Fantastic experience: Great customer service.. Staff always very helpful and make every effort to remember details for example (I think his name is Frank) remembered that I was there getting gaming cards for my nephew. He also made mention of the points I had that I could use towards other merchandise... The savings and interaction alone are definitely worth the visit.. Definitely will return, especially since the location is right up the street from my office..

Negative experience: Three people on Saturday December 6th manager two other employees around 4pm. Held up the line to do tcg card submission while on the clock store busy and a line behind me then when I finally get talked to it was attitude from the guy that was turning in a card employee to tell me if I have everything for my trade. Just got console clean professionally and he dismissed me and rude then stated my system might be infested possibly because I was of color. It was rude made no rational sense went to another gamestop got the trade done with no rudness so never will come back and screw every employee there and they need to be fired indefinitely. Will never go back and hope place get restructured.

Negative experience: Came in last night and the employee really didn't want to work. I mentioned a promotion I saw on the X page and she claimed she didn't know about it. She tried to send me to Hancock store. She wouldn't look at my retro console because they're not a "retro store". I have been to other Gamestops where they're not retro stores and they have taken retro games. I had a Xbox Series S to trade and she looked at the controller and claimed since it had slight yellowing it would be marked as defective. She didn't even test it. From the get go all she said was she can't.

Fantastic experience: I came to this GameStop on the eve of the Prismatic Evolutions Super Premium Collection drop day to get one for my girlfriend. She loves Pokemon (especially Eevee) and really wanted the SPC so I made it my mission to acquire one for her. I am no stranger to camping out at GameStop so I knew I needed to be there early. I arrived at 9 PM to see six other people already there (two that were there since 3 PM) so I took out my chair that I bought a couple days earlier from Dick's Sporting Goods and had a seat. At first I was nervous since I was alone and am not a Pokemon fan myself, but I quickly started getting along with the other people in line. After the last two people arrived and we confirmed that we were going to get all of the SPCs, we began learning more about each other and exchanging socials. As the night went on, we shared portable chargers, got yelled at by someone who was too late, and even worked together to build shelter when it started raining. About an hour before the store opened, an older gentleman joined the queue and stayed even after we informed him that there were not enough for him to get one since we were all buying two but he didn't care. The GameStop employee (Olivia I think) came out five minutes prior to opening and told us all that each SKU was going to have a two per person limit (like the sign on the door says) and this rustled the older gentleman's feathers. He immediately started arguing with her saying it should be one per person and wasn't taking no for an answer after she repeated herself multiple times. Five minutes later the door opened and we all went inside. The rude customer continued to berate us while we waited in line and even called someone a dickhead. The same GameStop employee called him out on his behavior and told him that he would be asked to leave if he continued to antagonize fellow customers. This mostly quieted him down but he still muttered comments under his breath, calling us scalpers even though none of us were planning on reselling the SPCs. After leaving the store, we all said bye to each other and went our own ways. Even though we had to deal with a cranky old fart, it was a fun night. The group of people I was waiting with made 14 hours fly by like nothing. I will always remember this GameStop for a night of joy, laughter, and new friendships. 5/5

Had a guy try to cut through the line the other day just to complain about not being able to buy what he wanted before everyone else who had been waiting 12+ hours. Pretty funny to watch go down. Dude looked like a child in a grown adult's body the way he threw a tantrum, lmao.

Fantastic experience: Recently went to get the premium prismatic boxes. Me along with many other people waited over 14 hours to get these boxes excited to find somewhere that allowed us to purchase 2 per person. Everyone in line that was there all night talked excitedly about getting the boxes. When a rude and entitled customer came to the store only an hour before they opened. We were very respectful and informed them that everyone on line intended to buy two for our collections but they insisted on waiting anyway. Then when the employee came outside to greet everyone, the customer tried to tell the employee to change the rule, calling those who’d waited over 14 hours “resellers”, and claimed that they shouldn’t be allowed to buy the boxes we waited so excitedly for. The employee was kind and patient and despite the man’s claims and rude behavior, let all of us get out boxes and also stood up for us. I am so grateful to the employee who dealt with the stressful situation while also staying fair to those who’d waited all night. SOOO much respect for that girl and the crappy people she dealt with that day.

