Fantastic experience: What a gem! Stopped by a few times on road trips cuz they have cool old toys and Pokemon cards my kids love. Just went through and the guys running the Pokemon tournament could not have been nicer! Spent tons of time explaining to my kids how to tell real vs fake cards and all the people the Pokemon cup were super nice! Whether your local or visiting well worth a visit

He has everything video game and toy related and if he doesn't he can find it. Everytime I visit I see something irresistable to a collector like me. And if you like TCG they've got a strong community of players and carry alot of products.

Fantastic experience: I love this place it is literally the only game store I've been to where the staff is actually cool and not snobby "if you know, you know" seriously one of the coolest stores iv ever been in the environment and the staff are hands down the last store in Amarillo that practices good customer service and another if you know you know moments they actually give you the best deal possible on trade ins and the product in store isn't laughable pricing every thing is fair across the board plus the owner is my big homie 4 life !!!!

Negative experience: Love the guys running the shop. Seem fun and knowledgeable. Unfortunatelyy friend and I bought some fairly expensive zendikar exposition lands from them only for it to be fake. When my friend and I noticed he went back to the store and was told that “it sucks but all sales are final”. I get it, but because of this experience I would recommend being a Jewelers loupe with you and really looking at said cards. I only figured out mine was fake when another store offered to pay me to rip it in half if it wasn’t. Sadly it was. Be careful when buying expensive cards here.

Fantastic experience: There are so many treasures in this store! Legos, Pokémon cards, magic cards, retro toys, video games, you name it! We had a great time browsing and finding toys from our childhood. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable with every item inside too.

Fantastic experience: GameQuest is a fantastic stop if you’re into retro gaming, collectibles, or just love browsing through nostalgic treasures. We didn’t plan to spend long here, but ended up enjoying our time exploring the store’s packed inventory. They have nearly every old-school game system imaginable—from NES and Sega to PlayStation and beyond—plus a wall of classic games to go with them. Beyond the video games, the shop also carries a wide range of collectibles: vintage toys, trading cards, movie posters, vinyl records, and even dollar-bin comics (my son picked up a couple and was thrilled). It’s the kind of place where you never know what cool thing you’ll stumble across, and the prices felt reasonable—especially for more casual collectors. Even if you’re just browsing, it’s worth a stop. The staff was friendly and let us look around comfortably without pressure. If you’re a gamer, collector, or pop culture fan, this is a must-visit spot in Amarillo.

Negative experience: Whatever you do, if you're out of town coming in to look for video games or collectibles, do not come to game Quest The owner does not like to talk to people Personally, and they give runarounds on a lot of stuff i traded some things in and they still owe me money. Haven't heard back from them in 4 weeks now. If you're looking for a better store, you go to lubbock might be a little bit longer of a drive, but better customer service and you won't get ripped off. Update: might want to look for new workers this is a log of every time I called and got no answer or just told i would get a call back Hope everything goes good I will never recommend this shop or ever go back

Positive experience: There's honestly a little too much going on here. It would better if things had their own building to be in. Also trying to get out to this part of town is it's own nightmare.

Negative experience: They sold me a broken rare NES game (return of the joker). I was assured the game had been tested when I bought it. I told them I was from out of state so I wouldn’t be able to return it. They asked me to send it back for a replacement. It’s been months now and they have not sent me the replacement and they have started ignoring my texts. I’ve been extremely patient and friendly and I feel ripped off.

Negative experience: We came in here so excited to buy things we had been looking for while in town they obviously had a lot! The person working was not nice and didn’t greet us and even went out of his way to walk around my girlfriend, it was just odd! We left immediately! We don’t want to patronize a business where people aren’t kind to people or appreciate business and support!

