Negative experience: Ordered 2 pre-owned games online. They arrived separately and the one I received yesterday, was scratched up. I started the refund process online and chose 'drop off in store' since this location is not terribly far from home. I walked in, provided requested information, including pro member account and ID. The guy working took a look at the order info on my phone and said, there's no date. Ok, valid, but it's what was provided by gamestop and the instructions state to bring that slip into the store to process the return. Regardless, I pulled up my emails showing the order date and dates the games were delivered. I was then told that he'd have to talk to his manager first before proceeding with the return because the purchase date makes the return outside the 7day return policy. I said, I LITERALLY received it yesterday, you can see that in my emails. He said he wasn't sure if it was based on order date or received date so he couldn't do it without confirmation from the manager and ironically, the phones were down. (I'm sorry, you have a cell phone, I guarantee it, so that's a bs excuse) He said I needed to come back tomorrow and the manager would be in at 11am. Yeah. No. I'm not wasting more of my time, I'll do the return label option instead. Also, I know for a fact, he's worked at this location long enough to be well familiar with return policies. Ridiculous. Not that they care but, I WAS planning on shopping while I was in there but, nevermind. I will not be returning to this location. ✌️

Fantastic experience: Nostalgic. Reminds me of the old Gamers locations in town. Fun place to pick up games for older systems. I like to introduce my kids to video games I grew up with. Great and knowledgeable staff!

Negative experience: went to buy the metal gear collection vol 1 for 19.99 as it was labeled in store. bought it drove away before i looked at the receipt and saw they charged me 40 for it. so i went back and got her to give me it for 19.99 but she had a completely different attitude when i had first bought it from when i got the price fix. she ended up ripping the tag off when i first bought it so she could probably say it was 40 and when she did rip it off she dug her nails into the cover damaging it as you can see in the photo. there is only like one good guy there so you should probably go to the one on 2902 S 180th St, Omaha, NE 68130 as it has a really nice staff there from what ive seen.

Negative experience: Don't waste your time with this place. I just brought in $780 in PSA graded collectibles one piece Pokemon and others. Brought in 11 slab. They offered to buy two. One of them was an $80.00 one piece card buy psa's conservative estimate. These Jokers offered me $3.25 for it. A Pokemon illustrator legally licensed graded by PSA valued at 168.00 they offered me nothing for it. This place is a joke. Stay far away with your PSA graded collectibles. They tell me they don't even sell them in store they just buy them from you and try to hawk them on the Internet.

Fantastic experience: If you go to this location and want great service with a smile and a worker that has knowledge of 21+ years, I hope Drew is there to get you checked out. Because of him clearly and thoroughly explaining the membership of $25 a year with confidence and clarity- I pretty much immediately gor the membership back after over a decade of not re-registering. He's salesman skills we're not pushy or invading in any way (which is usually the case when you literally just want to walk away when someone is trying to sell you a product but doesn't highlight the benefits right away) He was polite and professional with a bit of the old school personality from 20 years ago. Glad he's still here and I'm happy with my membership and the membership exclusive buy. Also, coming from Hawaii, where we didn't have events held at the store, it was nice to hear how the community got involved and the fun that came from the 90s and 2000s when we all used to wait outside for drops. Wish we could relive that.

Negative experience: I walked in and there was a fella counting his coins to buy his son a game and he was $.40 Short. The employee was so rude and refused to work with him, constantly rolling his eyes and being a jerk about the whole thing. This place will give you $3 for a $60 game to sell it for $57 but won't work with you for a couple coins and embarrass you in front of the whole store. I immediately walked out without buying anything. Such awful customer service and horrible selection of games. I'll never go back again. Plenty of other stores nearby to support the gaming community.

Negative experience: Poor precedent being set by management. Same experience as the recent reviewer below me when it came to Switch 2 preorder. After waiting in line for 1-2 hours to preorder Switch 2, store manager Drew required reserving ~$150-200 worth of additional accessories and a protection plan in order to preorder the system- even after explicitly stating that I didn’t want the extra items, he wouldn’t let me and others preorder without also reserving the extras. Even tried going back to store a week or two later to only cancel the items I didn’t want , and was told that store policy is I couldn’t cancel them alone and would have to cancel my system preorder as well. Confirmed this was not the case with GameStop corporate policy (which was also sadly unhelpful in resolving complaint) and also not the policy at other GameStops in town. So now, since the store manager (either on his own or alongside district manager) was making it compulsory to include all the unwanted accessories in order to keep S2 preorder, I won’t be doing business at this location and also recommend others avoid it. Aggressive short-term tactics to hit quota or store margin numbers, hurt customer loyalty. As a side note, most of the other associates I’ve interacted with at this location have been nice, so it’s a shame that management is alienating customers like this.

Negative experience: Pre-ordered switch 2 on the 4th. They forced me to purchase a warranty and 3 accessories stating that's the rule. A day after, I found out Gamestop didn't require this. It was the store staff forcing people to purchase a warranty and accessories. Also, selling 1 year warranty on a product that already has 1 year warranty is a total scam. It basically means their warranty doesnt have to cover anything ! Horrible horrible way to lose future customer. Never going back here.

