Negative experience: Done business with this shop a few times over the years, and honestly I'd rather stop by GameStop. Which I mainly do. Brought in an unoped prestine old-school Star wars game. They gave me a price, then said they'd have to open to verify. Then they drop the price they offered because it was opened, by them. They do have a good selection of games though. Just be wary if your wanting to sell them anything.

Negative experience: Your employee ️‍ has a very bad service attitude, I just asked a few questions because it was my first time at the store and seems like they have a good selection of good games , however I’m never setting a foot in this place again !! I would recommend you take your business elsewhere to a place that actually wants to make a sale

Negative experience: First time visiting, and was looking to purchase a few Wii games. Selection wasn’t entirely great, but had 1 or 2 decent choices. Staff wasn’t very welcoming, or polite when we approached them with a question. Took them a while to acknowledge us when we were ready to purchase.

Fantastic experience: Was sold a used Nintendo Switch OLED in perfect condition at a very reasonable price, offered a tip to staff to apply screen protector, really a great local business worth your suppport, stsff was frie dly and selection and prices very good

Fantastic experience: They had an incredible selection of video games that I typically struggle finding anywhere but online. Staff is always so friendly and happy to talk! I personally find prices to be fair--everything is pretty much competitively priced in terms of what you'd usually find them for online. I ended up trading in a game and they did nearly 2x more in store credit than what Gamestop offered, overall super happy and will be coming back the next time I have games to trade in!

Negative experience: Place is a rip off they are not any different than GameStop when it comes to selling them games.... extremely greedy sell your retro games yourself...I predict the same fate for those 2 shops as GameStop 1 out of 0

Fantastic experience: Bought several consoles and games from them. Prices are pretty good and never had any issues with the products I purchased. Definitely recommend checking them out especially if you're into older/retro games and system.

Negative experience: Used to be a great place to find decently priced games. But 4 years or so ago they really started dropping the ball. Staff is not it, treating people condescendingly. And not to mention the prices being well above market value now. And good luck having them fix your console or do good on their “warranty”. One review mentions a long haired employee and I must say I agree with their points

Positive experience: Sold them my NES and SNES collection a few years ago, gave me a fair amount of money.

Negative experience: Although the inventory was decent, the customer service was lacking — not very inviting and with little knowledge of the games. On top of that, the location is in a rough area, most games are over priced and not clean, which makes the overall experience less appealing. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Negative experience: The long hair gentle man was rude short with me because he was trying to watch his show and he said that they didn't buy PS4 games especially mine because they are scratched but when I took my to GameStop

Negative experience: Yeah, this place is busted. I called to ask about DS repair, and they can’t help me. I mentioned I want one DS to be looked at so the L and R buttons could work. They said no, they don’t even have spare parts around to help!!

Negative experience: Would recommend trade ins elsewhere as they will give very little/bare minimum.

Negative experience: The lady working there has a bad attitude and in such a rush to even help you. I felt disrespected by the bald dude wearing a hat to hide it and the woman just looks miserable working there. If you aren't happy with your job then just quit . I would rather go to gamestop from now on even if they rip u off. I'd rather get ripped off by someone with a better attitude then this place that I went to. Take care you guys and have a good life. I would honestly put zero stars but that's not even an option that's how horrible their customer service was does not even deserve 1 star

Positive experience: One of the few brick and mortar game stores left. While I have found games I want it just sucks that things are priced high.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Selection, Friendly Staff, Quiet location. They have a large selection of games, going back to Retro consoles to Nintendo Games to PS3 games, to newly released games on Xbox and the Switch. Cannot recommend enough, please support this small buisness.

Negative experience: Tried to sell some expensive PS2 games but didn't took them because they had "deep scratches" even though they work perfectly fine, hell even some games that they didn't took and had scratches were bought directly from this store.

Fantastic experience: Last Updated: Monday, March 4th of 2024. While I haven't bought anything yet in this store. This Store seems to offer a lot of Retro and Classic Games and Game Consoles. Examples are like: Super Mario 64 for Nintendo 64 or maybe Super Metroid for Super Nintendo? They may even have Nintendo Gamecube or Even Nintendo Wii with Gamecube Compatible Game Console. I am not really sure. But one day for sure I will come back and take a closer look. Do note that since the Classic Games are no longer being made. They may be expensive. I will update next time when I go in-store and maybe buy something. Hopefully they got some Classic Xbox 360 Games that I am struggling to find locally. Which are: Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and Mortal Kombat (2011) which is also known as Mortal Kombat 9. I want to get these games for my brother. Hopefully I can find Mortal Kombat 9 with the DLCs included... Thank you for reading. I do recommend this store for Classic and retro games and Game Consoles. Negative experience: Very rude, laughed at my console I tried to sell them (don’t know why, it’s not dirty and it play games just fine). Also sold me a broken disk with a huge scratch on it and wouldn’t return it.

Positive experience: The store is all right. Customer service was kind of trash, but it does have really good games and pretty average prices.

Negative experience: Poor level of customer service. Dude was way more interested in his McDonald's than helping us at all with little to no engagement. (Black long hair, facial hair, plus sized guy)

Positive experience: Compared to the original location, this one is larger and seems to focus more on retro home consoles and those games. There's handheld titles, but it's a limited selection. They do have some rare games here and there. Oddly enough, they also charge between 25-30% more than the other location for the same games. Parking is easier here though and the employee we met was cordial

Positive experience: One of the best “retro” gaming store in the South Bay for your retro gaming need’s. Fills the need that GameStop cannot fulfill for your generation 7 and below consoles and games. Game selection and console availability always change so if you’re looking for a specific item call ahead. Otherwise, I can spend 15-30 mins browsing through their selection to find deals. This is their 1 of 2 locations here in San Diego. Pro tip: call ahead to check stock for a particular game or console you’re looking for

They actually had a ton of games for other consoles and handhelds old and new though as well as cables and controllers. Prices seemed very reasonable

Negative experience: Out of ALL the video game stores I've ever walked into in my life, never have I seen someone working at one whom had no interest of helping customers find what they're looking for. The lack of product wasn't as disheartening as the employee telling me I was wrong about the price I'd seen extremely rare games go for. It was an all around terrible experience and I doubt I'd be willing to ever set foot in ANY of the company's locations if this is the quality of customer service shown. I had high hopes for Luna Games but now I see why GameStop is the #1 video games store, even though they rip off customers. At least they interact in a positive customer service oriented fashion.

Fantastic experience: Place is great, has alot of retro games, prices are not too bad either, you can get snes, sega genesis, sega gamegear, nes and lots of other systems just to name a few, they have pretty knowledgeable staff as well so feel comfortable asking questions if you dont know something game or system related . They also sell games for modern consoles as well. Xbox one and Ps4 selection is decent, Always ask about specials going on, they sometimes do buy one get one or similar offers on certain systems.

Negative experience: Took 2 non working 3ds see if I could at least get one working. The owner said they couldn't be fixed. When I came to pick them up the back was placed incorrectly and when asked about it the associate responded rudely. Took the 3ds somewhere else and the problem with one of them was just the screen. They switch the screens and I had 1 fully working 3DS. This place is not very good at repairs and kind of rude.

Fantastic experience: Good place to get video games for any system. They even have used systems and new retron systems to play the old cartridge games for certain systems. Staff is helpful in assisting with finding a game or if you have questions. Prices are reasonable.