Negative experience: We went to game quest to find a specific playstation 1 game. We were told by the employee that "if" they had the game it would be at the civic center where a convention was being held. We foolishly accepted the side quest. After paying $40 to get into the convention, we found their booth and discovered they only had 6 games there, and not the one we asked about. The person manning their booth questioned why the employee did not just call them and ask rather than sending us on a fool's errand. Its our fault in total, but the lack of organization from Game Quest was quite upsetting after everything was said and done. We later went to another local store, where they used some sort of space age computer program to document their inventory. We got the game from them with minimal hassle and no side quests involved.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever!!! I went in to trade 6 games in good condition and was given a $27 credit. Which I thought was a little unfair because I purchased 2 of those games at this same store for full price. But was unable to play due to online reasons. Either way I picked out 3 titles 2 were in disk sleeves. Sealed by a sticker. When I got home in Oklahoma I tried to play and the games were so scratched they wouldn't play on my console. I feel so ripped off. and I will never shop here again..

Positive experience: Awesome vintage gaming store with everything from Pokemon cards, original Atari games, old Nintendo consoles, to magic cards collection's, as well as Lego series kits, and so, so much more cool gaming things! Staff was helpful with advice and info on all of the products. The prices were not to much either. My son bought a 5$ Pokemon pack and was very satisfied!

Negative experience: Extremely cluttered and disorganized. The place certainly has a fair selection of games, cards, toys, and music, but good luck finding any of it. The place was more akin to an attic or garage than a store, down to having clearly broken machines whose purpose I can't even begin to guess. Even something as simple as alphabetizing the PlayStation 1 games in the glass case wasn't done to help the customer. Most of the prices weren't clearly displayed too, and what was displayed was a little higher than the average price. Not absurdly high, but I could still find it for cheaper in the same area. Luckily, the employees were pretty nice and helpful, which is what saves this review from only being one star, but I really hope they clean up their act. Ba-dum tisk.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, knowledgeable, and had just what I needed. I was looking for a USB gamepad for playing games on my laptop and they had several options that they were kind enough to show me. Made me want to get something else just because of how I was treated. Looked around at some of the other things they had, and got myself a small set of polyhedron dice (d4, d6, d8, 2d10, d12, and a d20) to round out my purchase. The workers there seems to really know their stuff, and have a sort of respect and reverence for the vintage items carried that is absolutely necessary for these antique electronics... As they say, they do not make them like this anymore. Thank you for taking a ride down Vectrex Memory Lane with me guys. I'll be sure to drop by again to see they new shipment of poly dice coming in! Great place.

Fantastic experience: Our family of 4, including one teenager and 1 grandma had a barrel of laughs and good times here! We heard this place was quirky and LGBTQ friendly, and we were not disappointed! Very friendly, welcoming, excited-to-share staff/owners. They have an inspiring story too, if you choose to ask. We laughed our heads off playing the games they recommended, and they opened one just for us to try and gave us a great deal on the ones we chose to buy - super awesome! Love the 80s memorabilia, all the rainbow PRIDE stuff, and OMG, the board games are awesome 10 out of 10, well done y’all!

Negative experience: This place is a rip off I took 14 Classic Movies for consignment he said he put them in the trash I just took them on October 27th why would you put my stuff in the trash I wouldn't purchase anything here need to be turned into the internal revenue or somebody let them check you out

Fantastic experience: Stopped by on a whim, thought the store front was nifty. Was disappointed to see that someone had mislabeled this place as "permanently closed", which it most certainly is not. Luckily, it looks like Google has already accepted the edit and shows them accurately open. This place is SO COOL! The staff is knowledgeable, kind and seems easy going. Love the fact that they are a safe space for the LGBTQ community, just another plus for me. I will return here each and every time I'm in Amarillo going forward! Positive experience: Was trying to find me a GameCube and this place had it all. Staff was helpful and friendly. The first GameCube had a glitch so I took it back and they gave me another one with no problems. They even tried it out for me. GameCube games are hard to come by now a days but surprisingly they had a few good selections and they even offered to find and order games that I was trying to find. This is the best gaming place in Amarillo. Will definitely be coming back!

Fantastic experience: It's a cool place where you can sit down and play magic, will a force, yugioh, or pokemon with your friends or random other people in town. The owner. Kevin can be a little rude but it's a minor detail to a otherwise very family friendly place.
