Experiencia fantástica: I had a couple of old PlayStation consoles that were sitting around collecting dust and discovered Retro City Games will buy old consoles. I brought them in and they tested and then offered me a reasonable price in either store credit or cash. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the moment I walked into the store. It was super pleasant experience.

Experiencia negativa: I'm giving them a 1 star because they switched games on me. This thing was corroded and the battery was buckled, scratched, my like new wiiu. So, please keep and eye on your things when you are selling here because they are not honest at all.

Experiencia fantástica: These guys saved the day! I live in LA and came to Vegas for a show and brought my DS to pass some time sunning at the pool but I lost my stylus. The regular stores had some but not for my version of DS. Found this gem in Henderson & they totally had what I needed !! Thank you guys for saving my trip

Experiencia negativa: Was excited to visit when I heard of a retro game store near me but unfortunately retro city was just disappointing. The store it’s self was very dirty , workers old food and cups just laying on the counter. Prices were a little higher than other stores/ebay. Lots of great games but missing manuals and conditions aren’t considered when they are priced out since mostly everything was priced as complete in box. Workers also seamed to ignore you and just talk amongst each other and laugh. Overall for a store front it’s just dirty and not what I was looking for with too high of prices.

Experiencia negativa: Worker jordan was very unprofessional and rude, ignored me while I asked for help , then responded as if he was annoyed to do my trade. Trade value was terrible and prices don’t match market. Better to just buy off eBay. Will not be returning to this location.

Experiencia positiva: I've been here a couple of times when visiting family in the area. Somewhat fair pricing compared to eBay (+/- $4) and a decent selection of 8-bit, 16-bit, and portable games. A very large amount of PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox and Xbox 360 as well. I'd recommended a visit, as of 2020, the stock seemed more focused on mainstream retro consoles (NES, SNES, PS1, etc) and last generation games.

When I try calling this business, it says 'full' all the time instead of trying to send an item or the whole item back for return. This is frustrating when no one CLEARS their voice message and they're young people not taking care of this. Will report to the CEO or mgr.

Experiencia fantástica: Retro City is my favorite video game store in Vegas! I’ve been coming to these guys for over 8 years, most of my game and console collection is from this shop. They always have great deals, returns, and the staff is great. Nothing better than finding an old game you’ve been nostalgic for!

Experiencia negativa: Horrible place they had a plush with a hole and they wanted 99$ also they said they would buy my pokemon cards which where worth 300$ including a first edition holographic zapdos and how much did they give me no not 100 not 20 not even 5 they gave me 2$ horrible do not recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: This place has a great selection of vintage hardware, and a selection of physical media that ranges from okay to good, sometimes even great, depending on when you go. The staff members are usually friendly and helpful. I have only been to Retro City Games a few times, but each time, I enjoyed going, even if I didn't find anything I wanted to purchase.

Experiencia fantástica: Wow is all I can say. From walking in we were welcomed by a staff member. My son was in seventh heaven inside the store. We went originally to get 3 Xbox discs to get scratches removed. We ended up buying more games. The staff was very interested in my son’s gaming and knowledge and even recommended some games for him in his realm. We will be back.

Experiencia negativa: These guys can be cool . But when they say they give 50% trade of what they sell your item for. Its a lie. Complete lie . Give you $15 store credit only to sell my guitar in-store at $100. Seems like I'm owed $35 store credit rite ?. You can say it's worth $30 then put it out for $100 . That's a scamm . That's not fair . You can't change prices when buying then put it out for what it does go for when you sell it. That's so ridiculous. They have done this with tons of items. Of mine. It's a scamm guys. Sell on ebay or offer up. Don't sell here. Trust me.

I was super impressed with not only the best prices I've ever seen on used games etc. but the selection and customer service is awesome!!! Staff are very helpful and polite and don't make you feel like a theif or somebody loitering... I'm stoked I finally made it over there and as long as this place is around you'll never see me at Gamestop again.. ✌️☮️

Experiencia fantástica: Incredible video game store with systems and games from current times going back 50+ years. Plush, comics, manga, Japanese toys, and gaming guide books too. This place has dozens of boxes they sort through, price, and put out for display every day so the inventory is constantly updating and changing. Staff is friendly and very helpful, and they often might have discounts or sales (check their Facebook page). If you visit Las Vegas this is probably now the #1 place you need to visit. It’s in Henderson, only 15 minutes by car from the strip.

Experiencia positiva: I was excited with all the games that had for sale, but I didn't see a lot of certain games that I could have bought but that was alright. Even as I heard what happen to the other Retro City Games store made me feel bad for their business, but as I knew I couldn't do anything, I'll be happy enough to come back to buy more games if I ever get back to Vegas. Also, buying Sonic Unleashed for the Wii was worth the price and is in decent condition, although it had scratches, thanks for cleaning it up for free and worked once I booted it up on both my Wii and Wii U. Experiencia negativa: Was verbally told i can return the product as long as it was 30 days, when i wanted to return the product i was told it had to be broken to get a refund and they only could do store credit because i didnt like the product. I guess they forgot to mention that part to me when i asked, but its on the receipt after i purchase.

