Negative experience: I can't get behind selling fake cards, sorry not sorry. Was looking at the binders with someone else, we confirmed that out of the 5 cards, 3 of them were fake. Manager came from the back and told us the cards "looked real" to him. The mutual left disheartened, and the person at the register, knowing the cards were fake- put them back into the binder to be sold. Despite the clear printing errors. Ended up going around the store and purchased a pack of star rail cards, only to find out those are fake too. The cards were cardboard so the pack felt heavy; they were made with AI art and damaged.

Fantastic experience: The guy at the front counter, Phil, was absolutely phenomenal! My son, who has autism, spent over half an hour with him, exploring all the gaming sections, and Phil was incredibly sweet, kind, and patient the entire time. He never lost his cool and was truly magnificent. Phil was highly knowledgeable about both systems and games, answering all our questions with thoughtful suggestions and recommendations. His listening skills were excellent, and his customer service was top-notch.

Negative experience: They have a reputation of selling things that are 1/2 broken and NOT wanting 2 fix it!! I DIDN'T KNOW THIS BEFORE BUYING MY SON'S GIFT!! I bought a handheld gaming system top digitizer not working right went down there 2xs (they broke the henge), denying responsibility "voiding the contract" NEVER TRUST THIS PLACE!!! WHAT'S EVEN WORSE IS MY SON HAD A PARTY NONE OF HIS FRIENDS SHOWED UP AND A BROKEN GIFT (THE ONLY 1 HE GOT)!!

Negative experience: Had HDMI replaced on Xbox, just over 30 days later, that port became intermittent. Blue Shell refused to fix it without me paying full price again and said I must have damaged it. The tecnition decided this by only looking at one picture sent by the store clerk without even giving it an in-person inspection. Blue Shell does not stand by their quality of work if they let individuals like this make important decisions that represent the quality of the product they sell. If Blue Shell can't give me the time or day to reinspect a port that they repaired, then I can not recommend using them to repair anything and would second guess any product you would purchase. Update.. Blue Shell responded that it's our policy, and we stand by it that there is a 30-day warranty on repairs. There is also a thing called good business and customer relations. If there are issues, let's try and resolve it so that the customer will return. All I wanted was to have them actually look at the repair and give me a real assessment. What I got was a halfway glance from some screenshot picture off a cell phone text sent to some tecnition. Their response has solidified my decision to never shop their again and to recommend the same for my friends and family..

Positive experience: Decent selection. Seems like the sweet spot when I went in was ps2 and Xbox 360 era games. Went in looking for ps1 games, not a great selection, mostly old sports games. But I understand these places get product cycled in so definitely will check back. Prices are a bit higher on some games then if you were to look online but you pay for the convenience of picking it immediately.

Negative experience: Purchased a used console for $278.00, 1st time getting home to find out they gave me the wrong power cord so I couldn't power it up. Drove back the next day to get the right power cord, 2nd time driving home to power it up, only to find out 2 buttons on the remote did not work and you had to hold the cord a certain way for it to charge. Went online to see what time they closed "8pm", after i got off work I headed over to be greeted with a piece of paper in the window that says they close at 6pm. 3rd time driving home from this place empty handed. Next day I head back to get another remote and cord. 4th time driving home from this place only to find out the "new" charging cord is not compatible with the console and the remote did not work at all. Drove back to get a new cord that is compatible with console, the cord that they gave me was (THIS IS THE ACTUAL LENGTH) a 5 inch long charging cord (My console is sitting on a shelf 7ft off the floor behind the television) 5th time driving home from this place to find out the remote still doesnt work. They give me a different remote and a different cord all together. The cord works but the new remote has sticky buttons that did not Pop back. I had all the patience and hope in the world for this little place and they let me down 5 times. So i said screw it, now that remote is my dogs new chew toy and I purchased a brand new one from Sony directly.

