Negative experience: Wasn't open at 3 pm on a Monday

Negative experience: THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND WHEN THEY COULDN'T FIND THE GAME!!!! I picked out 2 games and took them to the register. The employee rang me a up before getting the discs. He tells me that the 20 dollar game is nowhere to be found in their inventory and REFUSES to give me a refund. So I am stuck gathering 20 dollars worth of stuff I don't really want. This is definitely anti-consumer. This place has not been the same since switching locations. Do not shop here.

Negative experience: This place needs to change the name online. It's not thew gameroom anymore or anywhere close. Dial up games is is rude overpriced with a bad selection of items. Used to go to the gameroom every couple weeks before they switched. Will not go to this place for anything.

Positive experience: In the past when this store was in other spots it was great! Great selections, great people, and great games. But now it's not the same. They won't even buy a console if it isn't "old enough". Super lame. I really liked this place before, but I don't think I'll be coming back.

Fantastic experience: Super friendly people. They have a lot of stuff. We ended up getting a dreamcast and switch game.

Negative experience: Sold me an xbox controller with pretty bad stick drift earlier this month. The sales clerk I worked with told me to bring it back in if there were any issues. I brought it back in and a different sales clerk told me I had to bring it in within 7 days for them to do anything for me. 1st guy didn't say anything about 7 days. Bad experience

Positive experience: My son was the one actually shopping. But I did find a couple of blue Ray's for myself.

Positive experience: my brother sent me the address on google and it says the store closes at 8. i showed up at 6:30 and the open sign was off and doors were locked. would love it if they updated their hours honestly.

Negative experience: Great Store with a Great Cat! *update* Store has been gutted by the new owners. No more good unique games or consoles to speak of. Lincoln may have better selection, but the new owners are so focused on taking all the good games for conventions. I would not recommend selling here, if you want to keep the games in the community. I recommend going to Ben’s Gamezone or Gamers Oasis.

Negative experience: If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. This new Dialup Games that replaced Gameroom is objectively inferior to the original. They don't do good trades, console repairs, or even laptop and tv/monitor trading anymore. This is a neutered version of what came before and I'm disappointed of what Gameroom has become. Even the employees are bad, and are worse than the original. They're not of much help, cut you off and end the call before you get to ask more. Find somewhere else to buy retro games. This place is dead.

Fantastic experience: Great prices on video games, music, and movies!

Negative experience: Not gonna lie, I feel a little frustrated after our visit today. My boyfriend and I brought in a PS4 to get credit towards a PS5. Not a problem there, but upon getting home and looking at the PS5, it was dirty, globs of sticky stuff, dirt and dust all in the sides and ports. They charge $420 for just the PS5, cord and controller. No base deck or charger for the controller. They also didn't factory reset it and all the old owners accounts were still on there. So if you want your accounts safe, you'll have to factory reset any of your consoles before bringing them in. Good thing we're honest people and just deleted everything off this console. Just sketchy to sell things with other people's information still on there. I'm more irritated that the guy my boyfriend spoke to on the phone gave us a lower price originally, but failed to tell us what the terms were. We were also under the impression that since they "take them apart and fix them" that it would also include cleaning and factory resetting. Im not trying to be a Karen, but for the price we paid for this I expected a little more. Having employees on the same page probably would've helped to avoid confusion when we came in person. They also took one of our games we brought in and didn't give credit for it or even mention it when we were leaving lol. We didn't think about it until we left. I dont like leaving reviews usually but this just felt off.

Negative experience: I stopped in today to buy a used Xbox S controller. Upon selection from a very limited stock, the clerk rung me up. He failed to ask whether I wanted a receipt or not. Did not offer a bag for the product, then could not produce a receipt of purchase. The whole store was very shoddy and run down looking. I cannot do business with a company that does not respect their customers.

Negative experience: Love getting hung up on since you're not awake enough to politely explain policy on the phone.

Negative experience: People were friendly. I think the prices are kind of absurd though.

Negative experience: I arrived to the store an hour before closing only to find the doors locked... I called the store, and it went straight to voice mail. I was planning on stocking up on video games to play for the next month. I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. Zero stars for zero effort

Positive experience: I had good luck with these people prior to this day. Today I made it before closing time just to find a locked door. It would be nice to know if or when they will be open again since their hours obviously are not correct. With all due respect guys simple sign on the door would go a long way if you have to leave early.

Positive experience: Good selection of videos and games. Customer service is poor.

Negative experience: They're getting really low ball with the money paid for items I figured sooner or later

Fantastic experience: My daughter wanted a particular Nintendo Wii game, and I was having trouble finding it in the store due to the vast amount of used games they have. Despite being busy the guy behind the counter came out looked around all over for it, and then found it up in a different section for me. They did an awesome job and the price wasn't that bad at all for what was a very popular game back in the day, one of the Zelda games.

Negative experience: Very rude employee just hung up on me after inquiring about a controller and a game. Called back and asked if he just hung up on me. He said no I didn't hang up on you we have phone issues and then immediately hung up again. If you don't like your job then find a new one. I wanted to support a local business and there's literally a game stop right next to you. I hope you own the place buddy because I would fire you immediately if I were your employer. I gave the owner the benefit of the doubt when I heard about the whole gamers fiasco amongst other allegations but every time I drive by that place I will remember not to spend my money there since you don't value my patronage. That is no way to treat a customer looking to spend about $100 in your store. Not a fan of game stop but here's to hoping they put you out of business.

Fantastic experience: Guys are knowledgeable, friendly and are quick with repairs. They exchange broken ps4 controllers for a fixed one at $25 and will actually buy your broken controllers for $6. Replaced the hard drive in my ps4 for $90, was done within a week.