Experiencia positiva: I bought a ps3 here with some other games and they worked great. Only 2 game discs didn't work but since both were loose discs without boxes and scratched for 1.99$ each , i took the risk and not gonna complain.

Prices are great, staff are very friendly and helpful, and there's a huge amount of products available. The Town Square location is also excellent.

I don't have to play the pricing game like the other game stores, which in the end promotes me to buy more in the end. The staff was very accommodating while I looked over the quality of the sega cd games that I was buying.

Experiencia fantástica: Came across this store after driving all around Vegas for Xbox Kinect equipment. The lady that answered the phone was able to locate everything I needed and put them on hold for me. The store is fully stocked with tons of retro games and equipment, which makes random family night spectacular.

We purchased a retro NES in hopes to "unplug" or kids from the Internet and they love it! I grew up with Mario and Contra (80s kid) and I am thrilled that my twin 8 year olds are addicted to NES Mario bros instead of "tik tok" or whatever... We travel a lot as well and this will be a great addition to our RV on those rainy summer days in the PNW where there's no wifi or cell service...

Experiencia fantástica: By far the best retro video game haven in all of greater Henderson-Vegas Valley. The owner and shop keepers were knowledgeable on a variety of topics, and to top that, I ended up purchasing games at this location when I was merely there to review. The location is a convenient spot for anyone to come to include tourists, neighboring town-folk; While also being a friendly visit for local Green Valley and Whitney Ranch residents. The store has a variety of products ranging from Nintendo, Atari, Sega, Playstation, Xbox and more! Prices are as to be expected for high valued rare items, but from the prices I saw I was also amazed at the quality and care that was taken to preserve the date I say ANTIQUES. Needless to say, if you’re going to spend your hard earned money on retro, vintage, video games- -SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE!

Awesome Staff Good selection ...prices have gone up a little at the new location, but I know the rent is higher and maybe not having as many “steals” is the trade off for the increased space and experience. Sucks but that’s life.. Still plenty steals though! The place is so good even with that complaint I can’t give them less than 5 stars especially if you have ever dealt with the (now closing) Gamer’s Paradise or WiiPlay people who act like it’s a privilege to buy their games at whatever price they say when ringing it up.

Experiencia negativa: Worst place in the universe to sell stuff. My wife who does not know a lot about games took in $160 minimum retail and they gave her $15. They took advantage of her and that is so horrible. Shame on you guys its always that weasel looking guy with glasses he looks like he is the type to rip people off. BEWARE OF RETRO CITY GAMES PROFIT IS MORE IMPORTANT THEN INTEGRITY.

Experiencia fantástica: Great store with incredible prices and variety, went to both stores and this one has a bigger selection of ps1 and ps2 games and retro consoles cartidges, a lot of special edition consoles and more! I spent like 3 hours watching every single item there were, and they even have a section for discs only games that are pretty scratched up that go for about 1$ or 2$ but they even resurface them for you without any extra charge! As it’s obvious some may or may not work even after the resurface process but I’ll say that in my experience 8/10 discs worked! Thanks to these stores I was able to get games that are pretty rare and expensive down here in Mexico for a fair price. I hope I get back someday. Shoutout to the employees who were pretty nice and even showed me some games that I might like based on what I was buying.

Experiencia negativa: Decent sized shop with a lot of cool systems and games unfortunately their trade in prices are awful and if you opt for cash instead of store credit they hit you with a 35% fee. Shockingly I would’ve done better going to GameStop. Good shop to purchase from but for selling your old gear anywhere else is better.

Experiencia fantástica: Love this place!!! Super local and we love that, first and foremost. Can't think of a better place to shop for obscure or obsolete games, systems, and accessories. Gave me a great deal on some Rock Band equipment for trading in some old games and hardware. Now I've finally got the band back together!!! Plus, both locations are fun and friendly with knowledgeable, gregarious staff (almost always ready to negotiate with you and make you a good deal). I'd give them 6 stars if I could!

And they know off the top of there head if your looking for something in particular! Like a Japanese version of Auto Mobilista on PS2! They have alot of Rare and Expensive games and systems also! But they have budget items also!

Tried to speak with the guy there about a couple of games but they seemed disinterested. Every query required a text to someone else to find out. There was a $200 collectors game that I was going to buy, but the guy didn't even come over when asked to talk about it or check condition etc. Great to see all the games - but better service just using eBay.

Never had a single issue at this business and even if I did, the staff is great to the customer and would easily work to resolve it, no problem. Experiencia fantástica: You need to visit this place! Local business selling trading retro games and systems and they are giving fair trades. I had a ton of common stuff that they took for store credit at more than a fair price and there is something on the shelves for everyone. Missing a peripheral like a racing wheel? Plenty here. Need a controller? If you don't mind 3rd party they have tons and sometimes the OEM ones too. I will definitely be coming back to haul some games. Update 1/24/22 still the same great place. I do see they have expanded into Blu rays and movies which is good for those not just wanting videogames. It is becoming a pop culture store in addition to a great selection of videogames.

Experiencia positiva: Been coming here the last 3 years every time I visit Vegas. Great place for older games. Super friendly staff. LGBT friendly. And fair prices. However it is hit or miss if your looking for something specific. If it's there and you want it then you better buy it!
