Negative experience: Came into this store to buy and trade my switch however I couldn’t get a word in over the managers rambling regarding her not normally working at this store and only making $11 hr and how she broke her jaw when she was 10 (much more was said) and the constant puffing of her vape in my face. This has to be some type of joke, I find it hard to believe this person actually worked there.

Negative experience: The black guy that works here is SO LAZY. He doesn't welcome you in, doesn't want to help, and also rushes you when you're the only person in the store because he wants to go on break. The skinny guy with the glasses and long hair and Arizona are really nice, but I haven't seen them in a while. I hope they haven't left. The guy I mentioned is awful, and gives the store a bad name.

Negative experience: Very rude employee was fixing his car in the parking lot. He was upset because a customer dared to show up in the middle of the day. He had a crappy car with big rims on it.

Fantastic experience: This is the best Gamestop in Charlotte, both in terms of customer service and with their inventory selection. The female employee (I believe her name is Arizona) is incredibly helpful, and easy to work with. Gamestop needs more employees like her.

Fantastic experience: Simply put, the best GameStop in Charlotte. The store is large, well-stocked, and clean. Also, the employee that helped me had great social skills, took extra time to explain my options regarding an out-of-stock Switch accessory, and actually walked over to the Switch accessories and explained the differences in the various cases & bags available. Really great experience, thank you!

Negative experience: Bought a controller to pick up online, got to the store just to be told they don’t have it, tried to cancel my order and tried to charge me for another one that was $20 more expensive, despite being the same controller. $90 wasted. Negative experience: It’s the way I walked in at 7:45 9/20/2023 tonight to only quickly look at Pokémon figures to see if they had one specific figure bc I’m on the hunt for one in particular. I had no idea when close was, and I had looked over the Pokémon merch within four minutes and right when I was telling my partner it was time to go as he was looking at other merch by the door we had a very unpleasant experience with one of your workers. Keep in mind, I used to work and mange retail stores I know how it is. As he was making one final pass towards a stand by the door suddenly one of your employees, a woman working that night says loudly and stares at us while speaking to her co worker. “We close in ten minutes” she then sprayed herself with a ton of perfume and said right in front of us, “time to scare these customers out.” I wish it was on a joking way but her expression of pure annoyance told me other wise. My partner and I stared at her and each other before we immediately turned to leave. Never have been made to feel so obviously unwanted or unappreciated, as a collector that put such a bad taste in my mouth I will never come to check stock there again. I used to work and manage retail…that attitude Is no way to treat customers. I still told her “thank you” as we left to which she simply stared at me and said nothing. Absolutely the worst customer service and not a good face for your company that I love. As we left two large familys came in. I hope they had a better experience and weren’t made to feel unwanted or uncomfortable.

Negative experience: Very misleading location with no integrity. They purposely do not add price tags to certain items and then place them around “like” items with price tags to make you think the price is the same but when you get up to the register the price is always higher on the items with no price tag. For example Pokémon ETB’s, there are 4 different ones, 3 (with price tags) around $40-$45, but the 4th ETB with no price tag is $60. There are other items that are this way in this store as well and you don’t find out until at the register and then it’s embarrassing to have to tell your child that we’re not getting this one because it’s $20 more, while holding up the line and making for an all around bad experience. Management definitely does this purposely because I’ve called them out about it multiple times, but it continues. We all work hard for our money and do not like to be mislead. Just be honest and have some integrity. All in all, put the price tags on all items not just the ones that are cheaper. There are many other stores that sell the same items and I’ll be happy to take my business elsewhere and terminate my GameStop account immediately.

Negative experience: Do not shop here. Do not work here. Management is toxic. If you have been a regular this past year you will notice the entire staff has been cycled out. There is a reason for that. I am not saying don't shop at GameStop. Just not this one. It is not worth it.

Negative experience: Manager is rude. If I'm asking about a game, don't ask me why I want the game or why I'm looking for it. Don't be rude to the people i send to your store to give you business. The normal employees are fine. It's just a management issue.

Negative experience: No wonder amazon is taking over. This store in particular has the absolute worst customer service. The employee whom I had to interact with obviously hates his job and doesn’t want to be there. He shouldn’t work with any customers. After he was rude to me I left and actually worried he would come outside to harm me. It’s pretty sad when you have to worry about your safety when the only other person around you is a store employee. The guy should go work as a bouncer somewhere with his attitude.. not a store with children and families that are trying to just play video games.

Negative experience: Dont go here. These guys are lazy as hell and will literally send you somewhere else just cuz they dont feel like doing their job. This guy named Ron sent me on a wild goose chase just cuz he didnt FEEL like doing a trade in. This isn't even the first time this happened. I went to another shop and they said a bunch of customers were sent there cuz they lied about not being able to do trades. THEN I had to go back cuz they had a product the other shop didnt have. And the same guy RON SOLD ME A PRE OWNED CONSOLE FOR FULL P R I C E

Negative experience: Chris, the new store manager is the most belligerent,.condescending, pompous, and arrogant manager I've ever encountered at this location. The game advisor Said, wasn't as unpleasant as Chris, but he still should have focused more on the customer in front of him (me) than the 3-4 people that came after me. It's funny, all I was trying to do was trade in my Switch for STORE CREDIT, but some how a task that's 5 minutes MAX, turned into a 30 minute ordeal; because I was skipped, over and over again. I actually had to speak up for myself, in an aggressive manner because 3-4 customers were taken care of before me, and they came in AFTER me. I understand trading in a system is more complicated than trading in games. So, I was calm and collected when the first person skipped me, but once it hit 3-4, there is clearly a blatant problem here. I am not the type of person to go out my way to complain about something unless it was egregious, and this fits the bill. Needless to say, I will never return to this Gamestop (which I have gone to for YEARS) until they get new management.

Negative experience: The cashiers at this store are douches. I got $18 and $20 for PS4 controller trade-in two different times at a different GameStop. Here I only got $11 for controller less than a year old with no defects. I even saw him switch it from $15 to $11.

Negative experience: This store Mgr. is not concerned with customer service only taking in money. The staff minus the Mgr. does try to give good service. They mark things up weekly especially around Christmas.

Positive experience: I don't know any Gamestop locations where the service isn't good. My worst customer service experience at a Gamestop was 10x better than just about any retailer out there. This location has helpful attendants, and very knowledgeable as well. The store is on the smaller side and a bit cluttered but that's to be expected from some of this franchise.

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this location. Even when I lived in Chesterfield I went out of my way just to come here. They always seem to find the right management and I always find myself talking to the guys for a bit. This really is a one of a kind gamestop and I've been coming here for years. I've been to several other locations plenty of times and I'm always treated as if I'm bothering, like how dare I come here. But these guys, are great. Truly care for them all. While there are certain things that are corporate controlled, I get it, these guys are very genuine. I'm sorry guys, I cant remember your names as much as I come In there, but the older black gentleman with the glasses is such a joy to see. I love talking about your video game collection because were in a similar boat, never got to expierence it as a kid so we choose now. And the middle aged white gentleman with glasses, gives the best next gen advice. You get technical and in depth while talking about a game and pros to cons. All in all. If you want the right guidance then come here. These guys a knowledgeable, know what they're talking about, and are always a joy to see. From Lancaster, Sc to Kannapolis this is THE GAMESTOP to visit.
