Negative experience: sales guy was awful and would not stop trying to get us to upgrade our account. He wouldn’t take no for an answer and literally kept on three times until we had to raise our voice and tell him no again. They also don’t sell for msrp so all of the pokemon cards are triple than what they should be.

Fantastic experience: Always a joy when the kiddos light up when they find the perfect game.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service. Good luck getting any response from the company if your package goes missing.

Negative experience: I return a controller that was supposed to be “brand new” that wasn’t charger , which I paid $89 for and all they could do was give me $6 and still kept the controller. And he tested and seen that it wasn’t functioning correctly. Worst experience ever. Would never stop here again. Just a rip off . Talking about if I open it I can’t return it so how I suppose to know if it works or not if I don’t open it

Fantastic experience: Traded in a console here and it was an easy process.

Negative experience: I called to ask what time the Pokémon card drops are and the guy on the phone said they don’t give that information over the phone and hung up.

Negative experience: Literally one of the worst experiences I have had. Makes me lament the closing of the store on Atlanta highway. The rude worker refused to sell me anything in a power trip. This franchise is already dying, and I say let it die. Shop target instead.

Fantastic experience: Game stop knows what they are talking about and are more open to a lot more things these days. I don't know how they are with buying things from u since I didn't try to sell them anything. However, they are learning how to do more things than sell video games

Negative experience: After leaving the ATL Hwy location, where a white male (Martin)failed to do his job and insisted that I go to the next closest location in East Chase, once I arrived I was immediately confronted with another white male who had spoken with Martin from the previous location visited. Josh proceeded to tell me that he also would not be able to assist me due to the call he received from his White coworker at the other location. Systemic racism still is prevalent in Montgomery, Al. Steer clear or beware.

Negative experience: Low on merchandise. More concerned with stocking & organizing than the customer. They didn't give me my Military/Veteran Discount!

Negative experience: Sitting outside the store at 10:40 AM on Sunday, store is still locked up. The door has store hours posted with the dates, yet they aren't open... You're 40 minutes past the time it states you'd be open today. Frustrating.

Negative experience: Nothing problems when I come in here. Whether it’s to warranty something or to even buy something. Always turns into an argument because of “corporate policy.” Won’t be going back and I suspect they’ll be out of business soon.

Negative experience: Went in and sales guy talked pretty condescending the entire time. Smooth talking kind of guy, upsold everything, warranties, extras, etc. promised what I was buying would do what I wanted it to do and said I could return product if it didn’t work. Sales guy failed to mention that GameStop actually WILL NOT take product back. I called and complained to corporate and was promised that the district manager would call me back. I would have been happy with returning for store credit - but no. Never heard from the district manager. Now they have another well deserved 1 star review for treating people like trash, breaking promises, and not even returning phone calls. Would not recommend. Buy elsewhere!

Negative experience: Called up there today to inquire about the stock of the Playstation 5 console because I was going to buy one today as a gift for my brother. The guy answered the phone and constantly repeated whatever I said. I asked if it was any in stock and his replies was “come and find out” “they here today, gone tomorrow” “I bet you would want to know huh, huh, huh”. Felt like it was unprofessional since he didn’t even give me a valid answer. I ended up purchasing one from the Gamestop on Ann Street. Thanks a lot

Negative experience: Wow the staff here at around 430 to 530pm on Sat May 28th 2022, was extremly rude, short white man w beard and rotund black man. No greeting, I was the only customer in the store so I greeted them asked how they were doing and they clearly made a point to show they were annoyed that a customer came in. Super odd vibes, asked about games and console i wanted to buy and the bearded short man walked away and the rotund fella behind the counter made a snide joke/innuendo about my inquiry assuming the remark went over my head I guess or maybe he was being blatantly derogatory tbh I'm not sure what or why but regardless it was super cringe. In my head I was like im not spending money w these dudes so I said alright u guys have a nice day and left, went straight to the best buy down the street and spent over $500 on system, micro sd memory, controller and a few games...I havent been to this GS location or any GS in a while, this store was once very cool w a professional staff, positive atmosphere but the current employees influenced me to spend my money elsewhere, meaning a different buisness on account of how they interacted w me...tbh i stopped coming to GS a few years back because this isnt the first time this location has been unpleasant, though back when i was a regular here years ago the staff was so enthusiastic and helpful we greeted each other by name made small talk id buy my item and leaving feeling dope about my new purchase, always left w somthing because i enjoyed spending money there back then but w these guys holdin down shop im going to keep shopping online for games instead of going to GS. Yall should really train these fellas better.

Positive experience: 4.5 stars. This location is usually chill and not demolished like some. Chris is a great manager and despite the downsides of traditional media and the limited availability of some items deemed retro or high demand I recommend going by for your video game needs. Always remember GameStop allows used game exchanges up to 7 days. The policy protects you from buyers remorse and if you have a rewards card the extra savings is even more incentive to buy used. This is a deciding factor when shopping for my 5 year old. I never know how a game will work out.

Positive experience: There are several GameStop stores in Montgomery, but this is the one I prefer. The folks here know their stuff. The location is a little inconvenient because of the logistics of the shopping area, but it's not a huge issue.

Positive experience: Went in to buy replacement Nintendo Switch Joycon straps. They had "used ones". Bought two only 1 was in good condition. The other sticks. Very helpful staff, sub par quality control on used equipment.

Fantastic experience: Very professional. I reserved a game through their web page and they emailed me when it was ready. When I arrived I showed them the email and was in and out quickly.

Negative experience: This is 100% true about what I’m going to say. The people working at this Gamestop are extremely rude. They were absolutely terrible at the way they cummunicated with me and my friend as we tried to trade in a couple consoles. Highly recommend going to the one on Perry Hill Rd. if you actually want some cool people to handle what you’re doing. Will never go back to this eastchase one.

Fantastic experience: I made this review just because the 3.5 stars it has right now in not enough. Every time I've been in there, the staff was very kind and very helpful in finding everything that I needed. Even if they didn't have the thing I was looking for they would tell me if any nearby locations had it and even if they thought stores that were not GameStop had what I needed. I had never had a problem with any of the staff there. Also, saying, "It must have been bad," because a store changes location is not a reason to give it 1 star.
