Negative experience: UPDATE: Went back to do a quick trade in and...no change. Same guy who accused me of flipping him off was still acting rude (even a complete demeanor change the moment he saw me), and from my girlfriend purposely was taking a long time during the trade in process. Making sure I don't come back to this one again, hopefully the review boosting they are doing is worth it lol. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Gonna be skipping this one from now on... Honestly, guy with the long wavy hair is hella rude, and the new guy they got in the black hair is just plain unfunny. Like why act all offended acting like I flipped you off? Joking or not, really unprofessional in general. Store also feels extremely crammed as well. As someone who used to shop there a lot (and even bought the warranties, yes ik that helps metrics), I won't be going there at all anymore.
Fantastic experience: Awesome staff always great service and always polite! I now buy all my items here at this store!

Negative experience: I was in GameStop earlier today. I wanted to buy cases of sports cards. Anyways I went in walked straight to cashier area. There was an employee on the phone with a disgruntled customer because he was being apologetic on the phone. When he finished his call, he jumped right on the computer in front of him. He had the phone on his ear I think pretending to still be on it. I’ve been waiting there for a good 5 minutes. I hadn’t even gotten the time of day from this man. So I decided to ask him if there was someone else there to help. He then stated that he has his man in the back on lunch. I thought to myself well are you going to help me? But no he just stood there doing whatever he was doing not even being smart enough to tell me “sorry I’ll be right with you or something” You know acknowledge me. So I just walked out. I’ll take my money somewhere else.
Fantastic experience: Never had any bad experiences at this local gamestop. Staff is always amazing, especially Patrick. You can tell this is a man who enjoys his job. Patrick typically opens for the pokemon drops and given the lines and people that show up for these events, he's always remained professional and happy. I've witnessed this individual go above and beyond to ensure the safety of the customers during the mega evolutions drop, and that drop was a hectic one, but no one got hurt. Thanks to this man's thinking about the lining up process, I wasn't trampled for fancy cardboard.
Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Be prepared to wait forever. Skeleton staff, and the staff present not helpful at all. The manager is just as useless.
Negative experience: This has got to be the most cockiest employee ever. Silly Guy Pissed me off the way he talked to me. He needs to learn to show more respect!! I'm a Marine corps veteran the way he talked to me was enough for me to take him outside and handle him

Negative experience: Ben is bad vibes. Selectively polite to some folks and flat-out rude to most. Don't know what his problem is but he is very bold and border-line bullies customers to try to sell them stuff or acts like any question you ask him is the stupidest question ever. I try to disarm people like him with kindness, but it's like talking to a wall with a superiority complex. I've come here several times and dread any time he's there, which is almost every time. Luckily, most of what I had to do yesterday was a trade-in with another employee named Jose, who was actually very helpful and nice, but I wanted to make a purchase with my trade-in credit after I got out of line to decide what I wanted and Ben did the transaction. He asked if I wanted to buy a warranty for a controller and I said no and he said with a cocky tone, "okay, see ya in a couple months when you want to trade it in for stick drift." Mocking my decision to my face as if the product I'm buying is going to break right away--ew bro, get out of here with that. This is what quota-based service results in. I just clicked my tongue and gave him a disapproving smile. Got out of there soon as possible after and never going back there again. During my trade-in I wanted to trade in some switch joy-cons I wasn't using for a while but they weren't charged and Jose was trying to see a solution and asked Ben for assistance who said, clearly bothered, "Did you bring your switch? If there's no way to test them, we have to enter them as defective." If that's GameStop's policy they lost another customer if they give someone the leeway to act like a jerk to customers. Sucks that there's no way to report employees like this to the company. Locations get avoided for employees like Ben. I sure am avoiding this place at all costs now, which might be what Ben wants, but I don't think that's how GameStop would feel...
Negative experience: They push their membership so hard, I said no thanks, then they continued to push the membership. No means no! Stop trying to entice me on something that I don't care about! Y'all don't listen!

Negative experience: An employee tried to scam me into getting a membership by saying “ if you add your phone number you hat 5 percent off “ and did not tell me it was a subscription, Michael. I noticed that he had added a fee and then he tried to accuse me, saying I knew it was a subscription.. Such a shame since all the employees there are very nice but this is unacceptable behavior many of the people behind me in line actually left the store because they were afraid of being scammed. I’m pretty sure the reason why you did. This is to earn a commission.

Negative experience: These guys working here are obviously holding stock in the back claiming that there are no more cards in stock. The day of release for the Pokemon illustration card promos I arrived when they opened, the employee claimed that he had not checked to see if they got the promo cards... on the day of release your promoted product is not available?? I told the employee that I would just call later on to see if its there so I don't waste my time driving back for nothing, so I call a few hours later then this store claimed that there are no Pokemon cards in stock or found in the back. I just cannot even trust this store for anything anymore at this point and this being my only local Gamestop it makes me not want to spend my money there period.

Fantastic experience: I had made a call to this GameStop to get some questions answered over their process of shipping out cards to get graded. The employee who answered the phone, Hector, was so incredibly helpful and very knowleged in the process. He made everything easy to understand and it was very informative and helpful. Negative experience: The employee with the goofy shaggy haircut here should be fired immediately. He is by far the rudest employee I’ve ever dealt with and he didn’t seem knowledgeable about anything I had Questioned him about. By far the worst salesman/employee GameStop could’ve hired. He had Bad attitude and just seemed like he was unhappy in life. I walked in on 12/30/24 around 5:45pm for the record. I hope he gets an attitude check from a superior manager asap. That was the last time I plan to visit that location.

Negative experience: I've tried calling many times now, and no one will answer the phone. They can't be that busy to where they can't answer the phone after trying to call for the 10th time in a row. Just need to ask a simple question, but God forbid they answer the phone.

Negative experience: dont even try to call them they wont answer ive been calling for 3 days and no answer and also trade in prices they rip you off literally only a couple bucks on something $60+
Positive experience: Could not do the happy return for some reason. Their scanner wouldn't pick up the code but I took it somewhere else and it worked just fine.

Negative experience: Went to go pick up Jedi survivor deluxe edition, come to find out they couldn't find the 7 copies. I had pre-ordered it and haven't gotten an update. They wanted me to cancel my order so I have to go look at other GameStops to see if they have an extra copy.

Still a more enjoyable experience than some of the GameStop's in NorCal.

Stating "i know what's in the back back i cant just manufacture it back there" at that point i just left dont feel the need to argue with a person who doesn't want to do their job.

Fantastic experience: My boyfriend and I love coming in here. I love sorting through the clearance rack in the back of the store for cute shirts or sweatshirts. They always have stuffed animals for either Super Mario or Minecraft.

Negative experience: Called them but would not pick up the phone. So we drove there. It was not busy at all. Purchase an Xbox power supply, not in stock. Employee said it will be delivered in 2 to 5 days but it may take longer. Expensive items ship faster then inexpensive ones. Literally walked out the door, my son changed his mind walked back in and they would not give me a refund. Employee said I have to call customer service which is closed. Called the store back while sitting in my car to ask a question,they would not answer the phone and no one was in the store.
