Fantastic experience: This is a fun store! The selection of games is out of this world! Everything from Atari to modern stuff. Plus, there's so many nostalgic items like toys, truly a wonderland for a nerd like me!

Negative experience: Sold me a faulty game, I asked when I bought it that I heard they have issues, told me he never heard of them having issues (even though there is reviews from months ago about his pokemon games not working) and if there were issues they would refund me. Went into the store and was told they would only offer in store credit. I wouldn't buy from people selling faulty stuff knowingly. The staff is super disrespectful too.

Fantastic experience: I love this place! The guys that work there are top notch, and know their stuff. It’s nice being able get info from someone who’s actually played a lot of the games you’re there to buy. Very knowledgeable, and kind staff, nice atmosphere, and great game selection from gameboy games to ps5 games, movies, toys, and records, they’ve got it all. My go to game store, couldn’t recommend enough. I only buy from them, or online if it’s a rarer game they don’t have in stock.

Positive experience: It's OK

Negative experience: Sell broken products, dishonest and disrespectful workers. Do not come here. Sold me broken product, came back to return the next day with receipt and was treated very disrespectfully. They kept my money, for the dysfunctional product they sold me.

Negative experience: I bought a Wii game from these guys and the guy that I bought it from told me that I could return it. I went back in a few days later because I ended up not needing the game and I never used it and they wouldn’t accept it as a return and they bought it back for less than half the price that I paid for it.I understand that that’s their policy, but the attitude of the guy who bought it back was super disrespectful. He was trying to argue with me and even after I agreed to the price he kept talking back. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

Negative experience: This place ripped me off. $125.00 for a fake unit, its 59.99 on the website! Total rip-off!

Positive experience: Good retro game shop, prices are a decent and for such a small store size has made amazing use of the area

Negative experience: Man this place is a complete Joke I took a High End Turtle Beach Pivot Pro Controller Brand new Just to see what the owner or who ever the dude was he asked me does it have any issues I answered no it does not after all the questions and starring he did he offers me 20 Bucks Iol im not a Crack head I can't recommend this place

Negative experience: Bought pokemon soul silver. It turned out to be a faulty game after a while. The game wouldn’t even launch the screen would just go black. I went back in and returned it. He didn’t have another copy of soul silver so he gave me Pokémon platinum and this copy of it freezes and glitches all the time I have to restart my DS constantly.

Fantastic experience: Every time I’m in Billings I have to stop by to see what they got in stock. It’s a small shop but it has plenty of consoles and games for a fair price.

Negative experience: Claimed to not sell me something at the price they did. Saying I'm wrong and it was a different store. I don't see the owner anymore just the shady new guys. Definitely hitting up fun trade from now on. Been going here since 2012.

Fantastic experience: Super cool place!

Negative experience: I'm giving this one star because my husband and I tried selling our Mario Legos still new in the box and figures and the guy says he'll give us $200 for the Legos then changes his mind and says $80 for all 5 lego boxes and 11 figures new in the box because has to double the price when selling to pay for his employees and I know you never tell a costumer that when trying to sell your stuff. Good luck to everyone who still shops/sells there

Negative experience: We had a brand new controller used once and the guy at the counter said 15 dollars even tho he has the same one selling for 50 bucks. Feel like we were ripped off because we are minors.

Fantastic experience: If it's old and it's a video game or video game related, it's here. Everything from the Fairchild Channel F to the PS5 or Switch is here. Seriously, they have a Fairchild Channel F in the box on the wall for sale. Every sega console made is here. Just about every nintendo console is here. Tons of original equipment and aftermarket import and domestic. If you need it, it can usually be found here at or below eBay prices without shipping or waiting.

Fantastic experience: These guys are the OG's. Their selection has only got better over time. Great prices and even better service!

Negative experience: What happened Mark?! This place used to be cool, but I feel like the owner has lost his ambition on keeping his customers happy.. everything is now extremely overpriced, and if you dare bring a game back, even in the short 7 day period that's posted on the goofy receipt that's handed to you, the owner Mark, has such a bad attitude (even though you spent $220 at his store a few days before) when you decide you don't like $20 worth of games?! The sad thing about this is not only will I never return to this store, but I have told multiple people to go check him out over the corporate places..this man knows exactly how to run a business.. straight into the ground Update 4/16/2024: So I felt like I was being salty and thought I'd give this shop another chance.. after calling and getting a quote from Mark for $25-$40, I walked down with a PS2 slim, with a few other things, just to see what he would do.. maybe the previous visit he was having a bad day and I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.. hahaha I was wrong for thinking that..the employees (who act like they fear Mark and used to get bullied and now feel like they have some sort of weird power over customers) went into the back office, and pulled up this past review, as well as my Facebook page and proceeded to tell me that I am no longer welcome in the business.. AVOID THIS PLACE!! Also, willing to send in secret customer's just to prove that it's not just me

Fantastic experience: They are knowledgeable about video games. I was going to get a Pokémon game and they gave me the perfect game for the 3ds I bought from them. 10/10 I recommend. Above is the review from my 15-year-old son :D I agree with him, this is our go-to video game store here. The man who works the front desk is amazing he is always very kind, and helpful, and he is knowledgeable in everything that is there. They make sure that their product is quality, so you know what you are getting. Both of my sons are special needs and love to talk about Pokémon and various games and Kyle was so kind and we never feel rushed or anything like that. It's a great place. Any place that will put several holo Pokemon cards in a sleeve for $1 for little kids who do not have a lot of money (which my little one was so excited, that and the 4/$1 stickers) is the kind of place I would do business with.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service. Went in and tried to get a Nintendo DS and the guy helped me and gave me two options but I wasn't sure if they were the right ones. He said I could bring it back if it was the wrong one and when I went back in a couple hours later the same day he would not honor the return and I am now out $145 on the wrong device. The guy was not knowledgeable and had horrible customer service. I will not be going back and would not recommend going to this place or working with them.

