Experiencia negativa: Bought refurbished Xbox, huge mistake. Right after 30 day return window Xbox keeps crashing when trying to play most games. Sure could have bought warranty, I don't normally do that as the cost over long term is almost as much as another product. One assumes a product would last more than a month or two. Cancelled pro membership never doing this mistake again I stick to big box stores that help customers.

Experiencia negativa: I went to this store and bought a ps4, and immediately after we had an emergency and had to go out of town for almost 3 weeks. When we came back. I started playing my PlayStation and started noticing problems after playing it for about a week, I took it back to find out that my warranty is a week out and now my PlayStation and controller don’t work, I spent over 300$ and only got to use it for a week and a half. I have been with GameStop for 6 years and I am leaving after this.

I get this is a job, but I have felt discouraged from asking for help on anything. I never write reviews, but this abrasiveness has been consistent for all of my visits. I probably won’t be coming here again.

Experiencia negativa: I came to sell my Xbox and finished the process and was getting paid by a female associate when this male associate came from the back and stopped her and made her hold me up when I was pressed for time and told her she couldn’t pay me in the cash she was trying to cash me out and had to call tech support and redo the transaction so they could pay me out on the prepaid debit card. I’ve been here for well over a hour and have a very important appointment that I calmly explained to both sales associate. And all they did was apologize and continued to make me wait for another extended amounts of time. Couldn’t get any customer support on this. I’m very disappointed.

They wonder why GameStops are closing down because the customer service is horrible. When I get my cards back this will be the last time I come to this store

Experiencia fantástica: I came on December 17 around 3 PM and the worker was extremely helpful. Explained a lot of things to me that I was unsure about since my son is the gamer, not me. There also was a couple games on sale at this location That were a great price.

Experiencia negativa: Presses you to get a preorder so you aren't hunting games after launch. So decide to preorder--and then all of the sudden, they don't have your preorder for going on a week now. And they don't pick up the phone when you are calling to inquire. I gotta stop giving this company a chance. I keep getting burned
Experiencia positiva: It was a day of spending lots of money but the enjoyment of the gifts are well worth it I bought an Xbox controller and headset and love both of them dearly. The store clerk very respectful made plenty of eye contact and greeted me immediately when I walked in the door. He recommended a few headsets and controllers and we talked it over and I made my decision and I'm very happy with the product that I received.

NOW gaming products are just expensive controllers 59+ headphones 70+ I never realized how expensive gaming products could be.

Experiencia negativa: I am currently in the GameSpot location on Fowler Ave. And I can say the atmosphere is always bad when Mike works. We are frequent customer who come and spend tons of money. It doesn't matter how many times I return a game a warranty is always purchased at the time as well so it shouldn't be an issue to return a game that doesn't work in my game system. Mike has poor customer service skills to any type of store manager. He needs to work on his people skills.

Also sold me a freezing battlefield 4 disc ( knowing I'm a pro player ) and Cod WW2 takes 3 hours 2 update.. they saw me cry of anger and frustration as they continue to attempt to move me out the way before the tournaments.

Experiencia fantástica: 5/19 was in trying to pick up a copy of Tears of the Kingdom. The cashier was trying his best to help out the situation that was...going on...when I walked in. There was some sort of controller purchase issue, and the customer was running in and out interrupting the transaction multiple times, yelling at the cashier. Poor guy, the customer is not always correct. And she wasn't.

Experiencia negativa: Attempted to trade in a Xbox console and was rejected due to the controller not meeting GameStop’s “standard”. The employee said the analog sticks didn’t have enough grip/too worn. The sticks were worn down a bit yes, but all of the rubber was present and the controller worked fine. I questioned their analysis and stated that the controller is still in working condition. They insisted that I would have to purchase a controller and include it to move forward with the console trade. This would significantly lower the trade value that I would have received. I declined and drove 20 mins to another GameStop where I had no issues with the trade in and received full trade value. When a customer is buying used goods, they don’t expect perfect condition products as long as it’s free from major defects and is working properly. Thanks for wasting my time s.

Experiencia negativa: ZERO Stars. Warning. This location is charging $4 to print out an Amazon label and blames it on Amazon. I called Amazon, Amazon does NOT charge for printing labels at any UPS store. Amazon only charges if you request labels to be sent to your home. This location is ripping people off. The other thing is, the employees will not get off their phones long enough to help a lobby is full of people. They keep texting while attempting to serve customers. Their texting seems to come before the customer.

I had the email confirmation, the card that was used, and a valid ID that matched the order. They then still refused to give me my order. I had to call corporate and they told me to just go back. Only then did they give me my order. Unacceptable and unhelpful service.

Tried to buy a game and the little guy behind the counter said I did not have any kind of credit towards a game. Why have your employees sell something, if they don’t know what they are selling. Especially if the customer didn’t want it in the first place

Staff was supes helpful, here and at another location, in tracking down where there might be one/some and what they expected in terms of crowds. Thanks to their help I ended up going even though I could get there until an hour or more after opening. After waiting patiently with the rest of the crowd, for what left like another hour I finally got my chance at the register where my forlorn request for an OLED Switch was cheerfully greeted with a, “Let me check… Yes, it looks like we have ONE left, the black with blue and red joy-cons. Would you like that one?” Ah, oh, my, did my heart sing. BoTW here I come.

Experiencia negativa: I have been going to GameStop religiously for 10 years now. I recently moved to Tamp from Northern Virginia and haven’t been to the store due to the pandemic. I been in the store to browse once or twice but the location didn’t have what I looked for which is fine. I had an extra Xbox one controller that I used on my PC. I have a PS5 now and I haven’t used it it since. I decided to trade it in instead of leaving it laying around. I wasn’t expecting much. I looked at the app first and different color controller of the same item were being traded in for cash and credit. The regular base controller was only going to be except for credit. I no longer have a a pro account because I haven’t been to the store like I said in the beginning. The app stated I would get 15 credit and 16.50 for a pro account. I figured I would ask about the cash option in the store. I walked in they greeted me which was fine enough. She asked if I wanted cash or credit I stated cash. She looked it up and said this particular controller was only available for credit. I explained the different controller situation in the app and she stated the cash option was .31 cents. I moved on and asked if I could use the credit to get PSN credit. She stated I have to make sure the controller works which is fine although it still rubbed me the wrong way assuming I would bring in a broke product for trade. Anyway they quote me 10 dollars and it’s just a 5 dollar difference but now it’s the principle of the matter. I show them the app prices. She calls someone else over and now I’m arguing over the 5 dollar difference that their own companies apple application is showing me. They spend 10 mins looking it up. They find the correct sku and ring me out for my trade. What irritates me about this is if they are doing this for a controller how many people are they screwing on other things. Anyway you’re either going to use GameStop or not. My account is like 15 years old and this is probably the last day I’ll walk into one.

Experiencia negativa: I have been a gamestop member for almost 10 years and well I game pretty heavily guess.you could say I take it seriously but if I spend my hard earned money on something I want my worth of course, well i bought a xbox elite controller pre owned of course but what I was not told was that both of these joysticks have drift and have been a nuisance repeatedly and if you know anything about gamestop's policy they dont accept returns or refunds so honestly I wasted $180 on a defective controller that will cost more money to fix then it would to replace.
