Experiencia negativa: I do not recommend this location. I visited the store yesterday after work to purchase a PS5 controller. The person at the counter tells me "you know you can save money with a GameStop membership card." I told him "I understand you have to pitch the membership, but no thank you." The employee then states "This is where I am going to deny your transaction. You see, your not going to come in here and interrupt me. A customer came in recently and did the same thing. I had to call the police. You need to leave now. Walmart is next door." I was pretty dumbfounded. My response was "Well, you have a nice day." I would love to have a conversation with the district manager regarding this situation.

Experiencia negativa: Visited the store for a FREE event distribution for Pokémon. No purchase necessary per all official rules, but apparently not to these guys who tried making it a requirement that I had to buy card packs or be a GameStop Pro member to get one of the free codes. I didn't argue, I just left. But pretty sleezy if you ask me. The guy I was talking to behind the register didn't even look up once as I was asking him about it, just telling me that I couldn't have it.
Experiencia fantástica: This location is clean, efficient, organized, and offers personalized shopping experiences on most occasions. Sales associates offer honest opinions about merchandise based on your use-case, and are unafraid to recommend a competitor if it benefits their clientele. This Gamestop is ‘a vibe’. If an associate calls you rude on multiple occasions, you might be a jerk and if they aren’t cut off mid-sentence while doing their job, they are more receptive to your “no thanks.”
Experiencia negativa: Every time I come in this gamestop it's always this same employee being rude and whiny trying to gaslight customers that they were being rude somehow??? I don't know if this guy likes pretending to be a victim or gets a kick out of treating customers horribly. I don't know how their hiring process works but they should do better! I will not ever be coming back.
Experiencia positiva: I had called the GameStop closest to me to find out information on the Xbox X series and to also see how much I could get for my Xbox one X, the man who answered the phone, was helpful to a sort, but it seemed he was preoccupied with other things and it felt very rushed, I was barely finishing my sentences before he was already cutting me off and giving me an answer that wasn’t super helpful. I usually have a great experience with this corporation but this time it was sub par. I’m disappointed to see how far GameStop had declined in customer service over the years.

Experiencia negativa: Charging scalper prices for Pokémon cards. A booster bundle that retails at $25.99 being sold for $39.99 tcg price is $44. I guess a manager is never available either...I just wanted to open packs with my daughter will never shop here again.
Experiencia negativa: I need the district manager of this location to contact me immediately. This employee by the name of Johnny needs to be terminated immediately. I have never wanted a person to lose their position as much as I want this wicked person to be removed!!! Johnny racially profiled my daughter and told her that my Apple Watch was counterfeit and that Apple sold me a fake watch. I have contacted Apple to report these accusations so they should be contacting your company soon. I’ve tried to speak to the store manager but this rude and racist employee Johnny just picks and hangs up on me.

Experiencia fantástica: Helpful staff. In and out. Had to grab stocking stuffers and these guys had all the ideas.
Experiencia negativa: Got there at 3:50 pm. Had a sign posted on the door saying time out 3:10pm time back 4:00pm. Waited there until 4pm, knocked on the door at 4:05, called the store 5 times and nobody answered. Waited there until 4:25 and finally just ended up leaving. Very poor management and why most Gamestops are tanking.

Experiencia negativa: I'm leaving a one star review pure and simply because I spent 15 minutes attempting to reach someone at the store by phone, and no one would answer. I don't care how busy it is, you take the time to answer a ringing phone, let them know its busy and to please hold a moment, then get back to them as quickly as possible. You don't allow the phone to ring off the hook continuously for 15 minutes straight. That is just outrageous.

Experiencia negativa: on 7/5/24, they were not open from 12pm to close with no signage and the lights still on, it is like this on a couple days per week. extremely frustrating

Experiencia fantástica: This location closes at 7. Despite incorrect hours, that won’t update when an edit is submitted to Google. Just a heads up, Google Maps hasn’t updated the hours of operation, but the accurate hours, have already been updated/submitted. This has been happening quite frequently, with local business locations, whose hours vary from corporate website information. It’s not “just this GameStop being rude and lazy”. Ever since Covid, there’s so many businesses with incorrect hours and pending edits on Google’s side.
Experiencia negativa: This GameStop is never open now, and doesn't seem to be a viable pickup location on the actual website anymore. I'm assuming they're officially closing this location soon.
Experiencia negativa: Hours posted online are infact incorrect . Currently sitting outside the location on a Friday at 12:09 after checking google and they are infact closed on Fridays per hours signage on the door. Best bet is to call to see if they are open cuz location seems to make their own hours on the availability of staff