Fantastic experience: Love this place, it has the selection of old retro game shop, but the employees have excellent personal hygiene as opposed to the usual "standard" (you know what I'm talking about), are ACTUALLY knowledgeable about their products, and are friendly and helpful instead of snooty and dismissive! Cute kitties are just icing on the cake Can't recommend it enough!

Fantastic experience: This is where to go when you need anything... or even when you don't. The staff is great, selection is great, services are great... it's just a great place.

Negative experience: I had a not great experience with this place I came in with an Xbox series x controller and asked if the could fix an issue with a snapped battery cord. When we finally got service after half an hour of waiting they said it would take them 2 weeks at max because their electrician was out. I completely understand that however 4 weeks later when I still didn't get a call my father goes up to the shop and asks why I haven't gotten it back. They had no explanation but they still tried to make him pay for it but my dad argued that they had taken twice as long as they said they had and didn't even know if they had fixed the problem so he left. When he got home the controller had major stick drift issues it hadn't had before there were stains that hadn't been their because I do not eat or drink anywhere near my xbox. It is now almost completely broken and it had none of these issues before. So if you need your stuff fixed I advise you to use somewhere else. P.S. they have a cat free roaming the store and nowhere on the building do I see a cat warning for people who are allergic so if you are don't go to this store and they might have dogs in the back but I'm not sure.

Fantastic experience: Helpful staff, huge selection. It took no time at all to get what I was looking for at a great price. I also brought in a disc for resurfacing, the guy was really nice and gave me a discount since it took longer than expected.

Positive experience: Friendly courteous staff both times we visited that alone calls for 4 stars. AS far as the store it's warehouse but they take keep better care of the equipment inside I was looking 4 a gun to our wii they had several only issue was that they were dirty dirty they wanted $40 for used guns.

Fantastic experience: Im a game collector from out of state and came in to see what was what. I can attest that this is probably one of the best game stores I’ve been to. Loads of stock, friendly staff, and prices are right in line with Pricecharting. In North Idaho, my local game store closed down and all that was left was a chain store that overprices everything. This store was a breath of fresh air. I purchased GunValkyrie for the original Xbox and the staff price-matched the game to its going rate, as the game was put out for sale during a one-off spike in it’s price. The best part? They sell online so I can purchase from them anytime. There is no doubt this will NOT be my last purchase from them!

Fantastic experience: Ordered online. Found these guys from a YouTube video while searching for a very difficult to find game "Super Mario 3D All Stars" for Switch. The only places I could find it was overly inflated on Ebay, or on the awful video game site DKOldies. This game shop not only had it, but had it for a reasonable price and even a reasonable price CIB. I have nothing but the highest praise for these guys, keeping retro and modern gaming affordable for those who can't pay excessive prices for every game we own. Shipping was fast, pretty cheap and arrived in perfect packaging. Cannot recommend enough if you are looking for a retro game and can't find it for a decent price elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: I took my boyfriend here on the worst day of his life. His cat of 13 years had just ended her own life in a horrific freak accident. We had just gotten done lifting her lifeless stiff body out of our home and dropped her off at the humane society to be cremated. I drove my tearful boyfriend to Gameroom as a last resort to cheer him up, and was immediately greeted by not only the friendly shop cat, but also by the pure angels of employees that work here. Just goes to show that you never know what someone is going through. Give the cat and the humans a raise. 12 stars.

Fantastic experience: My hubs and I absolutely love this place. Just moved to the area and we will be in here often. They have decent prices and some really cool stuff in there for gamers, and have a very large selection of Bluerays and DVDs. Wanted to see the kitty but I guess it was cat napping today. Cat people are awesome.

Positive experience: This is a great place to sell all your movies and games. In store credit is a great deal as it gives you more than cash and the employees are nice and knowledgeable. They also have. Buy 4 get the 5th free deal on a lot of movies and cds.

Fantastic experience: Helpful, friendly, and full of knowledge. The staff and the owner had the cord we needed and the games at a low price. Other places wanted more then double what we payed at Gameroom and/or was going to have to order what we needed. We had questions about a game console that had stopped working and one of the employees told us what we needed to do to fix it our selves and it worked. What a great group of employees and a wonderful experience.

Fantastic experience: Great selection, knowledgeable and entertaining staff, and one of the best disc resurfacing machines in town. Repair techs do a phenomenal job on repairs (saved my SNES and replaced several of my cartridge batteries). Definitely give them a visit!

Fantastic experience: Incredible selection of games to be found here, above and beyond anything I've seen in other game stores. The staff knew their stuff and didn't try to upsell me. Would highly recommend for all my fellow retro gamers.

Negative experience: Took my controller in months ago controller was dealing with slight stick drift nothing to major I take it in pay to get it repaired and bought a couple other things they told me about a week or 2 they call me 2 weeks later telling me they couldn’t fix my controller mind you the only problem being the slight stick drift quite an easy fix they told me I could come back in and pay an extra 20 bucks for a new controller or come back and get my controller which at the time when I took it in it worked when I got it back nothing at all worked

Positive experience: Great place, fair prices, friendly staff that knows their stuff and gave me a more than fair price on my used games. I went to Gamers in the past when it was in this same spot and I'm happy to be able to still get the same vibe when I walk in. If I were to make some suggestions, I would make all price tags visible always and maybe some new carpet or laminate wood flooring would really spruce up the joint.

Positive experience: It was okay. Honestly it was a bit plain and dingy. We bought a game for my son but they seemed to have a hard time finding a copy of the game he wanted that wasn't all scratched up.

Talked about current game prices and how the store functions with their trades. Staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Great turn around for this store from previous visits.

I ordered it and had it shipped. It came at a reasonable time and the disc and everything was in good condition. I will continue to do business with these people.
