GameStop: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Big shoutout to Ashley for her customer service. She is awesome and patient with everyone. This GameStop is bigger than any GameStop in town. I don’t want to hype it up but they have a great selection of stuff and a cool retro area.
Negative experience: Wao the attitude of this lady opening the store is super bad, she obviously does not want to work, and can not work with public. Worst pro customer experience, we are supposed to know everything apparently
Negative experience: Ive lived in the area for about 15 years, the manager who is there has been there quite a bit of time as well, she has been CONSISTENTLY rude. Without fail. I’d rather take the drive and just go to the loop.
Negative experience: Absolutely HORRIBLE. Ive been waiting outside for over an hour in the cold with a sign up on their door that states “be right back in 15 minutes.” There are kids out here waiting to go in, Ive see at-least 10-12 people walk up to the door and pull on it to see if its open and people waiting over 30 minutes before walking away. This is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. Like common… really??? Just… why? Its also freezing cold outside & no one picks up the phone. Crazy. Reported to corporate as-well. Mind you, it was 6pm when we arrived and they close at 8pm. There’s 15 min left before closing and no one has come to the door yet. Again… crazy. Update: We waited until a little after 8:15pm - just incase, along with other customers and still no one came to the door.
Negative experience: The Big girl cashier has a horrible attitude!!! Never shopping there again
Negative experience: I’m giving this GameStop a two star review because the experience was mixed. Before driving over, I called the store to confirm that they had the Nintendo Switch game I was looking for in stock. I was told they did have it, so I made the trip based on that information. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the staff couldn’t find the game anywhere in the store. It was pretty frustrating since I wouldn’t have driven out of my way if I had known it wasn’t actually available. That said, the employees were polite and tried to help, but it felt disorganized and like the inventory system wasn’t accurate. I ended up wasting time and gas for nothing, which really takes away from the convenience of shopping there. GameStop is supposed to be reliable when it comes to checking stock, especially when customers call ahead. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it also wasn’t a great one. Better communication and more accurate inventory tracking would go a long way. Until that improves, I can’t give more than three stars.
Negative experience: Every time I come to this GameStop, the experience is the same no matter which employee is working. The staff consistently comes across as rude, dismissive, and uninterested in helping customers. I usually brush it off, but this visit really crossed a line, especially since I was there with my kids. I simply asked an employee if they carried Monster Rancher. Her response was, “What you see is what you get!!” said with obvious attitude. I dont even know what that game is, and before I could ask anything else, she walked away. No explanation, no effort, no basic courtesy.Customer service is not a high-stress combat zone. I say that as a soldier who operates under immense pressure daily and yet I still manage to treat people with respect and professionalism. Personal issues are real, but they don’t excuse taking it out on customers, especially families just trying to enjoy a simple shopping experience. This feels like a leadership problem more than an individual one. When poor attitudes are consistent across staff, it points to a lack of accountability and standards. GameStop can and should do better.
Negative experience: The store itself is excellent, and I have always had good experiences with GameStop. Unfortunately, the customer service during this visit was the worst I have ever experienced, specifically from an employee who identified herself as Maria. I purchased a Nintendo Switch 2, and I was offered an additional protection plan. Before deciding, I asked what warranty was already included with the console. I was told it came with 7 days of store warranty and 1 year directly from Nintendo. Based on that information, I chose not to purchase the extended protection. At that point, the employee’s attitude changed completely. I explained that the console was a Christmas gift and would not be opened until that date, so I asked how the warranty would work in that situation. Her response became rude and dismissive. She told me she would not answer any more questions and even said she would call the police, despite there being no justification for such a reaction. I was very surprised and disappointed by this behavior. A customer should not be treated poorly simply for declining an optional service. The store is great, but this type of customer service seriously damages the overall experience.
Fantastic experience: Store manager rocks!!! Love how she keeps it real and honest. There are just a lot of sensitive people out there that can handle the fact that customer is not always right.
Negative experience: Often closed during normal business hours
Negative experience: The costumer service was horrible
Negative experience: Today i get the worst custumer service by a girl was on the counter ,This is how companys loose people , i never come back here again....
Negative experience: Store had horrible customer service and never picks up the phone .
Negative experience: Unless you like to be lied too , or if your ok with management telling you you CANT buy some games another associate just showed you 15 minutes ago....AVOID THIS STORE. TRUSTME! you just walking right into a ton of disappointment!Theres so many bad things about how this store is ran its crazy. MY 13 YEAR OLD HATES HUNTERS CREEK GAMESTOP! theres a reason...
