Negative experience: Went in, was slow the tall man with facial hair said hi to everyone but me and my children & continued to say hi everyone else that walked in. Only acknowledged me when my double stroller tapped a shelve and yelled careful…. Twice Didn’t feel like my business was welcomed or at all. Even leaving after I walked passed he said nothing but someone was walking in and he acknowledged them and even said have a good day to another customer leaving behind me. Very poor service was looking at purchasing. A new system with games but going to go elsewhere. Partially think it’s because of me been Hispanic I received this service. As everyone else was white.

Negative experience: Bought an OLED switch. Yes it was used so expected scratches but the joycons were broken and had nail polish all over them and the screen had a huge chunk taken out of it. Had a 4 hour drive home just go back to my local GameStop to get a replacement. The person at my local said it should’ve been sent to a warehouse instead of being resold for a cash grab. They also apparently were supposed to sign me up for a free membership and I didn’t get that either till I went to my local store. There were also things missing from the box that I should’ve had.

Negative experience: Bought a refurbished controller, it was bad. Exchanged it at GameStop Maplecrest with no issues. This controller had a stuck button. Returned it for exchange at glenbrook location. This lousy employee tried to say we had to use our 1 year purchased warranty to exchange. Don't buy anything here, ever. The employees are either braindead, or their store policies are terrible.

Fantastic experience: Quite possibly the best GameStop location in town: I’ve started collecting figures this past Summer and began frequenting this location and big time kudos to the store manager. The store cycles, not only product, but shelves and kiosks within change or move often enough (especially when there’s been a fresh influx of products coming, new releases, pre orders, etc) that the store is frequently feeling refreshed or having a different look upon walking in. Shawn recognizes their patrons, and does a great job with cycling the store, products, and hiring employees that also have a willingness to help the customer find what they’re after.

Negative experience: Buyers beware! GameStop is a joke. No wonder they are going out of business everywhere. I bought a Xbox controller 3 days ago with a $50 GameStop gift card and $15 off my debit card and came in to return it with receipt! Wouldn’t give me refund or in store credit! Pathetic business practice. Truly a scam!

Negative experience: Waited in line for 45 minutes while the two workers talked to every single person about their transactions. The manager was at least trying to upsell GameStop benefits. The white haired guy, Chris, was talking to each person about his favorite aspects of different games. People just wanted to buy products and leave, but they couldn't without discussing their choices with either worker. Customers were noticably uncomfortable when they couldn't finish their transactions without hearing a tangent from either worker. Average transaction per customer felt at least 8-10 minutes long, while there were at least 20 people in line. I haven't ever had a store put me in such a bad mood. There are other GameStops in Ft. Wayne. Choose a different one and avoid the interrogation at the mall.

Positive experience: Due to digital games physical games are slowly going away. Game Stop still has a large collection of physical games but prices across the board are far too expensive. They do have a decent collection of collectibles to purchase.

Negative experience: Notice how so many people on this thread comment about “the guy with spikey white hair with tattoos” Literally the most passive aggressive person you will talk to. Instead of taking care of the customer, he will debate semantics with you on who, what, where, how, and why your purchasing a product or returning a product.

Negative experience: If the guy with dyed hair is working when you're planning on shopping at the Glenbrook GameStop, just go to Jefferson Pointe instead. I was in today, trying to buy Pokemon cards, because a lot of surrounding stores are either completely out, or don't have the new sets. Before even getting to the register, I noticed the guy was on his phone. At the register, the transaction was going fine until he stated that my PowerUp Rewards membership had expired. I told him that I didn't need to renew today, and he asked if I was sure, because the membership would "pay for itself", meaning with discounts and rewards. I said again that I would wait, because renewing was not a priority today. I just wanted to buy my cards and leave. He then had the audacity to ask WHY I did not want to renew today. It is not the cashier's business why a customer does not want to renew a membership. They should not be asking a customer this. I once again said no thanks. My husband even chimed in and said we did not want to renew. The cashier had the gall to ask, "Can I get a word in?" No. You've lost that privilege. He should have dropped it after the second time I said no. My husband and I have both worked in retail, we understand when cashiers have to push credit card sign-ups or membership renewals. It's a disgusting behavior created by companies. I'm used to getting asked a couple times at other stores. But when a customer says no, no thank you, or I don't want to do that right now, the cashier needs to respect that and drop it. My husband asked if I wanted to go somewhere else, and I said yes, and in my anger, I may have said a few choice words, but I feel like they were provoked, thanks to his behavior. From the looks of a few other Google reviews and Facebook posts, many other people have had problems with this particular employee here. Some of the bad reviews date back five or six months. He's definitely driving customers away from your store.