Fantastic experience: I love trade mark. When no one else has it, they usually do, or when they do, they will follow up and let you know when something you're looking for comes in.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love this place, my boys and I make this a regular stop whenever we are in town. Mark has a welcoming and friendly staff, and always with a smile on their face. The shop is covered from floor to ceiling with the coolest items around. The Minifig selection is equivalate to other locations and sold at a fraction of the price. We’ve traded and bought many items here, and always for a fair price. Sure, some items here are probably more expensive than let’s say, “Amazon”, but why support a Globalist run organization that hates you and treats their workers like cattle. “Mom and Pop stores around the world unite”.

Negative experience: The prices on games were close to charting with some even below. But the guy running it just makes you want to leave. I've never known a shop to turn off a customer more than this place did. The selection is good. But again, the shopkeeper is not good.

They also know their games, my son asked a few questions and got the answers he needed. We did purchase a used game and have not had any issues with it

Positive experience: Always friendly staff. Prices are a bit high IMO. DEFINITELY a great place for gamers. Has good items other then gaming stuff as well. A friend of mine found a new pair of sunglasses she needs here (there was a special type she needed & was hard to find).

Fantastic experience: Their sticker collection is awesome and if you bring in something like I did with my old 3ds I got a ton of trade bucks. Which is like an in store currency that you can use on anything in there and I was able to get to really cool collectors items for my dad and about a 100 stickers lol they are freaking cool and are always willing to see what you got and i always remember going in every Saturday and getting to look around at all the really cool stuff they got. And the owner is super sweet. They are just an amazing company and have been since they opened

Got a Majoras Mask 3ds for a very reasonable price considering it’s outside condition. 1 very small issue was that the battery was bulging which I promptly disposed of. I called and he was very understanding about it and replaced it free of charge! 3ds works great and I will definitely come back for almost all of my gaming needs! 100% recommend if your in the market for retro to modern gaming!

Fantastic experience: I'd say the BEST local place to get retro video game stuff in Billings. Stopped in the other day and the guy was super cool...answered a few questions for me.. They have very fair prices, beating 'most' online retro resellers. Wide selection. Wish they sold mod chips for rev2 Nintendo Switches HMU Will be back for sure. Great service and huge selection.

Fantastic experience: Dude was talking to someone for like 20 minutes which gave me ample time to browse and search for the stuff I wanted. Just a bit high on the price side, buck or two...so what? I get it. Things are tough all over, I'm glad I got the stuff I wanted and if I paid a bit high...it keeps dude doing business local...I love this place! I'll take my dollars here for the retro stuff I want to pick up now. 20 minutes to find my wants is better than waiting for shipping and not getting what I want...5 stars!

Positive experience: Nice selection of controllers and hardware. Many duplicates of rare games if you can settle for reproductions.

Fantastic experience: The guy who owns this place saved me probably around a hundred bucks today. My copy of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door got a scratch on it causing it to freeze at random (~every 15 minutes or so), and that game is NOT cheap to replace. He buffed out the scratch by hand for only a few bucks. The disc looks good as new and has been running for hours now without issue. Great service!

Negative experience: Zero customer service was to busy playing his game on the computer then helping us in what we wanted to purchase. Went to gamestop got exactly what we wanted with customer service and $50 cheaper same items won't be going back

Fantastic experience: Absolutely wonderful! Been here quite a few times and the Jersey guy was super nice and helpful to assist with my 360 having issues to playing my original Xbox games! He helped me find the source of my problem! Will definitely be back again, I highly recommend!

Negative experience: Only reason people go here is because he is the only place in billings to get retro games now. Thinks repos are worth the same as real. Over charges for games and consoles hoping you will pay to get it that day. He finally has a sign trying to say only some of his n64s are repos when it's pretty much all of them. Stick to disc if you go here.

Positive experience: The gamestop meme applies here 100% when bringing in games.

Negative experience: Be very wary of shopping here if you are a collector, prices are way to high and if you are not familiar with what reproduction cartridges look like for hand helds and consoles such as any nintendo or sega, this store will take your shirt. The have a very unethical way of selling this cheap fakes and will not tell you or have any signage that says the are rom hacked worthless reproductions. Will not be shopping here ever again.

Negative experience: For a store that buys/sells old games and toys. The owner seems to have extremely poor knowledge of older video games. You can find some good deals if your willing to look though 100s of over priced games that sells for much cheaper online. There is also a store in Bozeman that has the same business model with employees that will give you a better customer experience and better buy/sell prices.

Negative experience: Bought 3 GBA Pokemon games there and a Game Link Cable for my GBAs. The GBA games are all fake, and the Game Link Cable is for the Game Boy Color. I'm going to try and get my money back, and if I can I will change my review. Otherwise it's obvious these people are cons and they deserve the low score and the little to no customers they usually have. Edit: Forgot to update this. I got the correct cable later and had to keep the games, but they can at least trade with the real games which I am lucky enough to have to transfer pokemon further into the series.
