Fantastic experience: We were happy to find that Lafayette still has a Game Stop open. My son found a game for his PS5 last weekend and at a price better than we found online. The employee was friendly and helpful but didn't hover or anything.. We were able to look for a good while without feeling rushed. We will come back again soon!

Negative experience: I am not a fan of most of the employees they have at this store. Rose was the only person that was really ever helpful and nice and I have not seen them in a while now. One of the guys is always rude and if you ask for help he basically says he can’t do it. I only go here because it’s down the street from my house.

Positive experience: The cashier was really nice. I went in for advise on a Nintendo Switch and he sent me too all the good sites to get what I needed. Very helpful. The store was a mess but it didn't bother me too much. Just talked to the cashier.

Negative experience: We were trading in and getting a switch… it was an overall horrible experience. Idk the guy’s name, but he clearly couldn’t care less, it seemed like we were burdening him, and he was extremely inefficient. I had to tell him ‘No’ to the same product 7 times…. We looked online before leaving the house and knew exactly what we wanted. IMO, what should’ve been a maximum 15-20 minute stop turned into 45+ minutes. AND we were the only customers in the store before leaving I did get what we wanted, so mission accomplished, I guess. We just wish it was a more enjoyable visit.

Negative experience: Not helpful and the two employees working could care less. I preordered a game my kids have been asking for and this store had issues with their delivery and didnt receive their stock on Friday. I was told to check back Monday so I did and was told it was in transit. I asked if they would call when it was in and the guy said they were so busy they forget to call people so just try back later. I called two days later and was told the same thing. I called the following Friday and was told my preorder was in. I asked if they had an extra copy to purchase and the guy said he had one extra and would hold it for me. I told him I would be there in 5min. I arrived and there were two guys at the counter. I asked to pickup my preorder and one of them couldnt find my order and stated they did not receive my preorder yet (already a week late at this point). I asked about the extra copy I was told they were holding for me and the same guy stated they had no extra copies. I said I just called the store and was told everything was ready and he acted like he had no clue and the other guy next to him was completely silent. They were the only ones working at the store and pretended as though the conversation never happen even after showing them my cell phone call log from 5min earlier. I ended up canceling my order and going to another gamestop. This was on 9-16-22 at 4:30pm. I don't know what kind of game these guys were playing but it was completely disrespectful and they offered no apology. Very unprofessional.

Negative experience: If you’re going to force people to wear a mask then atleast give them away, like every other retail establishment. Not charge $1.50. Making a customer walk out, then come right back in makes absolutely 0 sense. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Oh and I wear a mask 8-10 hours a day, around 100’s of people. Not when there is literally no customers inside. & your worker Chelsea was super rude, and didn’t even have the decency to say thank you for shopping. I hope your company continues to decline & goes down the drain

Negative experience: They never answer the phone. Plain and simple. I can sit outside the store in my vehicle and call them and I can plainly see that no one answered the phone at all. None of the employees even bother to look at the phone while it is ringing