Negative experience: I took 10 games that are valued between 40-60$ and they offer me an opened bag of expired salt and vinegar chips and used size 15 sketchers with the soles flapping as if it was hungry. Also upset they didn’t have the last of us 2 for my Xbox one :/. I was bummed out thinking I was going to experience the journey of Joel and Ellie :(. I’m not coming here ever again. I’m going to just stick with GameFly

Negative experience: Decent game selection but their prices are high. The absolute worst place for trades. Tried trading an Xbox system and they offered me very little. They said that other places like GameStop wouldn’t offer me much more which was untrue. I went in to trade 4 n64 games and an n64 console and they lowballed me. They offered me less than 20% of what they sold the games for. They straight told me that they are worth $xxx amount but we are giving you $xx amount which was about 30% of what they were worth. They then tried to give me $10 for the console that they sold for over $150! Ridiculous! I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this place and it’s clear they do not value their customers and like to just rip people off.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go to for retro games! Ever since the eShop closed, it's quite tricky to get some 3ds games. Luckily, this place has made it possible to get some of the games I wanted to play.

Negative experience: I took in a bunch of disc based games to be resurfaced, everything went well until it was time to pick up the games. I'm from out of town so it's not just a simple five minute drive to get them. After driving back home I realized something that they didn't. I was missing a game. A game that retails for decent money. I called them and luckily they were able to find the game back in Clovis. I asked their employee if there was a limit on how long they could hold it for me because I didn't know when I would be able to make my way back up. She told me they can essentially hold for as long as I need. I was like good cause it was their mistake that caused this in the first place. Well I was finally able to make it back to pick up my game, they told me they have a limit on how long they can hold something before they consider it "abandoned". They called usually when I was at work but to tell me my game was ready to be picked up but never once mentioned they had a time limit on how long they could hold the game. I mean not even a text or voicemail saying hey you have this amount of time to pick up until the game is considered "abandoned". After explaining the situation they tell me I'm out of luck and the game is gone....it just feels like I paid them 5 dollars to keep and sell my game for 100 percent profit...no offer for store credit even partial for the "abandoned/missing game". They also refused a refund for the 5 dollar resuface fee. Which to the employee's credit he tried to get and the owner denied. Not a nice way to treat your customer, I'll just have to shop elsewhere unfortunately.

Positive experience: They sell some pretty cool stuff, I personally have bought some gamecube games for my collection and havent had any issues yes they are a bit more expensive than ebay but youl will be supporting a local business plus if you have any issues you actually have a physical store you can take it back to. Also have had some games cleaned by them that they have got to work again, never have taken a console to get rapaired but have had friends that have and have told me that they are also pretty good at that, only thing I would say to stay away from is selling them your old video games and consoles, they will lowball you and will just try to see the smallest thing thats dirty to decrease their offer other than that really a good store if your into collecting retro video games.

Negative experience: Place is organized but doesn’t look appealing. there is always a rude young black haired Gal working behind the counter, and also they’ll say they offer better trade in prices then game-stop but yet it’s only a couple dollars more. It’s basically a runned down resell shop with a bunch of very used items.

Positive experience: Nice little shop catering to video gamers (mostly). Solid selection of games and accessories for older systems. We were looking for items for the original Nintendo Wii (yes ours still works and we still play it). This was the first place in a while where we found anything for that old console. Prices are a trifle above what I thought was fair - but the items carried are clean and in good working order, and they do provide a limited warranty. Service is friendly and helpful too. They also carry an eclectic selection of art and collectibles, mostly anime-themed - stop by if this is your thing.

Fantastic experience: Blueshell gaming has ALWAYS been a huge help to me Phil is a phenomenal guy and knows his stuff about everything you’re in great hands with this guy. The rest of the staff are amazing as well I always feel welcomed and well taking care of. I know I will always get the right attention I need and Phil is a great person to have a conversation with. Negative experience: Took my Xbox One X to get fixed for an HDMI replacement at the end of May. It took almost two months to get it back and ended being unfixable. During that time I only received one phone call with an update on the repair status. I would call every few weeks to check up and was told it needed more time as the HDMI part was out of stock or needed more time to fix. Finally got a phone call saying it was unfixable and console was ready for pickup. I completely understand the time frame and was very patient with not getting phone calls as times are crazy right now. I'm giving a one star because I just felt like I was out on $130 for the repair and with a console that was unable to be repaired without at least offering an explanation and at least an option sooner to just cancel the repair without waiting all the time for nothing. I appreciate the in-store employees and tech repair that gave me the one phone call and support but just felt like I wasted my time and money for nothing. One last thing, the console powered on when I took it in to repair, once I got it back it didn't power on anymore. So just stuck with a broken console that in my opinion was worse than when I took it in.
