Negative experience: Almost every time I come here, there are several people waiting in line for their single cashier that takes forever chatting with customers, often about Pokemon cards. Meanwhile another employee who, for some reason, hasn't been trained to operate the cash register, just stands around watching. I have walked out while planning to buy stuff out on several occasions because of this happening. As if this weren't enough reason not to buy from them, I later attempted to order a PS5 for Same-Day Delivery. Not only did the order not come same day, it took me calling the store directly on the next day for them to acknowledge that I had even placed an order. They also told me I would have to call corporate to get my money back for the extra money I spent on same day delivery. Eventually I called corporate to just cancel my order, where they said they would have to go to higher ups in order to get me my money back. Because taking $500 from someone and then going silent makes total sense for the consumer. I ended up finding the same console for cheaper and faster delivery at Walmart, and I advise everyone else do the same. No clue how this store has stayed afloat.

Negative experience: If I can give 0 star I would. I have been a customer of GameStop for over 10 years I bought a ps5 tried to return it at this location they told me i could not return it i called corporate was on the phone with them for 30 minutes plus they told me i could return the playstation at any GameStop location i went back in tried to return they called their hotline and the hotline said it was up to her to do the return she still did not want to return it even though she could her name is SHENE she deserves to be fired this is poor customer service the whole time she was talking to us she was touching her lip piercings and nose piercings and they started to bleed on the counter. I just went to another location. They returned it.

Negative experience: Sean is the worst. They use their hiked up leg for intimidation. Refusing to use my digital ID and once providing a physical ID was still met with tyranny. It’s just game stop, you don’t have to use your thunder thighs to threaten people. Audrey on the other hand was nice and informative. She was helpful and not on a high horse. Sean needs to be more like Audrey.

Negative experience: Shaun or Shawn was very abrupt hiking his leg up and then refusing my service after not accepting digital id. I went back with physical id only to be told I needed employment information rudely. Other employees here and at other store are usually very knowledgeable and helpful but I guess Shawn was having a bad day. Horrible experience would opt to drive an extra half hour to avoid the lack of professionalism and the tyranny of the manager here

Negative experience: This place is so freaking slow. Every time I go in there there’s a line with maybe 3 people tops. It literally takes them 15 minutes to check out 1 person. I want to spend my money to support a local business but they make the process so ungodly painful. I can’t figure out how they stay in business. This place is the reason people spend their money and shop online and not in brick and mortar shops anymore. I’m almost positive they do this on purpose so the kids continue to beg their parents to buy little stuffed animals. It truly is a miserable experience attempting to spend your money at GameStop. And it smells like a daycare

Fantastic experience: Love this store! Went in today for the Black Friday sale. Shane the manager was awesome and helped me get everything I needed. Super awesome store and staff. Fantastic experience: I’m from out of town, and on a whim my wife and I decided to stop at the closest GameStop to check out the new avatar set that had just released. We were so lucky we choose this one, hands down the absolute best experience I’ve ever had at a game stop. Super friendly staff, good selection of inventory, nice clean store. The staff was very friendly, super knowledgeable, and you can tell they were proud of their store. This store needs something special done because they are the best. I will definitely go out of my way to go back to this store when I go back to Jacksonville.

Negative experience: Bought the Madden 26 for $65 for my son and turned out to be the wrong system. They wouldn't return it and suggested I could take trade in value of $15. Poor customer service. She also made me wait in line for 15 min while she talked pokemon cards. The original male employee with long hair should have been trained to ask if we have an Xbox x before making our purchase. Game stop do better.

Fantastic experience: I just had such a great experiene with Kara! I came in looking for a Just Dance Nintendo Switch game for my kiddos. Kara was so friendly, greeted me as soon as I walked in, was able to help me so quickly, and with so much knowledge about the game in general. It was one of the better customer experiences I've had anywhere.

Negative experience: Worst customer service I’ve ever had at a GameStop. I came in with my young son to buy Pokémon cards, and the female associate (mid to late 20s, long hair, plus size) immediately ruined the experience. She told me not to “coach” my son—who is simply very shy around new people. When I explained that, she sarcastically replied, “We’re all shy, that’s why we work at a gaming store.” Completely unprofessional, rude, and unnecessary—especially toward a child. If you can’t treat customers, particularly kids, with basic kindness and respect, you shouldn’t be in a customer-facing job. This was supposed to be a fun moment for my son, and instead, we walked out disappointed with our experience. Please grow up and act like an adult. We visit other nearby locations in our area and this particular location was the only negative experience that we’ve had. These cards are merely pieces of cardboard, but the memories that parents are able to create with their children are the true treasure.

Fantastic experience: This location is AWESOME. Their trading card selection is INSANE. I’ve never seen Japanese booster boxes of Pokemon cards at GameStop before and the prices on them were fairly competitive considering the current market. I wish I lived near this location because I’d be spending all my money here every week Today was a Pokemon drop Saturday and the employees working at open were very professional and handled the line of customers efficiently and with a smile. If you love TCG you should definitely come check out this location.

