Experiencia fantástica: Updating in 2026 because I had a really amazing experience there on Tuesday the 17th of March when I went in to trade in my PS5 to upgrade to the Pro version. This store was absolutely SLAMMED when I got there with console trade-ins and high-difficulty sales. Johnny(sorry if it's spelled wrong dude) was professional, attentive to everyone in line, and helpful despite being overwhelmed by so many things to do all at once. I was a shift lead at a now defunct gaming store for a while 20 years back and if the people I worked with were all as good as he is I would have had a much easier time with it. Give that guy a raise! He deserves it! People like him are what's keeping this company afloat.

Experiencia negativa: I literally WATCHED the employee ignore my repeated phone calls. This is the only location open until 9pm near me so I drove to it after calling 5 times and each call going unanswered. When I arrived, the employee was already locking up the front door to leave even with more than 15 minutes still left before closing. I have screenshots and video of her locking up and leaving and everything. Highly disappointed in the unprofessionalism of this employee. Heavier set female with dark hair up in a bun. Definitely reporting and leaving reviews about this.

Experiencia fantástica: I know they've been downsizing, but they're keeping it going in spite of fewer and fewer people still using game consoles. The one I went to had staff who were informative, helpful,and wise, and gave me a fair price for the items I brought in--at a time when I really needed that. Thanks, guys, for having integrity, understanding, and being patient enough to explain how the process works and why they do or do not purchase specific types of consoles and their peripherals. It inspired my trust and respect for you in a world where there is so little of that anymore. Please keep up the good work.

Experiencia negativa: I gave them 1 star only for this location. When we walked in today with a PlayStation to trade in, instead of being greeted with kindness.. we were greeted with “we don’t do trade ins, this has been something that we haven’t done for 9 months” as if we knew this information… she could have said “hi, welcome in.. I just wanted to let you know that unfortunately we can’t do trade ins at this moment due to our system.. but I can certainly provide other locations that do that?” No, it was straight to the point. “We don’t do trade ins” very rude and not customer service friendly.

Experiencia negativa: Customer service is terrible from both ladies working. No greeting when I walked in, just an 'I will be right with you'. No one else was in the store. The Return Policy is understandable, but how about explaining without an attitude. Communication was horrible and aggressive. I recommend a different location. Better service received at the Market street location.

Experiencia negativa: The store refused to return an opened product one day after purchase and also brought the receipt. The claim is that they do not take back cards - the store clerk confirmed on exit that we could return them. The receipt does call out that trading cards are non-returnable. Also, right before that, it does say unopened new products are returnable.

Experiencia negativa: Very expensive place. But they had a lot in stock. Doesn't open tell noon which is crazy to me. Worst part is they went from 5 stars 2 months ago to 2 stars. The employees can't figure out what's going on anymore and barley know how to work the computer. Don't go on the weekends the lady that works is to stressed out and gets confused really easy, also takes about 15min per customer. I am now driving to a diffrent location to do my pre orders.

Experiencia negativa: Multiple times now, I’ve gone hoping to buy a game only to see the store shuttered up well over an hour after they were supposed to have opened. Do they not want people to spend money? At one time I waited another hour until a whole one employee finally showed up, took another half hour to open up shop, then told me the reserved copy of the game I’d preordered that was supposed to be ready to pick up that day actually wasn’t in stock. It was RELEASE DAY. Completely ridiculous.

Experiencia fantástica: This is always a great place to go. Super friendly staff. Very knowledgeable on games although not usually the best price around sometimes you can find deals. If you are picking up a game day 1 and not waiting for it to go on she this is the perfect place but if you are looking for any discount you can usually find it cheaper somewhere else. That said they keep up on all things video games. I haven't met an employee that wasn't a gamer themselves and at launches I've seen many of the employees waiting on line with the rest of us to get the new game. When understaffed I've even seen them after grabbing their game clock in to help for an hour to get everyone else their game since only one person was put on checkout.

Experiencia negativa: Contacted customer service after having signed up on their notification list and wasn't notified when they released the Ps5s they had for launch day. C.S. rep told me there was no such list? Then texted me a link to sign up on the same list that "didn't exist?"!!! I sent her a screenshot of the list and asked her if that wasn't a list and received no more responses from her? (Great customer service right?) Then to top it off it seems she banned me somehow because everytime I try to go to a gamestop website it tells me access denied,!? WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! (Edit:11/16/20) Received a "reply" from a different C S. Rep. Apologizing for the miscommunication and telling me that the list was for future game notifications not for the P.S. 5 release. I responded with a screenshot of the page which had a large P.S. 5 logo on the top and under that it said 'signup for notifications" and Then I commented that I was sure she could see why people were confused to begin with and that just maybe they should consider moving the notification sign up to a different page''....they still never moved it as far as I know. (Update) To make matters even worse, they're now forcing their customers that want to buy a Playstation 5 console, to buy it in a "package" with certain games and accessories to further line their pocketbook! They refuse to sell just the consoles themselves!? Way to gouge your customers Gamestop!

Experiencia negativa: I went in there today and asked if I could do a warranty exchange on my controller, but my box with receipt was lost and I was told my warranty was on my power up rewards account so it can be looked up. The employee was very rude about the whole deal and told me “even though you have insurance, that doesn’t guarantee you a new controller” whats the point of getting insurance then?

They always give us recommendations on how to get the best deals on what we are purchasing and that's something you just won't find at the larger stores like Wal Mart or Target. Our boys love coming here and we wouldn't go to any other location because that's how awesome they are.

Experiencia negativa: Called at 5:57 to see if they could pull a game for me on a Sunday when I was a minute away just to save time. Was told they already closed out all their computers by Shana. Pulled up at 5:59 and the place was locked down and shuttered up. I guess they mean they want to leave at 6:00 at this location, not close at 6:00. My husband worked at Gamestop for a year, his store never closed 5 minutes early. Lazy employees and definitely not the first time we've had an issue here.

Experiencia negativa: Prices were abysmal. Service was terrible. to give you an idea, I was carded buying the new cod, because you have to be 17 or older. I'm 24, I have a full beard, I was in my work uniform, and I was buying 200$ worth of other merchandise. Apparently GameStop doesn't carry xbox live gold membership cards, either? There's better stores nearby.

Experiencia negativa: Milan spent 15,000 of my points to renew my membership for "free" after I told her NO last week. 15,000 points takes spending $500-$1500 depending on your membership level and I was saving my points for something else which now I can't afford as I'm 15,000 points short. They care more about their numbers than the customers at this location and will take advantage of you. She didn't get so much as a slap on the wrist she probably got a high five for getting another membership sign up. Guys at another location told me she's a brown-noser and well liked by the higher ups and there's nothing they can do. I recommend avoiding this "prestige" store (especially if you value your points) because prestige basically means they meet unrealistic preorder and membership sign up quotas by taking advantage of customers. I've dealt with other employees at this location several times and had no problems so maybe it's just Milan that's the problem but it's up to you if you want to take that chance. There are plenty of Gamestops around Mesa.
