Fantastic experience: Wonderful place, lots of trading cards, retro games, and records/cds. One of the employees, Travis, was very knowledgeable about wrestling and was willing to let me talk to him about it. Was a wonderful time, will return next time I come to Billings.

Negative experience: If only no stars existed, this place is super unprofessional I've been in here 2 times and lied to both times. First time was with a psa card and was told it was pretty much worthless only for gamestop (of all places) gave me over 300 for it. Then took in another item and was told psa is discounting graded pops so they would be interested, which is the bosses way of saying he cant afford what I have and tried to make it seem like what I had was worthless. I looked into what they said about psa discounting graded pops which of course turned out to be another lie, psa is not discounting graded funkos but they had stopped grading them as of 2025.Jokes on this guy though again I got my item sold for 5.5k but hey they are being discounted by psa right? Long story short this shop doesn't know jack about collectibles and the owner will try to make you feel stupid and like you're items are junk but dont worry just go anywhere else and the experience will be way way way better.

Negative experience: We went in the store today for some specific things. Walked in not 1 person said hello nor did anyone come to help us. We were in here a couple of months ago and had the exact same treatment! Don't think we'll be back!

Negative experience: DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR OWN CARD SLEEVES. I went to fun trade to check out what kind of pokemon cards they had. I ended up getting a couple out of the case and the binder. About $100 worth. All of the cards had sleeves on them. Right before she started to ring up my cards, she proceeded to take off the card sleeves. I asked if she could leave them on, so the cards are protected till I get home. Never in the last 2 years have I ever seen a store take the sleeves off the cards because they want to reuse them until now. Oh but they'll sell you the cards sleeve if you really want them. I'll pass and take my business elsewhere. To a place where they'll leave a .02¢ card sleeves on cards. The cards that had sleeves were around $5-$20 per cards.

Negative experience: These guys will rip you off completely if you sell anything to them.. they offered my 11 year old son 35 dollars on several funko pops one worth over $100.. my son took the $ but we will NOT be returning to this place.. sellers beware!!! Take the time and sell on eBay or elsewhere or be screwed by this guy

Fantastic experience: First time visiting Fun Trade. Cool store with lots to look at. Reminds me of the feeling of walking into a Spencer's long ago, but Spencer's seems to have changed their focus to t-shirts and sex toys. Nate was cool and willing to chat it up. He mentioned they'll be moving into a bigger space soon; they need it! Bought Garage Days and 5FDP records. Cheers!

Negative experience: I enjoy collecting physical media, from games to movies, and when I heard Funtrade was opening in Billings, I got excited to be able to support a local business again. Sadly, I can never seem to catch them when they are actually open. I've tried on my lunch hours, afternoons, everything. It just seems the business is poorly run with no advertised hours or even a clear address for where they are located. I've given up and will just continue to order online.

Negative experience: I'm so happy that Fun Trade moved right next door to The Splash Page so they both can buy all the target exclusive toys and mark them up double the price to sell them back to the community...don't just buy 2 or 3 of each item..no no...buy them all so you can really stick it to everyone.

Fantastic experience: We bought a controller from them and they told us if it didnt work to bring it back with the sticker on it and they honored there word

Positive experience: Lots of neat items to browse! Maybe it is fixed by now but their card reader was not working on our last visit. We came in with a wheelchair and were able to get through most of the store, but it is a very tight fit. Best of luck on your new location!

Negative experience: I’m so disappointed. I traded a substantial amount of items for store credit, then less than three weeks later, the store is closed and I can’t use my credit. That’s the same as stealing. Who knows if the store will open again.

Positive experience: Lots of older collectibles as well as newer toys and electronics.

Fantastic experience: This was totally a cool place to check out! They had an amazing selection of everything and anything... From comic books and trading cards, to DVDs and Games galore... collectible new toys and vintage merchandise of all kinds as well! These guys had it all and it was a really cool place to stop in. They trade for in store credit and its a good way to swap some older stuff laying around for anything mentioned above.

Fantastic experience: I have literally been coming to this store for about 5 years now. The owner has and continues to provide excellent service in video games and the like. He's a very personable gentleman that just wants to offer affordable gaming to all. The staff is always pleasant, and the selection is MASSIVE!!! Not to mention the return policy on videos and games. Amazing, really. And the move from his previous location to the mall didn't seem to effect the pricing of everything, which is even more incredible. I will continue to support and shop FunTrade!!

Positive experience: I really want to like this place, but it's just ok. The focus is mostly in videogames. They do have an ok selection of some vintage toys. Problem is, everything is locked up or behind a counter. Take for instance they have hotwheels behind the counter on pegs. No way to look. Not to mention the help is dismal at best. So, check it out but don't expect to be blown away.

My first time in, I ended up purchasing vintage Star Wars memorabilia and couldn’t be more happy with my purchase! They have the most wide variety of things from vinyl records to retro video games, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

If you havent checked this place out do so. It's the North Pole of Missoula. Gibby and his wife Crystal are very friendly and will take care of your gaming needs or what have you. Comic books, trading cards, video games, even Hot wheels. Also coming very soon...Carlascios Pizzaria Restaurante Italiano located next to Fun Trade.See you at the Mall.

His store has a plethora of things to offer from video gaming to consoles toys collectibles and lots and lots of other interesting things. I know he's got an incredible amount of very very nice guitars. Infact he's got a few B.C. Rich warlock guitars I've been interested in among many others. Customer service is top notch and the prices are more than fair.

Negative experience: Never answers the phone and their mailbox is always full. The store itself is only open when the guy feels like being there (seldom) and the can't tell you what they have in stock, simply telling you to "check over there" and pointing in a general direction.

Negative experience: Came here Saturday around 2:15, Google says they're open and their sign says open 12-6PM... No lights on inside and doors locked. There was no signage posted if someone would be back any time soon either. Pretty disappointing as I did have high hopes for this place judging by other reviews. Guess I'll never know.

Excellent, progessional and personalized gaming recommendations! Great selection of classic/retro games and consoles. If you are looking for the absolute lowest prices on games, systems or peripherals, or want to sell a gaming system or games for the highest cash price, this isn't the place for you. A small business like this cannot compete with a huge faceless chain like Gamestop. This isn't Gamestop! Thank God! Don't expect it to BE Gamestop and leave a hater review when you are disappointed. Did i say THIS IS NOT GAMESTOP?!?!?! This is not a pawn shop either. This is a business that exists for love of the material sold within. The primary employee, Jim, is a rare and unique guy. I give the store my business just for the pleasure of speaking to this employee. He has forgotten more pop culture, video game, film and literary lore and than I will ever know. I'm treated like an old friend when I arrive and ALWAYS have a memorable experience. I never feel pressured to spend money here, but I do buy from Fun Trade to support a unique local business and to say: "Thank you" for the amazing service and atmosphere!
