Fantastic experience: Been coming here since the early 2000s. I live an hr away from this store , and drive out of my way to come to this store specifically because of how great they've always been to me. This store has help me fund some amazing memories between my brother and I growing up, and now my lady and I. I plan on using this store to pick up some xmas stuff for a buddy of mine as well. The staff has always been super straight forward, knowledgeable, and kind. Seeing any low reviews is mind blowing and says more about the reviewers than it does the store. I'll be moving out of town next year and have thought several times how im going to miss this place. I'll be back every visit to the boro. 10/10 place. I love this store.

And they were all well cleaned at a surface level.

Negative experience: I came in with a few Assassin's Creed games, plus Star Wars Battlefront. I tried to trade them in at Play N' Trade, but they didn't want them, which is fair enough. The gentleman at GameTrader took a quick look at them and said he could offer me $3. So I asked, "$3 cash or store credit?" He said store credit, since they were so low in value. So I declined and said that I would take them elsewhere. Then, he condescendingly responded, "You probably won't get anything for them elsewhere." I replied that I'd probably just keep them and left. Overall, the guy just has a short man complex. Edit: My apologies, but I’m not sure who Jamie is. That said, constructive feedback is a natural part of running a business, and being open to it can go a long way in building positive customer relationships. Edit 2: It looks like the owner removed their response — a clear sign they’re not open to handling criticism. Edit 3: They re-added their reply. Not sure what this dude's deal is.

Negative experience: Man had his interaction button stuck, would not leave me and my friend alone, while we were talking... Had to add his own input to our conversation... I didn't know I was in Fallout 76 in real life.. - Welcome Edit to state the facts here: Yeah, nothing like having a private convo and getting fact-checked by an employee who wasn’t even part of it. If you're going to jump into people’s convos, maybe do it without acting like a know-it-all next time pretty please and thank you, and clearly acting the same in your response to the review. <3

Fantastic experience: I knew as soon as I saw Lakitu on the 24-hour surveillance sign on the door that I was in for a good time. This store has by far the largest collection of video games that I have ever seen! Everything from the NES to the PS5 - you name it. Games aren't expensive here, either. The store workers were also very nice and helpful. This place is a must-visit for any video game fan in the Nashville area!

Fantastic experience: I went to the store today to trade in my old PS3 and Finch was able to help me, he is an awesome and very knowledgeable gentlemen. You can tell that he truly knows his stuff on anything related to games and consoles. He is very knowledgable about charging cables and also anything you need to know about anything else that could be related to games and consoles. After going there today for the first time, they now have gained a new customer for any of my game/console needs. They truly do take care of the customer and they want to make sure you leave happy and well informed. I will definitely be back soon to Game Trader!!!

Positive experience: First of all the person who runs this place is amazing, friendly, loves gaming. But compare to the Madison Game Trader it is a downgrade. I feel like anything that doesn't have a lot of value (games, collectibles, systems) get to be over here. The madison one hold all of the valuable stuffs and this one is like their storage for unwanted stuff. Games here are mainly used games and hard to sell/unwanted games, same thing goes to collectibles and systems. Overall it's okay because the guy running this one is awesome.

Fantastic experience: I had one of the best visits today! Kaleena was a helpful and just so sweet. I had a bit of anxiety going into the shop myself since I normally ask my brother to get the games for me but I truly felt welcomed. 10/10 I recommend this job as long as you bump into Kaleena.

Fantastic experience: 100% the best place to get otome game fixings, AND they know what they're talking about. Kaleena, girlies, she gets it, knows exactly what to recommend, and honestly make me feel welcomed too! Other places like Game Stop for sure give the stink eye when it comes asking about visual novel games. But Game Trader? No, they make me feel like I belong as a girl gamer. SUPER LGTBQ+ friendly too, couldn't recommend a better place!

Fantastic experience: Great service, and everyone I go, I find great games. The store is always amazing to be in. It is easy to find where each console’s games are. The consoles are displayed in a glass case which allows you too see them before buying. The pricing is great. It’s a wonderful experience, and I 100% recommend them if you like classic and new video games.

