Negative experience: Go to the Gamestop on 88 instead. I've been talked down to by employees at this store and been told why the games I like and play are bad and being judged for my preferences. Also, while checking out the employee says, "Oh, you have a deal, but you don't have a switch", which I responded that I do have one and then says "Well, we don't have the controller in stock anyway". I didn't even know what the deal was and the employee didn't bother to tell me either (wish I remembered the employee's name). I've had a few other bad experiences here and I do not want to return.

Fantastic experience: I've gone in game stop at both locations near me, the mall and in bethel park, both have great and friendly staff, they've always gone the extra mile to give me info, kindly explain things and offer promotions as i am usually buying for someone else and I don't have a lot of knowledge on gaming. Five stars! Check out their deals, especially around black friday-- some of their prices even beat Walmarts!

Positive experience: It's okay for merch/toys/clothes or new games. Used games are a mixed bag (either a great deal or wildly overpriced by literally any standard), and console accessories you're better off just buying online, you'll get the same or better quality for half the price (sometimes literally the same product for half the price), and you can see reviews instead of hoping that an employee has experience with the product you're asking about.

Fantastic experience: This Gamestop is situated directly in the mall, it has a convenient location for someone already at the mall. The store is filled with your major games, used games and consoles. It fills all the boxes on my checklist when I imagine a Gamestop. The thing that makes my rating higher than normal for this location is the staff held within. The staff is friendly, informative, and knowledgeable about the products they sell. I know that the physical media ship is sailing, but I would take a chance to stop by if you're in the area.

Negative experience: Man what an experience, declined a held item from there app, was on hold for 30minutes only to get disconnect. The sales representive (DJ) that assisted me and answered the phone declined my hold with several units available. The representative lied and furthered judged me based on my selection of games and items i traded in. The Representatives pushed their "not free program" and after declining 3 times he called me an idiot for not accepting the offer. Almost every experience I have a gamestop is a poor one and I hate the idea of going back. (New can of worm I called another store for a check list on items to bring with trade in on a console and they forgot to mention HDMI, Controller and the mini cable to get full value)
