Negative experience: Shame on you for closing the only decent gamestop that fargo has....the mall store is mismanaged...full of rude employees and for those of us who didn't want to deal with a bunch of ill mannered mall goers...this is just a downgrade....shame on you

Negative experience: Went in here with my family today to see what they had for Pokemon. My husband walked up to the counter and spoke to a guy with a man bun and asked if he could see what he had in stock for Pokémon. The kid brought out a box and my husband had asked if he could see it. The guy said “there’s nothing to really see” and I left. Not giving this store my money.

Negative experience: Called ahead by a couple weeks and spoke to manager. The manager informed me that they would have a certain item on stock on release day(1/17/25). Also informed me that they would wait until their 11am scheduled hours to open and would have a hard limit of 2 items per customer. I got there at about 10:40am and people were already inside so I went in and the people in line informed me the released product was already sold out because they opened the doors around 10:30 for a couple people standing outside and then allowed those couple people to purchase the entire new release stock they had before anyone else had a chance... so they basically blatantly lied and I believe they just sold the stock to people they knew early before anyone else had a chance and did not stick to their "hard limit" per customer. Absolutely ridiculous. Very angry customer here.

Negative experience: I’ve never experienced such outright disrespect from someone on the clock at a customer service job. Roughly before 4:30 on June 10th I went in with my partner to help my boss, who is disabled and could not come to the store, sell an unused PlayStation 5. This gentleman barely glanced at this console, which had not even been taken out of the box since purchase, and told us he couldn’t take it because it was “unkempt.” Then proceeded to tell us to go to the location in the mall (wouldn’t they have the same policy?) We had already been there, and their scanner was down so they couldn’t take it and sent us to this location. We relayed this information to him and he said, “I don’t believe you.” I called my boss to see if she wanted to talk to the associate and maybe see what her options were. I asked if he could talk to her and after ignoring me for a couple moments he said, “no. She can call the store, though.” His tone was dismissive. He also thought it was his place to tell another customer’s kids to quiet down, which I also thought was inappropriate in the setting. Overall, I’ve never once seen someone so ill-fit for customer service. Guys like him are the reason GameStop is going under.

Fantastic experience: Wow! Managers have obviously been finally paying attention to this place! We love coming in here now, huge difference compared to us coming here a year ago! We've been here a few times within the past couple months now. I'm glad we started coming back. It's refreshing to see a worker in here know what he's doing. The dude that's in there all the time now needs a raise or somethin! Get him recognized for sure, you don't wanna lose this one!

Negative experience: Placed an order online to pick up same day. Took time off work to get there by 8 to pick up my order as it told me to on the confirmation. Turns out the store closes at 6.

Negative experience: Waited for two hours in a line just for them to finally let us know that they never had any Xbox Series X in stock. They never had any consideration for their customers whom were enduring freight temperatures that could have been easily avoided.

Negative experience: Either stock your stores or deal with empty shelves. Every time I go in there and ask for something off the wall, “Sorry we actually don’t have any in stock.” Okay so if it’s not in stock, take it off the wall. I don’t care if it’s an online only item or not, if I can’t buy it in the store after seeing it on the wall, don’t display it. I also asked if they just weren’t allowed to order more, ya know cause it’s a game store why wouldn’t you keep stock? And they basically told me they weren’t. I walked out the door and ordered what I was looking for for half the price and I’ll get it within 2 days from amazon. You’re telling me a gaming business can’t get some stock from amazon if no one else is selling to you? Also a few months back when I went in for a pre order, I told the guy 3 times, (3!) no I didn’t want to renew my membership that day. Payday was a few days away, I was just trying to get the preorder reserved. But he still forced me to renew it. Making, cause my choice clearly meant nothing to him, me pay more when I told the guy no. The only staff member that’s good there is the lady who was a manager within the last year. I don’t go there often enough so idk if she’s still there but the last two times I’ve gotten guys that really bring a bad reputation to the place in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: (This was not made by my mom, this review goes into another review that was a little unfair, but I was (and still am) salty from that situation) God that Alexandria gamestop was so bad while on the other hand this one is good because they didn't make the pokemon sun and moon cards nearly impossible to get the cards I remember the time when I accidentally scratch slazzle code too hard and they replaced it. plus I'm trying to get the Marshadow code can you please send it or give it to me? because the Alexandria was so posed to on oct.5 but they didn't.
Negative experience: I got a controller from there and it broke. Had the replacement plan and they said they would have a new one out to me I 5 to 7 days. Took a month to get to my front door. Then the controller they sent me as a replacement was also broke. Then I called and complained and they said it took so long because of covid and the item I got was preowned so there was going to be problems with it. Excuse me but the item I buy should not be falling apart. Gamestop is a horrible company and there is a reason they are going bankrupt. I'll take my business to best buy or target for now on.

Negative experience: Save yourself the hassle, and go to the West Acres Mall Game Stop. The service there is better, the staff is friendlier, and you're going to actually be helped rather than looked down upon and treated poorly.
Fantastic experience: One of my children's favorite stops. Are always willing to order anything for you if they don't have it. I called ahead and they held an item for us. Staff is extremely helpful, even when I have "stupid" questions. I'm not always up on the games like the kids and grandkids.

Fantastic experience: Best Game Stop I've ever been to, thanks to Brandon. Our old PS4 stopped working so we brought it in to get it checked out. Yep. It's done for. So we bought a new one. But first, Brandon really did try everything to revive the one we brought in. I wish every Game Stop had such great customer service. We actually had called ahead and asked if we could stop in when we passed through town in a couple of hours, and if they wouldn't mind taking a look at our console. When we got there, as soon as we walked in, Brandon said "I'm just going to guess that you are the truckers with an unresponsive PS4?" Yeah, that's us. Our company is based right here in Fargo and so we're here frequently and we will 100% be back here at Game Stop Fargo again and again. 5 stars, all the way. Thanks, man!