Negative experience: Rude costumer service . Bad energy made my feel uncomfortable. I only ask the girl behind the counter. She can give me a price on PS five controllers. Negative experience: A total of 40 prismatic SPC available and only 25 people in line. Instead of allowing everyone to be able to obtain one product the manager allowed the first 20 to be able to get 2 items.. Mind you the previous release was one item per person. Very inconsistent, if there is plenty of product available why not let everyone get a chance to purchase one instead of allowing people to scalp and most likely resell the items. After most received the SPC they were already trying to exchange for another better looking SPC due to the packaging. Huge let down and very disappointing.

Negative experience: I have been thinking about writing a review all day but decided I’d just call and explain my frustration but no one answers the phone so here I am. My 12 year old and I are new to collecting pokemon besides when I was her age. The manager at this store is a very rude lady and is not good for bringging people new into the hobby. After waiting outside for 2 hours the store opened and everyone proceeded to get their 2 blooming waters boxes. When it was my turn, she assumed I was “in a group” with the person behind me and tried to tell me I could only get one. After going back and forth she rang up both. She asked me for my phone number which I gave. She stated she could not find my account(again trying to get me to only buy one) after a back and forth again I found my membership number(that had all my correct info I gave her originally) she then asked me who I am chasing. I stated I’ll keep it sealed and my daughter will open one. (Which is none of her business in the first place) she proceeded to say “well they are going to mass reprint so good luck with that” like it’s shameful to hold sealed product or something. What a disgrace to customer service,GameStop, and the hobby. Will not be shopping here again.

Fantastic experience: Great experience at this GameStop location. The employees were assisting me with a trading card sale and were very helpful and knowledgeable. Sometimes you go into a game store as a woman and they look at you like “why are you here?” Fortunately, that did not hold true during this visit as there were two very nice young women running the store. Negative experience: Probably my last time shopping at a GameStop ever. They will be the next Blockbuster. I went to use my protection plan for my $250 headphones and I was told their protection plan policy was updated in Dec to give you USED headphones if they have them in stick and not replace them with a new headset. I was furious. I didn't pay for a protection plan to get hand me down replacements. With this update to their policy there is no need for anyone to shop at Gamestop for accessories anymore. Buy online, Walmart, Best Buy they all offer better protection plans. RIP GameStop sorry not sorry

Fantastic experience: On 3/16/24 it was my first trip to this location and first time since I left New York. I went and traded my Xbox series for the PlayStation 5 disc edition. The representative he went above and beyond taking care of my service. He was very polite, friendly and very professional. Fantastic experience: I have always loved GameStop, because I had 2 kids that played Gameboy, Playstation one, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, the Xbox, Xbox two, then Xbox 360, so they had all the games that came out, you could pre order, and they would have sales on games my kids wanted. They had gifts that were from game's they played too, like Pokémon and more. It was easy to find stuff at Christmas time too! Great game store!

Negative experience: I bought a cable that supposed for the ps5 but it was the ps4. I thought it would be easy exchange however I was wrong. The gentleman at the counter said with out a receipt I could not return, exchange or get store credit. He said corporate changed the policy no receipt no return or anything. I said it was on my Amex and I showed him where and when I bought it and he said sorry you would have to call corporate. The kicker was the cable I needed was more expensive! It was only $10 buck so I just left and I will never shop at GameStop ever an again.

Negative experience: I traded in 6 ps5 controllers on 9.25.23 because the controllers are not charging and purchased a new one. On 9.30.23 had to exchange the new controller for another new one because of the same issue. I just fell out of the return window. The manager could not help. I've been going to gamestop since late 90's. Every year, I buy 3-5 games faithfully, every year. And because the manager did not approve of the exchange, I went to Walmart and bought a couple of the controllers and a docking station (all on sale). Gamestop, lost a customer for life. Sometimes you have to make things right. Think about that at the next corporate meeting on why y'all going under.

Fantastic experience: Honestly, Ive had many good experiences here before. Always willing to engage in conversation. I was in today alone and they were doing some training for new recruits. Instantly they asked if i was looking for anything specific then continued to let me know where i can find everything in that genre! I was able to find everything without hesitation. The reason for this review is mainly for Ashley (the manager) and her new recruits (taylor and i didnt get the other ones name sadly!) but they were all so kind and courteous and the smile's definitely helped me get comfortable. Positive experience: I almost always intermittently had problems here from the get-go because every time I tried to buy an M17+-rated game when I was younger they always I.D. me and the problems would escalate not only that, but certain employees like Taylor were very mean female employees here I don't like her nor do I like the other black lady employee that used to work here either. However, David is super nice! The "power to the players" slogan doesn't feel like it's there anymore because the players don't have a lot of options, and the store managers at most GameStops only care about money rather than the customer's experience. Trust me, I went here for (many years) and used to always like them now I'm kinda of mixed. Plus, GameForce here in Mandarin is better to a degree because they sell retro games but unfortunately they [SHUT DOWN] back in (2012) because they couldn't outdo GameStop which blows... This GameStop isn't all that bad, If you are looking for a quick local game store nearby can't say this one went all out with Funkopop action figures just yet, [laughs] I did go here with my then-friend a while back and he couldn't find "Pacific Rim for Xbox 360" so apparently they didn't have it! Edit: So apparently David doesn't work here anymore, and neither does Taylor or the other black employee that I mentioned prior in my review but Lucy (who I think is new) is super nice as well.

