Negative experience: If I could put NO stars I certainly would! This is the most unprofessional GameStop I’ve been too in my entire life. There are hours during the day which the store isn’t even open, instead a be back sign we be placed on the front door inconveniently wasting customers times with no time table for them to return to the store. I have seen customers in line be jumped over by customers just walking in. A serious turn around needs to be made. Its reasons like these that has the GameStop franchise as a whole suffering! Positive experience: Madison Indiana the staff named Katie I believe was not helpful at all. She greeted us. But didn't know how to look up anything said she didn't have anything we needed thankfully there were other workers there stocking from a dif store. And end result we ended up spending 200 dollars. The game we bought was told it was pre owned and it was not it was refurbished which we wouldn't have bought had we knew. And as expected it wasn't working. The brick wasn't functioning at all. We tried to call store for two days no response so we just called Louisville location and they gave us a way better deal ended up spending 200 more and had a working pre owned newer system. Overall most game stops i would def recommend bad experience in Madison

Negative experience: First my son was sold an IP banned Playstation 5 (which is messed up for real) that he spent all of his xmas money on. I paid for the warranty and thank God I did or he would have been screwed. But even the warranty was almost messed up because when we bought it, the person who checked us out didnt save it under my account. If the manager lady didnt remember me from the first purchase i dont think i would have even got a replacement. So I drove him up there and he exchanged it. Then he gets home and tries to play it and the controller he was given with the second PS5 was broken. So I drove all the way up there again and exchanged that. He gets back home and the controller doesn't work again for a second time. So that's 1 very expensive PS5 that didn't work and 2 broke controllers. I was not driving up there again, I have been as patient as I can be with these people. I ended up spending money I really didn't want to spend on a brand new controller. Between the gas money going back and forth 100 times and the controller I spent 80 dollars on I don't feel it was even worth purchasing anything there in the first place. Buying used actually ended up costing me more money. They were very nice and did what they could to help but it's very obvious they do not thoroughly check these products at all (if at all) before putting them out for sale. Not only were they messed up the controllers were dirty too. Huge waste of time and money and I will not ever go there again. I can understand one thing happening but over and over again it's just ridiculous and totally avoidable. Dont think ive ever left this long of any kind of review but the incompetence at this place cant be understated. Buyer beware!

Negative experience: They have a very unusual return policy. I bought a 75. Controller from this location and within a week the aux jack was giving me echo in headset. I went to return it the employee said it’s policy not to return an opened controller unless there’s something wrong with it. I’m just taking a shot in the dark here but isn’t a faulty aux jack something wrong? Idk anyway buy your gaming stuff anywhere else to protect yourself. No wonder they were going out of business before the meme stock grab…
Fantastic experience: This gamestop has the friendliest staff, and I don't mean butt-kissing or aggressively polite, I mean the staff are your FRIENDS. They treat you as such. Such a comfortable environment. I feel so welcome every time I walk in.
Fantastic experience: Walked in randomly to by a game for my husband, and Kendrick and the store manager (didn't catch her name - ugh!) were both INCREDIBLY helpful! Based on what little I know about what games my husband players, they were able to pick out a game they were sure he'd love, and sure enough, my husband spent the entire night playing it. They didn't pressure me to make a purchase, and allowed me to browse on my own. Great experience overall at this store!
Fantastic experience: Kate is the new assistant manager and has really turned this store around for the better! Kayden and Issac are great too. Everyone is very helpful and informed about whatever your gaming need are. Clean and organized store with knowledgeable employees is refreshing when other stores aren't helpful. Love this location!

Negative experience: The cashier was yelling and cussing so loud I could hear her before I walked in the door and once I came in the store, she didn’t stop her childish rant. After several minutes I left the store, it was beyond ridiculous.

Negative experience: Be careful using a card here to make a purchase. I bought MW3, a $70 purchase using my card, then about 22 hours later there was a second $70 purchase that I didn't make from the same store. So I go back to the store, the employee tells me there's nothing he can do and to call a 1 800 number, which was an enormous hassle. I didn't get my money back for two weeks, without so much as an apology. They don't seem to care about there customers to much..
Negative experience: Almost no staff to the point they have to close so the poor workers can have lunch. For the few who do work there, they barely know what products are being sold and what they do sell they no almost nothing about. It's one thing to not play a game and another to be completely uneducated about the games you sell, especially when they are high profile games and IP's like pokemon. Go to the mall location, you will get far better service.
Positive experience: Huge double door gamestop. The floor was kind of empty though so all that space kind of wasted. Not as much stuff as other gamestops so not bad.