But greeted by sighs, a break denied, ‘Guess no rest,’ the employee implied.With a chuckle, we chose to retreat, ‘Enjoy your break,’ we said, beat the street. At seven, not close, yet service was meek, A lesson in service, ironically bleak.Usually, it's all good fun and games, But this time? A story that flames. A laugh, a lesson, in customer care, One star, for the break he got to snare.
Experiencia negativa: Go to the gamestop down the road. This store is not dependable. I pre-ordered a game weeks ago. I came to pick it up on the release date, Friday March 8th at 6pm. The store was closed with no explanation. Annoying, but sometimes emergencies happen so I figure the staff had an issue and had to close early. So I come back Saturday (March 9th) at noon. I am about to pay for the game I pre-ordered weeks ago when the staff member says before you pay "let me make sure I have the game". This of course, is a huge warning sign. He looks around, the game is not there. Keep in mind this is a pre order. I told them weeks ago I will be purchasing this game on this date week's in advance and they could not fulfill that order. What's worse is they no longer have extra copies on hand so I couldn't have gotten the game through them if I wanted too, which of course I no longer do. So I made two wasted trips to that store, which is over 20 minutes one way. I've been a gamestop customer for over 10 years but I will not be shopping at this location again.
Experiencia negativa: On Friday 2/2/24 at 7:18 PM this location was closed when online it says it’s open until 9pm. When we approached the door the employee on the inside just gave us a weird look and kept working on other things. When I called the “Open” location an employee answered the phone, I’m assuming it’s this jerk as he’s the only one in the building. This guy had horrible, and I mean awful, customer service. I asked if the location was open and he said no. Then I asked when they close on Fridays and he said 7pm. I let him know that on Google it says they close at 9pm. He responded by saying “I’m the employee, I work here, and I know for a fact that we close at 7pm.” I was astonished at the horrible response I got and let him know that online it says you’re open until 9pm and hung up. Will NEVER return to this location and I never even shop at these places but this definitely drove the nail in the coffin. Just buy everything digitally and definitely don’t come here.
Experiencia negativa: Would give zero stars if i could. Horrible. Worst customer service experience I've had in some time. Just stopped into the store in Lansing, before closing time i might add, and got kicked out of the store while browsing with my 14 year old. He (supposed customer service representative) was taking care of a customer when we arrived, and after he checked out said customer, he said "I'm closed. That was my last sale for the night." I thought he was joking, as he said it while smiling. He then said "I am serious, that was my last order.... it was my longest closing transaction ever". If was a very rude experience and as a former customer service representative, I'm baffled that someone like that can work in the retail business. Every customer service job I have ever worked included all customers inside the building before closing time. I'm not sure what the protocol is here, but booting potential customers is quite the lame policy, even if they arrive five minutes before scheduled closing time. He offered us to come back at 11am tomorrow, which will not be happening. I will drive out of my way, far away from home to avoid hitting this store in the future and will be sure to tell my friends about the horrible experience. My kid was bummed he could not spend money at your location, on his birthday. This store missed out on at least $200 tonight!

Experiencia positiva: Always a blast going in and seeing the staff, sometimes they have some okay sales. But I'm mostly just dissapointed in there high turnover rate for employees. It would be so much nicer to go in and see familiar faces everytime, really be able to build a relationship with the customers that way.

Experiencia negativa: Went to buy the Nintendo switch and the ring-fit adventure the box was labeled 54.99 for the ring-fit. I saw a flash at the register as he was peeling off the sticker price of 79.99. I told him it rang up wrong he said too late and it was my fault for not catching it. I pointed to the other three boxes with the same price he said it will still be the 79.99 go online if you want it cheaper. I asked to speak to his supervisor he said I am the store manager. Call customer service but i dont know the number. I will be returning the game. I had to go back to work and he had rang up another customer. Is this the norm for GameStop? Dont see myself going back

Only 5 customers in the store at a time and the staff member there was only accepting credit at the time. Good job to them for keeping their customers safe as the clerk (Zach) was actively sanitizing surfaces.

She asked an employee which one had a certain Pokemon character and he knew exactly what she was talking about! It shocked her and I both! They were kind and courteous and they have a replacement program for the used games which I thought was awesome! This is now my number one place to get games!

They have all of the consoles (new and old) and a decent selection for all of the old school consoles and a huge selection for all of the newer ones. Add that with accessories and competitive pricing and you got you self a great place for gaming!

He never seems to buy anything, just yells at people for walking by him. If you encounter him don't let him get to you, he's just a lonely old man lashing out for attention.
