Positive experience: They closed all the other stores by me except this one and the one in the mall so this is my main GS now. One of the guys that works here is so nice and helpful. I wish I remembered his name. Really nice kid. Younger guy with glasses, Super helpful. Wish they had better pricing on pokemon cards but I get it.

Negative experience: Tried to buy one peice cards that were on the shelf, lady at the counter said they were NOT supposed to be out, and did not sell us the cards just to buy them for themselves... Tried to call the store for clarity but was left on hold for 7+ minutes. WORST GAMESTOP, won't be coming back.

They took my code from the other store that closed but makes me wonder how this one got spared tbh. Gl GameStop somethings gotta change fam. Get like the Wake Forest store EVERYWHERE or its over.

Fantastic experience: It's game stop not much else to add. They do have a few shelves full of $5 funko pop, only certain ones. But that's still a good deal especially if you collect those. And had a nice section of loose singles , for pokemon and MTG cards. Which was a newer thing to me at least

Fantastic experience: I just got a PlayStation 5 and I didn't have any gameS except for 3 PlayStation 4 games that I borrowed from my nephew. That should tell u that I haven't had a new gaming system since a PlayStation 3 which I haven't had in some years so it's like doing the gaming thing all over again and the only place to not go broke buying games is GameStop used games. I went in with less than 20 bucks and came out with 3 PS5 games and a PS4 game. 4 games and got change back was great and I had alot to choose from which was also great. The staff was so helpful and customer service gets two thumbs at this location for sure. I recommend this location for sure and I will definitely be back again soon! Thanks for the help that I desperately needed!!
Negative experience: I bought a game online for pickup here and they gave me a problem when I tried to have my kid's Mom pick it up. Highly inconvenient.

Fantastic experience: I bought a pokemon-themed Nintendo Switch and it was defective. Another gamestop said that I can only exchange for a regular because they were out and cannot get store credit to order a different one online. They sent me to this location because they supposedly had the smash bros version in stock. They didn't but Mike was able to order one online to be mailed.

Negative experience: Went in to return a preorder so I could purchase again with a gift card. Dude (apparently the manager) decided to return and purchase in the same transaction and fast talk me into a membership or something and not use my gift card on the game. He didn't tell me it was something I would be charged for. I didn't realize what he did until my wife looked at the receipt and she grabbed the game and went in very angry. He was rude to her when she asked him to fix it. He messed up the return and had to give her cash. Just don't go to GameStop.
Positive experience: Started going back to preordering with GameStop because Amazon runs late with releases. Great staff. Wish the warranty wasn't pushed so hard. I'll never need it because I store my games well, so hearing the pitch over and over again when I'm already not too big on talking is annoying.

Negative experience: Hello, Thursday 4/21/2022, I went into my local GameStop at North Pointe Shopping Center, 1804 N Pointe Dr suite f, Durham, NC 27705. The manger that day told me that PS5 would be restocked Saturday 4/23/2022. I asked what it would cost, and he told me in front of my fiance, another employee, and two other customers that the price would be $650 for the bundle and that it comes with Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Forbidden West and a black headset. I set aside the money for that price point and arrived at 6am Saturday morning and waited for 4 hours and when the manager for today came out and asked which bundle I wanted. I asked what the price was today and was told that it would be $790 after taxes. The manager on Thursday, even told me that the the price was for PowerUp Pro members, so i renewed that. The bundle cost was told to me that it was $650 and then this morning told the bundle is $750 and that after taxes its $790 is a complete bait and switch. I understand tax is added on after. I get that. North Carolina sales tax is 4.75% and so I would have paid $680 total. Then I call corporate and am told nothing can be done, I ask to speak to Customer Services manager, Tier 2 and the person I am talking to says that they wont do anything either. Then they give me the Regional Managers phone number, and its for a manager in Florida who covers St. Petersburg and Tampa area. This company is a joke and this practice of customer service and sales is deplorable. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE

Negative experience: I loved GameStop during my PS3 years. Now it's a lesson in frustration. The used games used to be separate from the new games. Now they're all together which means you have to touch the games to see if they are new or used. They are meant to be alphabetical, but once the first customer goes game hunting that scheme is over. Here's some free advice for all companies everywhere........."IF YOUR STRATEGY FOR SUCCESS DEPENDS ON CUSTOMER PARTICIPATION IT IS DOOMED"

Today when we went in, a man with long hair and a beard vocally huffed and rolled his eyes when we politely declined his pitch of membership. Completely unprofessional.
Positive experience: This gamestop is overall a great store, except the manager (large white male with long hair and beard) lacks customer service skills. I always feel unwelcome when he’s at the store, and he answers questions sarcastically. I have friends who share similar experiences with him. Other than the manager, this store is great!

Positive experience: as a special gift for good behavior I ordered a refurbished Xbox one for my son. When it arrived, one of the plugs was faulty and it did not work. We were distraught but the store staff, Jenny and Tyler found an option that worked for us. Jenny was supremely eager to help which made it a great day for us.

Negative experience: Store 4696 Michael.Chisinhall came too store in 12/1 to.purchase switch special 299 with gift card manager was called and he refused to give $25 gift card or store credit of 25 even though we still were purchasing 3 games. NOT good business.

Fantastic experience: I've been to GameStops before, and just wow. This place was better then I expected. As soon I walked in I was greeted, and well attended. Nicholas made the experience so easy. Both store teammates made my girlfriend, and our kids feel not only welcomed, but literally boosted our moods. I ended getting a pro GameStop membership, they made me aware of all promotions, and warranties availablessings. I will definitely be coming back for their new Lay-Away option on the Nintendo Switch. I would also highly recommend this location for it's phenomenal customer service.

Positive experience: There getting 3 stars from me only because gaming is my main hobby so I enjoy going to Gamestop to browse even though there unfair on there trade-in values and over price there pre-owned products. I recieved $15 cash for an xbox one controller and they turn around and sell it for $40. You get a few extra dollars for store credit but what good is that when there prices are e tremely high.
