Experiencia negativa: Nickolas was very lazy, not informative at all either. I went in to buy my son a PS5. He didn’t know what he had on stock. He also didn’t offer a bag and when I asked for one. He had an attitude and told me that they were two dollars. He did not put my PS5 in a bag for me he looked at me and dropped the bag and walked off to help the next customer after I paid for it. Very rude customer service.
Experiencia negativa: Nicholas the store clerk was a complete JERK . He stated he couldn’t find me in the system when purchasing a small toy, I told him I don’t play games so I don’t have an account here. His whole demeanor changed. He had this attitude upon payment even when the kids opened there little Kirby toys in the store and I asked to throw away the SMALL wrappers he looks at me and says “ MY TRASH IS FULL “ who the hell does that . So I just left it there for Nicholas to pickup later on a shelf ….. ( THANKS NICHOLAS, maybe the new trash bag will hold it now) I was planning on coming back to buy my son a switch set for his birthday but no thank you ! Learn how to have some decent customer service ……
Experiencia negativa: First off this is my preferred Gamestop location. I arrived 10min before opening and when they unlocked the doors, I walked in to absolutely no greeting from Nicohlas. I walked up to the counter and said I was interested purchasing a PS5. After a long stare I said soooooo...then he asked if I was interested in some ps5 games so I go to take a look. He then asked if I've had a Playstation before and I replied I had a ps4 pro which a broke due to a part coming off and I asked do you guys do repairs and he promptly said no. I then walked to the register and found a card that said if I need console repaired to give them a call so I took a card. I asked him if he forgot that he had business cards for console repair at his register and he just stared at me and ignored me. He also tried to trick me into purchasing a pro membership after telling me it was free. Gamestop is offering $25 dollars off for purchase of over $200. He attempted to use my $25 off to purchase a pro membership which I declined because I saw he added to my purchase. It wasn't free. After the sell I told him thank you to which there was absolutely no response. He also had the store smelling really bad with whatever he was eating. He seemed absolutely crabby and didn't not represent Gamestop in a way that I'm familiar with. If you don't want to work and represent the company in a good way don't apply for the job. He was no help at all and I felt bad for purchasing a new system from that location. My ps5 seal on the box was broken and I was told Sony sent it to them like that. I was like ok. I was extremely disappointed at the non customer service I received especially when spending $400 plus dollars. He could be retrained on how to treat a customer.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in to the Montgomery plaza location to get the resident evil triple pack. Inhad called before had to see if they had it in stock and Bran said they did. But upon getting there the game was no where to be found. Instead of just giving up right away and blowing me off, Bran actually searched for several minutes to find the wayward game. Sadly it was to no avail, but he did give me other locations that had the game in stock. I really appreciated all that he did to try to find the game. If you are ever in the area, I highly recommend Game Stop in Montgomery Plaza. Way to go.

Experiencia fantástica: I went to Gamestop with my son. That's the only reason I went in there but it was very interesting. There are game cartridges, so many, even adults are into these games.

He didn't even say thank you or good bye, just turned his back on me once he handed me my receipt. Will NOT come here again.

Experiencia negativa: This place is just plain trash! Took the gear I had for my ps4 back to exchange. Cause I had the warranty on it. I know I paid 60.00 for one of the pieces of equipment but wanted to give me 25.00 in value for another one. I pulled off the sticker that was the warranty to show that I paid 60.00, and the dude said o no you need the receipt. But yet the price sticker says 60.00. No wonder GameStop is a 2 star store.

Experiencia fantástica: What a great experience I had with this GameStop store! Was trying to return a sealed game I hadn't opened. Called the GameStop store on menual, trying to return the game and they had to follow 'company policy' because the game was passed its 30-day mark for me to be eligible for a return a sealed game. I went to the one on San Mateo and talked to the store manager. He hooked me up by accepting the return on the sealed game because it was under my GameStop account. He didn't have to do this but he did it anyway! That's what makes this game stop go above and beyond! If you want to go to a cool GameStop come to this one on San mateo!

Experiencia negativa: I normally have a good time at GameStop with friendly customer service but this heshe with pink hair was by far the rudest customer service representative I've ever dealt with she asked me to put up my mass go over my nose which I did and then proceeded to tell me that she had HIV and lung disease with other things that made her extremely susceptible to the Coronavirus I said I've already put up my mask what else would you like me to do about it she was very rude throughout the rest of our Exchange

Then charged me 15 extra dollars for 33 dollars worth of stuff. Let's do some math. 25.00 worth of store credit. Plus another 8 dollars for one and 7 dollars for another so 40 dollers in total for 3 items worth 23.99 and 4.99 and another 4.99 total i think there skiming off the top and I have receipts to prove it. Go some where else this manager if a rip off queen

They said im not allowed to go to this store because he has anxiety, which is absolutely unprofessional. Do not recommend this gamestop as the employees are childish and are rude to customers.

Experiencia negativa: We bought a PS four and we’re told we could return it within seven days for a full refund we were mislead and lied to. One manager told us we could bring it back for a full refund regardless if it’s been opened or not as long it’s as it’s within the seven days. Another manager told us we cannot get a refund at all if it has been opened. We were given false information and taken advantage of .we will never shop at your store again this is absolute horrible customer service!

Experiencia negativa: I have been shopping at this store since 2015. I have always received on par to excellent customer service at this location. Today I came with with my roommate and his girlfriend to trade in a large box of older generation consoles. We had come in a few weeks prior to sell some older generation controllers and were encouraged by the store manager Aaron to bring in our used systems, so we did. However Mathew the SGA on duty and only manager in the store at that time turned us away rather rudely stating that Gamestop no longer accepted anything older than a Nintendo DS. I tried to explain to him that we spent a better part of two hours on the Gamestop app looking up these items before we brought them in, all of which were listed on the app stating that Gamestop is currently accepting theses items, I continued to explain to him that we had more than just a Nintendo DS in the box, but he would not listen. He told us that if is was a PS3, Nintendo DS, or anything made within the last two generations Gamestop isn’t accepting them. We were flat out shocked by this treatment as it wasn’t on par with the service that we have received at this location and come to depend on. Clearly he isn’t interested in providing a good customer experience, wasn’t willing to listen, completely unwilling to look to see what my friends had for trade, and clearly isn’t interested in doing his job. So we took our trades to the Wyoming and Academy store and received stellar customer service experience and the SGA on duty there spent over an hour with us and brought most of what we had available. The kicker is that while we were there another customer came in to sell his older Wii system, but was turned away because there were pieces missing from his Wii, apparently the same SGA Mathew at this location took in trade the pieces the man needed to complete the trade in at this store. Mathew told the man that he could come to that store and sell the rest. Gamestop seriously needs to address there choices in managers and how the handle their customers. There is nothing wrong with informing a customer they can’t do something or can’t take something in trade but to be rude and lie to a customer is a different matter.

Months ago they had some employees that were somewhat rude and unhelpful I like going there now and the past few months starting from October because they have extremely helpful and very friendly employees and they usually have what I’m looking for . This has been my GameStop for a year and a half and I’m not dissatisfied, f they don’t have what you’re looking for they can look up and suggest other stores that have the product you want but a great store.