Fantastic experience: Had a really nice experience in there today. The man behind the counter let me see the amibo I was buying up close to make sure I liked the paint job before buying. I also got some gatcha tokens and he made sure to let me know if I got dupes they'd replace them if they had the stock to. He also packaged my stuff really nicely. I'll make sure to come back soon.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful store. New games? Sure! But their old games selection is out of this world. I haven't seen so many old games in good condition in many places. Be it PS1/2/3/4, earlier games for NES or SNES, Sega, even Atari games. They even have the consoles themselves at a decent price!! Definitely will return to furnish my wall of consoles

Fantastic experience: Love this place. I don't even live in Murfreesboro anymore, but any time I'm down there I make it a point to drop by. They have a wide selection of retro games, and if you own a Switch, you DEFINITELY want to come here. They have lots of indie games with limited physical releases, and lots of Japanese imports too (don't worry, the Switch is region-free). And they've got various other things, including vinyl video game OSTs and gachapon machines.

They finished cleaning it first but they hadn't even gotten to clean it yet and they let me buy it. They made it possible for me to find all the titles that I have been searching for.

Definitely appreciated their help so much that I needed to come review it. They also had everything we needed in stock, was a quick trip in and out, definitely recommend coming here first when on a search for anything game related!

Negative experience: Great selection of games but seems like the guys behind the counter pick and choose who to be friendly with. I walked in and they were laughing it up with one guy. Any interaction with me and they look annoyed and give me side eye.

Fantastic experience: Overall great place. Picked up a few great games for cheap because they didn’t have cases (fallout 4, Halo, and KOTOR 2) for my PS4 and OG Xbox. The staff here knows their stuff. It’s not overpriced and they have pretty much everything for retro consoles. The only thing I wish they had more of was OG Xbox accessories. I understand that they don’t make these parts anymore and sometimes can be hard to come by. The main reason I came by was to see if they had a component cable for the OG Xbox but they didn’t have any on the shelves for it which was kind of a bummer. However, I didn’t leave empty handed because they carried amazing games. There’s nothing more fulfilling than actually being able to pick up a game and see the back of the case.

Fantastic experience: Really nice prices, especially on ds and 3ds games, and even pokemon games on switch were only 40ish dollars.

Negative experience: Went there Saturday and bought left 4 dead 2 and was told they would work by one of the workers. I get home today just for it not to work. What a waste of $14.98 down the drain.

Positive experience: I got a game 4 days ago (New) and the kids preferred a different game so we tried to take it back to trade in. The game was $60 but trade in price after 4 days was $25. Less than half of what I paid for it. Someone did say we could get $5 extra if the case wasn't destroyed.(pictures attached). Hardly looks destroyed I felt like the guy exaggerated a bit. I get it, business is business, but it just sucks to see a used game with no case at all be sold for more than what is offered for a game I literally had for 4 days with a case that clearly isn't destroyed. However over all I truly do like this place because they are so helpful and the customer service from the store manager is top tier, this encounter just surprised me because in the past I have always had great trade ins and sells with them. Today just wasn't one of them LOL.

Positive experience: Great selection of games you can't find at other stores anymore. Very helpful staff. They wouldn't buy my old Playstation because the sticker was removed. Those "warranty void if removed" stickers are meaningless and ILLEGAL(Google it) on US products, but apparently Game Trader doesn't know or doesn't care. The consumer has every right to remove any stickers. Fyi.

Positive experience: Game Trader has a lot of retro and current gen games and systems. They even have anime figures, Funko pops, and plushies. It's a small store but they use their space very well. They have a great selection of games, I would recommend going here just to check them out and see what they got!

Fantastic experience: This place has such an awesome selection of old school video games, anime statues, pops, plushies, and video game memorabilia. The people who work here are always so knowledgeable on everything nerdy, and they are extremely nice and personable. This is one of my favorite shops to stop at when I am out and about on old fort. Fantastic experience: Loved this place and the vibe. Lots of options from retro games to brand new. Aftermarket peripherals and traded in Knick knacks like cases for DS’s. I traded in some stuff, and I felt like I made the best choice in where to go. Things that gamers know matter such as original box/cases and sets add value. Keep in mind all places that buy things have to turn around and make a profit so don’t be stingy. Overall I had a great visit, and will make the time to come more often! Finch was super nice like made an already 10/10 experience a 20/10 :)

Negative experience: Bought 4 supposed to be "brand new" PS3 Sony controllers for over $200. Got home 1 didn't work at all. Got 1 month use out of the other 3. Store has tried to get over several times. I'm no longer returning.

Negative experience: Don't do credit here, if you lose your slip they won't help you even though they have the other half ! I lost money. Update your service so it helps the customer. So it ok for me to lose money an him to gain it. Also maybe you should tell people that if you don't have ticket we don't help you before sugusting store credit ! My daughters money for getting a new game, shame on you for now resolving !