Negative experience: Went in there 10 to close, yes I know it was about to close, I was going with a purpose. When we walked up, dude was outside smoking a cigarette. He immediately said "we close in 10 mins". I asked about pre-ordering the new pokemon legends z-a game (usually when there's a release date it's available to pre-order). It didn't even look like he looked anything up in the computer. Said there's nothing on the system or in the paper. We just left.

Negative experience: Bought two things from their store, both were broken. Went to return and they wanted me to drive to a different store to get them replaced. I asked for my money back then and they said no. When I bought the items I got bombarded with them trying to sell me things I did not want. Headache and a half, garbage store.

Fantastic experience: My son and I frequent the Omaha Game Stops looking for Five Nights at Freddy's merchandise, and this location seems to have more than others. I also inquired about a new game console for my son answering all and the staff member working was extremely informative and helpful to me in making a decision in which one to buy. Negative experience: This location is full of crooks. I purchased a PlayStation gift card and it never worked when I went on to redeem it. Call the store spoke with manager and was no help at all even with a receipt of the purchase. I will never shop GameStop again.

Fantastic experience: I had the opportunity to experience customer service at its finest. Gabby and Hayley were super helpful in providing me insight on what gaming device to get my son and how to build his system. I witnessed both girls deal with different customers while I was in the store (it was very busy because it was right after Christmas) and I was amazed and how they dealt with the customers. Highly recommend this GameStop location!

Positive experience: Just isn't the same when I was a kid. I feel like an old man going into a GameStop now. It always feels so empty. Unless you are going there to buy a specific game or some anime toy there really isn't anything else. I went in because I remember their PS3 4 games for $10 back in the day and bought a PS3 for dirt cheap and wanted some games. When I went in I didn't see a section and when I asked they had a drawer behind the counter with about 5 PS3 and 360 games. Made me feel super old and honestly with how cheap digital games are I think this place isn't going to be around long if they don't start buying and selling classic games like a Gamer's or something like that. There was one person working there that seemed to be really busy scanning games so I constantly heard that beep the scanner makes. It's was sad, I used to worship this place and now it's just a sad relic of the changing of the times.

Negative experience: horrible that a small ding in a controller costs 50 dollar difference for a trade in when I was told it would only be a little amount, then when it’s 91 dollars trade in credit it goes to 56 dollars cash, so for a ps4 and a controller I got 56 dollars, then basically robbed me on 90 dollars, thanks game stop!

Fantastic experience: Changing rating from 1 star to 5, the doors were locked at 5:30 and the store closes at 6 pm. Sign was left “out to lunch “. I figured someone was just screwing off but doors opened guy who helped me was awesome, got my game and more then expected on trade in store credit.

Negative experience: normally I have great experiences with this gamestop but after I was sold a controller that didn’t work I asked if I could return it and get a new one, they told me I could. I went and was dealing with someone who didn’t know what they were doing and he told me I couldn’t return it but could get trade in credit which wasn’t even barely enough to make a dent into the price of a pre owned controller and he only told me this after I had already traded it in.

Fantastic experience: Ordered my Oculus quest 2 from there and was going to pick it up but was running a little bit behind my GPS had me getting there at about 9:03 and I knew they close at 9:00 I called ahead and spoke to the gentleman that was working and he let me know that he would stay a couple of extra minutes to allow me to make it in to pick up my Oculus and when I got there to pick it up he was very nice and I just really appreciate going the extra mile for me

I'm glad you're closed so I can go buy the game for $10 more digitally because it's not a waste of my time, unlike every time I've been to this Gamestop. Negative experience: I went in to pick up a copy of mario kart 8 for my switch, I got the game and it went fine, they had to look around for the actual game for a bit but it was fine. And then the experience hit a wall. They checked me out, and started tossing around all these terms and next thing i know my total went up to $78.. woah. and i’m still young so I just thought that was how it went. but i looked at what the totals were and they had signed me up for a power up rewards pro membership. I asked multiple times if I could just get the game. but another dude came by and i had a trade in card, and he recommended that, so i handed it over. but i still ended up paying in full. I still feel very uncomfortable after that visit

Negative experience: If I could give out no stars I would in a heart beat. Unfortunately you have to pick stars to rate so here we are. 1 star. The store manager was rude. Upon walking into the store, I was greeted with “Be with you in A WHILE.” Wow thanks. Glad there was a solid three other people inside the store. Made me feel like an inconvenience. Did not feel welcome. You should share positivity and good vibes with fellow gamers but they were far from reaching that goal. Stop by Walmart where at least you will be greeted with a smile.

Negative experience: Can come here to get new games or over priced used games and collectibles. Employee knowledge seems limited, for instance I asked if an extension cable would work for both the nes classic mini and the snes classic mini which the reply was no they would not bc the plugs were different. Of course I get home only to find out they are the same. This does not seem to be one off and I could give other examples.