Negative experience: Would it kill them to answer the phone once out of the 5 times I’ve called, just to ask for a game in stock after confirming online inventory, stating they have it in stock, fast forward same day I went in person just to tell me they did not have the game in stock …. Worthless. SMH
Fantastic experience: This Might Be The Biggest GameStop Store I’ve Ever Been To
Fantastic experience: Best GameStop in Florida! Ashley was AMAZING and super helpful and friendly. I Highly recommend this GameStop.
Negative experience: No one picks up the phone. It’s horrible.
Negative experience: I would like to share my experience with GameStop, a store I generally enjoy, as each location offers unique items, including enticing collectibles and a range of games. My family and I love exploring different GameStops to discover what treasures we can find together. Occasionally, we stumble upon items that are sold out from the manufacturers, which adds to the thrill of our adventures. Recently, we decided to visit a specific GameStop, driving an hour to check it out. The building itself was newer, and I was excited to find a wide array of toys and Funko Pops; however, I noticed there were significantly fewer games compared to other locations. We arrived on June 11th around 3 p.m. and were sadly met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The staff member on duty did not greet us; in fact, he simply stared at us without offering any help or assistance. As we waited, another customer zipped through the checkout process, purchasing his item and leaving without issue. When it was finally our turn, the employee rang up our items and asked if we would like to provide a phone number for their rewards program. I politely declined, stating that I wasn’t interested in signing up. Much to my surprise, he insisted that providing a phone number was mandatory to complete the purchase. Reluctantly, I shared my number, hoping it would resolve the situation. However, things took a turn for the worse. The employee then began to request an extensive amount of personal identifiable information, informing me that since I declined the rewards, I still had to provide this information to finalize my purchase. I was taken aback and expressed that I had never encountered such excessive requirements at any GameStop in the past, and all I wanted was to buy my items. Despite my insistence, he held firm, leaving us no choice but to leave empty-handed after our long journey. I found myself questioning why he needed so much information when he was supposedly looking for my account details and why there seemed to be a lack of standard practices common to other establishments. His tone grew increasingly rude, exacerbating an already frustrating situation. I couldn't help but worry about the implications of sharing such personal information, as it opens the door to potential identity theft. In hopes of resolving this, I attempted to call GameStop’s customer service for assistance, aiming to retrieve the items we wanted. Unfortunately, the call only yielded a message stating that representatives were busy with other customers and I should request a callback, potentially by 8 p.m. Regrettably, I never received any follow-up. Upon further investigation, I discovered many other customers had experienced similar issues at this location. It was disheartening to realize I should have checked the reviews before visiting. I strongly advise anyone to think twice about visiting this particular GameStop unless you’re prepared for a similarly disheartening experience that could leave you feeling undervalued. This was, without question, the most disappointing GameStop experience I have ever had. It’s clear that this type of employee behavior is tolerated, and there seems to be no corrective action in place to ensure customer satisfaction. I can confidently say I will never return to this store, and this incident has left me questioning whether I will visit any GameStop again in the future. Based on other reviews, it appears the company has yet to listen to their customers and address the issues in this location.
Negative experience: We’ve been to a Game Stop before never had a problem paying, however the guy at the register said we HAVE to provide a number then asked for a first name we said we prefer not to and he said we can’t pay unless we give him the information, my husband got really upset and said it is illegal to ask for personal information and we simply left.
Fantastic experience: Absolutely amazing midnight release. Store manager Ashley and her crew made this so easy and fun. They truly love their jobs.
Fantastic experience: Hands down the best employees there. There’s a lady there that has the best customer service! Feels like I’m a kid again with the nostalgia of shopping for great video game deals. Honestly the best GameStop I have been too. Lots of Funko’s for your collection!!
Negative experience: Just came into the store and asked for PS5 price, the lady at the counter was kind of rude as she said “just regular price, retail price, $500” and I said “o never had one so that is why I am asking” and she said “now you know so you don’t ask again, just regular price price.” A little later another customer approached her and asked something about a product and her attitude towards the customer was like “what a dumb question” the guys just turned around and left. I have been in this store several times before and never was treated like a dummy for asking a question, but, there is always a first right!… to me this will be my last at this store.
Negative experience: Such a bad customer service, Ashley had an attitude when we literally just went to her to pay for things we were buying and she didn’t offer a bag for all of the things we got
Negative experience: Worst retro game stop in America. The employees are taking the games and reselling them. Confirmed by other employees from other stores. Do not waste your time coming here if you looking for retro games. Needs new management and employees. Never put out anything new.