Negative experience: I was in there looking at their Funko Pops and some guy (don't know if he was an employee or just some weird customer because he had no name tag) just hovered over me and then he grabbed something that apparently didn't belong on the shelf (he did say excuse me before he grabbed it) and then came back and hovered over me for a few more minutes. Thank goodness the Funko Pop I was looking at I ended up not needing it. I won't be back there again.
Negative experience: Recently tried to visit this store at about 6pm. Sign said open until 8pm, and Open sign was lit. There was a handwritten note in window that they were closed for lunch. I saw employee return, but they said would be closed for another 30 minutes. I drove a while to get here, this is very frustrating.

Positive experience: Always great to have a convenient location for quick stops for newer games. They don't carry as much these days, as it does seem a bit bare compared to previous years, but anywhere that can still offer pre-owned games, ways to buy and sell your used games locally is great! I understand the retro gaming was probably not lucrative on the level they need to sell, but I do wish they still had some more of the older stuff and wish the store had more fun racks of fandom gifts to explore as they did before.

Positive experience: They have the game we wanted but they have it behind the counter and locked. We were not able to see the details of the game in the back of the box as they thought we can run out of the store with the game. They can try to put empty boxes or to leave something with them as warranty that we will not steel.
Negative experience: Website doesn't tell you that pokemon cards aren't returnable. I placed an order twice by accident and was stuck with $100 worth of cards.
Negative experience: I used to preorder games here for years but tonight they didn’t have my copy of Pokémon violet when I’ve preordered it months in advance. When I preordered it the employee said there was a midnight release which idk how there was a midnight release when GameStop had no stock for their preordered copies. Guess it didn’t happen. When I arrived at GameStop it said they were closed for lunch when it was 5:30! I waited 45 mins just to find out they didn’t have my game. They refunded me and told me I can go to the nearby target because they have the game stocked. How does target have copies and GameStop doesn’t? It was ridiculous, not going to preorder any games at this location again.

Fantastic experience: This store is under New Management as of 2 weeks ago, and it's improved. It is difficult to get in and out of this location depending on which direction you come from. There is always a lot of traffic in this area it is a very highly utilized set of stores. In which there are many other major stores in the area bringing even more customers and traffic. The store is clean and does offer handicap access

Negative experience: I’ve had a good experience in the past with GameStop. Today, I dealt with a rude little man who acted unprofessionally and sarcastic simply because he was asked why he needed to make a copy of my driver’s license and get a biometric thumb print. If GameStop can’t get professional employees to answer simple questions, perhaps these type of details should be printed and listed for customers to read.
Fantastic experience: I could go to any gamestop in town but I go here because of the workers. Particularly Brendan and Andrew. Who make every visit awesome. They can answer any question and are extremely fun to talk to. Definitely brings back the feel of how Gamestop used to be back in the day. Fun, casual and a place where you feel welcome. Keep up the great work.
Positive experience: Good store i’ve been here so many times. Can’t give five stars after a dude started me in the eyes as he explained to my mom why she should never let me get watch dogs. Since the employee loathed in the suffering of a poor child. I can not give this a 5 star review.

Negative experience: The African American manager is very rude and disrespectful. The website says they open at noon, but they opened at 11 and now preorders for the new xbox are sold out everywhere in louisville. Not first issue I've had with gamestop or this manager. I've bought warranties on items that broke and when trying to return items they have disrespectfully told me not where I had to drive to another gamestop to be treated with customer service and return said otems.

Negative experience: I went to purchase MK11 and not only did the cashier hold my 2 fifty dollar bills to the light but he also used the bill marker on them. I know for a fact both were not required to distinguish it was real.

Fantastic experience: This crew is always very helpful and it doesn't feel like typical GameStop "preorder 500 things please even though you only walked in here for a $10 game". They also ensure you leave happy and with what you wanted, even if it means working a little harder to find it. For example my son and I enjoy Pokemon together and they pointed me toward some clearance toys and a very hard to find pre release card box that yielded some fantastic pulls. This was not because I asked they remembered from a previous visit making it feel more like a hobby shop than a GameStop which a very good thing.

Fantastic experience: Never have I walked into a store and been greeted with such wonderful service in my life. Not even 20 seconds after I walked in, i was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. When I did ask for help, they knew exactly where everything was and what I needed. When I went to checkout, the employee on the register was so nice and very patient as i gave him 2 gift cards he couldn't scan but had to enter manually (sorry!). He then asked me if I had a GameStop card and if I wanted to sign up for one, which is always a good thing to ask. I signed up for one and then proceeded out of the store with my goods and extremely satisfied. The customer was amazing, the store was amazing, the amount of games they had was outrageous. 11/10 store!
Negative experience: First of all i bought a new nintendo 2ds xl with mario kart 7 installed. Well what i got was a refurbished 2ds xl with no mario kart 7. No actual box.. no manual... not even a qr code to scan. I'm seriously upset bc this was a gift and now i look like a cheap lying jackass. Please help me.

Positive experience: We come here quite often. Never had an issue with staff, they are always nice and helpful. One thing seems to be lacking are early releases. I dont know if they dont have enough pre-orders but this needs to be something that can hopefully change.
