Negative experience: Attempted to sell me a "new" game that was opened. At full price. This has happened before at gamestop. Why are brand new games being sold unsealed? Are they selling preowned or returned copies as new? This was a small indy game, not likely it was "tested" by staff, though even then you would be getting a used copy. This is unacceptable and feels like something that could expose gamestop to lawsuits. Did not buy it and purchased elsewhere. Arrived new AND sealed. Dont try and sell a burger with a bite taken out of it as "new".
Fantastic experience: Carol was very kind and patient with me as I asked her many questions regarding Pokémon cards as a Christmas gift for my nephew. She also was amazing in suggesting new video games for my PS5.
Negative experience: BEWARE BEFORE YOU BUY I purchased two Xbox games and one PlayStation 2 game from this GameStop location, and none of them worked. I called around to see if I could exchange them and was told I needed to return to the original store. When I asked if they could test the games to confirm they were defective, I was told they don’t have the proper consoles in-store—so they’re selling used games without verifying they actually work. Because I was just past the 7-day return window, I couldn’t exchange them. And if I wanted to trade them in, I’d only receive a few cents in return. It’s incredibly disappointing to see a company prioritize profit over product quality and customer trust. Just a friendly warning to others—make sure you know what you’re getting into.

Negative experience: GameStop isn’t what it used to be now. They’ll buy your console for 30 bucks and resell it for nearly 190.employees always have a bad attitude and it always smells in there.
Positive experience: This gamestop doesn't have the the best inventory of games, they do however have a great staff. Makes things a hell of a lot easier when it comes to questions and/or how to obtain certain items. Their service alone is why I'd come here. They actually have "answers". I've first hand seen their active manager take some massive abuse from a disgruntled shop goer and it was not pleasant. Said manager handled it like a true boss and if they see this review, they'll know (she) I'm talking about them. This was about 2 weeks ago. Some lady was trying to return items without a receipt past the return policy dates specified. She wasn't a "gamestop" member so she wasn't aware of some "rules". SMH.
Negative experience: Bend over backwards with a hour round trip drive to get to this gamestop for some 360 games. Buy my games but one doesn't work from scratches. Go back spending gas money and my time just to get another copy of the same game that ALSO doesn't work. It's not this locations fault but they don't bother testing games they buy so I would buy older games at own risk because they don't test them. 2/5 I hate having to waste my time getting another copy for the third time.

Negative experience: Don’t waste your time at this location. They hate their jobs and it’s very obvious. Went in to trade in a brand new game and the lady working the front desk couldn’t even look up to acknowledge my husband and I. Look over and the other individual working behind the desk is just staring didn’t crack a smile or greet or anything. We ended up leaving customer service is everything, not only that they offered $30 for a brand new unopened game.

Negative experience: Came in yesterday to pick up a copy of amoured core and they said they didn’t get it in that day , ok whatever no big deal , now I’m trying to call today to cancel my preorder I paid off and no one will answer if I get down there and no one is there , I’m not coming to GameStop anymore plain and simple , just go digital no more psychical releases from a failing company

Negative experience: Called to confirm whether they had a copy of a game in stock, they confirmed they had 1 available. When I drove over ten minutes later and tried to buy it, the clerk told me he didn’t realize it had already been reserved. The other clerk recommended I either come back at 9pm or the next day to buy the item. Why am I going to give you guys another opportunity to waste my time?
Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the better Game Stops. The employees are very sweet, and when they couldn't find the product I was looking for, they recommended me to another game store that had what I needed.

The store manager Ari, was quite helpful and gave me a breakdown of how best to solve my problem. I was told that she would personally oversee my issue and help me resolve it. I followed up the next business day and was met again by her honest and concise customer service. In a time where I’ve been recently lacking true customer service and support, it’s a breath of fresh air to know that people like Ari are still out there to help out a customer in need. Thank you for all your support. I recommend this store to anyone who wants staff that goes above and beyond.

I made it to the location 5 minutes before closing with cash in hand with intent to buy only for them to tell me then that I had to purchase it online before receiving it at the store and that they were closed.

Negative experience: Worst service. I bought a DS for my son didn’t function correctly. I try and return it same day, I get a response saying we’re sorry we can’t return it if it’s open. I remind you I had had my receipt and bought same day:l. So I asked for there number and the associate gave me wrong name and contact info. I called coorperate and they did apologized for there customer service and filed a complaint.

She was extremely knowledgeable and even went out of her way to make suggestions on upcoming releases. Great example of customer service!! Two thumbs way up from us. Experiences like these are what will keep us from buying online.