Negative experience: I held back leaving a negative review, even after past bad experiences at this location, which resulted in me cancelling my pro membership. Previously I was lied to by phone reps stating I could pre order 151 online for store pickup and still get the promo card in store. I learned this wasn't the case and they made me purchase 15$ of product to obtain the promo. I had to call the store probably 80 times to get someone to talk to about this, and they offered like a minimal discount if I came and bought more product. Now lately the store hasn't had almost any Pokemon stock, and the new set prismatic evolutions had an official GameStop announcement stating they would have stock and it would be a limit of 2 per customer. I arrived the morning of release to be told they only had pre ordered items available and they should get more stock later. I walked in tonight to be told they won't be restocking the set at all. Clearly this company is still the same shill shell that doesn't care about it's employees and customers and is all about a money grab. I wouldn't be surprised if the employees hoarded it straight from the truck. I truly appreciate GameStop being another entity ruining this hobby for collectors and children.
Fantastic experience: They were kind and fairly sigma sigma boi sigma boi.
Negative experience: The times I have bought a new Nintendo switch cassette when I open the package from its supposedly original wrapping I see the cassette on the back and it is scratched as if it had been used. Plus the times I've bought Nintendo Switch games from other stores they've never come out scratched.
Fantastic experience: Great store! Gabriel is awesome. He is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.
Fantastic experience: I needed a new ps5 controller and Nelson helped me find a new color and exactly what I was looking for he’s fast and knowledgeable thank you for your time!
Fantastic experience: Came in to get a new headset, I was helped by Nelson when I arrived. Showed me different options and helped me get a great product at a great price! Great customer service, helpful and very knowledgable.
Fantastic experience: Went in to gamestop to buy a normal ps5 controller but ended up walking out with a dualsense edge and i love it! An absolute game changer. Thanks to Nelson for his knowledge of the product and informing me on what features i have been missing out on!
Fantastic experience: Shout Out to Gabriel for helping me out today. I was able to get the Last PS5 Disk Drive and he was able to hold it for me while i had a 1hr commute since everywhere else was sold out! Thank you bro!
Negative experience: This location never answers the phone. I’ve called several other GameStop locations and the phone is answered after one or two rings.
Negative experience: Drove an hour to see what this new retro store was. Was pretty excited about it but when I got there they had the most pathetic library. If you even want to call it them of Xbox 360. Wii Wii u and PS3 games. Nothing good all garbage
Fantastic experience: The staff at this location are particularly friendly and helpful. We've been shopping here for several years at this location and we've always had great experiences
Negative experience: I purchased online a Xbox one limited edition when opened the box the xbox controller was not appear ti be on the gamestop online page please don't make customers disappointed when selling online upload real pictures of the real items you selling YOU AS A STORE DEPENDS ON CUSTOMERS. I'm a gamestop customer for over 25 years just it is embarrassing to get the answer I got form the store cashier.
Negative experience: They do NOT honor warrantees. I tried returning a headset and he wouldn’t do it. The guy at the store had a terrible attitude and I had to go to target to get the game I wanted. not recommended.
Negative experience: Bought a limited edition brand new game which supposed to have 3 postcards included. After I exited I checked and nothing was inside. So I simply went back to asked about it but the seller did not had a clue about it and couldn’t care less to him. 50 bucks for missing parts of the product
Negative experience: Went there to pick up a game that I was searching for all month long call them yesterday they're the only store with it got there today at 2:15 p.m. and the damn store is closed but their website says they are open
Negative experience: Called and called every 20mins for hours (noon - 4pm) and no one ever picked up the phone.
Fantastic experience: Jaxon today is probably the reason I hate cloud gaming.
Negative experience: Love this location but experience with preorder was horrible. Pre ordered a game MONTHS ago. Came back three separate times to be told game would not be delivered to this location or surrounding stores. Refunded but just disappointed with this whole thing. Staff was nice, store was clean. Just do not preorder from here.
Negative experience: I've been waiting for 30 minutes and no one is here. This is unprofessional. I'm wondering if the person went to the car show
Negative experience: This gamestop went from being one of the best to one of the worse. I don't know why gamestop stores are giving customers such a BAD customer service! Are they looking to go out of business?
Fantastic experience: I like this store, the team is friendly, the answer all your questions, the store is clean and very organized
Negative experience: For some reason, the store hates answering the phone been trying to call for the past two hours. Nobody never picks up.
