Experiencia negativa: Three people working and no one is helping! Line is ridiculously and everyone has to wait on person who decides it’s a good idea to start working on a guest trading a bunch of games and needs to validate them. Instead of working on the line with that have been waiting for some time. I asked one of the employees could he at least look up a game for me since I was at the front of the and they were not helping they looked it up and stated they had the game and instead of getting it they walked away! I stayed quiet and calm and wait another 20min on the line since they told me they had it. Once I was finally! seen they stated that they don’t have it! This was the biggest waste of time !!! I wasted an hour just for 1 question do you have a game and then they tell me no after I wait the long. I did not flip out but I should have! Is it ok for this to happen with 3 people working in the store?

Experiencia negativa: Being charged for Pro membership without my consent! I went in for the new Switch console with a Switch Lite trade-in. While I was waiting for my Switch to be tested, I saw the manager tap the cashier on the shoulder and say, “Upgrade her to Pro.” After he left, I confirmed with the cashier who was testing my console whether the upgrade was free or charged. He told me that since I was purchasing a new console and trading in my old one, the upgrade would be free. After I paid for the new console, I saw a $25 charge for the Pro membership! I asked why I was being charged, and he told me the Pro membership gave me a bonus for the trade-in, so technically it was free. I’m speechless at this point. FYI, the bonus was only $6.60—please help me understand the math on how this makes the Pro membership “free”? I’m calling customer service with a complaint and demanding a solution. Never coming here again. Shame on you guys.
Experiencia negativa: Went to go trade in my switch oled. The worker there told me it would be $67 because of the scruffs that can be easily be cleaned off. The website specifically said $105 it was in perfectly condition. That means it should work with no scratches or anything on the screen and dock. That was my condition with my switch oled. Look elsewhere or even Facebook marketplace.

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience here for pre-ordered systems. There is no reason to pre-order here as they still make people with pre-orders wait while they serve customers who walk-in to buy the same item. I had to wait over 2 hours on a separate pre-order pickup line to receive a fully paid system. Absolutely inane prioritization. To Gamestop corporate: Hire some people who know how to get things moving, those who know industrial engineering practices about process flow. A basic tip: Guaranteed sales with shorter process times(pre-orders) should move significantly faster than non-guaranteed sales (walk-ins). Time parity makes no sense between these two groups. You are trying to gain potential sales and sentiment while completely destroying any positive sentiment or goodwill with existing customers. Ask yourselves which has more monetary and PR value? Anyone in a management position who doesn't know this should be re-trained or let go.

Show up, clerk sells all blooming to 3 guys and didn't hold them. Nice employees but u get what you pay for in terms of workers.

Experiencia negativa: Forced me to buy a game stop pro account to purchase a Switch. Cancelled my online “pickup” order and when I showed up to collect the device, they lied to my face and told me the pro subscription is required even though there was no shortage of the console anymore (late 2024) and no locations implement this practice. Research on Reddit and you will see this is a shady practice unscrupulous GameStop managers employ to boost numbers for corporate.

They said this is the same way at all GameHole locations but really it's just a slimy manager trying to trick customers to get the numbers up. I just went across the street to target instead
Experiencia negativa: Ah man, this was the one Gamestop location I really liked going to. The guys working there are always so nice to talk to and unlike other GS locations I used to go to, they were always honest about the condition of my trade-ins and didnt try to claim defects that didn't exist. I've gone to trade-in at this one multiple times without any issues, I actually went in and traded in some games last week too. That changed today. Unfortunately, AFTER having everything tested and checked I found out the GM of the store implemented a new policy. You can no longer receive cash for your trade-ins, despite the website listing cash, venmo, and prepaid cards as three separate options. They will only give you a prepaid mastercard for the cash value. So if you want cash, now they expect you to take the prepaid card to an atm, pay another fee on top of the value you lose for a cash value trade-in, and then pay the atm fee too. Policy changes are one thing, but to arbitrarily change it within a period of a week without any form of visible notice is incredibly disrespectful to your customers.

I learned that the hard way, when i was already at the store, trading in my old console for the new one. On my remark that there was no such policy mentioned on the website store employee told me to "get it from the website" then. so heads up for you fellow gamers, if you're going to buy something take into the account gamestop membership costs, along with taxes. as a side note, store employees have no respect for privacy and are too pushy when trying to sell. i was told to share my email and phone number with no prior explanation and i had to fish out the reasons.

Experiencia negativa: I bought a Samsung odyssey monitor g30a, it stopped working after a few months. Thankfully I have a year warranty, but when I went to go get it replaced I was told that I have to pay 70 bucks to get it replaced because it went up I price, like how does that make sense I have the warranty what does the price change have to do with me? What’s the point of buying the year warranty if I have still have to pay to get it replaced?

Experiencia negativa: Don't bother calling because they won't pick up the phone. Even if the store is empty. Also, don't show up within 15 mins of closing or the door will be locked and they'll tell you they are closed (with 10 to 15 mins on the clock). As soon as I spend my store credit i'm never spending a dime with gamestop.
Experiencia negativa: Why on Earth would it proper policy to keep items on the shelf that you know are out of stock? All color combinations of Joy-Cons are on the shelves yet the store doesn't have any. How many other products are they advertising for sale that they don't actually have? 2nd star only there because the employee I spoke with was friendly and did his best to help; I don't want anybody at corporate reading this thinks it's his fault. Not his fault the store/company has this ridiculous policy.

I reached the cashier and they said they had sold out and there was nothing that could be done. I understand running out of stock but i know not everyone had pre-ordered. Im enraged that they could not honor my pre-order and then tell me there is nothing that can be done. Not even try to recommend another location for me or give me a possible approximation of when they may have a restock. Horrible service. Never coming here again!

I asked all I could cause the switch Is crazy expensive but I didn't want the lite I wanted the one that hooks up to the TV. Sometimes they got everything sometimes they don't , it's a small store guess that's why but they'll check on the computer for you like they did for me when they said they didn't have the switch game I wanted. They helped with what I needed, it's all I asked for.

Experiencia negativa: I cannot believe that I just got humiliated by the STUPID and ARROGANT store manager. I tried to return two games today. Note that I bought them using a buy 2 get 1 free promotion. I picked the first game very early and it was past the 1-week return period when I requested the return, so I could only return the last two games, which is totally fine. I went to the store today for the return, and the store manager just assumed that I was trying to hassle their system and want to keep my first game for free. I do not care the stupid $40 dollars difference honestly and was ready to only get refund for one game. I did explain my situation to him, but he kept saying that he was the store manager, I cannot do this in his store and that if I want to hassle, go to another GameStop store. BAD PERSON!

Not only that, when I did need her help she made my experience the highlight of what must be a slow Sunday. Thank you, and GameStop should be proud of having someone like this young woman on their staff.