Negative experience: This place deserves a negative rating. It isn't the store's fault, but this was the location I was supposed to pick it up from. I placed an online order to pick up from the store on 8/19/2023, it processed and thanked me for my order, it even showed up on my bank account the next day. I was supposed to get an email stating when to pick it up, but never did & my online account showed no orders so I called the store to see what happened they couldn't find my order, but said several calls were coming in for the same thing & that I needed to call customer support. Today, I finally got through after waiting longer than the less than 2 minutes recording to be told that my order never processed & they can't give me the same 20% off promotion since it ended already, but they did see my total of $49.55 that was attempted on the sale. They had glitches in their online system & now as the customer I'm having to pay for their system failures because they REFUSE to give me the 20% off now!!! If there was an error with the purchase info then my order wouldn't had been completed at the time of checkout nor would it had showed up on my bank account. As a first time customer ever having to attempt to buy anything from your store is a terrible experience and super unprofessional of your company to act as if I'm asking for more than the discounted price and you should've been able to accommodate me as the customer for your online system problems instead of acting like it is my fault.

Negative experience: Was sold a sealed collectors edition without the season pass/digital content slip. Was told there was nothing they could do to help me, and I should contact the video games company myself. They wouldn't accept a return because the box is open even though it's missing content and pretty much said it's a collectors edition so I'm out of luck. The customer service line also said I'm out of luck and sorry for what it's worth. Out 30-40$ worth of merchandise, and they did almost nothing to help me. I'm getting all my games from ebay/amazon/bestbuy now. Worst costumer experience I've ever had, not surprised they're doing so poorly financially.

Negative experience: By far the worst Gamestop that I have ever shopped or tried to shop. After calling multiple times and either being told by a recorded voice stating that all associates were busy and to call back or calling and being placed on eternal hold-- then being disconnected I drove to the store to see if they had the item I wanted to purchase. I honestly was expecting a line to be out of the door and the place packed with customers. There was one customer and two associates. Neither associate seemed willing to assist me nor did they offer a greeting or assistance when I walked in. I did make a purchase because I was pressed for time and did not want to go to another store but if time permitted I would have shopped elsewhere. Keep in mind when I called the location at Pablo Creek Plaza they answered the phone and offered assistance, they had the item I wanted however they are located on the other side of town and I could not get there by my deadline. The associates need a lesson in customer service, your employee are due for failure in life with this poor work ethic and lack of willingness to work. DO BETTER..

Negative experience: Does not feel welcoming, if fact I felt like I was not supposed to be there. thin female manager is very rude, the associates seemed unhappy as well. but this was my only time visiting this location and it will definitely be my last, staff at other stores and gamestops around town make this one seem like a joke

Fantastic experience: My go to stop for my Funko pop collection and getting gift cards. The majority of my pop collection is from here, because they aren’t very expensive. The staff is very nice and the store is clean and well organized. Hope it doesn’t shut down. Also, the game trading is actually not a scam at this one. Got some good money from some Xbox 1 games I traded in

Positive experience: The store looks great and the staff was helpful and kind. However, I recommend if you are looking for used games to save money, I recommend going through the gamestop website. Other than that, I enjoyed my time there.

Negative experience: I went in looking for a specific black series item, when my husband just asked a simple question the employee that wasn’t even being addressed, a sickly skinny girl that had dirty blonde hair immediately became hostile and started talking over the employee he originally asked, and almost began scolding us when it came to answering our question. Behavior like this is a constant reoccurrence within all GameStop’s and is very unappealing when it comes to shopping. Attitudes like this make me want to get my collector items through other retailers. I hope the culture of GameStop’s employees changes soon or else it will end up being another reason this retailer will continue to close its doors permanently.

Positive experience: The manager was very helpful I was not in the store long at all due to his help. He was very knowledgeable of the game I was buying Halo infinity.

Negative experience: I go to this store all the time and buy games. No help from the CSR. Buy 2 used game get 1 free. They didn't tell me that until while she was ringing me up. Maybe I should go back to best buy

Negative experience: Bad experience with the manager Dave. Was extremely aggressive with me for no reason at all. Always shop here but will Never again. Not sure how long Dave has been working for Gamestop but he seemed very unprofessional and unknowledgealbe with products and store policies. I went to another Gamestop and was helped with no issues.

Negative experience: By far the worst GameStop I’ve been to as far as employees go. If you are looking for something specific, expect them to push you to buy something else. When you are looking for something, very little help. Even living within walking distance from here, I either drive to south side or go to Walmart right next door. The Walmart employees are more helpful to be honest.

Positive experience: This location is the cleanest and most organized store I've ever seen for a Gamestop. But the selection of collectibles and anything other than games and consoles, is pretty much nonexistent.