Negative experience: Very rude staff. Did the whole finger up "we'll be right with you" and proceed to talk about gossip and ignore me standing there waiting to buy stuff for 5 minutes until I just left. There were 4 employees and not one was interested in helping me buy their stuff. Might as well just get it for cheaper on amazon or literally anywhere else. Probably faster to wait for shipping then wait for them to finally let me check out.
Negative experience: They had a deal online for a PS5 game. I select the NEW option. Thus, I bought and paid for a brand new game. When I picked the game up they only had an open/used game and did not want to return my order.
Negative experience: Usually have good experiences in this store but unfortunately not this time. Called several times before going and nobody answered the phone. When I decided to go anyway- the guy was rude and abrupt and refused to check other stores for me for what I was looking for which I know they do bc they’ve done it a million time before- thanks for nothing
Negative experience: Rude employee when I went in this morning. Not helpful at all and seemed like he was annoyed by me asking a simple question. Will not be coming back for sure.
Negative experience: I was looking to purchase a Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch Lite for my daughter and Andy behind the counter was not helpful. He probably had the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I don’t know a lot about the switch or full console and I was asking about any type of guarantee or warranty on the used items, I wanted to know if the new console would come with a game, I was also curious if there was a difference in price for downloading games versus buying cartridges. He seemed to be extremely bothered that I had so many questions, he didn’t seem to want to leave his area behind the counter. He stated all I wanted to do was argue and didn’t really want to buy anything. All while I had 5 games in my hand that I wanted to purchase for my daughter. In the end I said I would just buy everything from another GameStop that wanted my money. This is when he decided to call me an idiot and tell me I should leave. I hope no one has the same experience I did and that this young man develops better customer service skills in the future.
Fantastic experience: Very nice store with a large selection of games and merchandise.
Negative experience: The associate (Andy) sucks big time. This persona have 0 multitask skills. My brothers stand in line for over 20min a with 0 assistance. Andy was busy with a couple deciding to trade in a game console or not. I get it some transactions will take longer but you can pause, excuse yourself and cash other people out. Please don’t go to this store. Customer service it’s not a priority. Wish I could do 0 stars. I ask for someone else to come and help, but Andy stated he’s the only one in the store on a Saturday.
Negative experience: It's 8:53pm fix the sign on door I was at location at 8:30pm.
Negative experience: More like Game gooooo somewhere else to trade in your old games
Negative experience: Andy is a liar and tells you things are valid and would honor 30 days on a used console and now it’s under the 30 days and now it’s not valid. It doesn’t state anywhere on the box about defective hardware only for 30 days. Just “Game Play Guarantee” I would give 0 stars at this point but definitely needs to have an attitude adjustment. Was rude to a pair before me because they couldn’t speak English well enough. This employee is the definition of rude.
Fantastic experience: Miss the way these stores used to be....
Fantastic experience: Friendly & knowledgeable staff.
Fantastic experience: Quick and fast!
Fantastic experience: It has been a while since we have been back in a GameStop but as always they did not disappoint. The person working there today did an incredible job of helping us and even offering options we didn't know were available. Really glad to spend support this store
Fantastic experience: Amazing & friendly service! Answered all our questions and doubts! Loved chatting about HP! Felt like I was talking to a friend, about HP & Video Games. Many GS, I've gotten many pushy, and not welcoming more sales people. It made it awakward and uncomfortable. NOT the case here at all! The store was super organzied, easy to find everything. Its greatly decorated. It feels kind of empty for the size, but there's still plenty to choose from. And a welcoming vibe! Many GS, sadly don't have the. Don't forget to get a selfie with Lego Batman! Also loved that the sale, clearance etc were well marked and organized!
Fantastic experience: We went in to get our daughter a Nitendo Switch Lite as an upcoming birthday gift. The store clerks were very friendly and helped us get the right color and installed the screen protector on the device for us. The store was very clean and it was easy to find everything we were looking for.
Fantastic experience: Clean!!! The cleanest Game Stop I have ever been in!
Negative experience: Smelly, rude, on his phone while checking me out
Fantastic experience: Better GameStop then most , really good spot for games, Pokémon and collectables!
Fantastic experience: Helpful staff, this location always has what I'm looking for
Fantastic experience: What's not to love. They price-matched their online price for COD Cold War. Love this place, and this specific location.
