Fantastic experience: Great!
Negative experience: Had paid $30 for a warranty for an elite series 2 Xbox controller and was told I would receive a new one if it broke before the warranty expired. Came to this store expecting to receive a new controller only to be refused both the new controller I was promised and the $30 I paid for this warranty. Was not given compensation of any such. I have been a long time customer of GameStop and have bought countless collector’s editions of games, bought countless game guides, long time magazines subscriptions , funko pops, systems you name it. I am extremely disgusted that this company is so petty as to not honor what was advertised to a customer if not at all refunded what was paid for a service that was lied about DEFINITELY WITHOUT A DOUBT will not go to this store again. Big thumbs down!
Negative experience: This is a terrible location the Manager sucks an everyone there I will never ever purchase anything from this store again.
Fantastic experience: Prices were actually pretty good. Nice selection of pre-owned games too. Gentleman working the store that day was attentive, friendly, and helpful all while being assessed by a manager or some higher-up. Definitely recommend this spot, not sure why it doesn't have a higher rating.
Fantastic experience: Ethan went above and beyond to help my husband with his gift card issue. He took more time than he had to to call and do everything he knew how to figure out how to resolve a problem! We called customer service for hours and got no help. Then once we got him on the phone in the store he heard our issues, waited on the phone while we called customer service back, once he saw how they were treating us he called everyone he knew until reaching a result he knew was right. Thank you so much for your time and compassion! Will definitely be back as long as he’s working there
Fantastic experience: I bought several Xbox360 games and two Super NES games and the young lady there was very professional and knowledgeable and friendly,it was a pleasure going to the store on S.Rutherford,Murfreesboro for a great retro gaming experience!️ will definitely go again! Negative experience: I can only base my review on the level of service I received, which was absolutely none. I called this store over a dozen times over a half hour period and nobody could be bothered to answer the phone. I know it can get busy, I used to work for one, but not for a half hour straight Guess I'm taking my money elsewhere.
Negative experience: We weren’t going to shop in store because there is literally always an issue but we decided to go because it was close. We tried to do a transaction with a gift card and the rest on a credit card, but there was an issue with the card payment going through. After the THIRD DIFFERENT card they still claimed it wasn’t their system and that all of our cards didn’t work, okay. It was obviously an issue with the gift card or splitting the transaction but they didn’t seem very knowledgeable or like they knew what they were doing. Would skip this place and just go online or find a different retailer with better customer service if a gift card is not involved. A gift card was the only reason we even stepped foot in there. All three cards worked just fine for the rest of the day btw. Save yourself the headache.
Negative experience: The person with the pink hair started talking trash about old fort game stop when we mentioned them for something then the other lady did nothing but judge me and make faces every time I said something and got upset when I wanted a game case from the back acting like a child.
Fantastic experience: Went to this GameStop instead of the one on Old Fort Parkway (because of my personal experience from them) and they were better. The lady at the front was nice and she was already having trouble with one customer. So working in the same industry, I knew how she felt. I got a replacement for my $75. I don’t know her name but she was chill. I’m going to that GameStop instead from now on. For those reading this, don’t go to the one on Old Fort Parkway because they don’t care at all.

Negative experience: Genuinely some of the worst customer service I’ve ever had. Walking in there to do anything and the staff acts like you’re inconveniencing them. Cute girl with short hair there though, she can spit in my mouth

Negative experience: My issue with Gamestop is that they never have xbox remotes in stock which perturbs me slightly and they have to order online. I can overlook this but the real kicker is they cannot order a controller over the phone but only in store. This is unfortunate as i do not recall this being 1985 but rather 2024. So i drive to GameStop for them to order the remote then after a few days i have to drive back to pick it up. Let’s order by phone guys from now on please and thanks.
Negative experience: Went to this GameStop to search for a replacement headset for Xbox series. Not really needing help the guy jumped in and "assisted me". He proceeded to tell me that only certain gaming headset would work for the Xbox series s and pointed towards the most expensive ones in the store immediately. He then pointed towards the cheaper ones and said "these are not going to work for Xbox series s". I have never heard of this and I owned a pair which indeed worked just fine. It was very aggressive and money hungry. Will not return to this location

Negative experience: Favorite location but not so favorite experience. I arrived an hour before closing. I was greeted but not assisted until I approached the counter. I normally shop online where I get the BEST deals. It was not busy and 3 members of staff were at glance. I scoured the aisles for about 5 to 7 minutes searching for games on clearance until having to ask for assistance. I was told there were no games on clearance whereas the website says different and to FIND IN STORE. I left shortly afterwards feeling like my time and effort had been wasted. I will probably not return to the brick and mortar.
Fantastic experience: The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. We had to use our extended warranty for a gaming headset, my grandson breaks his about every 2 months. The head set was not in stock. The staff went above and beyond to make sure they honored the warranty. Thanks game stop Rutherford
Fantastic experience: This GameStop has been absolutely amazing. I’ve been bothering them since last week cause they have been having issues with trade ins on the Xbox serial numbers along with other locations and they’ve been dealing with my check ins and phone calls while being so kind and understanding and just keeping me up to date. I’ll literally will never go to another GameStop store as long as I’m in the Murfreesboro/Christiana area. I really appreciate Maddy ( I hope I heard her correctly on her name lol) and Marcus. Love this location! They have been so patient and kind. Great management and employees

Fantastic experience: When I say their store manager Is awesome he is the best. The day of the release for the new Xbox Series when he arrived he purchased donuts for everyone he actually took the time out to explain how the release would take place at his store so there wouldn’t be any confusion. I’ve been to the store several times after to make more purchases his always very friendly and helpful. The only store me and my kids go to for our gaming needs. If I could give a 10 I would.

Fantastic experience: I really wasn't expecting much because this is just another corporation and a lot of people either don't take their job seriously enough to offer polite customer service or they just act like they don't want to be there. Desean was extremely friendly and more than helpful when I had an issue with a used game that I had purchased here, I don't buy games often but I was extremely happy to find someone who is more than willing to help me out.

Negative experience: For the last 3 visits, I haven't been successful in making a trade/ purchased without an issue. In September it took 2 staff members 30 minutes to check me out when there were 2 registers running and 1 customer in line trading a bunch of stuff. One was counting inventory while the other processed the sale. More recently in February, I saw a good trade promotion that I wanted to take dvantage of. When I got there they said that the promotion advertised on their app ended the day before. Today, I saw a good price on NBA 2k19 for the switch for $22.39. I reserved it in the app and went to go pick it up. When I got there, they told me that the game would cost $45. When I showed them the apps price that I reserved it for, they wouldn't honor it. They stated that the sale price ended the day before. They offered a new copy for $30.00. I used to love this company, but have lost respect for them over these issues. Please honor your own pricing/ promotions...

Fantastic experience: The best place to buy used video gaming gear, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their video games and consoles. No hassle when I had to return my console that I got used for Christmas they replaced it without any troubles or questions and even upgraded me to the 300gb drive in the new ps3. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone that is in need of some game time for cheap!