Fantastic experience: I had gotten off work and was convinced to sit and wait for the prismatic evolutions premium boxes, there was already 6 of us by 9pm that Thursday night. Around 12 am was when the last two lined up (9 of us in total) and the queue overall was full for how many boxes were limited to be purchased (2 per person). We waited all the way up to opening and were explaining to people who did proceed to line up we all planned on getting two so if they were waiting for that then they wouldn’t get one not to waste time waiting. A girl showed up at 9 am and sat around and later her bf showed up at 10:30 am 30 mins before GameStops opening. The lovely employee handling the release came out 5 mins before opening and explained that of course they still had 17 boxes but they also had some over pokemon related stuff. The guy who showed up 30 mins before opening started arguing with her telling her (not asking) that it should be 1 per person and managers discretion. When we went inside to purchase our boxes he proceeded to call us scalpers and how he couldn’t wait to see it on facebook marketplace throwing a tantrum because everyone who had been waiting purchased two. I was able to get my two after waiting 12 hrs and did open them and enjoy them (I got nothing ;-;). Thank you to all the lovely employees who took care of us that day. And I apologize for the harassment from a grown adult you had to behold.

Negative experience: Im gonna start this review by saying this gamestop is hands down the worst place to go for anything pokemon related. THEY WILL WATCH RESELLERS BUY THE PRODUCT AND THEN SELL IT IN FRONT OF THE STORE AND DO NOTHING! Went this morning because the prismatic spc was available today, i didnt spend hours waiting overnight i simply got there around 9 and waited patiently. I initially drove to this location around 5:30am only to be lied to by the people standing outside who told me there was only 8 in stock and they already had them all and not to wait. That part is not gamestops fault, however the way they sold these spc’s is 100% their fault and the main issue i have at this location. Gamestop allows 2 per sku of pokemon items, however if they think its unfair they can change it to 1 to allow more people access. Well the lady working today refused to change the limit for starters, that didnt hurt too much i knew not to expect one however the fact that the employees here sold all of these spc’s and then proceeded to watch them be resold not even 5 feet in front of the store is absolutely insane. As a company that was initially built for gamers to give them more access to product im very disappointed in how this was handled. you have real players, collectors, and kids that want these products but cannot get to them because of locations like this where employees dont step in. Sad to say Gamestop is far from what it was and is now nothing but a let down. I refuse to ever shop here again seeing as the employees dont actually care about their customers.

Negative experience: The new policy changes really affect the handicapped community. With meltdowns and behavioral issues that are beyond the individuals control; damages to items should be covered by warranty. We already spend more money than the average family. Try other game stores with more compassion for the disabled communities which are a large part of their clientele.

Fantastic experience: As a Pokemon trainer myself I see that the 2 GameStop employees Olivia and Tanner fulfill the greatest of my personal criteria. This GameStop is where to grade YOUR cards they are so helpful and nice, although the Trading Cards aren't always in stock, they always are a GREAT source of information involving a variety video games, pokemon, and things relating to GameStop and they give information without bias, THIS GameStop is THE place to go to for all of your needs wether it's Pokemon or any other things.

Negative experience: I've never left a review anywhere before but this is beyond ridiculous, This is the second time within a week I've just been straight turned away from this specific GameStop with no help. Last week "everything was down and couldn't do any transactions" and this week it was "idk what I'm doing sorry" ... absolutely ridiculous. Hire people that know what they are doing or train them so they do. Ive only been to a GameStop twice in the past couple years and that was this past week and now twice wasted my own gas and time with nothing but a "sorry can't help ya"

Negative experience: I bought a Playstation 5 from here only to get home and have the hdmi cord not work, I returned to the location as quickly as I could knowing that it was about to close. I even called to say I was on the way and asked politely if they'd wait for me to which the girl reluctantly obliged. When I got there she proceeded to say "please don't rob the store" which she had said previously the first time I came in to buy the system. I have to note that I am african american and the cashier was Caucasian. To add to this, two people pulled up shortly after i did to which the girl said they were her parents. She kept nervously implying that she had no idea why they were there. They came in regardless of her saying they were closed and claimed to "just be checking on her" while never taking their eyes off of me. Since she claimed they were not her ride, this led me to believe she called them after I called to come return the hdmi cable. Perhaps as some sort of witnesses. This was overall a very offensive experience for me as I paid for the new cable politely and was cordial the entire time. I can understand if the girl was new or something and just nervous but I've seen her there before and it isn't the first time I've heard her say things like this particularly when black customers are present. I will not be returning to this particular store.