Fantastic experience: Great place to get rare video game toys and objects and they have the best price for Pokémon cards around there
Fantastic experience: Very clean and amazingly kept up. Everyone was nice and answered all my questions. The store is huge with a lot to select from and seems they stay in stock with cool stuff. I wouldn’t mind coming in regularly!
Positive experience: Got what I needed and they ordered what they didn't have
Fantastic experience: I stopped here to inquire about an OLED switch. The employees were so helpful and kind. One of them showed me where all of the switches were and explained all there is to know about each kind of switch, game, and remote available. This is where I'll be going for all my gaming wants!
Negative experience: GameStop company rating. Location is fine.
Fantastic experience: Great place for video games. Just wish the trade in value was more.
Fantastic experience: Good option, crew friendly and many options
Fantastic experience: Had a great time at this gamestop it feels very retro but advanced at the same time. Staff is also very nice JD and Michelle were very nice and seem like really great people
Positive experience: Great games
Fantastic experience: Nice, clean atmosphere. I was aimlessly browsing for a secret santa gift a good eight minutes before I went up to Wes, an employee there. He answered any questions I had before making a very good suggestion to help me on my way of purchasing the perfect gift. Nothing but great information and reminders from a great guy with a great English accent. Easily my best experience with any Gamestop to date! Give this guy a raise or something.
Positive experience: Nice big store.
Fantastic experience: I’ve received nothing but exceptional service here. Definitely would recommend.
Negative experience: Lack of employees to properly run the store and the manager that was there had a horrible attitude, never coming back.
Fantastic experience: Greatest
Negative experience: Horrible customer service
Negative experience: Empty
Fantastic experience: Good service!
Negative experience: 2 times I had to go back to change defective consoles...got me running town trying to get the right one
Negative experience: Don’t know how to answer the phone called like 5 maybe 6 times don’t answer the phone and all I needed to ask you was one question but couldn’t answer the phone great customer service
Fantastic experience: Staff was very helpful and friendly. They also showed me good deals.
Negative experience: The best in all orlando
Positive experience: I love GameStop's employees. Rarely do I meet people, no matter which store I visit, who have as much video game knowledge and overall nerd culture knowledge as these people. If it was just based on the employees alone it would have been five stars. But over the past 5 years or so, and especially the last year and a half, GameStop's tag line of "Power to the Players" has fallen to the wayside, instead becoming "Power from the Players". No deals like they used to have, no decent incentives or discounts as before. GameStop is actively becoming a place gamers ignore unless there's no other alternative in picking up their game. I honestly hope the business can get back to their motto or else they're soon to be done in this world.
Fantastic experience: Super nice place. Very open floor plan. I had called ahead because I wanted to purchase a switch and they're in high demand right now so you have to call each store and see if they're getting any which is fair. Luckily I was able to order through the store and get it shipped to my house. The dude that helped me out was named alfredo. He was a nice person and helped me with getting a Pro membership and just explain how I can get discounts and coupons sent through my phone and the app so I decided to do it and I got some protective gear for like $5 off so that was cool. All in all the store was awesome the service was good and the person was knowledgeable so that always helps. I recommend to anyone buying any system to go ahead and call ahead first instead of making the trip there because you might just be out of luck.
Positive experience: Out of most games to try and get you to order delivery or online. Target, next door, had everything in stock and the staff didn't have to upsell me on other products. Prices are consistent with other locations and they have a good amount of small miscellaneous products to sell (pops, toys, etc)
Positive experience: Always loved stores like these, sad digital is killing it.
Fantastic experience: Spacious clean location. Knowledgeable friendly staff.
Fantastic experience: Great customer service. Store is not packed with items in the way.
Fantastic experience: There's always something cool to get
Fantastic experience: This place always keeps up to date with the newest games but also keeps a fair amount of classic old games. They also have some non video game items like cards and toys that are nice to see. The staff are very knowledgeable and answer your questions.
Negative experience: the staff is nice, but you cannot reach out to any game stop or to this one in particular . their apparently always busy. i pre ordered a figure, went yesterday and they said they didn't have it yet. checked today and its already sold out. i payed 8 dollars to pre order a thing yall aint even gonna save it for me. HORRIBLE
Fantastic experience: I usually go to this one when I make a trip to GameStop. This is the biggest one in the area and they have a pretty decent selection. The staff are friendly and helpful and I've never had a bad experience here!
Negative experience: Never answers the phone, went to the store, called and watch them ignore the phone. I order a controller paid for it and yet to receive it while other stores have it in stock