Negative experience: It took me a minute to think about this review. I made a couple transactions at this place seen the associates. I figured them to be some what knowledgeable in some aspects and they are. The reason for one star is I had to bad experiences at this particular store. Black Friday I wanted to assist a friend to trade in a Xbox One X for an X series S. I believe his name was Chris tried telling me that my machine was more powerful than the what I wanted to trade in for. Bruh. I brought this 6 year old xbox one x to get a new one and your about to argue about specs with me alright cool whatever. We got the Xbox. I also pre ordered Callisto Protocol and ordered the wrong version. It was a hinest mistake so I figured I would take it back see if I can get the updated copy for my Series X. It was a Thursday and dead in the store. I was literally only person there . This short dude, looked me dead in and told me I could not exchange it for the updated copy it was too early to do that. Don't understand that policy or whatever when I am literally asking for the same game. No reason was given or whatever. I sold it to MEGA REPLAY out of frustration because it ran bad.. Didnt even try to compromise or assist with the problem. Like man put yourself in my shoes. Its annoying already that games are expensive and your telling me i cannot trade towards the updated version ?? Twice I had to put up with incompetence. Simple stuff. It was very frustrating I encourage those who come here to know your stuff. They get away with petty tactics and at times have smart remarks. I reccomend just going to a different location. You may leave unhappy or questioning whether you spent your time wisely at this store.

Negative experience: Stood at the register for 10 minutes trying to purchase a game with my wife and sister in law. The clerk noticed we were there but refused to work the register instead choosing to talk to a friend about keyboards. Atleast 3 other customers entered and left without the clerk ever acknowledging there were other people in the store.

Positive experience: The Pokémon Crown Zenith ETBs are wayyyyyy overpriced! They are trying to rob people that don’t know any better. They price matched me though but had I not known I would have spend $15 more on a $49.99 product. The employee then wouldn’t shut up about signing up to be a GameStop power rewards member to get a some money off off their overpriced Pokémon cards. In the end if they don’t price match this membership is so stupid.

Negative experience: I was told the wrong information about Power Up Rewards when trying to buy one game and ended up spending way more money than what I had originally planned. The cashier was incorrect when saying some of the money would go back onto my card the next day. I called the store manager explaining the situation and wanting some of my money back and he denied the plausibility of my circumstance, completely claiming that he knows his employees and that offense would be grounds for termination. He lied about being able to get a refund on the Power Up Pro after becoming very hostile with me. Overall really bad experience in the store and with customer service, I wouldn't recommend ever going here.

Negative experience: Came in to look at Pokémon products and the worker with the dyed hair and arm tattoo followed me around the store the whole time. Eventually he told me he didn't think he knew what I was looking for because I am a girl. I found this highly offensive and when I picked out an elite trainer box he told me I should reconsider buying that one. I will never be back to this location! I left without purchasing.

Negative experience: Guy with dyed hair and arm tattoo is probably the worst salesman ever. If you want to go in and buy a product you shouldn’t have to argue with the cashier on why you want it. Recommend getting that fixed. First time I had to verbally argue with a coworker to buy a product. Oh and the bigger guy was right by his side rubbing his back trying to back him up

Negative experience: Manager with dyed grey hair and tattoo lied and tried to charge $5 for a free promotional card for my disabled client who was there. Made fun of stutter. Called Jefferson Pointe to ask if it was free, they said it was free company-wide. He threatened to call security for me saying that he lied. He wanted to pocket the money. Never visiting Glenbrook Gamestop again, only go to Jefferson Pointe.

Positive experience: The staff was very helpful in understanding of someone re-entering the gaming culture. I'm not sure how to compare the prices but they seemed reasonable. The location is iffy because of construction by that entrance at the mall as of March 2022

Negative experience: Worst place ever bro the gamestop on Jefferson a whole lot better i just called them bout 10 times the first couple times i called it just keep ringing bout the 7 time someone picked up the phone and hung up and didn't even say im sorry we are busy at the moment or nothing just hung up, and they are open they don't close till 6 i called at 5:32 tbh in my opinion if you don't wanna do your job and answer the phone you don't need a store i feel nothing but disappointment, id y'all don't my money ill take it somewhere else

Positive experience: They were very helpful. One of the staff members messed up my address on my shipment. I called in a day later and was easily helped to get the issue resolved. Prices are hiked up here but it's expected from gamestop.

Fantastic experience: They had it all. From Garfield Kart to Big Chungus on PS4; It was all there. The nice guy who ran the store asked if I wanted to pre-order Sonichu for the PS5 and I would recommend everyone say yes. The all-you-can-eat salad and lobster-tail bar is what did it for me though. If you want to dine in luxury and get a hot stone massage, there's no place like here.