Negative experience: I was refused service at this location by the employee Frank because Virginia is a right to serve state and GameStop has changed their policy on trade ins , he told me that my phone was damaged (it was just the screen protector that peeled off) , he then tells me oh well you have two phones and because you have two phones I’m not going to be able to trade them in because GameStop has done a policy change on December 1st. I’ve called multiple locations inquiring about this policy change there’s been no one that can reaffirm this statement. He sited multiple different policies in relation to servicing me none of which seem to go together in any real manner of logic. It is my strong belief that frank was targeting me due to my African American heritage and his passionate disdain oozed out of his pours. I’ve never been profiled before but this was absolutely outrageous especially for a company that’s been a pillar of many gamers lives for years.

Negative experience: Some of the employees at not only this location but others as well are rude. Used games are price gouged. And now they give me a used game that is so scratched I can't use it (see photos). The XB1 won't even pick it up on it's disc reader. And it's now past the due date for seven day return policy and their rule is they will only buy it back, which, in the condition you see in the photos, I would only get maybe a few cents if I'm lucky. Been told this in the past before. I'm not even going to try and get my money back because of their policies that cater only to the company. I am done with Gamestop. Time to go back to the more reputable video game sellers online that don't price gouge and actually take care of their customers.

Negative experience: Updating my review since this was for the old location and it has since closed. When the store opened it was actually pretty great. The staff was pretty good and we used to take our son there for the Pokemon events. The one girl who worked there that moved to another store to become manager seemed to be the glue that kept this store together. Now, I will not return to this store after the last 2 visits. The last time I went in there, they were watching Japanese Anime on the TV, the guy who was grabbing my pre-order for me acted lost the entire time and it took him almost 15 minutes to turn around and get my game, he was really rude about getting hung up on and since when is wearing a v-neck undershirt work attire? The time before this, they charged my credit card 4 times and got my card locked out because they didnt want to wait for the computers. Gamestop, please fix your staffing issue and find people who actually care about their jobs and want to work. We will not be returning to this store.

Fantastic experience: Very knowledge lady that assisted me. Her name was Felicia. Upon entering the store she asked if i needed assistance but i kindly declined. But as i got to viewing the many items from gaming, to figurines, attachments to systems games and such, cards, clothing, merchandise and so much here in this tiny shop. But yeah, after i did this for a bit then i started asking her question after question that eventually lead up to me buying a used ps4 that i got for $240 which also included two games 20 and below. Man this was an awesome deal. The two free games i chose where Injustice 2 and Assassins Creed Origins. Also picked up elder scrolls online for 4.50 and got a great deal on a 1 year membership for playstore for $40. Overall ended up paying Only $319 which includes the tax. But this store offers so much so you have to just stop by and check it out. They carry awesome deals on the latest gaming systems. Store was neat and clean and setup great. Will return again.

Fantastic experience: Always seem to have what the kids are looking for staff is energetic, full of knowledge, I appreciate how gently they alert the parents of games that may not be suitable for the age of child. The parents get it the children hear it but are not phased by what's going on. The kids see it as an opportunity to continue to look. To all staff thanks for being great with the kids

Fantastic experience: We traded in our XBox 360 for an XBox One X. Lamont helped us with our transaction keeping us fully entertained during the trade in process and educating us along the way. Best Game Stop experience ever.

Fantastic experience: The guy who runs this place (Christopher) is by far the most helpful and friendly employee I've ever interacted with at a GameStop. If he's working there when you go, be sure to ask any questions you may have about any game or game system and I'm sure he'll have a detailed answer. He is clearly dedicated to his job and he does his research.
