Fantastic experience: We picked up some controllers for the wii and got home to try them out, and unfortunately, one of them was not working properly. Took it back to the store with the warranty on it, and it was super easy to get replaced with a new one. Thank you for the help and wonderful, friendly service. Will go back again.

Negative experience: DO NOT, I repeat Do Not buy your PS5 accessories from this Game Stop.. They are selling used, and refurbished PS5 controllers for $69.99 ($74 after tax). You can buy brand new controllers for the same price from Amazon, Wal Mart, Best Buy.. When I asked if they have a warranty on them the employee offered the $14 warranty, but neglected to inform me of the 7 day return/exchange. They are taking advantage of your ignorance assuming you wouldn’t know any better.. Just go the the next nearest location. I got a used ps5 controller for $62 plus tax. I wouldn’t buy a piece of candy from this place

Negative experience: Not sure what the issue was but they must not like Hispanics. Got a new phone and have been trying to sell my old iPhone. Went to this location to sell it. They acted funny the whole time and then told me their system isn’t working and that they can only give me $10. As I was walking out, I hear the associate say, the system was working.

Negative experience: Avoid this GameStop. Do yourself a favor and go to another location. Much like others have said the employees pay more attention to each other and their phones than customers. "Amara" is primarily the employee that I have had multiple interactions and issues with. I seem to be an inconvenience to ask for any assistance. The past few times I have been here, there has been an issue with a pre order, or something with the pricing on what I am trying to purchase. Each time it has been handled rudely and having myself leave with no solution. Training and supervision are greatly needed at this store.

Negative experience: Used to love this place but my husband was refused service this morning because he didn't pre order the game he was asking to pick up, the female morning manager has been rude to him every time he has asked about buying a game he hadn't pre ordered so we will not be returning here again. Best buy is more than happy to take our money.

Fantastic experience: I have a GameStop less than half a mile from my house, but I regularly drive out to this one because of one employee, whose name I don’t know because I suck with catching name tags, but she’s amazing. She’s typically in there every time I go and is very friendly, extremely helpful, and just seems like a genuinely nice person. The only time she wasn’t in there, there was a different female working and also a male, who were also super friendly and helpful. This GameStop is also bigger than the one by my house. It’s always clean, very well organized, and the customer service is always on point.

Positive experience: I always liked coming to this gamestop as a large majority of the time, the people that worked there were cool. They were obviously gamers and it showed. There were some times employees weren't too friendly, but we are all human so I get it. But I am writing this review because apparently, this Gamestop is closed (possibly for good) due to COVID or Gamestop budget cuts. Either way, I am sad to see it go..... lots of positive memories over the years visiting this particular gamestop…

Negative experience: Stopped to buy a controller for my daughter but the clerk’s phone was much more important than the customer. This is a sad generation that has joined the work force. If they only remembered the work part.

Negative experience: The selection here is great, the number of consoles they sell products for here is great, but the staff member who I had check me out the most recent time I was making a purchase was rude and definitely seemed like she didn't want to be there. She talked me out of buying a new product and told me that I was simply "paying extra for cardboard." Although I'm not a business owner, I understand how consumers make decisions about where they're going to spend their money, and I'm pretty sure you shouldn't be convincing your target audience that they're stupid. All in all, I don't need to return to this location anytime soon because there is a better GameStop with a higher quality of service just ten minutes away.

Negative experience: Called the store located at 4107 portsmouth blvd in Chesapeake Va 23321. The lady who answered the phone was horrible.. First I asked how you doing all she said was fine... then there was awkward silence. So I asked if I can ask her a question about a gaming system and she said "well we are closing" again silence so I then asked her we do you have time for the question and she replied were closing but sure. I asked her do they do repair work on PS4 she said no... silence again so then I asked do you know anywhere that does repair work and she was quick on both answers to say No... silence again... so I said thank you and before I could hang up she had already hung up and didn't say anything after I said thank you she just hung up... horrible customer service and I will never shop with this location and I do not recommend them to anyone... Customers is what keeps the doors open and keeps the employees working and to be disrespectful to a customer with little care is pointless and stupid.
